People want to know if it is true that the protesters in Portland really did burn Bibles and the American flag? Before you scroll down for that answer I want you to recall what evil people burned Bibles in the past? The answer to that question is the people following Hitler. Hitler hated the Jews and tried his best to kill every Jew he could. There can be no question Satan was working in Hitler to try and stop bible prophecy from coming to pass. Satan knows and still knows now that if he could get rid of the Jews he could stop the rest of the prophecies about him from coming to pass. You see if the Jews were out of the way there could be no fulfillment of the 144,000 Jews for example who are preaching the Good News about Christ during the tribulation. What about the Jewish remnant who will be saved by Christ during the tribulation? These Jews would also have to be dealt with by Satan to stop prophecy from being completed.
When foretelling the future holocaust brought on by the Great Tribulation, Christ told the Jews that when a certain thing happens, flee to the mountains. What mountains did our Lord have in mind? Surely not the ones of the Holy Land, the country so populated, there is no place to hide. Here is what Christ said: “When you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel — let the reader understand — then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains” (Matthew 24:15, 16). The Lord must have had in mind Petra (pronounced PETra), a nearly inaccessible ancient city 50 miles south of the Dead Sea in southern Jordan and the surrounding mountainous area..
The point is Satan’s efforts to eradicate the Jews during the first holocaust failed however, Satan has not given up in his quest as we have seen from history. For example, Satan brought war after war upon the Jews after the Jews fulfilled the prophecies concerning the Jews returning back to Israel to make Israel again for a second time. The 1948 (or First) Arab–Israeli War, Six-Day War (June 1967), Yom Kippur War (October 1973), 1982 Lebanon War (1982), South Lebanon conflict (1985–2000), First Intifada (1987–1993) – First large-scale Palestinian uprising against Israel in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Second Intifada (2000–2005) – Second Palestinian uprising, a period of intensified violence, which began in late September 2000. 2006 Lebanon War (summer 2006), Gaza War (December 2008 – January 2009), Operation Pillar of Defense (November 2012), and Operation Protective Edge (July–August 2014). Not once after Israel became a nation for the second time has Israel last a war. Did that stop Satan from attempting to eradicate the Jews? Not a all!
We now see Satan’s foot prints in using Iran to try and wipe out the Jews. Over and over again we hear Iran’s threats they will destroy the nation of Israel. If you know your bible you know from the prophecy found in Ezekiel chapter 38 that Iran will be involved in another major war against Israel. Iran and many other Islamic nations in Ezekiel 38 will again try to do what Hitler failed to do however, Ezekiel shows the reader that God will again step in and He protect Israel from being wiped out. Satan’s last attempt to wipe out the Jews will come from the Antichrist. When the Antichrist takes his power he will invade Israel and, it will be at this time that Jesus warning to flee Israel will be understood by the Jews. Once again I present what Christ said. “When you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel — let the reader understand — then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains” (Matthew 24:15, 16). If you have been on the watch as Jesus commanded us to be you will know that war against Israel is just around the corner and so is the rise of the Antichrist. In the end the Antichrist will try to kill off every Jew but, just as he failed to do over these many centuries he will fail again via the Antichrist. Why has Satan tried so hard to get rid of the Jews? Because he knows if he can’t stop them then he can’t stop the prophecy which shows us that Jesus will toss Satan into the lake of fire along with the Antichrist and his false prophet.

In the mean time Satan is going to make life on Planet Earth a living hell not just for the Jews but for anyone who sides with the Messiah Jesus Christ. So don’t be surprised to see people burning bibles again! Satan knows his time is running out and he is going to try to take as many people as he can with him. Take a look at 1 Peter 5:8. “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” Now is the time to get on the Lord’s side.
