There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. Because of this the land mourns, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the fish of the sea are dying. [Hosea 4:1-3]

‘Love death for the sake of Allah as much as our enemies love life,” Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh told thousands of young Palestinians at last week’s graduation ceremony for Hamas camps in the Gaza Strip’s Yarmouk Stadium. Haniyeh and other senior Hamas officials exhorted the young graduates to not only annihilate Israel, but also to carry their fight across the globe, in a January 16 Al-Aqsa TV broadcast translated by MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute. “This generation, Allah willing, will vanquish Israel,” said Hamas Interior Minister Fathi Hammad. “Let me congratulate you on your future victory,” Hammad continued, “and on the annihilation of Israel. As I said yesterday, they only have eight years left.” “We pray for Allah to choose leaders and martyrs from among you, not only in Palestine, but throughout planet earth, so that the call for jihad will spread all over the world, and the entire world will embrace the religion of Allah.”

Headline:  Palestinian leader turns to Putin for Palestinian state, dumps US and Israel as peace partners

Headline:  Abbas Wants Greater Russian Role in Peace Talks

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) launched his “diplomatic intifada” against Israel and exit from the Kerry peace initiative Thursday, Jan. 23, from Moscow. His meetings with President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev marked his breakaway from the US-led peace process with Israel, four months before it was due to expire, and signaled his bid for Russian backing for a Palestinian state. The Palestinian leader’s defection caught both Secretary of State John Kerry and Prime Minister Binyamin unprepared – and surprised their intelligence agencies. Putin and Abbas almost certainly planned in advance to drop their bombshell on the day both Kerry and Netanyahu were otherwise engaged at two international events in Switzerland, Geneva 2 on Syria and the World Economic Forum. For the Russian leader it was a chance to show the international community and the Obama administration that he was several steps ahead of the game on the three hottest Middle East issues – Iran’s nuclear program, the Syrian civil conflict and the Palestinian bid for statehood.

Headline:  Kerry, Netanyahu Discuss Peace Talks At Davos

US Secretary of State John Kerry met Friday with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu as he seeks to force the US’s agenda for peace between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA), according to AFP.

The two men held closed talks on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss mountain town of Davos, ahead of what Washington has billed as a major address by Kerry on the Middle East to the gathering later in the day. Amid turbulence and upheaval across many Arab countries, including the war in Syria, the US administration’s foreign policy in the region has been heavily criticized at home and by key Gulf allies for lacking focus. But Kerry was expected to hit back at the accusations to “talk about our commitment to engagement in every region of the world and our commitment to diplomacy as a first resort,” a senior State Department official said.

Headline:  Kerry: Peace ultimately requires full IDF pullout from Palestinian areas

Headline:  Netanyahu: I will not uproot a single Israeli

US Secretary of State John Kerry said Friday that a permanent peace agreement must ultimately involve the full withdrawal of Israeli troops from Palestinian territories, and warned that the failure of the current round of talks to yield an accord would be catastrophic for both parties. In a far-ranging speech to participants at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Kerry dismissed claims that the US was withdrawing from the Middle East, called for Syrian President Bashar Assad’s removal from power, and said Iran must back up its words with actions if it truly seeks better relations with the world. The bulk of his address, however, focused on the US’s commitment to resolving ”this intractable conflict [that] has confounded administration after administration,” and the “unprecedented” efforts made by the US in the past year toward reaching an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord. Everyone knows what the endgame to the conflict looks like, Kerry said, hinting at the outline of a possible framework agreement: “An independent state for Palestinians wherever they may be; security arrangements for Israel that leave it more secure, not less; a full, phased, final withdrawal of the Israeli army; a just and agreed solution to the Palestinian refugee problem; an end to the conflict and all claims and mutual recognition of the nation-state of the Palestinian people and the nation-state of the Jewish people.” For their part, Kerry said, the Palestinians need assurances ”that at the end of the day their territory is going to be free of Israeli troops, that occupation ends.”

Ten deputies filed a petition on Thursday calling on Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh to designate a session for general discussion over the ongoing Middle East peace talks and results of US Secretary of State John Kerry’s visit to Jordan. The MPs, led by Deputy Mustafa Yaghi (Balqa, 4th District), want to bring the ongoing debate on the US-mediated peace talks to Parliament.“We are a substantial part of this debate,” Yaghi said, indicating that Parliament is the first place where such issues should be addressed. He said the request was made based on internal debates in the Lower House among several MPs. The signatories to the memo want to hear the government’s point of view on the ramifications of Kerry’s visit and what it means to the Palestinian issue, Jordan and the region. They also want to know more about Jordan’s role in the ongoing negotiations. Kerry met with His Majesty King Abdullah and senior Jordanian officials this month. He was here to provide his vision over a potential solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. However, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour recently stressed that nothing was clear yet, and that he expects Kerry to come back to the region in the next few days with what he described as a “detailed proposal” to be submitted to all parties. The US diplomat, who has been leading substantial efforts to push peace negotiations forward, did not submit a clear plan but explored means to bring the two parties closer in terms of their stances on final status issues. On Tuesday, the premier advised against “jumping to conclusions” at this stage. He said Kerry was examining points of view of both the Palestinians and the Israelis, and is expected to come back with a detailed proposal for both sides. However, local observers and former senior officials have expressed concern over the possibility that the Middle East conflict will be resolved by making Jordan an “alternative homeland for the Palestinians”.

Headline:  Two Syria rockets hit Lebanon’s Hermel, no casualties

A Lebanese network was given rare and unprecedented access to an Israeli Air Force base as part of a larger attempt to send Hezbollah a message.  A reporter from Lebanon’s LBC interviewed Ramat David Air Force Base commander, as well as Captain Avihai Aderi, head of Arab media at the IDF Spokesperson Unit. At the beginning of the report, the Lebanese network focused on attempted to reach an agreement regarding Syria: “While world power are at the Geneva II conference to find a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis, head of the Ramat David Air Force Base sends a threatening message, warning against the continued transfer of strategic arms from Syria to Hezbollah, threatening that his army will work to prevent arms’ transfer.” The air force unit commander – who like all IAF pilots and commanders must remain unnamed and masked – said in the rare interview that “We are closely following attempts to smuggle arms from Syria to Lebanon and attempting to prevent it from reaching Hezbollah.” He further noted that “Hezbollah has begun receiving the type of weapons that are superior to those of independent and neighboring countries and we must prepare for such a scenario.”

Lebanon’s prime minister-designate threatened to form a new government without Hezbollah soon unless the powerful group’s allies agree to his proposed cabinet, a senior political source said on Friday. Lebanon has been without a government since March 2013. Prime Minister Najib Mikati resigned after intense political squabbles, exacerbated by sectarian divisions over the civil war in neighboring Syria, made it nearly impossible to legislate. Mikati has been running a caretaker cabinet with minimal powers since then. Tamim Salam, the prime minister-designate, has seized recent momentum in political negotiations to try to form a government.

A senior member of the Saudi royal family attacked the United States on Friday over its policy on Syria, and called for a U.N. resolution to pull “Iraqi and Lebanese Shiite militia” out of the Middle Eastern country. Prince Turki al-Faisal, a former intelligence chief and an outspoken critic of President Barack Obama’s administration since it started secret nuclear talks with Iran, said the world was disappointed with the “sense of no direction” in U.S. foreign policy. “I want the Americans to go to the Security Council and get a resolution that forces should be deployed to stop the fighting in Syria,” he told the World Economic Forum in Davos. “If that is not available, then at least a humanitarian corridor to allow people not to starve.”  Saudi Arabia and Qatar have backed the main Sunni Muslim opposition Syrian National Coalition and the Free Syrian Army with weapons, training, money and military intelligence in the fight against President Bashar al-Assad’s government.

Three bombing attacks in downtown Cairo Friday killed at least eight people and injured more than 60. The first was carried out by a suicide car bomber who tried to storm the Egyptian Security Directorate Headquarters. Soon after, explosive devices struck the entrance to the central railway station, injuring eight people, followed by an attack on a police station, which left four dead.  This wave of terror was claimed by the Al Qaeda Sinai coalition, Ansar Beit Magdis.

Headline:  Assad to Stay in Power Until Elections – Minister

Syrian President Bashar Assad will stay in power until his country is ready to vote in democratic elections, a Syrian minister who is taking part in talks with opposition forces said Friday. Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi said that if Assad were to leave office early, it would not solve the country’s problems. “The president of Syria will stay in power until democratic elections in which everyone can take part are held. However, before organizing them, we will have to defeat terrorism in the country and stop the killing of civilians,” he said. According to the minister, the government has three main priorities. “Firstly, we need to exterminate real terrorists in the country, secondly – to help the Syrian people and to have sanctions lifted. And, thirdly, we need to hold democratic and free elections,” al-Zoubi said.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem has threatened to walk out of peace talks in Geneva just hours after they began, state media have said. Mr Muallem told UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi he would quit if “serious” discussions had not begun by Saturday. The regime and the opposition have refused to meet face-to-face and are communicating through Mr Brahimi. Later, Mr Brahimi said government and opposition delegates agreed to meet “in the same room” on Saturday. Diplomats say they are now aiming at small concessions such as local truces rather than an overall peace deal. Both sides blame each other for the lack of progress.

Listed below are the nations which will attack Israel from Ezekiel chapter 38 and their modern day names.

Gog is the leader of the Russian invasion of Israel.

Magog, Meshech, and Tubal comprise modern day Russia.

Persia is Iran, parts of northern Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Cush is Ethiopia and Sudan.

Put is Libya and will most likely include Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.

Gomer is Eastern Germany.

Beth Togarmah is Turkey and Armenia.

There are major differences between the Psalm 83 war and the Ezekiel 38 war which shows us they are not the same war.  Here are a few major differences. At the current time Israel is still calling for Peace and safety and they have bars, gates, and walls to protect them from the PLO.  The  told Ezekiel this war will take place when Israel is living in peace and feeling safe.  As long as the enemies of Israel listed in the Psalm 83 war are working to wipe out Israel, Israel will never feel safe enough to remove any of the bars, gates, or walls which shows us the Psalm war has to take place first.  Another major difference between the Psalm war and Ezekiel war is the nations who attack Israel are different. In the Psalm 83 war you see the nations that border Israel attacking her.  The nations listed to attack Israel in the Ezekiel war do not show any of the nations which are listed in the Psalm war.  Why?  The answer is simple. Israel will already have destroyed the nations who attacked them in the Psalm 83 war and they will make no other to attempt to wipe them out.  When the nations listed in the Ezekiel war see what Israel did to their Brothers listed in the Psalm war they in turn will pick up the torch and try to do what the Psalm 83 nations couldn’t do, wipe Israel off the map.  How will this Ezekiel 38-39 war end. God tells us that 5/6 of the entire army that attacks Israel will be killed.  At the end of the day Israel will have won the Psalm 83 war and the Ezekiel war.  In the Psalm 83 war the IDF will have defeated their enemies.  In the Ezekiel it will be God who steps in to wipe out all the armies who try to wipe out Israel.  The current events you are now witnessing in the Middle East is setting up the scene for both the Psalm war and Ezekiel war.

I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them. 38 I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord. 39 ‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the Lord.”

Headline:  Rouhani: Israel Will be Sorry if It Attacks Iran

Israel will regret it if it attacks Iran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned on Thursday. Speaking to CNN on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Rouhani dismissed the possibility that Israel would attempt a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities. “Israel knows very well what the response would be. Israel knows well our regional capability. When it comes to practice, the Israelis cannot do that. If they do such a crazy thing, our response will make them rue the day,” he threatened. Rouhani said that in the interview that sanctions against Iran are illegal and are undermining international law. “When it comes to sanctions, have they been successful so far? Sanctions first and foremost are illegal,” he said. “And a Congress which claims to be making laws should not contravene international laws.” “These sanctions translate into the weakening of the NPT (Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons), the weakening of international laws and regulations. No other country can decide for another country,” he claimed.

Headline:  Over 140,000 flee Iraq’s raging Anbar

Violence in parts of Anbar province held by anti-government fighters killed three people as the United Nations warned on Friday of Iraq’s worst displacement since its brutal 2006-08 sectarian conflict. More than 140,000 people have fled their homes in the mostly-desert province, which shares a border with Syria, since unrest erupted in late December as security forces and their tribal allies have been locked in a deadly standoff with militants, including those affiliated with the Al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Diplomats and foreign leaders including US President Barack Obama have urged Baghdad to pursue political measures to undercut support for militants, but with an election looming in April, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has taken a hard line. Security forces have mounted a massive operation to retake parts of the Anbar provincial capital Ramadi being held by anti-government fighters, and for days have engaged in clashes and exchanged mortar fire.

South Sudanese rebels accused the army of attacking their positions on Friday just hours before a cease-fire deal agreed by the government and rebels comes into effect. Rebel spokesman Lul Ruai Koang said “simultaneous attacks have been launched” by the army on rebel positions in the northern oil state of Unity, and in the volatile eastern Jonglei region. But army spokesman Philip Aguer said he had “no reports of fighting,” and that clashes in Jonglei had taken place before the deal was signed, when rebels attacked government forces. Government and rebels pledged on Thursday to halt fighting within 24 hours and end five weeks of bitter conflict that has left thousands dead, but both sides have said they doubt the other can fully control the forces on the ground. At sunset, Aguer said the country remained calm, with the cease-fire starting at 1730 GMT.

Hundreds of Islamists with the radical Tunisian group Hizb ut-Tahrir, which advocates establishing an Islamic “caliphate”, gathered in Tunis Friday to protest against the “secular” new constitution.  The protesters waved the black and white Islamist flag, and shouted slogans, including “Down with the secular constitution!” and “Establishing Islam is obligatory, sovereignty is for the Koran and sharia [Islamic law].” “We are announcing our rejection of this constitution which serves foreign intelligence services… We have one master, our Prophet Mohammed,” one of the speakers shouted to the crowd, to the cries of “Allahu akbar! Lawmakers on Thursday completed their line-by-line scrutiny of the text late on Thursday, after three weeks of heated debate and disagreement on a range of subjects, including the role of Islam and a ban of accusations of apostasy.

Headline: Nasdaq down 2 percent as Dow heads for worst week since 2012

A full-scale flight from emerging market assets accelerated on Friday, setting global shares on course for their worst week this year and driving investors to safe-haven assets including U.S. Treasuries, the yen and gold. U.S. stocks slumped, putting the benchmark S&P 500 on track for its worst drop since November 7 and pushing the index down 1.8 percent for the week. Concerns about slower growth in China, reduced support from U.S. monetary policy and political problems in Turkey, Argentina and Ukraine drove the selling. The Turkish lira hit a record low. Argentina’s peso fell again after the country’s central bank abandoned its support of the currency. The declines mirror moves from last June when developing country stocks fell almost 18 percent over about two months and hit global shares. The broad nature of the selloff combines country-specific problems with the reality that reduced U.S. Federal Reserve bond buying reduces the liquidity that has in the past boosted higher-yielding emerging markets assets.

Headline: China sends surveillance jets to East China Sea defense zone

China’s airforce has dispatched another patrol to monitor its controversial air defense zone in the East China Sea and issue warnings to foreign military jets in the zone, it said on Friday. The United States, Europe and Japan have criticized China’s air defense zone, saying its establishment last November was provocative and exacerbates tensions between Beijing and Tokyo. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe this week said Japan and China should avoid repeating the past mistakes of Britain and Germany, which fought in World War One despite strong economic ties. Ties have been strained by a recent visit by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to a controversial shrine for war dead, China’s air defense zone and the long-running dispute over a string of East China Sea islets that both countries claim, known as the Diaoyu in Chinese and the Senkaku in Japanese. China, which is rapidly expanding military spending and is the world’s second largest economy, has repeatedly dispatched long-range patrols to the East China Sea since it established the defense zone. The most recent patrol, made up of several aircrafts, set out to verify the identities of foreign crafts, shadow planes to “collect evidence” about them, and administer warnings, said Defense Ministry spokesman Shen Jinke, according to an article in the official Liberation Daily posted on the ministry’s website. The Air Defence Identification Zone has not impacted commercial air traffic, Shen added, and China’s patrols are purely defensive and consistent with international norms. China has frequently given verbal warnings to foreign military aircrafts to enforce its dominion over the zone.

Headline:  North Korea warns U.S., South Korea military drills could spark disaster

North Korea took its demand for the United States and South Korea to halt joint military drills to the United Nations, holding a rare news conference on Friday to warn that the exercises could get “out of control and plunge into unimaginable disaster.” North Korea’s U.N. Ambassador Sin Son Ho said that the international community should no longer allow the United States and South Korea to carry out the military drills on the Korean peninsula, which are scheduled for February and March. “If the ‘coordination’ and ‘cooperation’ with the U.S. are so precious and valuable, they had better hold the exercises in the secluded area or in the U.S. far away from the territorial land, sea and air of the Korean peninsula,” Sin said. North Korea has traditionally called for the joint exercises to be called off, seeing them as a prelude to invasion. Sin repeated that demand at the United Nations on Friday, first made by Pyongyang last week, for the drills to be canceled. South Korea on January 17 rejected the North’s call to halt military drills with the United States, saying that as a democracy, it does not launch preemptive strikes.

Ten human H7N9 bird flu cases were newly reported in China on Friday, including one in Beijing, one in Guangdong Province, one in Fujian Province and seven in Zhejiang Province, forcing cities in Zhejiang to close their live poultry markets. In the first case reported in the city this year, a man in Beijing was confirmed to have contracted H7N9 on Thursday night, according to the Chinese capital’s disease control and prevention center. He is receiving treatment at Ditan Hospital. The center said the patient had bought pigeons and ate them before being admitted to the hospital. The health and family planning committee of south China’s Guangdong Province likewise reported on Friday that a 34-year-old woman in Shenzhen City had contracted the virus. Comment: In Revelation 9:21 we see Jesus speaking to us about drug’s. The words “magic arts” in Revelation 9:21 is the Greek word pharmakia from which comes our word “pharmacy”. It signifies the use of medicine, drugs, spells, such as those used in witchcraft and those used today by those who are seeking a greater “high”. This generation was to be labeled a drug generation and we are.

Headline:   Holder: Feds to set rules for banks and pot money

The Obama administration will soon announce regulations to make it easier for banks to do business with legal marijuana sellers, Attorney General Eric Holder said Thursday. “You don’t want just huge amounts of cash in these places. They want to be able to use the banking system,” Holder said during an appearance at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center. “There’s a public safety component to this. Huge amounts of cash—substantial amounts of cash just kind of lying around with no place for it to be appropriately deposited is something that would worry me, just from a law enforcement perspective.” The federal banking accommodation, being worked out jointly by the Justice and the Treasury departments, comes in the wake of decisions by voters in Colorado and Washington state to legalize the sale and possession of pot. The moves have created legal tensions, since marijuana remains illegal under federal law. One particular problem has been the refusal of banks to deal with pot-related businesses out of fears they will be accused of violating money laundering laws. “We’re in the process now of working with our colleagues at the Treasury Department to come up with regulations that will deal with this issue,” Holder said. He added that the new rules were likely to emerge “very soon” and were not intended to amount to a blessing of marijuana by the federal government. “It is an attempt to deal with a reality that exists in these states,” he said.

Africa- ONLY COUNTRIES NOT IN PROPHECY

Headline:  16 killed in CAR as new president takes office

At least 16 people have been killed in ethnic clashes in the Central African Republic (CAR) while a new interim president was sworn into office with a plea for different militia groups to put down their arms and halt the persisting violence. The Thursday development came as nearly a million people, or a quarter of the nation’s population, have also been displaced by the escalating violence with Christian militias targeting the country’s Muslim population.  Hundreds of looters rampaged through Muslim areas of Bangui on Thursday, burning homes and carrying off furniture and metal roofs. The head of the country’s Red Cross Antoine Mbao Bogo, said the northern PK12 neighborhood was the epicenter of the anti-Muslim violence. “There are scenes of xenophobia where people are stabbing others because they belong to another ethnic group. There were 16 killed in an atrocious manner,” Bogo added, as quoted in a Reuters report. French forces, meanwhile, targeted a group of Muslim demonstrators who were protesting against lack of security after Christian militia killed a person at a camp for displaced Muslims waiting to leave the city, according to witnesses.

Headline:  US Threatens Ukraine with Sanctions Over Kiev Violence

Headline:  EU sends mixed message on Ukraine, as death toll mounts

The US has threatened Ukraine with sanctions over the violence in Kiev’s Independence Square, according to Maariv. White House spokesman Jay Carney told a briefing Thursday that the tensions in the country were a direct result of the government failing to acknowledge the “legitimate” concerns of the Ukrainian people, after tens of thousands have demonstrated in the square over the government’s new anti-protest measures since Sunday night. Protestors claim the move is a direct violation of their rights to freedom of expression.  Washington has threatened economic consequences if talks between the two fail, according to the daily, and has called on the government to revoke the laws.
