Revelation 1:12-20: 12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 19Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; 20The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.”
We are so very near to the second coming of Jesus Christ that I want to make sure you understand who and what the seven candlesticks are in the warning from Revelation chapter 1. As you can see from the reading? the seven candlesticks are the seven churches.
In chapter 2 and 3 of the Revelation Jesus addresses each one of the seven churches. For most of the churches Jesus has something against them, but He gives them a chance to repent. The last days church is the Laodicean Church. This is seen in Revelation 3:14-22, Jesus gives a warning that is pretty scary. This is what He says in verse 16. “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth”. The only church of the seven Jesus didn’t have anything bad to say about is the Philadelphia church. To this church there is a promise that Jesus will keep this church from passing through the 7 year tribulation. In verse 8 and 10 of chapter 3 this is His promise. “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” In verse 10 Christ says, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
The 7 churches can be found in people all over this planet today, and the question remains which one of these churches does Jesus see you as? Are you really a follower of Jesus Christ, one who is doing the will of the Father? Are you one who praises Him with your lips, but your heart is far from Him as the Word says? Is Jesus looking down at your life and is getting ready to spue you out of His mouth, or is He looking down with excitement knowing you are in fact a true child of Christ doing His will? Many of you may not really think that these seven candlesticks are burning before Christ, but I can assure you they are! I don’t care what Church you go to and how many times you go, if your life outside the church looks just like those of the world, who do you think you are fooling?
Do you not know Jesus is watching and nothing will escape Him? All prophecy is coming to pass, and to be honest with you all, it is coming so fast now I am having a hard time keeping up with all that is taking place, but this is also part of Christ’s warning to us as He warned in these last days the events would be played out as a women with labor pains, and that is exactly what we are seeing take place now. As sure as the candlesticks are burning before the Savior Jesus Christ, and He is the only Savior, you must pick which one of these candlesticks is going to represent your life that is currently before the Lamb of God Christ Jesus. If by this message the Holy Spirit speaks to you showing you that you have to change your life while you still have time to repent of whatever it is you are doing and become one like the Philadelphia church waiting to be taken to Christ. Just because you may attend a huge church doesn’t mean Jesus is happy with what is going on in that church. Is your pastor preaching Jesus Christ’s Word from Genesis to Revelation? Is your pastor keeping you protected in these last days by keeping you aware of the last day signs? Jesus gave us a command to keep on the watch, He did not say Keep on the watch if you have time, or when you feel like it. He did not say don’t say anything to your church because you may scare them away! It is time for all of us to become what Jesus has envisioned us to be. Choose now what candlestick you are before you find out the hard way which one Jesus has to deal with.
Dear heavenly Father and my Lord Jesus Christ. You have given me so many to spread your Word of life to, and of your Salvation. You have blessed me with your support of the Holy Spirit that even as it may appear I have little, you have made it possible that people all over the world can read my work for you for free. You have opened the doors for me to preach in many lands, and I am truly a blessed man. It is my prayer Lord that you will lead everyone who is reading this to your Kingdom. For those who have been living in open sin may your Holy Spirit direct them to your cross. May they touch your cross and feel your blood which you have poured out for them. I pray for their souls Lord. I pray that you will snatch away the many that have been taken by your enemy Satan in the last days spiritual warfare. Lord, look down upon your creation and save your people Lord. Draw them to you as the door is closing. In closing Father I repeat your own words to the Church of Philadelphia. “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take they crown.”
