Footage of IDF Strikes on Gazan Terror Sites
In response to the renewal of rocket fire by Gaza terrorists after the 72-hour-cease that began on August 5th, IDF aircraft targeted a number of terror sites throughout the Gaza Strip.
“Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! 2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. 4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

Two people have been injured from shrapnel falling in the Sdot HaNegev region, it was announced Friday afternoon. The IDF confirmed that one soldier was lightly injured and a civilian – Sapir College director Dr. Nachmi Paz – was moderately wounded. Dr. Paz is being treated for his injuries in Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva for shrapnel wounds to his leg. Earlier, a senior government officials stated to Arutz Sheva that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon had authorized the IDF to retaliate with force to a barrage of over 18 rockets on Israeli civilians Friday morning. The report surfaces less than one hour after Palestinian media sources reported possible airstrikes in northern Gaza. IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner confirmed both reports close to 11:00 am Friday. “The IDF remains alert and maintains a high level of preparedness with both defensive capabilities, and striking capabilities in order to address the renewed aggression,” the IDF added, in a press release. “The IDF is determined to defend the civilians of the state of Israel.” A military spokeswoman told AFP that no Israeli soldiers entered Gaza to carry out the strikes. There has been “no change on the ground,” she said.

Headline: Palestinians press on with Cairo talks despite end of Gaza truce
The Israeli delegation has left Egypt following the end of a 72-hour cease-fire brokered by Cairo and the renewal of hostilities by Hamas. The delegation arrived at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel shortly before the truce expired. A diplomatic source in Egypt said the Israeli visit had lasted nine hours, longer than the previous two visits this week. There was no immediate comment from Egypt, which has positioned itself as mediator but has struggled to clinch a deal. Israel has stated repeatedly that it will not negotiate terms of a longer-term cease fire under rocket attack. Meanwhile, Palestinian factions will remain in Cairo and press on with Egyptian-mediated talks despite the end of the ceasefire in Gaza, the head of the delegation, Fatah official Azzam Ahmed, said on Friday. “We are not for escalation. We are ready to continue through our Egyptian brothers in negotiating to reach a final agreement that would return the rights to their owners,” Ahmed said. “I mean here lifting the blockade of Gaza.”

Headline: Fatah Official Calls for Ethnic Cleansing of Israelis, Jews
The Palestinian Authority (PA) has called for ethnic cleansing against Jewish Israelis, after an official posted on Facebook to “drive the occupier out from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.” Fatah Central Committee Member Tawfiq Tirawi posted a message to his official Facebook page reading, “O our free people of resolve and sacrifice in Gaza, you are more honored than us all… We remain committed to the promise: freedom, independence, and driving out the occupier from the entire pure land, from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea.” “Long live free Gaza!” he added. The post was translated by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW). Tirwai has long been a proponent of violence against Israel, calling on Palestinians to take up arms shortly after the Hamas-Fatah “unity government” was declared in April. In recent weeks, Fatah has called for violent “revolution” against Israel, and threatened the Jewish state by telling it to “prepare the body bags.”

Headline: Israeli minister urges Germany and EU to send inspectors to Gaza
Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has urged Germany to help find a solution to the conflict in Gaza and send inspectors to Gaza’s borders along with other European Union countries. Lieberman told Thursday’s mass-selling German daily Bild that Germany had a “very significant” role to play in preventing an economic and humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where Israel and Egypt maintain tight restrictions on the movement of goods and people to try to prevent arms reaching Islamist militants. He said Germany should bring together EU leaders to help find a lasting settlement for Gaza. Lieberman said he was not suggesting the despatch of troops or police. “But Germany and the EU need to send inspectors to Gaza to control the trade the Palestinians conduct with neighboring states.” Germany, France and Britain have proposed reactivating a European Union mission on the Egypt-Gaza border to help stabilize the enclave, a German diplomatic source said on Wednesday.

A European source told Palestinian media outlets on Friday that Europe was willing to establish a sea route between the Gaza Strip and Larnaca, Cyprus – meant for both people and merchandise. According to the initiative, European observers would be present both in Gaza and Larnaca in order to prevent security violations. The source noted that Europe was interested in finding a comprehensive, permanent solution in order to save from having to rehabilitate the Strip every few years. “We want to find a solution to the Gaza problem by reactivating the 2005 agreement on the crossings – including the crossing between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.” The source said that Europe has consulted with all relevant parties on the matter – including the Palestinian Authority, Israel, and Egypt – and is still waiting for their response.

Headline: Hamas Admits Executing Palestinians Suspected of Spying for Israel During Gaza War
Ayman Taha, a former spokesman for Hamas was found dead Thursday in Gaza City, but there were conflicting reports as to the cause of his death. According to AFP, Hamas said Taha’s body was found in a neighborhood of the city that was heavily bombed by Israel and accused the Jewish state of being responsible for his death. Taha was killed when Israeli forces “targeted him in the apartment where he was with several others in Gaza City” in the Shejaiya neighborhood, the group claimed in a statement quoted by the news agency. He was severely wounded and died later, the statement said. Some Arab media outlets, however, reported that Taha was executed by Hamas over charges of spying for Egypt. Taha, the son of one of the group’s founders, was a well known spokesman for Hamas before his arrest in February. Hamas’s security apparatus detained him as part of an investigation into the possible “abuse of funds” and other allegations. If Taha was indeed executed by Hamas over spying or collaboration charges, that would not be a first for Hamas.

Headline: King, Ashton discuss Gaza truce
His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday discussed efforts seeking to uphold the ceasefire and end the Israeli aggression on Gaza with Catherine Ashton, the EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy and first vice president of the European Commission. In a telephone call with Ashton, the King stressed the pivotal role of the international community and the EU in ensuring a complete halt of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and addressing the catastrophic humanitarian situation it has caused and the destruction of infrastructure. His Majesty also mentioned the draft resolution on Gaza prepared by Jordan as a non-permanent UN Security Council member, in coordination with Palestine and on behalf of the Arab group, a Royal Court statement said. The resolution seeks to lift the blockade imposed on Gaza and proposes a plan to rebuild the coastal enclave, he said. Discussions also covered the latest regional developments, especially the situation in Syria and Iraq, with the King highlighting Jordan’s increasing burdens resulting from hosting large numbers of Syrian refugees.

Headline: Russian nuclear-capable bombers ‘tested’ US air defenses 16 times in last 10 days
Russian strategic nuclear bombers and other military aircraft entered US air defense identification zones (ADIZs) at least 16 times over the past ten days, American defense officials confirmed on Thursday. “Over the past week, NORAD has visually identified Russian aircraft operating in and around the US air defense identification zones,” said Maj. Beth Smith, spokeswoman for US Northern Command and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). Smith sought to downplay the incursions that she called “a spike in activity,” telling the Washington Free Beacon’s Bill Gertz that the flights were assessed as routine training missions and exercises. But an unnamed defense official familiar with the incursion reports disagreed with Smith’s assessment. “These are not just training missions,” the official told Gertz, saying that Russian strategic nuclear forces appear to be “trying to test our air defense reactions, or our command and control systems.” NORAD scrambled fighter jets several times when Russian strategic aircraft flew along US ADIZs. The planes included a mix of Tu-95 Bear H heavy bombers and Tu-142 Bear F maritime reconnaissance aircraft, as well as one IL-20 intelligence collection aircraft, Smith said. The bomber flights took place mainly along the Alaskan air defense identification zone that covers the Aleutian Islands and the continental part of the state, and one incursion involved entry into Canada’s air defense zone, she added.

Headline: UN Calls for South Sudan Rivals to Resolve Crisis
Headline: Police send personnel to join UN forces in Sudan
The U.N. Security Council urgently called Friday for South Sudan’s feuding political leaders to resolve a mounting crisis and threatened targeted sanctions against perpetrators of ethnic violence. A presidential statement approved by all 15 council members pressed President Salva Kiir and former vice president and current rebel leader Riek Machar to implement a cease-fire and form a transitional government by Sunday. It did not name any potential targets of sanctions. The sharp dispute stems in part from when Kiir accused Machar in December of trying to oust him in a coup, which unleashed months of ethnic attacks and failed cease-fires. In recent days, an outbreak of violence has occurred along the Sudan-South Sudan border and at least six South Sudanese aid workers were killed by a militia hunting the Nuer ethnic group. All of the murdered aid workers are members of the Nuer, to which Machar belongs. Some observers believe the violence threatens to pull Sudan and its rebel groups into South Sudan’s civil war. The Security Council, which plans to visit South Sudan next week, also warned that a “catastrophic” lack of food could lead to famine. A senior U.N. official said this week that the humanitarian crisis has put almost 4 million people at risk of going hungry and another some 50,000 children at risk of dying of acute malnutrition. South Sudan is a largely Christian nation that broke off from Muslim-dominated Sudan after a 2011 referendum.

A U.N. delegation was holding talks in Tripoli on Friday to try to broker a cease-fire between armed factions who have turned the Libyan capital into a battleground after the worst fighting since the fall of Muammar Gadhafi. The delegation, led by a representative of the United Nations mission in Libya, known as UNSMIL, aims to end the violence, help displaced residents and alleviate food and gasoline shortages, UNSMIL said in a statement on its website. “UNSMIL is working closely with the international community in a joint effort to achieve a durable and sustainable cease-fire,” it said.

An air assault by Operation Dignity forces allegedly killed 70 Ansar al-Sharia and other Islamist fighters near Benghazi, Libya Herald reported on Thursday (August 7th). The Islamists were bombarded in Maghzana overnight as they tried to approach the Benina airbase in Benghazi, according to Brigadier-General Saqr Adam Geroushi, the commander of Operation Dignity’s air forces. Saiqa Special Forces moved to the Benina base nine days ago after they were forced out of their Buatni headquarters by Ansar al-Sharia.

Tunisia
Headline: Tunisia to call up reservists to secure polls
Tunisian Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa has authorised finance “to call up army reservists in order to contribute to securing upcoming elections”, a government statement said on Friday. After months of political wrangling, Tunisia’s parliament last month approved October 26 as the date for legislative polls and November 23 for a first round of a presidential election. Questioned by AFP, a government spokesman was unable to say how many reservists would be called up, or what tasks the army would undertake to ensure that the elections are trouble-free. Jomaa’s government will also “take steps to shut Internet sites linked to terrorism, and pursue those who use them,” the statement said. A government source said these measures would target mainly web pages that belong to “takfiri” jihadist militant groups “who incite killings of army personnel and security forces”.

Headline: Algerian Official Calls for Severing of Diplomatic Ties with Morocco
Responding to the recent statements of Salaheddine Mezouar, Moroccan Foreign Minister, holding Algeria responsible for disabling the Maghreb Union, the President of the Consultative National Commission for Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (CNCPPDH) Farouk Ksentini demanded this week that Algeria take a “strict” stance towards Morocco, and called for “severance of diplomatic relations” with the Kingdom. Ksentini, a lawyer, said that “The Kingdom [of Morocco] is solely responsible for the paralysis of the Maghreb Union.” In an attempt to push his country of Algeria to formally react, Ksentini said that he was “convinced” that Algeria’s Foreign Minister, “who is known for his wisdom, will answer his Moroccan counterpart in a timely manner,” stressing that the Algerians “have no problem with their Moroccan brothers.”

Headline: Radicalism takes root in northern Morocco
Headline: Morocco, US ink security accord
News about a Moroccan national who leads an Islamic State (ISIS) brigade in Syria is raising talk about Islamist jihadists in northern Morocco. Mohamed Hamdouch, a 28-year-old jihadist who is also a member of the Islamic council of the organisation, appeared in a video cutting off the heads of five people. Before fighting in Syria, he ran a clothing business in Fnideq and was recruiting jihadists from the area. A fortnight ago, Moroccan security services also arrested a French jihadist in Tangier for seeking to recruit fighters and send them to organisations loyal to al-Qaeda. Analysts say that northern Morocco has become a fertile breeding ground for radicalisation. According to Human Rights Defence Association Chairman Lahbib Haji, the region is more conservative than elsewhere in Morocco. “Furthermore, they are permanently in contact with Moroccans who have settled in Europe. That makes it easier to recruit them,” the Tetouan barrister said. The cells recruit members from underprivileged areas, he noted. Mediterranean Strategic Analysis and Intelligence Company head Mountacir Zian puts forward other factors to explain the phenomenon. “The northern region has been neglected, if not completely forgotten, since independence,” he said.

Headline: Berlin plays down Israeli call for Germany to lead Gaza mission
Headline: Returning jihadists pose a threat to Germany
Germany has reacted cautiously to Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman’s call for Berlin to lead an EU inspection mission to Gaza. Lieberman’s counterpart, Mr Steinmeier, said he could envision such a mission to Gaza but played down the idea of German “leadership” of it. “Together with our European partners we are ready to make a contribution, such as an EU mission to oversee border crossings,” he said. “At present we are holding intensive talks with all sides to create the conditions for such a solution.” Reinhold Robbe, former Bundestag military co-ordinator and now president of the German-Israeli Association, said such a mission would have to have a UN mandate. “I don’t know if customs officials with an ordinary police guard will be enough to get a hold of things,” he said. “I think one won’t be able to get around military safeguard for such a supervisory mission.” Mr Robbe said it was not clear whether ordinary Germans would support the idea of sending troops to Israel and Gaza, given the country’s Holocaust history. “I think we have an obligation and cannot just close our eyes,” he said. “In spite of – and even because of – our history we have a particular responsibility. Israel wants a long-term peace and Europe can play an important role.”

Headline: US hits IS artillery in Iraq, Turkey on alert
Turkish military sources speaking to Today’s Zaman on Friday said that there no military airplanes, either Turkish or American, had launched attacks inside Iraq from Turkey. He affirmed that the US airstrikes had not been conducted via Turkey’s İncirlik airbase. According to a US official, the military will use F-16 and F/A 18 fighter jets based in the region for strikes and cargo aircraft based in Kuwait for any additional humanitarian aid drops. In addition, USS George H.W. Bush — which carries F/A-18s — is stationed in the Persian Gulf and Apache helicopters are based in Baghdad.

Headline: Azerbaijan’s Army Says It Is ‘Ready To Fulfill Even The Order Of Destroying’ Armenia’s Capital City
Azerbaijan’s president has threatened war with Armenia via Twitter, after dozens were killed in clashes over a disputed area of land that both countries lay claim to. In a lengthy series of tweets, President Ilham Aliyev said several Azeri lives had been lost in clashes over Nagorno-Karabakh, and pledged to restore what he said was his country’s “territorial integrity”. The two sides began fighting over the mountainous region in the final years of the USSR. Armenian forces took de facto control of Nagorno-Karabakh. Writing in English on Twitter today, Aliyev countered: “As a result of attacks launched by Armenian occupying forces, our army suffered losses. Several servicemen have become martyrs.” Referring to Armenia as “the enemy” and “the occupiers,” Aliyev said the people of Azerbaijan were disappointed with a perceived lack of action by international mediators to bring the stand-off to an end. “We will restore our sovereignty. The flag of Azerbaijan will fly in all the occupied territories, including Shusha and Khankandi [in Nagorno-Karabakh],” he wrote. “Just as we have beaten the Armenians on the political and economic fronts, we are able to defeat them on the battlefield”.

Luke 21:9 and Matthew 24:7 speak of nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom in the end times. Revelation 6:3-4 speaks of the fiery red horse given power to make men slay one another and Revelation 6:8 speaks again of this red horse in conjunction with the pale horse of Death and Hades, as the one that has the power to kill by sword. Luke 21:9: wars & commotions; the Greek word here is Akatastasia, meaning instability, a state of disorder, disturbance, confusion (revolutions) Matthew 24:7: the Greek word for nation is Ethnos & refers to various ethnic groups fighting among themselves, where the next sentence in the verse refers to kingdoms (basileiva) fighting one another (not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authority to rule over a kingdom)
Headline: Argentina files lawsuit against US over debt dispute
Argentina has attempted to sue the United States at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, the UN’s highest court, over a debt dispute. The lawsuit was filed on Thursday after a US judge blocked Argentina from servicing its restructured debt, with Buenos Aires accusing Washington of violating Argentinean sovereignty. New York District Judge Thomas Griesa has ruled to freeze Argentina’s June debt payment of $539 million in a US bank because two American hedge funds are demanding a full repayment of their money. The two hedge funds, NML Capital and Aurelius Capital Management, have been described by Argentina as “vulture funds” that are seeking profit out of the country’s financial misery. “Given that a state is responsible for the conduct of all the branches of its government, these violations have generated a controversy between the Republic of Argentina and the United States, which our country submits to the ICJ for resolution,” President Cristina Kirchner’s office said in a statement. However, the ICJ declined to take any action, claiming that it is powerless to act “unless and until the United States of America consents to the court’s jurisdiction.”

The incident came amid another attack in Pakistan’s southwestern town of Chaman located near Pakistan-Afghanistan border, where 12 people were injured. Economic collapse Revelation 6:5-6 & Daniel 2:41-43- Decline of the Euro “ When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” (Revelation) “Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.” (Daniel 2:41-43)
Headline: Germany close to recession as ECB admits recovery is weak
German bonds yields plunged to a historic low and two-year rates briefly fell below zero on Thursday on fears of widening recession in the eurozone, and a flight to safety as Russian troops massed on the Ukrainian border. Yields on 10-year Bunds dropped to 1.06pc after a blizzard of fresh data showed that recovery has stalled across most of the currency bloc, with even Germany now uncomfortably close to recession. Commerzbank warned that the German economy may have contracted by 0.2pc in the second quarter and is far too weak to pull southern Europe out of the doldrums. Industrial output fell 1.5pc over the three months. The DAX index of equities in Frankfurt has dropped 10pc over the past month and is threatening to break through the psychological floor of 9,000. Mario Draghi, head of the European Central Bank (ECB), said the recovery remained “weak, fragile and uneven”, with a marked slowdown in recent weeks on escalating geopolitical worries over Russia and the Middle East.

Headline: Liberia, Sierra Leone Deploy Troops to Contain Ebola
Headline: Uganda tests first suspected Ebola case in East Africa
Liberia and Sierra Leone are reporting hundreds of confirmed or suspected cases of Ebola. Their public health systems are overrun. And now, both countries have declared states of emergency and sent security forces to quarantine affected areas. This week, security forces in Liberia and Sierra Leone set up roadblocks and took other measures to limit people’s movements, as part of the efforts to contain the spread of the deadly Ebola virus. In Liberia, they are calling it “Operation White Shield.” Information Minister Lewis Brown says checkpoints are already being established. “Unless it is absolutely necessary, individuals in all affected counties are strongly advised to remain in their counties and continue to take the necessary preventive measures announced by the health experts,” he added.

West Africa’s Ebola epidemic constitutes an international health emergency and the virus, which has killed nearly 1,000 people, could continue spreading for months, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday. “The outbreak is moving faster than we can control it,” the WHO’s director-general Margaret Chan told reporters on a telephone briefing from the WHO’s Geneva headquarters.

Headline: UPDATE ON PASTOR SAEED- Children of American Pastor Imprisoned in Iran Ask Obama to ‘Help Bring Daddy Home’
The children of an American pastor imprisoned in Iran have appeared in an online video plea to President Obama, asking that he ‘help bring [their] daddy home.’ As previously reported, Saeed Abedini, a former Muslim turned Christian, left Iran in 2005 and moved to the United States with his wife and children to find religious freedom. Last fall, he traveled back to Iran to build an orphanage and visit his parents—and was about to return to the states—when he was taken into custody. “Dear President Obama, please help bring my daddy home,” Rebekka and Jacob Abedini, the two young children of the American pastor, state in a video recently released by the Abedini family. “I miss him so much.” “Why does Daddy have to be in prison for loving Jesus?” Rebekka asks. In another clip, Jacob explains how his heart continually cries over the absence of his father.
