“Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! 2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. 4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
Listed below are the nations which will attack Israel from Ezekiel chapter 38 and their modern day names (see chart above).
Gog is the leader of the Russian invasion of Israel.

Headline: Analysis: Stage three of Operation Protective Edge looms
Following the entry of ground forces, next up in the IDF’s campaign in Gaza, if the military should launch it, will be the systematic destruction of Hamas’s military assets across the Strip. From the moment it was launched, Operation Protective Edge has been a gradual effort, designed to extinguish Palestinian mass rocket attacks through a carefully planned deterioration of Hamas’s strategic position. The first phase – intensive air strikes on rocket launchers, weapons-production centers and command-and-control centers – was followed by the second stage, the entry of ground forces and their highly complex and challenging task of destroying Hamas’s tunnel network. Should Israel launch its third phase, deterrence will become a secondary goal, and the IDF will be instructed to attack and destroy Hamas’s military assets all over Gaza.

Headline: Fresh West Bank clashes break out as Israel girds for ‘day of rage’
Headline: Israel’s US Ambassador Smashes Biased Coverage on CNN
Angry clashes erupted Friday in the West Bank, as Palestinian leaders called for a “day of rage” in response to the shelling of a United Nations shelter that killed 16 people. At least four Palestinians have been killed in outbreaks of violence in several parts of the West Bank, according to medical sources. The call for a massive follow-up to what were already some of the largest West Bank protests in years comes as diplomats scrambled to find a cease-fire proposal that would satisfy mortal enemies Israel and Hamas and end more than two weeks of violence that has claimed more than 800 lives, most of them civilians. Israeli police posted additional officers in Jerusalem ahead of Friday’s protests, spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said on Twitter. Police had deployed between 3,000 and 4,000 officers to prepare for expected violence, The Jerusalem Post newspaper reported.

Hamas’ spokesperson in Gaza spoke on Thursday night’s riots in East Jerusalem saying, “This is an important development. The West Bank is fighting. It’s important for these protests to expand and spread to the entire West Bank.” Hamas leaders, both in Gaza and abroad, have called for the start of the third intifada – or Palestinian uprising – after violent riots with live fire erupted throughout Jerusalem and the West Bank last night. Violence flared up as thousands of Palestinians took to the streets, rioting and protesting Israel’s actions in Gaza. Approximately 10,000 people marched from Ramallah to Jerusalem, where they clashed with Israeli police.

Headline: Heavy barrage fired at Israel on Friday night
Headline: Hamas says it fired three rockets at Israel airport
A heavy barrage was fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel on Friday night, with rocket alert sirens sounded in various cities and communities in central Israel, the Sharon plains, Samaria and southern Israel. The Iron Dome intercepted two rockets fired at Ashdod. Earlier, the Iron Dome intercepted one rocket fired at Ashkelon, while another landed in an open area. Three rockets hit outside communities in the Eshkol Regional Councils, one near Netivot and three in open areas in Sdot Negev. The Iron Dome also intercepted three rockets fired at Ashdod, while two hit open areas in Sha’ar HaNegev and Sdot Negev. In a massive rocket barrage fired at Israel in the afternoon, Iron Dome missile shot down at least five rockets over Ashkelon, Hof Ashkelon Regional Council and the Be’er Tuvia regional council; some six rockets exploded in open area. In two seperate attacks between 11:30am to noon, Hamas claimed responsibility for firing 5 rockets at Tel Aviv. It was confirmed that 2 of the rockets were shot down in the second of these attacks. Iron Dome also intercepted one rocket over the Sharon region while one fell in an open area. Meanwhile, Hamas said Friday it fired three rockets at Tel Aviv airport, a day after U.S. and some European airlines had resumed flights after a two-day suspension. “At 11:45 am, the Qassam Brigades bombarded Ben Gurion airport with three M75 rockets,” a statement from Hamas’ armed wing said. An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed rocket fire from Gaza, though she declined to specify how close it had come to Ben Gurion. “We can confirm two rockets were shot down over metropolitan Tel Aviv,” she told AFP.

Headline: Hamas Prepared Attack That Would Bring Israel to Its Knees, Israeli Defense Officials Say
Israel’s Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu revealed on Thursday that Hamas was intending to attack Israel from dozens of tunnels in a coordinated simultaneous attack. At the beginning of Thursday’s special cabinet meeting the prime minister said, “These tunnels enable the enemy to open a multi-pronged offensive and carry out a massive terror attack inside Israel.” According to security officials cited by Israeli news website NRG, the political echelon needs to give the military more time to eliminate the tunnels since “we are now not even halfway through.” The attack Hamas was planning, the officials say, “would have made Israel drop to its knees.” They added that even the tunnels destroyed until now takes away from Hamas a strategic asset the terror group has been working on for years. The IDF’s Southern Command assessment is also that more time is needed, and in fact it was on the Southern Command’s recommendation that the government on Wednesday decided to reject a proposal for a humanitarian ceasefire. Intelligence officials assessed that such a truce would allow Hamas time to reorganize and what Israel needed to do now is push the terror group with its back against the wall so the leaders there will ask themselves whether it was wise to continue the large-scale fighting they initiated.

Unresolved issues in the proposal involve whether Israeli military forces, now on the ground in Gaza, would retreat back to Israel during the truce.

Headline: Gaza officials accuse Israel of war crimes, filing complaint at the Hague
Top Palestinian officials have filed a complaint to the International Criminal Court, accusing Israel of war crimes in Gaza. Palestinian Justice Minister Saleem Al-Saqqa and Ismail Jabr, the Gaza court public prosecutor, started legal proceedings Friday via a Paris-based lawyer over the 18 days of fighting between Hamas and Israel that’s left 800 Palestinians and 35 Israelis dead. They accuse Israel of war crimes, including apartheid, attacks against civilians, excessive loss of human life and colonization. To process the complaint, the Hague-based court must first rule if it has jurisdiction in the Palestinian Authority. The territory isn’t a U.N. member but became an observer in 2012, a status the ICC chief prosecutor said was required for Palestinians to sign up to the court.

Israel on Thursday called out a United Nations aid agency for falsely claiming that the Israeli Defense Forces did not permit civilians to evacuate a Gaza school where 15 people were killed in an Israeli attack, reports the Washington Free Beacon. Multiple IDF sources rejected UNRWA’s claims and characterized them as outright falsehoods when reached by the Washington Free Beacon. “For two days we were trying to move people out of that school in particular and the Beit Hanoun area in general,” said an IDF official who was involved in the interactions between the IDF, UNRWA, and International Red Cross (ICRC) leading up to the incident. The official continued, “This morning we sought a ceasefire in the area and a humanitarian evacuation of civilians, but Hamas refused—because they wanted to keep civilians in the area to protect their fighters who were firing on the IDF.” The claim by Gunness and UNRWA that the IDF did not respond to their request to evacuate civilians, the source said, is “a flat-out complete and total lie,” the official told the Free Beacon.

Headline: Frustrated Pilots: Limits on Firing Endanger Our Comrades
Reports in Israeli media cite IAF pilots who bitterly complain that due to the strict limitations placed on their use of fire, they sometimes have to refrain from helping comrades facing terrorist fire on the ground. “Testimony that is reaching us from fighter pilots who provide close air assistance to the combat soldiers who are currently fighting in the field,” Channel 2‘s military correspondent Nir Dvori reported, “about growing frustration over the fact that they hear the forces below them on the ground asking for cover and close air support when they see the terrorists drawing near from short range, firing at them, and there is no approval, because of various limitations, so as not to hit innocent civilians, and out of concern not to hit uninvolved people, and for this reason they cannot always give covering fire, cannot always fire, and so the frustration is that to some extent, they are leaving the fighters on their own to fight on the ground…” Yaron Lerman, a Facebook user who posted video of Dvori’s statement, asked: “Does Israel, as a Jewish and democratic state, have the right to forcibly conscript its citizens and send them to their deaths so as not to hurt enemy civilians? Headline: Leading Rabbi: This War is God’s War, and Israel Will Win
Chairman of the Bnei Akiva Yeshivas and head of Yeshivat Or Etzion, Rabbi Haim Druckman, gave a special blessing to troops serving in Operation Protective Edge in an interview with Arutz Sheva on Friday. Rabbi Druckman referred to the concept of milchemet mitzvah, whereby certain wars are Torah-mandated for men to serve – such as to defend the Jewish people from attack. “Our soldiers are fighting God’s War,” he said. “This war determines out very existence in this country.” “This war is for real peace, as told about in Isaiah: ‘And your peers shall have swords … and no nation shall lift up a sword against your nation, which is not knowing another war.’,” he added. ”Israel does not strive for another war, for deaths; each Iron Dome cost a fortune – who needs it?” he continued. “But there is evil in the world and we must fight that evil.” Rabbi Druckman had no doubt who will win this war, as Operation Protective Edge enters its eighteenth day. “Our ancestors fought, Abraham fought, Moses fought,” he reassured. “Our aspirations are indeed that ‘the wolf will live with the lamb’ [citing the verse in Isaiah about the Messianic era – ed.] but if the sheep does not deal with the wolf, nothing will be left of the sheep.” “This is a holy war by all accounts, a war of salvation and for the existence of Israel in its homeland,” he said.

Headline: World must step in to stop Israeli assault on Gaza, relieve Palestinians- Abdullah’s meeting with Abbas
His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday reaffirmed Jordan’s stand with the Palestinian people, with all its capabilities, in facing the fallout of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to secure protection for the Palestinians and stop the Israeli assault. He warned against the consequences of continued Israeli unilateral measures, especially in the city of Jerusalem, where sustained acts of aggression have been directed at Al Aqsa Mosque and the surrounding areas. Abbas briefed King Abdullah on the latest developments in Gaza, voicing his appreciation for Jordan’s continued efforts to reach a ceasefire and for providing humanitarian assistance and medical care to the people in Gaza. In statements to the press following the meeting, Abbas said his meeting with the King was necessary, adding that contact between the two sides has been continuous during the recent conflict. Abbas said the two sides agree on the need for a ceasefire as a first step, to be followed by negotiations, and added that the Egyptian initiative is the one that should be adopted. On the possibility of a ceasefire, he said: “So far, there is hope for a ceasefire.” Also on Thursday, while chairing part of the Cabinet session convened to discuss the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the King reiterated that the Israeli aggression must stop as soon as possible, stressing Jordan’s rejection of Israel’s policy of collective punishment and targeting civilians. “We are working in coordination with our Arab brothers and the international community through the UN Security Council to stop the bloodshed and end the violence and any further escalation.” He stressed Jordan’s continuous support in providing all forms of humanitarian assistance to alleviate the suffering of “our people in Gaza”.

Headline: Bassil: ISIS, Israel have committed ‘war crimes’
Lebanese Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil Friday condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza, and ISIS’ against Iraq’s Christians, as “war crimes,” saying that the government has approved the ministry’s request to the ICC to launch probes into the recent events. For the first time in its diplomatic history, Lebanon sent requests to the International Criminal Court’s prosecutor to investigate crimes committed by Israel in its offensive on the Palestinian enclave and those committed by ISIS in Mosul, Bassil said, noting that the violations fall within the court’s jurisdiction. Bassil equated ISIS with Israel, saying both sides refrain from recognizing international law and that the Jewish state sought to “replace the Palestinian, Arab, Levant identity in the east — where diverse groups have lived together and recognized each other’s freedoms — with the Jewish identity of elimination.”

Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz ordered on Friday 100 million riyals ($26.6 million) in medical aid to the Gaza Strip, the Saudi Health Ministry said. Health Minister Adel Faqih said the aid would address the emergency needs of the growing number of injured civilians in the Israeli offensive, which has so far killed more than 800 Palestinians. The move came a week after the king ordered 200 million riyals ($53.3 million) in humanitarian aid. Headline: Gunmen kill Egypt security commander in Sinai
Gunmen shot dead two senior police and army officers on Friday in Egypt’s restive Sinai Peninsula where the military is battling an Islamist insurgency, security officials said. Militants have stepped up their attacks, mostly against security forces, since the army ousted Islamist president Mohammad Mursi last July and the government launched a deadly crackdown on his supporters. The assailants opened fire on the police and army brigadiers as they were driving home in the Sheikh Zuwaid region. Attacks by militants have killed almost 500 police and soldiers since Mursi’s overthrow, the government says. Last week, 22 soldiers were killed by gunmen at a checkpoint in Egypt’s western desert, in the deadliest single assault since Mursi’s ouster.

Russia has begun supplying military helicopters and fighters jets to Iraq, a report said Thursday, as Iraq’s defence minister visited Moscow to press for equipment to thwart a jihadist offensive. “A number of contracts with Iraq have entered into force and are being fulfilled,” the Interfax news agency quoted a source in Russia’s defence export establishment as saying. Deliveries of Mi-35 helicopter gunships and Su-25 fighters that provide close air support for ground troops have begun, added the source. Iraq also has contracts for Mi-28 attack helicopters and mobile Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air and anti-aircraft artillery systems. Russia’s ambassador to Baghdad, Ilya Mogunov, had previously said he believed up to 10 Sukhoi fighter jets would be delivered by the end of the summer.

The U.S. Department of State unveiled new intelligence Thursday that Russia plans to provide “heavier and more powerful, multiple rocket launchers to the separatist forces in Ukraine,” and that Russia is firing from across the border at Ukrainian military positions. Deputy spokesperson Marie Harf described the new information as adding to the “preponderance of evidence” that Russia is continuing to provide the separatists with advanced surface-to-air weaponry. On Wednesday, declassified intelligence analysis and imagery was made public regarding Russia’s role in providing the weaponry that shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 on July 17 over restive eastern Ukraine. On Thursday, Harf announced, “We have new evidence that the Russians intend to deliver heavier and more powerful, multiple rocket launchers to the separatist forces in Ukraine, and have evidence that Russia is firing artillery from within Russia to attack Ukrainian military positions.”

Headline: Ukrainian Troops Recapture Rebel Stronghold of Lysychansk
The Ukrainian government said Friday it regained control of the separatist stronghold of Lysychansk after several days of fierce fighting, a move it said would pave the way to take back a string of other important rebel-held positions. Kiev has reported steady progress in its fight against the separatists. But its efforts have been hampered by what it says is a flow of weapons and artillery fire from across the border that hasn’t stopped even after last week’s downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17—an allegation the U.S. backed on Thursday but that Russia has repeatedly denied. The Ukrainian military has made several key gains in the past week, taking back 10 towns and nearly surrounding the vital rebel-held cities of Luhansk and Donetsk, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense council said. On Friday, soldiers raised the country’s flag above Lysychansk after pushing out a powerful militia headed by a top rebel commander, it said. “The armed forces of Ukraine have been able to deal the rebels powerful blows on several fronts,” council spokesman Col. Andriy Lysenko said.

Headline: Iraq’s top cleric sends subtle message to Maliki – step aside
Iraq’s senior cleric on Friday urged political leaders to refrain from clinging to their posts – an apparent reference to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, who has defied demands that he step aside. Speaking through an aide who delivered a sermon after Friday prayers in the holy city of Kerbala, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani said leaders should show flexibility so that political deadlocks could be broken and Iraq could confront militants. Last month, Sunni militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant swept through northern and western Iraq, posing the biggest challenge to Maliki’s Shi’ite-led government since the departure of U.S. forces in 2011. Critics say Maliki is a divisive figure whose alienation of Sunnis has fueled sectarian hatred and played into the hands of the insurgents, who have threatened to march on Baghdad.

The House overwhelmingly passed a resolution Friday that would bar President Barack Obama from sending forces to Iraq in a “sustained combat role” without congressional approval, a bill likely to have greater symbolic than legal effect. The measure still must pass the Senate to force a showdown with the president. And it risks opening up several questions related to the Constitution’s separation of powers between executive and legislative branches, even if Obama and his top military advisers already have ruled out sending combat troops to help Iraq fight extremist insurgents.

Headline: Blasts targeting Shiites in Kirkuk kill four
A series of blasts outside Shiite prayer halls killed four people and wounded 19 others Friday in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, police and medical sources said. The deadliest blast took place in a car park outside the Mustafa prayer hall, or husseiniya, in the city’s southwest, where a car bomb killed four worshippers and wounded 15 others after they had finished prayers. Three roadside bombs near the Zahraa husseiniya in west Kirkuk wounded four people, while a roadside bomb near the Jaafar al-Sadeq husseiniya in the city’s south caused no casualties. Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) jihadists who overran swath of northern and western Iraq last month have not taken Kirkuk.

Headline: ISIS destroys Jonah’s Tomb in Iraq
A holy site believed to be the Tomb of Jonah in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul was destroyed by militants associated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Civil defense officials told CNN that the militants rigged the tomb with explosives before detonating it remotely on Thursday. A YouTube video has surfaced, purportedly showing the attack on Jonah’s Tomb, located inside a Sunni mosque called the Mosque of the Prophet Younis.

Headline: ISIS edict on female genital mutilation likely false
An edict attributed to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria mandating female genital mutilation in the northern Iraq city of Mosul is now believed to be a fake. The decree, which called for girls and women between the ages of 11 and 46 to undergo FGM, was issued via social media using a moniker no longer used by the militant group: the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) instead of ISIS. There is increasing speculation that the edict may have been posted to discredit ISIS. Jacqueline Badcock, United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq and U.N. Development Program Resident Representative, expressed outrage over the alleged edict. The practice of FGM would be “something very new for Iraq” she said, “and does need to be addressed.”

Headline: Pakistani Taliban’s Stance On ISIS In Their War Against The Sahwa Of Sham (Sahwa of Sham in English: the US-funded Iraqi security force of the Levant)
The call for a caliphate, which ISIS paves the way for, will not cease. When the infidels and the apostates realized what ISIS had paved for them, they attempted to stop ISIS with all their power, particularly with their evil scholars, who began to give their religious edicts against ISIS for the advantage of the Sahwa in order to increase people’s hate against ISIS. Despite the attempts of deception, Mujahideen from Yemen, Somalia, Egypt, Tunisia, and Palestine came to champion the cause of ISIS led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. A media representative of Tehrik-i-Taliban, was asked about their stance on ISIS. They answered “our stance on ISIS and the groups fighting the group is abundantly clear. We support those Mujahideen who fight for the sake of the survival of the caliphate. We do not support groups fighting with the support of the intelligence services, even if they are from our country”. Taliban militants in Afghanistan have warned ISIS insurgents fighting in Iraq to ‘avoid extremism’ in a plea for unity among jihadists.

Headline: Gunmen Execute 15 Minority Shia Muslims in Afghanistan
Headline: Afghan Taliban Leader condemned Israeli airstrikes that have killed hundreds of Palestinians
Gunmen in central Afghanistan executed 15 civilians belonging to the Shia Muslim minority, a rare sectarian attack in a country struggling with intense political violence. Shortly after 12 a.m. Friday, a group of armed men stopped three minibuses carrying civilians through Ghor province and ordered all 32 passengers to disembark, Afghan officials said. After checking their ID cards, the assailants separated the ethnic Hazaras from the group and executed them on the side of the road. “The Hazaras were killed and the rest were released,” said Anwar Rahmati, the governor of Ghor. “This is a crime against humanity and it’s horrific.” It is common for Afghans to travel overnight, especially during Ramadan. Hazaras, Afghanistan’s third-largest ethnic group, are overwhelmingly Shiite Muslim and have long faced discrimination in this Sunni-majority country. But—unlike in neighboring Pakistan—ethnic and religious divisions, while deep, have rarely turn violent in Afghanistan. Meanwhile , Mullah Omar also condemned Israeli airstrikes that have killed hundreds of Palestinians as Israel fights Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip. Hundreds of Afghan protesters took to the streets in Kabul on Friday to show solidarity with the Palestinians. They chanted slogans against Israel, the U.S. and the U.N., saying the world needs to do more to protect the innocent men and women of Gaza.

Headline: South Sudan rebels ‘withdraw from Nasir after battles’
Government forces in South Sudan have retaken the strategic town of Nasir in Upper Nile state attacked by rebels on Sunday, the UN says. It was the scene of the worst clashes since a ceasefire was agreed in May. UN peacekeepers say there was heavy gunfire in the town overnight and early in the morning. Further talks are due to start next week as attempts continue to end the conflict that broke out in December, leaving 1.5 million people homeless. What began as a political dispute between President Salva Kiir and his former deputy, Riek Machar, has escalated into ethnic violence.

Headline: New clashes between Libya militia at Tripoli airport
Fresh clashes broke out Friday between rival Libyan militias battling for control of Tripoli airport, the target of 13 days of shelling that have disrupted air links to the outside world. Columns of smoke billowed into the sky around the airport perimeter, while loud explosions were heard throughout the morning, an AFP correspondent reported. Libya’s main international airport has been shut since fighting erupted on July 13, a bout of violence that has killed at least 47 people and wounded 120, according to the health ministry. The clashes, the most violent since the overthrow of dictator Moamer Kadhafi in 2011, started with an assault on the airport by a coalition of groups, mainly Islamists, which has since been backed by fighters from third city Misrata.

Headline: Tunisia cuts Libya diplomatic presence amid unrest
With Tunisia reeling from the worst attack on its soldiers in more than 50 years, Algeria this week offered military equipment, troop reinforcements along the shared border and other counter-terrorism resources to its neighbour. But the biggest threat may lie elsewhere. A one-eyed Algerian former cigarette smuggler and al-Qaeda ally now running his terror fiefdom from Libya may have instigated the slaughter of Tunisian troops last Wednesday. In early July, reports emerged that Mokhtar Belmokhtar (aka Laaouar) met with the leader of the terrorist group hiding out in Jebel Chaambi. Laaouar gave new instructions to Uqba Ibn Nafi Brigade chief Khaled Chaieb (aka Abu Sakhr) to plan attacks and assassinations inside Tunisia, Algeria’s El Khabar reported, citing security sources. During iftar on July 16th, some 60 assailants opened fire with machine guns and rocket launchers on two army checkpoints. The al-Qaeda-affiliated brigade claimed responsibility for the attack, the deadliest for Tunisian military forces since 1961. The assailants came to Jebel Chaambi two months ago from Libya, bringing heavy weapons to Tunisia aboard 4×4 vehicles, Mosaique FM reported Sunday. Algeria also warned Tunisian authorities that a major operation to smuggle weapons from Libya was prepared two months ago, African Manager reported on Tuesday (July 22nd), citing Elbilad.

The United States may supply Tunisia with UH-60 helicopters and weaponry to help bolster the country’s security capabilities. The North African country of Tunisia is seeking to improve its security capabilities with help from the United States military. The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency said equipment and support sought by Tunisia is comprised of a dozen UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters in standard configuration but with unique and customized equipment. The helicopters would be acquired under a package Foreign Military Sales deal already approved by the U.S. State Department and worth about $700 million.

Headline: Quds Day protests divide Berlin
Two groups of protesters – one rallying against what they call the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem and the other looking to put an end to what they regard as an anti-Israeli march – will stand opposite each other and yell slogans across the police barrier in Berlin on Friday (25.07.2014). That is a likely scenario for the start of Quds Day, an annual event calling for protest of Israel’s occupation of Jerusalem. Berlin police announced their intention to strictly enforce restrictions among the protesters, including forbidding slogans that incite violence or the burning of flags or effigies. In past years, Qud Day was a peaceful rally. But since 2000, every year’s protest has seen clashes and aggression. Recently, however, demonstrations against Israel’s offensive in Gaza have included anti-Semitic slurs, and even attacks against Jews.

Headline: Turkish Prime Minister: Israel Has ‘Surpassed What Hitler Did To Them’
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ridiculed Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza, accusing the Israeli government of “barbarism that surpasses Hitler.” Speaking at a political re-election rally in the Turkish city of Ordu, Turkey’s prime minister said that Israel has “surpassed what Hitler did to them” and declared the country a “terrorist state.” “[Israelis] have no conscience, no honor, no pride. Those who condemn Hitler day and night have surpassed Hitler in barbarism,” said Erdoğan. He accused Israel of rejecting ceasefires that Hamas has proposed and “spitting death, spitting blood.” Erdogan reiterated his opposition to Israel’s operations in the Gaza Strip and said that the Israel Defense Forces have had a “disproportionate” effect and will end any positive relations between Israel and Turkey.

Headline: Turkey FM meets Hamas chief in Doha for Gaza talks
Turkey’s foreign minister on Friday met Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal in the Qatari capital Doha to help efforts to broker a ceasefire with Israel, a government official said. Ahmet Davutoglu met Meshaal in Doha for “negotiations aimed at a fair ceasefire,” the official told AFP on condition of anonymity. “The talks are proceeding in a positive direction.” The minister’s unscheduled meeting comes after telephone talks with his counterparts from the United States and Qatar on Thursday night. Turkey, a staunch critic of the Israeli assaults in Gaza, is pressing for involvement of Hamas in any negotiations for a ceasefire.

Economic collapse Revelation 6:5-6 & James 5:1-3– Worldwide “ When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” (Revelation) “Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.” (James)
Headline: IMF Reports Cuts Growth Forecast
The International Monetary Fund has trimmed its global economic growth projection for 2014, projecting a slower advance in the United States and a less optimistic outlook for several emerging markets. The Washington-based IMF cut its world forecast Thursday to a 3.4 percent advance this year, down three-tenths of a percentage point from its earlier projection. But with somewhat stronger growth expected in advanced economies in the coming months, the IMF maintained its 4 percent growth projection for 2015. In the update of its world economic outlook, the IMF said “downside risks” remain a worry for the world economy, including the possibility that geopolitical turmoil could lead to sharply higher oil prices. It said the global economic advance could be weaker for a longer period of time “given the lack of robust momentum” in advanced economies, even though policy-makers have been keeping interest rates for borrowers at very low levels for an extended period.

Headline: Deadly ‘superbug’ is spreading in US hospitals
Cases of the contagious and deadly “superbug” known as CRE increased five-fold in community hospitals from 2008 to 2012 in the Southeastern U.S., according to a new study. And while the actual number of patients discovered was low—305—the worry is that CRE infections are under-reported and threaten health care facilities nationwide, said one of the report’s authors. CRE is an antibiotic-resistant bacterium that usually strikes people in hospitals, nursing homes and other health centers. “This is a wakeup call for hospitals on how to detect the disease,” said Dr. Joshua Thaden, one of the leading authors for the study published in the August issue of the medical journal, Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology. “And the reason this is very serious is because of the high mortality rate (50 percent) of CRE,” Thaden explained. “The fact that we’re seeing an increase is concerning.”

Headline: West Africa Ebola death toll reaches 660: WHO
The death toll in West Africa’s Ebola outbreak has risen to 660, with the number of cases surpassing 1,000, the World Health Organization said Friday. WHO spokesman Paul Garwood said that the extent of what is the deadliest outbreak of Ebola on record was still emerging. “This is a trend, an overall picture. It’s hard to get an exact picture on the scale of the situation at the moment,” he told reporters. The UN health agency said 28 news deaths were recorded between July 18 and July 20. Thirteen were in Sierra Leone, 11 in Liberia and four in Guinea, which had previously borne the brunt. Forty-five new cases were recorded over the same period, in West Africa’s first-ever Ebola outbreak. That lifted the total number of laboratory-confirmed, probable or suspected cases of Ebola in the region to 1,093.

Headline: Drought drains critical US water supply
A huge volume of fresh water has disappeared from the drought-struck south west of the US in the past decade in what researchers say is a startling sign of the fragility of one of the country’s most important water supplies. Almost 65 cubic kilometres of water has been lost since late 2004 from the Colorado River Basin, an area roughly the size of France that is a vital but heavily used source of water for more than 30m people and 4m acres of farmland. The amount lost was nearly double the volume of the Colorado River’s Lake Mead, the largest man-made reservoir in the US, according to a study by scientists using data from Nasa satellites that can measure changes in water levels. “This is a lot of water to lose. We thought that the picture could be pretty bad, but this was shocking,” said the study’s lead author, Stephanie Castle, a water resources specialist at the University of California, Irvine. More than 75 per cent of the loss was due to the rapid depletion of groundwater from underground aquifers that many farmers depend on for irrigation, especially during droughts like the one that has afflicted parts of the south west for the last 14 years.

Headline: River In China Mysteriously Turns Bloody Red Overnight
A waterway in eastern China has mysteriously turned a blood red color. Residents in Zhejiang province said the river looked normal at 5 a.m. Beijing time on Thursday morning. Within an hour, the entire river turned crimson. Residents also said a strange smell wafted through the air. “The really weird thing is that we have been able to catch fish because the water is normally so clear,” one local villager commented on China’s microblogging site Weibo. Inspectors from the Wenzhou Environmental Protection Bureau said they have not found the cause of the incident, although water samples seem to indicate the suspicious color was a result of illegal dumping in the river. “We suspect that somebody dumped artificial coloring in the water because he thought the typhoon yesterday would cause heavy rain, and nobody would notice [the color],” Jianfeng Xiao, Chief of the bureau told China News.
