Prophecy Sign: “Britons to pay more for a loaf of bread as wheat prices jump”. After reading this headline someone who doesn’t know Bible prophecy would be asking, “what does this news have to do with prophecy?  First read the report and then I will connect the dots for you.

“Britons face paying more for a loaf of bread after wheat prices leapt due to a scorching July in Russia and calamitous flooding in Pakistan.” “The price of wheat has rocketed, thanks in part to the hot weather in Russia and floods in Pakistan. Wheat futures jumped to a 22-month high on Monday, hitting $7.11 (£4.47) a bushel on the Chicago Board of Trade. At 1pm New York-time wheat was trading at $6.92. A severe drought destroyed one-fifth of the wheat crop in Russia, one of the world's largest exporters, and now wildfires are sweeping in to finish off some of the fields that remained after the hottest July for 130 years.”

First of all, Jesus showed us in the last days we would see the droughts, famine, intense heat, huge storms, and the price of food skyrocketing.  Intense heat Revelation 16: 8-9 “The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.” Rev. 7:15-17 “Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes”

In these warnings from Christ we see the lack of drinking water, the intense heat, the droughts, and the hunger. Now read Revelation 6:6. “Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"   What are we witnessing today?  We are seeing the droughts, the intense heat, the fresh water supply shrinking, and we are of course seeing the wheat prices and food prices skyrocketing.  Are you going to tell me these are nothing but coincidences?  Maybe if these were the only signs we are witnessing but that is not the case.  Everything Jesus told us to watch for is taking place now, and we are the only generation who has ever seen all these signs all at the same time.  Since the weather is killing off the crops you can expect the prices to increase. Here is another  look at this report. “Inflation expectations are high," said Evgeny Gavrilenkov and Anton Stroutchenevski, economists at Troika Dialog in Moscow. The Russian Grain Union said on Monday that it expects exports to decline to 15m tons, down from 21.4m tons in 2009. Although grain prices are rising on world markets, with further gains on Monday, they are growing even faster in Russia, so many farmers have little incentive to export and are holding on to their harvested grain in the hopes of still higher profits. “

Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  Part of this verse shows us that people from their own nations will be fighting against themselves.  Most of what we see in the news concerning this type of fighting stems from either political or religious differences as in the last recently in Pakistan.

KARACHI, Pakistan — Gunmen went on killing sprees in Pakistan's largest city after the assassination of a lawmaker, killing at least 37 people by Tuesday. Dozens of vehicles and shops were set on fire as security forces struggled to gain control as Karachi seethed. The southern city of more than 16 million has a history of political, ethnic and religious violence, and has long been a hide-out for al-Qaida and Taliban militants. Its stability is considered paramount for Pakistan, because it is the country's main commercial hub. The latest unrest came after Raza Haider, a provincial lawmaker, was shot dead along with his bodyguard in a mosque in Karachi's Nazimabad area while preparing to offer prayers Monday. Haider was a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, the political party that runs the city and represents mainly descendants of migrants from India who settled in Pakistan when it was created in 1947.

Here is news like this which hopefully will get you to think about Christ’s warning in Luke 21:9. “"When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately."

“A Taliban suicide squad armed with bombs and rockets attacked the largest US military base in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday, sparking an hour-long gun battle, officials said. One foreign soldier and two civilians were wounded in an initial rocket attack on Kandahar airfield.”

  Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Anyone reading the news can see what is coming down the horizon as Americans begin to face off against Americans. One of the biggest problems facing the USA is the millions of illegal aligns. Americans living on the boarder with Mexico don’t feel safe any longer as the crime rate continues to grow from the drug cartels coming across the boarder and who is left to protect the US citizens? According to Sheriff Paul Babeu its not the US government.

“Pinal County (Ariz.) Sheriff Paul Babeu is hopping mad at the federal government. Babeu told CNSNews.com that rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel. “What’s very troubling is the fact that at a time when we in law enforcement and our state need help from the federal government, instead of sending help they put up billboard-size signs warning our citizens to stay out of the desert in my county because of dangerous drug and human smuggling and weapons and bandits and all these other things and then, behind that, they drag us into court with the ACLU,” Babeu said.” “If the president would do his job and secure the border; send 3,000 armed soldiers to the Arizona border and stop the illegal immigration and the drug smuggling and the violence, we wouldn’t even be in this position and where we’re forced to take matters into our own hands,” Babeu said. Dever said the federal government’s failure to secure the border and its current thwarting of Arizona’s effort to control illegal immigration within its borders has implications for the entire country.”

Putting aside what side of the issue you are on look at what it is doing to America. If you have eyes you can see that tensions are mounting in the US and now we are witnessing one law agency coming against another while the people living on the boarder  are trying to figure out how they can protect themselves.  Why does any nation have laws? Isn’t it to protect their citizens?  Why then does the US Government not stand firm on the laws that are on the books and stop people who are breaking the law?  This is the question millions of legal Americans are asking the Obama Administration. Instead of arresting those who are clearly breaking the law on purpose, the US Government is taking steps against their own law officials.  When the US Government won’t protect its own people, and individual  States have to begin to do it themselves, you not only set the stage for law more law suits, but you set the stage from more violence.  If you can’t see it, this is what is coming.  As people see the US Government has taken sides to protect the illegal's rather than to up hold the law of the land, more Americans will come against their own government in order to protect themselves.  As more Americans take up arms to stop people crossing over into the US one of two things will most likely have to happen. Either the US Government will back away from the States enforcing the law on their own, or President Obama will send in US troops to counter the local law agencies who are trying to arrest those who have come into the US illegally.  Jesus warned in the last days their would be civil unrest, and I can see how this illegal immigration problem can cause civil unrest to grow in America.

One of the facts brought out in this report is “that 17 percent of those detained already have a criminal record in the United States.”  Drugs are a major problem in Mexico so much so that more people were killed in Mexico last year than died in the Iraqi war and the people running these drug cartels are now sending people into the US to peddle their drugs.  Let step back for a second and look at what Jesus warned. In Revelation 9:21 He warned us that this generation would be known for its drugs.  Mexico is one of the main problems but it is now a world problem.  The drug rings bring on violence in ways we have not seen such as cutting peoples heads off, setting people on fire, and cutting off peoples arms and legs while their families watch in horror. Christ also warned, "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold” Matthew 24:12. We see this happening all around us and as the gangs press closer to the US States you will see of this.

Can we expect the White House to protect our law enforcement official, while they are spending time trying to bring them to court?  Take a look at this news.

“Mexican Drug Cartel Allegedly Puts a Price on Arizona Sheriff's Head”

“PHOENIX – He's been at the center of the discussions and controversies surrounding illegal immigration enforcement in Arizona for quite a while. On the day parts of Arizona's immigration law, SB 1070, went into effect, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is in the news for another reason: there's a price on his head – allegedly offered by a Mexican drug cartel. The audio message in Spanish is a bit garbled, but the text is clear. It's offering $1 million for Sheriff Joe Arpaio's head and $10,000 for anyone who wants to join the Mexican cartel. A man who wants to remain anonymous says his wife received the text message Tuesday evening. It also included an international phone number and instructions to pass the message along. "She showed it to me..I was kind of disgusted..I reported it to the Sheriff's department yesterday..they said they were going to direct the threat squad on it."

The drug cartels are using weapons that you normally find soldiers using during wars, these criminals are tossing grenades at police.  “Police and soldiers stepped up patrols and set up extra checkpoints after the attack in the popular beach town north of Acapulco, according to the Guerrero state Public Safety Department. Three taxi drivers, a woman and a policeman were hurt. Grenade attacks have become a fixture in Mexico's brutal cartel-related violence. Last week, five civilians and an officer were wounded in a grenade assault on a police patrol in western Michoacan state. In central Mexico, gunmen wielding AK-47s opened fire on two restaurants Saturday, killing two people. The first attack occurred in the town of Acelia and the second in at a highway eatery south of Mexico City.Police were trying to determine the motive and whether the two attacks were related. Gang violence is surging in Mexico despite the deployment of 45,000 soldiers across the country to root out drug cartels. Beheadings, attacks on police and shootings in clubs and restaurants are a daily occurrence in some regions.”  The traits we see coming from the Mexican drug gangs are exactly what Jesus told Timothy. 1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God” (2Timothy 3:1-4).

Those who want to see America gone don’t have to attack America, America is falling apart from the inside out. While gang and drug activity is on the increase police departments around the US are scaling down as the budget deficit is crippling the American economy. Here is a good example of what I am talking about.

“The Rev. Joseph Tracy said he’s tired of going to funerals. And now, he suspects he’ll be going to more of them."It’s open field day now," said Tracy, the pastor of Straightway Baptist Church here. "The criminals are going to run wild."  Gang activity. Drug dealing. Cold-blooded killing. Tracy worries that a decision to shrink the police force by almost 30 percent will bring more of everything. The pastor voiced his concern on Friday at a raucous special City Council meeting at which East St. Louis Mayor Alvin Parks announced that the city will layoff 37 employees, including 19 of its 62 police officers, 11 firefighters, four public works employees, and three administrators. The layoffs take effect on Sunday.”

Think about this for a moment. Since the drugs and the violence that follow the drugs is on the increase and more police are being taken off the streets how can a nation combat against these problmes?  One option is to make drug use legal and put its control in the hands of the government.  This would we can presume, take it out of the hands of the drug Lords and make a huge dent in their illegal companies that are spreading worldwide.  We are already seeing many of the US States making attempts at legalizing some drugs.  California for example is voting on this issue this November.  The second thing that can be done is to get rid of cash once and for all, and go solely with plastic money.  This would  also put a huge dent in helping to kill off the drug Lords and their gangs. 

Both of these ideas may seem good but all it would do is help fulfill prophecy.  Making drugs legal would help speed up Revelation 9:21 and taking the cash away would only help speed up a cashless society that would end up leading to the fulfillment of Revelation 13:16-17 where the Antichrist will be marking everyone in their right hand or forehand.  It really doesn’t matter how you look at the total picture, because everything we are witnessing is fulfilling Bible prophecy. 

I hope you can see how America is falling apart at the seems.  Politicians are grabbing at anything to bring in money to their states and that includes legal gambling. California which is voting on making dope legal is also working on gambling.

“The state of California continues to struggle with debt ($19 billion and counting), has slashed many state jobs, furloughed many of the others, and has no budget in place because the Republicans and Democrats in the legislature can't agree on what's best.  You have to wonder if they could agree on the color of orange juice.”  “So how about gambling? It's big business and it just might be legalized in California. That's if State Sen. Roderick Wright has his way. He supports a lawsuit that's been filed in New Jersey challenging federal law that only allows gambling in a few states.  Like Nevada. According to Whittier Law School professor I. Nelson Rose, legal sports betting could bring California about $1 billion annually.  That's a big number (see first paragraph). Wright's committee has a bill on hold that would legalize Internet poker.  Would doing so help open the door for sports gambling and the estimated 10,000 jobs it might create?”  If you can’t see what is happening you must really be blinded by Satan.  All of these laws will do is help bring down an already increasing immoral society.

Prophecy Sign: Luke 21:25 Christ told us to watch for the roaring of the seas and waves. Many of you are new to my site and you need to understand what moves

“3 Million Affected by Pakistan's Worst Flooding in Decades”

The United Nations says the worst floods to hit Pakistan in 80 years have impacted 3.2 million people, amid warnings of new flooding and further devastation. The U.N. Children's Fund says more than a million children are in need of emergency assistance.  The floods, triggered by heavy monsoon rains, have killed at least 1,400 people, the majority in the country's northwest.”

When you watch the videos below keep in mind these words spoken by Jesus Christ in the second part of Luke 21:25 “and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.”  Huge storms have already caused much distress with perplexity in many nations. Pakistan is only the latest to be hit by these storms but more are coming and more nations are going to witness the words of Christ come to pass.  The storms you are now seeing are only the things to come, we should expect bigger storms and they should become more frequent at these signs are coming as a woman with birth pains. Read Mark 13:8 “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth-pains.

Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:6 the Lord Jesus tells us we are going to hear of wars and rumors of war. Once again, here is a good example of that.

“North Korea has threatened "strong physical retaliation" against planned South Korean naval exercises near the disputed maritime border. In a statement, the North's military said that the Yellow Sea exercises, which are due to start on Thursday, were an act of reckless provocation. It warned all civilian shipping to avoid the area.” Today’s rumors about a war isn’t the first. “Last month, the North threatened nuclear retaliation over the joint US-South Korea naval exercises, but these passed without incident.”  Add this prophecy with all the rest Jesus asks you to watch for and you get a real clear picture that we are almost at the beginning of the seven year tribulation.

Prophecy Sign: We know for sure that while Israel is calling for Peace and safety that is the time that she will be attacked. Read 1Thessalonians 5:3. “While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.”

PA prime minister: Unilateral declaration of statehood a pipedream.

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has ruled out any unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood.  “There is not going to be a unilateral declaration of statehood,” Fayyad told The Media Line during a private meeting in his office. “What’s the point? We did that in 1988, and what did it get us?”

“The statement was a public rejection of increasing calls from minority Palestinian factions to recalibrate the Palestinian struggle away from a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and towards a shared, bi-national, secular and democratic state. “The Palestinians have used this as a sort of whip to say if we do not move ahead towards the two-state solution, then we will move ahead towards a one-state solution and everything will be lost for Israel by sheer force of democracy,” Dr. Shmuel Bar, Director of Studies at the Institute of Policy and Strategy at IDC Herzliya told The Media Line. “The narrative of ‘Palestine from the river to the sea’ has always been popular among Palestinians, so when you have a public opinion poll as to whether they would prefer a one-state solution or a two-state solution, you will see a lot prefer a one-state solution. But it’s just part of the old vision of liberating all of Palestine and doesn’t have an effect on actual political decision-making.”

The goal of the Palestinian leaders has always been to reclaim East Jerusalem and to see the Jewish State driven into the sea.  Salam Fayyad is smart.  Why ask for a two state solution that would only split up the Israeli nation when Fayyad can take his time and slowly get rid of the nation by the numbers.

The population of Palestinians living in Israel, the Occupied Gaza Strip, Occupied East Jerusalem and rest of the Occupied West Bank combined now exceeds the number of Israeli Jews, a U.S. government report has revealed. The Palestinian population stands at over 5.3 million while the Jewish population stands at 5.2 million. The figures come from the U.S. State Department's annual Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2004. The report provided population figures for each of these territorial units separately but failed to connect all the dots to arrive at the explosive new demographic reality that an Israeli Jewish minority now rules over a larger number of Palestinians living between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.

Let break this down for you in case you are getting the picture.  If the PLO joins the peace process and tells Israel we will become part of Israel and recognize Israel as a State, many of the Israeli’s leaders may take up Fayyad’s offer.  Once Israel incorporates the PLO, the PLO can begin to vote themselves into office by their shear numbers of Palestinians then, little by little they can work their way though the government like a slow breeding cancer until they control everything. I believe this is the thought process of Fayyad, what other reason would he have to drop his bid or a two state solution?  If you want to get rid of someone you first get as close to them as you can, then move silently like a frog in a pan of warm water that is getting hotter and hotter until its to let.

You can take President Obama lead on this.  Many believe Obama will not enforce the illegal immigration laws because he knows he is going to need there vote to win the coming elections. Don’t you think it is on Obama’s mind to pass a law giving all undocumented people amnesty.  Don’t you think that you would have 7 million illegal's vote for Obama?  Once these illegal's are made citizens who do you think they will vote for in the coming elections?  They will vote for  Obama and people from Mexico. Little by little laws could now be passed helping more people to enter the nation illegally.  Keep in mind, who ever controls the vote controls power.  If Obama isn’t going to enforce the law now what do you think he is going to do when millions of illegal's are made citizens? 

Now let me get back to the peace and safety issue between the PLO and Israel.  Personally I don’t think Israel will go for either the two state deal or one state solution.  I think that the peace process will continue until it completely falls apart and the PLO has no option but to attack Israel to try and retake East Jerusalem again, and this is where the sudden destruction comes into play that Paul warned us about in the second part of 1Thess. 5:3.

Prophecy Sign: 2nd Timothy 3: 1-4.  I know you read this before but you will see why I am revisiting this here again. Take another look what Jesus told Timothy. 1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God” (2Timothy 3:1-4).

I am sure most of you who read this will see that the people Jesus has warned about can be seen in this next report. “Assailants poisoned and beheaded six private security guards at an Afghan bank Tuesday, a brutal robbery in which $269,000 was stolen from the bank, according to police. The theft came as, insurgents launched a ground attack on NATO's largest base in the south Tuesday, but did not breach its defenses, officials said” and you wonder why people’s hearts are waxing cold?

 Prophecy Sign: The Psalm 83 war.  Whenever I give you signs of the Psalm 83 war I usually warn you, you will see more tensions mounting between Israel and its neighbors.  These tensions will get much worse until they finally deliver the fulfillment of what was spoken by the Lord in that Psalm. Here is the most recent news in a report entitled, “IDF, Lebanese forces exchange fire on northern border” “Lebanese President calls on country to "stand up to Israel's violation;" reports say IDF soldiers attempted to uproot tree on Lebanon side of border, 2 Lebanese wounded. Israeli and Lebanese forces clashed along the northern border Tuesday. Lebanese reports said the conflict began when an IDF patrol attempted to uproot a tree on the Lebanese side of the border. Israeli artillery fired on Lebanese positions, and two Lebanese soldiers were reported wounded in the incident. Initial Israeli reports had said the soldiers were on a routine patrol, operating past the border fence, but within Israeli territory, since the fence does not always exactly parallel the border.”  There are so many prophecy signs in the news, and so many who aren’t even aware that they are there. If you are in a Church where the Pastor is not informing you of these things, ask him why he isn’t keeping you on the watch?

Speaking of the Psalm 83 war the article you are about to read just about points to this war for you. Keep in mind as you read this next report that the nations in the report are the same ones God warned about in the Psalm 83 war. 

“BEIRUT: The Israeli Security Cabinetdiscussed Monday the prospects of an upcoming war on the Lebanese, Syrian and Gaza fronts in anticipation of tensions on the Lebanese domestic scene, Israeli media reported. The Israeli reports said an impending indictment by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) against Hizbullah members in former Lebanese Premier Rafik Hariri’s murder could push the group to take action that would instigate strife in Lebanon, forcing Israel to react to protect its interests. Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has condemned the STL as an Israeli project and a plot aimed against Lebanon and the resistance. He also warned that his party would not accept an indictment against any Hizbullah members. While Hizbullah officials stressed on Monday the strength of the strategic alliance between Damascus, Iran and resistance movement, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem said the UN-backed tribunal has “political goals.”

  Prophecy Sign: When you read the reports that I have given you links to you will see that the Westen leg of the old Roman Empire is in fact moving forward to incorporating  religion with the government. Why is this important? It is important because when you read what Jesus showed John in Revelation 17:12 you see the last world empire hooking up with a false Church that will ride with the Antichrist for a least three and a half years before he turns on that so called Church as well.  This false Church will have much influence at the beginning of the seven year tribulation but will as I said, be crushed by the man of sin when he forces everyone to take his mark in their right hand or forehead.  A clause in the Lisbon Treaty calling for a religious influence in the operation of the European Union is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.  After reading the news from the links below you may want to read my post on the interfaith world Church the link to this information is in blue.

Prophecy Sign: “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.”

“LIMA, Peru — Peru's health minister says an outbreak of plague has killed a 14-year-old boy and infected at least 31 people in a northern coastal province. In one day look at all the news pointing to the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I am warning you to get ready to meet Christ because all these signs are showing us our time is short.  Soon there will be two groups of people.  The first will be taken away to safety with the Lord at the rapture because they believed the word of God and His signs for these last days.  The other group will be left behind to deal with the Antichrist and the seven year tribulation.  If you are left behind it is because you have become just like those people who lived during the time of Noah.  These people also didn’t believe the Lord’s warnings and they all were swept away in there unbelief.  What group are you in?

Two Strong Earthquakes Hit Iran, Injuring Hundreds

“Two strong earthquakes shook different parts of Iran in less than 24 hours, injuring more than 200 people and damaging hundreds of homes, Iranian media reported Saturday. The first quake, which had a magnitude of 5.7, struck villages and towns in the northeast on Friday evening, injuring more than 200 people, said Mojtaba Sadeqian, governor of the town hardest hit, Torbat-e Heydariyeh. Two of the injured were in critical condition, the official IRNA news agency quoted him as saying. Late Saturday morning, a magnitude 5.8 earthquake rattled the Negar region, 670 miles south of the capital, Tehran. There were no reports of casualties, but state television said there was extensive damage, most of it to buildings made of mud and brick.”

Prophecy Sign: In part of Matthew 24:7 Jesus tells us to watch for many earthquakes in the last days.  Since I have given up an up-date on earthquakes for this week let’s take a look at what has happened in the past five days.

 Prophecy Sign: Luke 21:25 “"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.  In my post yesterday I covered the flooding in China.  Today I want you to take a look at what is happening in Pakistan.

“The BBC's Aleem Maqbool says whole villages have been washed away”. “Over 300 people have been killed in floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains in northern Pakistan, officials say. The Edhi Foundation – a privately run aid agency – says that 291 people have died in the last three days in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. Officials in Pakistani-administered Kashmir say that 22 people have been killed over the same time period. Weather officials say that Peshawar, capital of KP, received 302mm (12in) of rain in the last three days. "They say that is the largest amount of rainfall in the city for several decades. The rest of the province received between 250mm and 300mm rain over the same time period. Provincial information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that nearly 400,000 people have been displaced in two days”  Records for amounts of rain and huge storms keep being broken, not just in Pakistan but in many places around the world.  If you have been a regular reader at my post you would have noticed this type of news because I keep pointing it out.  Once again these are the birth pains Jesus warned about in Mark 13:8.  Not only that but, take a look at Daniel 12:4. In part of that verse we see people in the last days will be going to and fro.  As you can see from the storms in China and now in Pakistani people are being forced to flee from there homes. As you watch the news you will see these people begin to return homes once the rains stop and the flood levels drop.  This is in part the traveling back and forth as seen by Daniel.

Spring floods around the globe

Spring floodwaters are wreaking havoc in many locations around the world this month. The most disasterous flooding came on Wednesday in France when flash floods hit the back hills of the French Riviera and turned streets into rivers of surging, muddy water. The death toll from the flooding has risen to 25. In Myanmar and Bangladesh, floods and landslides triggered by incessant monsoon rains have killed more than 100 people, officials said Thursday. In the United States, flooding in Texas, Nebraska and Wyoming has caused massive damage to farms and homes. (25 images)

Here we go again, more of the same. The headline in one of the reports today reported from Israel reads as follows: “Grad missile lands in Ashkelon”. “A Grad missile launched from the Gaza Strip landed in a central, residential area in the southern city of Ashkelon Friday morning. Magen David Adom crews treated two people for shock. The missile shattered numerous windows of the surrounding, multi-story buildings and vehicles in the area. Ashkelon Mayor Benny Vaknin who arrived at the scene, said that the missile landed in the heart of a residential neighborhood and that Ashkelon citizens are unfortunately accustomed to such situations. “Vak Police urged residents to remain indoors for fear of additional rockets or missiles. In a closed meeting Friday morning, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced that Israel views the Grad missile attack in Ashkelon with harsh severity. The Aza Din al-Kassem Gazan terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.”

Now what?  What does Israel usually do when they are attacked?  They respond, and I am sure it will be the same with this recent rocket and mortars that just fell on a community that is filled with schools and day cares. Here is another section of that report.

“I do not see how it will be possible for us to begin the school year with schools and day-cares left unprotected when a heavy cloud of lethal rocket and missile fire hovers above us," Vaknin said.”  I now ask you, where are the world’s outcry over this rocket attack and a “second set of mortars” that were reported after the rocket fell on Ashkelon?  If out of the blue Israel were to shell the PLO in the Gaza you would see just about every news agency reporting on how brutal Israel is toward these peaceful people.

“By early afternoon, Israeli officials told Yedioth that a complaint over the projectiles would be submitted to the UN. Quoting Foreign Ministry spokesman Yossi Levy, the news site said "Israel will stress in its complaint that the firing of a Grad missile on a large city like Ashkelon – with the clear goal of murdering men, women and children as they prepare for Shabbat – is a blatant violation of international law and points to the murderous, barbaric and violent nature of those behind it."

In case you don’t know what a Shabbat is, Shabbat is the Jewish name for Sabbath, and is observed weekly. It begins at sundown on Friday and ends at sundown on Saturday. It is inexorably tied to the “seventh day” in the Torah where God rested after creating the earth. Observance of Shabbat is observance of that day of rest, among other things.

Every time I read news like this it reminds me of what the Apostle Paul warned us in 1 Thessalonians 5:3 where he warns us “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”  How does the leadership of the PLO think Israel will sit down with them when they are trying to kill Israeli’s?  Every attack against the Jews has a reaction against the PLO, and this attack just elevated the Middle East tensions even higher.  Everyone should get ready to see the second part of Paul’s warning come to pass.  The sudden destruction won’t come from one or two rockets.  These types of attacks will soon cause a flow blown war with Israel and when they happens you will see the fulfillment of Psalm 83 come to pass.

For the past year the news has been inundated with reports telling the world how deprived the PLO are in the Gaza, we were lead to believe Israel is causing great sufferings for the Palestinians, but finally the truth is exposed. I quote, “With Hamas telling tales of deprivation and suffering in Gaza, Egyptian journalist Ashraf Abu al-Houl has added his report to others who were surprised to discover a “prosperous” Gaza in which prices are low and luxury businesses are booming. Al-Houl's story of his trip to Gaza and his realization that “in actual terms, Gaza is not under siege” was written up in the Egyptian daily Al-Ahram and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).”  “Concerned that his initial impression of prosperity may have been misleading, “I toured the new resorts, most of which are quite grand, as well as the commercial markets, to verify my hypothesis. The resorts and markets have come to symbolize prosperity, and to prove that the siege is formal or political, not economic,” Al-Houl said.” I thank the Lord that finally someone was brave enough to report the truth about the PLO living conditions in the Gaza.

The truth about who is surpressing the people is also found in Al-Houl’s report and I quote, “The evident prosperity is not enjoyed by all, or even most, of Gaza's residents, according to Al-Houl. The problem is the vast differences in the distribution of wealth. The luxury resorts and wide range of consumer goods are enjoyed by “only a few groups,” he said, primarily those who own smuggling tunnels to Egypt and those who work for international organizations such as the United Nations' UNRWA and who do not include or aid the rest of the population. Most of the new resorts “are owned by members, or associates, of Hamas,” he reported. “In addition, the Hamas municipalities charge high fees, in Gaza terms, for the use of public beaches,” he added.”  The problem isn’t with Israel it’s with the PLO’s  won people who are greedy and filled with hate for Israel.

The news that the PLO and Hamas wants the world to know is the news that will fit their agenda.  Their goal is not to seek a real peace deal with Israel, but to use every means possible to retake Jerusalem.  This is the real reason why they will not stop sending over rockets, and they won’t still down for direct talks unless Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu says he will give them East Jerusalem as a PLO Capital.

I want you to read a stament that was issued by Yeman’s President in 2006. This statement is important because it is really focusing on what is happening between the PLO and Israel right now.

I quote, “Moreover, Yemen’s President Ali Abdallah Saleh speaking on Al-Jazeera TV Tuesday, August 1, 2006 expressed the hope, …that all the countries bordering with Israel, not just Syria, would enter the war…We will not enter the war officially, but we will open the borders to the fighters. We will allow the transfer of money and equipment, to support the Lebanese resistance and the Palestinian resistance in Gaza. In accord with the principles of jihad, President Saleh further stated,This war has become a duty incumbent upon us. Every Muslim has the individual duty to fight on this front… I believe this is a battle for the Islamic nation, not the Arab nation. ” By his own words he is stating what God warns us in Psalm 83.  This again is the real reason why rockets, and mortars keep dropping down on the Jewish State. 

If you know Bible prophecy you know that war is coming because of Jerusalem.  This is what the Prophet Zechariah warns us and this is what we are see developing today. The agenda of the 57 Islamic countries is to someday invade Israel and wipe her out once and for all. They are planning to retake Jerusalem from the Jewish people.  This massive invasion is coming and you can see all the details to this war if you read chapters 38 and 39 of the book of Ezekiel. However, before the Ezekiel war takes place the nations boarding Israel will first fulfill the war found in Psalm 83.

It appears the Birds of pray won’t have all that long to wait as we are witnessing more signs war against Iran is headed straight for us.  Let say the US and Israel attacks Iran this September or November as some have warned it would.  Does this mean that the Ezekiel war will break out as a result of Israel trying to wipe out Iran’s nuclear weapons program?  I think not.  What will probably take place as a result of an attack on Iran is the nations boarding Israel will make their move on Israel and fulfill the Psalm 83 war, then the Ezekiel war will break, but no until there is a time frame past that will make Israel think they are living in safety as it states in  Ezekiel 38:11.  Are we really getting close to these wars?  Read the news today because the answer is yes we are!

Worst floods in a decade in China, 30,000 trapped

KUALA LUMPUR (July 11, 2010): Civil society must exert pressure on governments to shun hypocrisy and rise against Israel, Perdana Global Peace Organization chairman and former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said today. In his address at the Breaking The Siege: In the Spirit of Rachel Corrie and Mavi Marmara international conference, Mahathir said: "We must call upon all governments not to be hypocritical and stand up to this rogue state called Israel."  He also termed Israel an “apartheid state” which must not be allowed to continue such oppressive policies. He said the world should not allow an apartheid state to continue its oppression of Palestinians.  He said the December 2008 invasion of Gaza not only resulted in the deaths of Palestinian civilians but also an outpouring of aid which did not reduce the suffering of the people.

"The invasion saw more than 1,400 civilians, men, women and children killed, and more than 20,000 homes, schools and hospitals were destroyed," he said.
"Many countries pledged billions in aid, but the pledges were not translated into concrete action to alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinians in Gaza.
"It was hypocrisy at its worst."

Later, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who closed the conference, said the government will push for an emergency special session at the United Nations General Assembly to bring up the issue of Israel.

He said Malaysia will continue to play an active role in standing up for Palestinians who are oppressed by the Israelis. “We will demand at the UN General Assembly that action be taken against Israel,” he said. "We will send a clear message to the world that Israel cannot continue oppressing Palestinians, that Palestinians must be free from the shackles of Israel."

Other speakers at the conference related accounts of the flotilla attacks, and provided insight into the lives of Palestinians in Gaza and called for action against Israel. They included international activist Jenny Graham  and former United Nations (UN) assistant secretary general Dennis J. Halliday who were on board the MV Rachel Corrie and Michel Chossudovsky from Ottawa University.”

Israel is a great place to go birding having over 500 resident and migrant species. This is due largely to its location in the eastern Mediterranean at the crossroads of Asia, Europe and Africa. Habitats from all three continents meet here: the snowy peaks of Mount Hermon, the temperate rolling mountains of the Galilee, the warm Mediterranean coastline, the semitropical Jordan Rift Valley, the varied deserts of the south and east, and the Red Sea shores of Eilat`s desert oasis. Part of the only land bridge between the three continents, Israel is along the major migration routes between them, with millions of birds making the trip twice a year. All this variety comes in a small package: the drive from north to south takes less than a day and the trip from west to east under two hours.

Northern Israel is blessed with an abundance of water sources, craggy volcanic mountains in the northeast and a temperate climate, all of which attract species not found in other parts of Israel. The north is home to many birds of prey, including Griffon vultures, imperial eagles, long legged buzzards and Egyptian vultures. A prime site for these species, especially Griffon vultures, is the Gamla nature reserve in the southern Golan Heights.

Now read Ezekiel 38:14-15 and you will see that God tells us the attack on Israel will be from the North.  "Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, 'Thus says the Lord God: "On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?  Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.” 

Everything about this war is spelled out for us.  Israel’s enemies will attack from the North, keep in mind this is where the birds are breeding right now, and they are the type of birds that eat the flesh of anything dead.  Now lets get more information about the enemy of God falling in the North, the mountains of Israel where the birds are.

Ezekiel 39:1-5, "And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal; 2 and I will turn you around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand, and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand. 4 You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5 You shall fall on the open field; for I have spoken," says the Lord God.”

God is showing us the armies who come against Israel will be killed in the north, in the mountains of Israel even before they can get close to Jerusalem.  The birds are increasing in number in the North?  Why?  They are multiplying in numbers to get ready to fulfill the very words God spoke about them.  Are you going to tell me that the birds of pray that never used to stop in Israel, but have now done so, is a coincidence?  It is a coincidence these birds are the North increasing in their numbers.  Can’t you see what the Holy Spirit is showing us?  Many of you who think you are smart in the world, need to read what Christ said.

“At that time Jesus said in reply, "I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. (Mt 11: 25-27) 

In light that we are reading many warning war is coming to the Middle East soon, don’t you think you should know what is going to happen there before it actually takes place?  If you refuse Jesus Christ as being your savior now, at least when you see this war and the very fulfillment who wins and what happens to them, then you may stop hardening your heart and turn to Christ for your salvation.  My prayer for you is that the Church hasn’t been raptured at this point, so you will have a chance to come with the childlike who believed the Lord’s message to the Church.

Prophecy Sign: In Luke 21: 11 Jesus shows us many last days signs to look for.  I want to focus on the sign of pestilence.   First, read exactly what was written. “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.”

In my June 17, 2010 report I stated the following: “Jesus in the Book of Revelation warned us that food was going to be a major problem during the seven year tribulation.  We know this to be true from Revelation 6:6 where we see people working all day long for a handful of wheat or barley.  Between the wars, droughts, lack of water, and pestilence there is going to be very little food left during the tribulation.  What you are seeing showing up in the news now is only a prelude to things to come. What we are witnessing here are the birth pains as Christ warned.  Since birth pains only get worse you can expect to see even more news like these Locusts and grasshopper plagues.”

“China trains fur farm foxes to combat rat plague”

“BEIJING (Reuters) – Authorities in China’s far west have bred and trained "an army" of silver foxes bought from a fur farm to fight a plague of rats threatening a huge expanse of grasslands, state media said on Wednesday.

The Xinjiang government bought 20 foxes in 2004 and they have since increased to 284 and been released into the wild, the official Xinhua news agency said.

"Foxes are excellent natural predators of the rodent. One fox can catch about 20 rats per day. There has been a decline in the rat population in several counties where the measure has been adopted," it quoted official Ni Yifei as saying.

Rat numbers have exploded due to unusually dry conditions and threaten more than 5.5 million hectares of grasslands, the report said.

In one of the areas where the foxes have been released, rat numbers have dropped 70 percent, it added.

"The silver fox was chosen to be the rat fighter for its distinctive ability to run, hunt and live under the harsh living conditions on the prairie," Ni said.”

Locust plague ravages China’s pastures, farm areas. 

“Huge swarms of locusts are ravaging grasslands and farmlands in many parts of China amid the lingering summer heat, and local authorities have resorted to aerial spraying of pesticides to kill the insects. Authorities in northern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have monitored locusts which have infested 3.9 million hectares, or 4.5 percent of the region’s total area of grasslands, according to the latest figure released by the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (DAAH) of Inner Mongolia. The hot and dry weather were believed to have triggered the ravaging by the insects, which are harmful to crops and grassland, said Zhang Zhuoran, chief of the vegetation conservation section of the DAAH.

Prophecy Sign: In part of Matthew 24:7 the Lord warns to watch for wars and rumors of war.  For over a year the US news has been filled with reports that Israel is going to attack Iran soon and the US may back them up.  Recent news is now saying this war may be fought this September or November.  Knowing that the US will be engaged in a new war and they do not have enough troops as it is, could this be the real reason why Rep. Charles Rangel is now seeking to reinstate the draft?  Let’s see how fast this bill moves?

“A bill introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., would reinstate a compulsory military draft during wartime and require U.S. citizens not selected for military duty to perform a "national-service obligation" – as defined by President Obama – for a minimum of two years.

Rangel introduced the Universal National Service Act, or H.R. 5741, on July 15. The measure was referred to the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel on July 23.

Rangel introduced similar bills in 2003, 2006 and 2007. His current bill does not have a co-sponsor.

Rangel took to the floor of the House to reintroduce H.R. 5741, stating, "I have introduced legislation to reinstate the draft and to make it permanent during time of war. It is H.R. 5741, and what this does is to make everyone between the ages of 18 and 42 – whether they’re men or women, whether they’re straight or gay – to have the opportunity to defend this great country whenever the president truly believes that our national security is threatened."

 A few days ago I received a email about a priest who gave a dog communion. In the article it was reported it was I called an “act of reaching out”. I am not going to put up the entire article because you need to read the report to understand what happen in its full context.  I will tell you that the report said there was a happy ending to what happen and it was pointed out that “one parishioner felt the church offended the sacred ritual and complained to the Anglican Diocese of Toronto. Bishop Patrick Yu, the area bishop of York-Scarborough responsible for St. Peter’s who received the complaint, called the act a “misguided gesture of welcoming.”

I suppose the happy ending they refer to in this report is the following: “But Rea says she’s received a lot of support through phone calls, visits and emails. The incident, which thrust the 137-year-old downtown church into the spotlight, has even brought new people in, she says, pointing out that “Jesus is a positive person and Christianity is a positive religion.”

The person who sent me the report made this comment to me. “Frank, Here is a follow up article from the Toronto Star newspaper.  Please review the comments and see how many people (Christians?) think this is no big deal.  It is a big deal!”

 Is this a big deal?  Let me give you the answer from the Word of God. What you are about to read comes from Paul the Apostle and it has to do with the last supper, and by all means it is a Prophecy Sign. 1 Corinthians 11:25-30 “In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”  For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.  Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord.  Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.  For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.  That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.

According to Jesus Christ this is a very big deal!  Jesus passed the bread and wine because He knew what He was about to do for all mankind, God was getting ready to pour out His own blood in order to keep you and I from going to hell. I am going to say something that many will not like to hear but it is truth!  If you think what happened is no big deal after you read the entire report, I doubt you are really walking in a real personal relationship with the Savior.   Let me ask all you people who claim you are Christians as question.  Please be honest with yourself.  What do you think the Apostle Paul would have done if he were sitting in that Church and saw the Priest give a dog Christ’s Holy Communion?  Do you think Paul would have said that so kind and cute?  Paul would have jumped out of his seat and stopped the service in its tracks. As I read the report I noticed that there was one person who complained but it was after the fact.  Are you telling me that there wasn’t one person in that Church who understood what Jesus told Paul to write concerning the last supper, and was willing to stand up for Christ and His sound doctrine.  There is no happy ending to this story and let me tell you why.  The report stated that because of what happened many new people are coming to this Church.  I for one would not want to attend a Church where people are afraid to stand up for Christ and have in my opinion watched Church leaders sweep what happened under the rug.

Of course in these last days when many Churches around the world have fallen away from sound doctrine it won’t be a big deal to them as sound doctrine has been replaced with good feelings and a kind thing to do for an animal.  This is where it becomes a religion and not a personal relationship with the Savior Jesus Christ.  It I were the head Priest of this Church I would take one Sunday and teach the meaning of the last supper.  It is obvious the people attending St. Peters Church do not know the Word of God or, they just don’t care.

Jesus told Paul what to write about the last supper and many are not taking what Jesus did serious.  Christ also gave a message to the Chruch of Laodicea in the Book of Revelation.  This is a picture of the last days Church.  If you choose to discount how important the communion is you better not discount what Jesus says to the Church living in the last days.

Message to the Church at Laodicea

"And to the angel (messenger) of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen (Jesus Christ), the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth." ' " (Revelation 3:14-16).

 If you are attending this Church who didn’t make a big deal out of defiling Jesus Christ’s Holy Communion you better remember the Words spoken by Jesus in Revelation 3:14-16 because your Church has become part of the Church at Laodicea, but there is still hope for you and I again quote Jesus Christ. "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. " (Revelation 3:19-20).

I am calling out to the Priest and all that attend St. Peter’s Anglican Church on Carlton St. to come home to Christ, repent from your Luke warmness and light again the fire for your Savior Jesus before He returns.

My intention is not to punish you for what happened at your Church, but to help lead you back into the arms of Jesus. Let this be the time that you choose to use what has happened to rebuild your walk in Christ and to strengthen your relationship with our Father who is coming soon.

Palestinian President Abbas has conditioned a move to direct negotiations with guarantees regarding security, borders of a future Palestinian state.

The Palestinian Authority is determined to sabotage attempts to upgrade the ongoing proximity Middle East peace talks with direct negotiations, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday, adding that direct talks were the only way to ensure Israel's security interests.

Continuing previous efforts to encourage direct talks with Israel that took place during his stint as president of the European Union that ended one month ago, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos will meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Amman this Tuesday.

Abbas has recently indicated he will resist United States pressure for face-to-face peace talks with Israel for now, saying indirect negotiations must make progress first.

The Palestinian president has said that he wants the indirect negotiations to produce results on the issues of the security and borders of a future Palestinian state to be founded alongside Israel on land captured in 1967.

Speaking at the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Sunday, Netanyahu said that as far as Israel was concerned, "direct talks can commence as early as next week," adding that Israel had an "understanding with the Americans that we must move into direct negotiations immediately and without further delay."

However, the prime minister claimed that the PA has responded to its invitation to direct talks with an "effort to evade this attempt."

"If anyone had any doubts regarding the Palestinians' reluctance, it is now crystal clear," Netanyahu said, adding that the PA were "stalling direct talks and relying on the Arab League for support."

The PM argued that while the Palestinians claim they are interested in moving peace talks forward, they in fact were using every excuse to delay any progress, saying that first "they said it was the [settlement] freeze, now it's the borders issue."

“On the subject of the West Bank settlement construction freeze, the prime minister said he had not intention to extend the 10-month moratorium, saying "the slowdown was limited in time: It has not changed and that's how it will be."

“IDF strikes 3 Gaza targets”

Military says attack on arms factory, two smuggling tunnels, response to rockets, mortars fired at Israel over weekend

Response to rockets: The Israel Air Force struck three targets in the Gaza Strip Sunday night including an arms factory in the northern Strip and two smuggling tunnels in the south.

The military reported that precise hits were identified and all jets returned safely to their bases. There were no reports of injuries on the Palestinian side.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said the assault came in response to the rockets and mortar shells fired at Israel over the weekend.

On Saturday, Palestinians fired four rockets into southern Israel, causing no damage or injuries. One of the rockets, with a 115 millimeter diameter, appears to have been manufactured outside the Strip.

"The IDF holds the Hamas terror organization solely responsible for the occurrences in the Gaza Strip and for maintaining calm there."

 'If Hizbullah strikes, we hit Lebanon'”  “Barak issues warning against resuming rocket attacks from North.The IDF will attack Lebanese government institutions if Israel is again subjected to rocket attacks, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in an interview with The Washington Post published Sunday. He told the newspaper that since the Lebanese goverment is allowing Hizbullah to rearm, "we will not run after each Hizbullah terrorist or launcher. . . . We will see it as legitimate to hit any target that belongs to the Lebanese state, not just to Hizbullah."  Ahead of his visit to Washington today, Barak drew attention to this issue as well as his views on the Iranian nuclear threat and the actions currently being taken by the international community. "There are differences about what could be done about it, how it should be done, and what [is] the timeframe within which certain steps could be taken," he told the newspaper.  The defense minister also reiterated his support for further sanctions against Iran, but said that there needs to be an awareness of the limitations. "It's still time for sanctions," he said, though he added that "probably, at a certain point, we should realize that sanctions cannot work." Addressing the peace process, Barak told The Washington Post that the government's will to move forward "is there. But, of course, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. We have to prove it in actions, in the negotiations."

The head of the Islamic Movement in the Palestinian Territories Occupied in 1948 (Israel) has warned of a likely regional war in the Middle East that may lead to a third world war, through which Israel will seek to demolish Al-Aqsa Mosque.  According to Shaikh Raed Salah, the year 2010 is a fateful one for Al-Aqsa, in which he does not rule out the possibility that the Israeli occupation authorities may try to divide Al-Aqsa into different sections.

“He called on "all honest people" to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from the various Israeli plots to destroy the historic site. His detention, he said, is a marginal issue compared to that of Jerusalem.”

Calling on Arab and Islamic nations to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from the enemies of Islam, Shaikh Raed cited a possible regional war in which Israel will seek to demolish the mosque as the biggest threat ever faced by the sanctuary. Before entering the prison, the Shaikh said, "I'm not standing on the threshold of prison, but on the threshold of the eradication of the Israeli occupation."

TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran expects the United States to launch a military strike on "at least two countries" in the Middle East in the next three months, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told state-run Press TV.

In an interview recorded on Monday, Ahmadinejad did not specify whether he thought Iran itself would be attacked nor did he say what intelligence led him to expect such a move.

The United States and Israel have refused to rule out military action against Iran's nuclear program which they fear could lead to it making a bomb, something Iran denies.

"They have decided to attack at least two countries in the region in the next three months," Ahmadinejad said in excerpts broadcast on the rolling news channel on Tuesday.

Israel, which refuses to confirm or deny the existence of its own nuclear arsenal, has a history of pre-emptive strikes against suspected nuclear targets. In 1981 it destroyed Iraq's only nuclear reactor and in 2007 bombed a suspect site in Syria.

Whilst we’re all familiar with chip and pin, another payment technology has been growing in popularity. It is estimated that over 9.6 million[1] contactless-capable cards have been issued by card providers in the UK, so around one in six cardholders already have a card that doesn’t require a pin to be entered for transactions under £15, simply a flash of a card on a reader.  
A recent report from analysts, Datamonitor, has reignited the debate as to whether widespread use of contactless payment is just around the corner or some way off. Datamonitor has come down firmly on the side of ‘some way off’, arguing that until there is demand from consumers, retailers will not make the investment to go contactless.
Barclaycard and Barclays have taken a lead on contactless because we fundamentally believe that it, and the cashless society it heralds, is the future. Furthermore, contrary to Datamonitor’s report we believe that future is closer than they anticipate.
Forward thinking retailers such as EAT. and Prêt a Manger are already reaping the rewards: contactless credit and debit card terminals eliminate the need for cash for even small transactions, enabling retailers to speed up sales at the tills and to avoid the hassle of handling large quantities of money.

Barclaycard, along with Barclays, have 25,000 contactless terminals live and accepting payment across the country.
Nor are consumers being left behind. The Payments Council recently predicted that cash payments would account for fewer than half of all transactions within just five years, with consumers increasing the amount consumers spend with cards fourfold in the last decade[2].

Indeed, for retailers and consumers alike, cash is increasingly becoming more of a burden than a straightforward form of payment. The cost to retailers of processing it is huge, queues become uncontrollable as customers fumble for change in shops, and having to remember to get cash out from an ATM just becomes another thing to think about in consumers’ busy lives.
In response to the need for an easy and innovative replacement to cash, contactless payment in the UK has taken off in the past three years for low value purchases. Since September 2007, Barclays and Barclaycard have issued over eight million contactless-enabled cards, allowing customers to make transactions quicker and more easily.  As a result of the ease of payment, 61% of users find it preferable to using cash.[3]
Some retailers may worry that contactless could cost them more than cash. However, considering the hidden costs borne by retailers in handling, storing and banking cash, contactless could well prove a cheaper option overall. Smaller retailers will receive contactless capability automatically when their card reading hardware is periodically replaced. Large retailers will need upgraded terminals and software, but this can be done during a standard replacement or upgrade cycle, and nearly all EPoS software supports contactless.
Recently, we have seen other card providers begin to join Barclays and Barclaycard in providing a contactless service. In America, Canada and Australia, contactless is already used extensively, boosted by a transaction limit of $50.
Contactless is increasingly being seen as a way to cement relationships with customers and provide ownership of the customer journey – whether that is providing point-to-point in travel or over the course of several days at a festival.

Contactless has become widespread in Europe, with Italy and Turkey in the process of adapting their transport networks to accept contactless payment. In the UK, the system is rapidly growing in popularity with key retailers having announced their commitment to quicker queues and slicker transactions, and with a number of music festivals, such as Wireless, trailing the use of contactless technology.
Contactless speeds up transactions as it does not require a customer to enter a PIN or enter their card into a payment terminal. Once the card has been placed over the contactless terminal, the transaction uses secure technology to automatically add the purchase to the customer’s credit card bill or debit it from their current account.
As with all credit and debit cards, security is of paramount concern and as a result, contactless uses tried and tested, reliable payment technology. In addition, there is a £15 limit on single transactions and a card can only be used on multiple transactions using solely contactless payment a certain number of times before a customer is prompted for their PIN.

In the unlikely event of fraud, contactless debit and credit transactions benefit from the same 100% fraud guarantee as standard transactions.
Whilst the chip is currently inserted into cards, it is intended that by 2012 contactless mobile phones will be widely available allowing consumers to not only make purchases with greater ease but also keep a close eye on what they are spending through their phone.

Barclays and Barclaycard anticipate that in the next two years use of contactless payments systems will become widespread across multiple sectors.
Contactless is growing fast, with many credit and debit card providers issuing contactless-enabled cards as standard when a card comes up for renewal. The reality is that consumers are choosing not to use cash; that soon for more than half of purchases, cards will be used instead.

This provides a golden opportunity for retailers as it allows them to take advantage of innovative technology to provide customers with the smooth service they demand as it reduces costs. With 26,000 live terminals, contactless has grown quickly and the speed of that growth is increasing.

What’s more, contactless is set to play a key role in mobile banking, which, with its customer-centric focus, is the future.
Few technological developments are adopted by consumers as quickly as analysts would like, but contactless does now have momentum. Customers are increasingly aware as a result of successful marketing campaigns and larger retailers are beginning to take the plunge, having realised the hidden cost of spare change.

UIDAI to issue first set of 100 million unique ID numbers by March 2011 news

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will issue the first set of 100 million UID numbers from August 2010 till March 2011 with the government clearing funds for the second phase of UIDAI project implementation.

The Cabinet Committee on Unique Identification Authority of India related issues (CC-UIDAI) today approved the Phase II implementation of the scheme, estimated to cost Rs3,023.01 crore. Of this, Rs477.11 crore would be used for meeting recurring establishment costs and the remaining Rs2,545.90 crore for non-recurring project related expenditure.

The estimated cost includes project components for issue of 100 million UID numbers and recurring establishment costs for the entire project phase stretching five years, from 2010 to 2014.

The UIDAI will issue another 600 million UID numbers over the following three years. The project will subsequently provide unique ID numbers to all residents of India.

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – Brussels is to hold an EU summit with atheists and freemasons in the autumn, inviting them to a political dialogue parallel to the annual summit the bloc holds with Europe's religious leaders.

While the EU is a secular body, the three European presidents, of the commission, parliament and EU Council, alongside two commissioners, on Monday met with 24 bishops, chief rabbis, and muftis as well as leaders from the Hindu and Sikh communities. The annual dialogue, which has taken place since 2005, is for the first time this year made legally obligatory under Article 17 of the Lisbon Treaty. Under pressure from Belgium, the EU has been forced to hold a summit for atheists, scheduled for 15 October. TOKYO, July 27 (AP) – (Kyodo)—A total of 9,436 people were taken to hospitals for heat stroke in the week through Sunday and 57 of them were confirmed dead in the first medical examination as temperatures continued to soar across the country, according to data compiled Monday by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency.

The number of deaths is unprecedentedly high as it came to 47 in July and August combined in 2008 and 16 in the two months last year, said the agency which began compiling data in 2008.

In regard to your recent posting of Pres. Obama secretly attempting to illegally influence the political activities of a sovereign nation (Kenya-referendum) I have attached a copy of the Memorandum of Agreement that you mentioned that Odinga agreed to. This was sent to me by a Pastor in Kenya while the election violence was in progress back in 2007. I have been advised that intertribal clashes have begun in various parts of the country regarding this election. The attached memo was represented to me to be the one signed by Odinga so the Muslims would support his candidacy.
You can see from this memo what Odingas' agenda is and why Obama, with his Islamic tendencies is supporting this referendum. Please pray for the defeat of this referendum. Kenya is still considered to be a predominately Christian nation, but Islam is growing in strength in the Eastern and coastal parts of the country. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

BETWEEN

HON. RAILA AMOLLO ODINGA REPRESENTING THE ORANGE DEMOCRATIC

MOVEMENT (ODM)

AND

NATIONAL MUSLIM LEADERS FORUM (NAMLEF)

PURPOSE: To establish a lasting relationship between Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga, hereafter referred to as The Candidate, and the National Muslim Leaders, hereinafter referred to as The Leaders.

This MOU states as follows:

WHEREAS The Candidate – who recognizes Islam as the only true religion – is seeking to become the next President of the Republic of Kenya;

WHEREAS The leaders recognize The Candidate as the only presidential candidate who has the interests of the Kenyan Muslim community at heart;

WHEREAS The Candidate has pledged to fully reinstate and protect the rights of the Kenyan Muslims when, Inshallah, he becomes the 4^th President of the Republic of Kenya;

WHEREAS The Leaders represent a peaceful and God-fearing Kenyan community that has been oppressed and discriminated against by the current and previous governments, and

WHEREAS The Candidate freely acknowledges that, indeed, the current and previous governments have failed to recognize and protect the rights of the Kenyan Muslim community;

The Parties agree as follows:

(i) That The Leaders forthwith endorse The Candidate as the official 2007 Presidential candidate of the Kenyan Muslim community.

(ii) That The Leaders will campaign vigorously for The Candidate to ensure his resounding victory in the 2007 presidential election.

(iii) That The Leaders will work hard to ensure that all (or at least the majority) of Kenyan Muslim faithful vote overwhelmingly for The Candidate at the 2007 General Election.

(iv) That The Leaders will deploy all resources at their disposal to support The Candidate’s campaigns throughout the country.

(v) That The Candidate, when, Inshallah, he becomes President of Kenya will:

a. Ensure that the Coast Province shall henceforth be known as JIMBO LA PWANI and shall have full autonomy in Government in all matters apart form National Defence and International Accreditation. In addition, while freedom of worship will be upheld at the JIMBO LA PWANI, the Council of Islamic leaders shall be permitted to have an oversight role to monitor activities of ALL other religions and any applications for religious activities and institutions will require their approval. They shall have the right to deny approval to cults and other evil practices.

b. Within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions.

c. With immediate effect dismiss the commissioner of Police who hs allowed himself be used by heathens and Zionists to oppress the Kenyan Muslim community.

d. Disband the imperialist Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) that was set up for the sole purpose of terrorizing, harassing, intimidating and deporting innocent Kenyan Muslims to Guantanamo Bay.

e. Ensure THAT ALL MUSLIMS residing within the Republic of Kenya, and especially those who reside in th North Eastern Province shall be granted full National Identity Cards, and therefore, North Eastern Province shall also be granted majimbo status no less favourable and on similar terms with JIMBO LA PWANI, within SIX MONTHS of Raila Amollo Odinga being sworn in as President.

f. No Muslim residing in Kenya whether a citizen, visitor or relative of any of the above shall be subjected to any process involving the laws of a foreign country and in particular any Muslim arrested for or suspected of Terrorism or any other International crime shall only be tried within the boarders of Kenya and shall be granted a competent lawyer of his/her choice at the expense of the Government.

g. Within 1 year facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters.

h. Popularize Islam, the only true religion, in the Coast and North Eastern Regions by ordering every primary school in Kenya in the regions to conduct daily Madrassa classes.

i. Impose a total ban on open-air crusades by worshippers of the cross in the Coast and North Eastern regions.

j. Outlaw gospel programs (preaching, purported faith healing, etc) on KBC, the National Broadcaster.

k. Impose a total ban on the public consumption on alcohol beverages in the Coast and North Eastern Regions and their towns of Mombasa, Malindi, Lamu, Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Kwale, Vanga, Lunga, and all other Muslim populated urban centres of Kenya whose population is at least 40% (forty percent) Muslim.

l. Quash the recent legalization of mnazi, busaa, muratina, kaluvu, and all other haram beverages.

m. Close down Farmer’s Choice in Jimbo la Kaskazini Mashariki and other factories that process and package swine and other haram products in regions populated by Muslims including the Coast and North Eastern regions.

n. Impose an immediate ban on women’s public dressing styles that are considered immoral and offensive to the Muslim faith in the Muslim regions of Coastal and North Eastern Regions. This ban will apply to Muslims and non-Muslims alike, in these regions and will include all visitors whether domestic of foreign tourists.

(vi) In furtherance for the above and to enable and assist ODM and The Candidate win the National Elections and the Presidency of the Republic of Kenya, NAMLEF and its affiliate organizations hereby undertake to fully support the ODM as a party and Raila Amollo Odinga as a presidential candidate in all ways, and to mobilize all Muslims for this cause.

(vii) In furtherance of he above, and within a maximum of Seven (7) days hereof, NAMLEF and its affiliate organizations shall issue a joint statement declaring that all Muslims should support and vote for Raila Amollo Odinga and ODM.

(viii) I addition, NAMLEF have impressed upon Najib Balala who is present herein that he should step down in favor of Raila Amollo Odinga in the Presidential nomination exercise with ODM, due to the fact that Raila Amollo Odinga has confirmed his support for all the aspirations of the JIMBO LA PWANI and the Kenyan Muslims community.

(ix) THAT subsequently, NAMLEF and its affiliate organizations shall engage in active campaigns for Raila Amollo Odinga and ODM throughout the Republic and impress upon Muslims, publicly and emphatically, the requirement to vote for ODM and Raila Amollo Odinga.

And what a gathering! As an observer to the 2010, G8 World Religions Summit (WRS), I listened as the opening ceremonies set the tone for this remarkable event. The Secretary General of the WRS, Dr. James Christie – the Dean of Theology at the University of Winnipeg – welcomed us as religious equals, stating that what was important was that we "offer our service, and ourselves, and our lives" to the "God we know by so many names."[i]

This multi-faith perspective was evident in full color; Hindu swamis in flowing orange attire, members of the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs dressed in desert garb, Jewish yamakas, cross pendants and clerical collars, Shinto robes, Orthodox priests in black, Salvation Army uniforms, and Baha'i leaders and evangelical Christians in business suits. Religions from every corner of the planet were represented. Even so, very few people have heard about the G8 World Religions Summit, held in Winnipeg, Manitoba from June 21-23.

Compared to the G8/G20 political summits occurring days later in Toronto and Huntsville, Ontario, the WRS – the official religious parallel – was an ultra-tame affair. The security budget for the Winnipeg event was zero; nobody burnt any cars, and no windows were smashed. The only "protestors" were a group of Mennonites who, a few days before the Summit began, sang songs of support at a downtown park.[ii] In fact, many of the international participants had "never heard of Winnipeg" before.[iii]

Nevertheless, what occurred in Winnipeg will likely have a far more real impact at the local level than what transpired in Toronto. Why do I say this? Because of the direct lines of influence that radiate from the World Religions Summit right down to individual bodies. It's a top-down strategy ensuring that religious people will fall in line with an emerging global framework – a type of world theology along with an international system of socialism. And it's going to work, particularly in the Christian community.

The atmosphere in our area is heating up and the smell of war is in the air.  Reports of  long range rockets sent to Syria from Iran are only part of the story. 

Alongside Iran, Hizbullah, Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, the real kingpin of the axis of evil is Syria.  Syria is at the apex of planning, encouraging and abetting constant tension, as well as acting as coordinator of all the aggressors in the anti Israel coalition.

The proof of the pudding came when at the end of February, Syrian president Bashar Assad called for a summit in Damascus, to which he invited and then welcomed Iranian President Ahmadenijad and Hizbullah head Hassan Narallah.

Syria’s political and military terror dossier is filled to overflowing. In the 1930’s Damascus organized an armed invasion against the struggling Jewish return to the land.  In 1948 the Syrian army attacked Israel. From the 1950’s until the Six Day War there were non stop artillery bombardments and terrorist attacks from the Syrian held Golan heights to the kibbutzim in the valleys below. “

US regulators have closed seven more banks, pushing the 2010 total to 103, making it the second year in a row in which over 100 lenders have been closed.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) announced Friday it has closed seven small banks with the largest, Crescent Bank and Trust, having about $1.01 billion in total assets and $965.7 million in total deposits, Reuters reported.
