There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. Because of this the land mourns, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the fish of the sea are dying. [Hosea 4:1-3]

The Beis Hamikdash (Temple) Revealtion 11:1-2 & Daniel 9:27

Headline:  MUSLIM WAQF’S ALL-NEW HOLY TEMPLE DENIAL PAMPHLET

The Muslim Waqf, in whose able hands the government of Israel has placed the practical management of the Temple Mount, has this week begun distributing on the Mount a printed pamphlet entitled “Al Aqsa Mosque: Clarifications for Misconceptions,” whose contents offer up a complete and utter denial that the Holy Temple ever existed on the site of the Temple Mount. The booklet contains the following headings:
“Dome of the Rock and NOT the Holy of Holies”
“Ribat Al-Kurd and NOT the Little Wailing Wall”
“Marwani Prayer hall and NOT Solomon’s Stables”
“Al Buraq Wall and NOT the Wailing Wall”
“Al Aqsa Mosque and NOT the Temple”

Why is the Waqf doing this now? Is it because they are terrified by the great increase in Jewish visits to the Temple Mount, and by the successful media campaign that the Temple Institute has waged in the international media, clearly demonstrating the centrality of the location and its importance to the Jewish people? In other words, we are winning, and they are running scared, trying even harder than ever to undermine Jewish connection to the Temple Mount.

Headline:  PLO foreign minister: If Jews have a history in the land – then we don’t

From an interview in Asharq al-Awsat of Palestinian Arab Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki:

Q: You said that there are a number of contentious issues. Which is the most intractable?
This is the issue of recognizing the Jewish nature of the Israeli state. This is a sharply contentious issue. It would be dangerous to recognize this because this would mean our acceptance of the dissolution of our own history and ties and our historic right to Palestine. This is something that we will never accept under any circumstances. Isn’t that interesting? The Palestinian position is that if there is any Jewish history in Israel, then Palestinian Arab history goes *poof*. So they must deny history in order to maintain their bogus claims!

Headline:  Homefront Minister Does Not Rule Out Another Gaza Op

The Israel Defense Forces has gone on high alert in case of escalation in the Gaza Strip after it carried out a targeted strike on Islamic Jihad terrorist Ahmad Saad on Sunday, critically wounding him. The IDF said Saad, 22, was responsible for recent rocket fire from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel. He was targeted by the Israeli Air Force on Sunday morning as he rode on a motorcycle in northern Gaza. According to the IDF, Saad was involved in rocket attacks on Israel in recent days, as well as rocket attacks on Israel during Operation Pillar of Defense in November 2012 and an earlier escalation between the IDF and Gaza terrorist groups in March of the same year. “We are determined to maintain quiet in the south,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at Sunday’s cabinet meeting. “We will do so by a policy of preventive action and strong reaction against those who try to harm us or who harm us. I suggest that Hamas take our policy into account.” Defense Minister Moshe (Bogie) Ya’alon echoed Netanyahu’s sentiments. “We will not accept [rocket] fire toward Israel,” he said. “I would not recommend that anyone in the Gaza Strip try our patience when it comes to defending the citizens of Israel.” Islamic Jihad confirmed that Saad was a high-level operative involved in the group’s rocket operations. “The Zionists will pay for their crimes and for the strike on the shahid Ahmad Saad. We will not rest and we will not be silent until the Zionists pay with blood for their acts,” Islamic Jihad’s military wing said in a statement. Early Monday morning, one rocket was fired from Gaza into southern Israel, exploding in an open area and causing no injuries or damage.

Headline:  U.S. draft agreement omits Palestinian right of return, officials tell Haaretz

The United States has proposed absolving Israel of any responsibility for the fate of the Palestinian refugees in the forthcoming framework peace agreement, senior Palestinian officials told Haaretz over the weekend. Instead, the draft framework agreement, which is due to be presented by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to Israel and the Palestinians toward the end of the month, will propose a solution based on the naturalization of the refugees in the countries in which they currently reside, as well as financial compensation. The American proposal to omit mention of the refugees’ right of return from the document has outraged Palestinian officials. Both the proposal regarding the refugees and the American proposal on Jerusalem fail to meet the minimum requirements of the Palestinian Authority and have been rejected, a senior Palestinian official told Haaretz. On Jerusalem, the Americans have proposed wording that would “recognize the sensitivities and emotional attachment of the Palestinians to Jerusalem.” The proposal was rejected by the Palestinians on the grounds that it makes no mention of the special status of Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state.

The UN Security Council, which Jordan presides over this month, will hold an open discussion session on Monday in New York on the situation in the Middle East. Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh will chair the session, which will tackle the latest developments in the region, particularly regarding the Palestinian issue and the Syrian crisis. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and several foreign ministers of UN member states will participate in the session, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. “We support the US efforts to create a political framework for the negotiations and we hope that US Secretary of State John Kerry’s efforts will succeed in achieving the goal of creating an independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state,” Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani said, commenting on the peace process. “This is a high and strategic national interest,” Momani, who is also the government spokesperson, told The Jordan Times in a phone interview. “We appreciate the continuous communication between Jordan and the US administration on the progress of negotiations and we are in close contact with the Palestinians and in touch with the Israelis,” the minister said. In reply to a question on Jordan’s participation in the Geneva II conference on Syria, Momani confirmed that the Kingdom will attend the meeting, which is slated for Wednesday.

Headline:  Four killed, 30 wounded in clashes in Lebanon

Clashes between rival militant groups in Lebanon’s northern port city of Tripoli have claimed the lives of at least four people, leaving tens of others wounded. The clashes broke out between supporters of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his opponents in the Lebanese city, on Monday. “Three people, a woman and two men, were killed in heavy clashes overnight, in which heavy artillery and rockets were used,” an unidentified Lebanese security official said. Reports say the fourth person was killed in Jabal Mohesen. The violence also left about 30 people injured. The clashes were between people living in the neighborhoods of Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen. The Bab al-Tabbaneh residents support militants fighting against the Syrian government, while the inhabitants of neighboring Jabal Mohsen are loyal to Assad. The round of violence comes days after rocket fire killed eight people last week in the border town of Arsal, which is home to thousands of Syrian refugees.

Headline:  Former Lebanese PM Hariri blames Assad for father’s death

Former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Monday he would return to Lebanon ahead of parliamentary elections later this year and was ready to work with his rivals for the good of the country.  Hariri, who has been living in exile between France and Saudi Arabia since 2011 when his government was toppled by Hezbollah, has been attending the trial in the Netherlands of four of its members charged with his father’s killing. “I will return to Lebanon for the elections and so that one day I can be prime minister,” he told Europe 1 radio.  Until now Hariri has been reluctant to give any date for his return. But a conciliatory tone towards the powerful Shi’ite group would be a sharp turnabout for Hariri and his Future party, a Sunni Muslim group that supports the Sunni revolt against Shi’ite Muslim-backed President Bashar Assad in neighbouring Syria’s civil war.  “Lebanon’s interest is more important than mine, he said when asked if he was ready to share power with his rivals. He added that it was certain that Assad was behind the death of his father, former premier Rafik al-Hariri, whose 2005 car bomb assassination was widely blamed on Hezbollah.  “Everyone knows who gave the order. It was Bashar Assad,” Hariri said. “One day we will go and get them (those responsible). They will pay,” referring to those facing trial.  He also blamed Assad for the assassination of one of his closest advisers, Mohamad Chatah, in December.

Headline:  Syrian Opposition Issues Ultimatum on Peace Talks

Headline:  Ahead of talks, Assad says he won’t step down

Syria’s main western-backed opposition group that had earlier agreed to take part in an international reconciliation conference said its only aim would be to pressure President Bashar Assad to resign, Western and Arab media reported. However, Syria’s main Western-backed opposition group said Monday that Iran must commit publicly within hours to withdraw its “troops and militias” from Syria and abide by a 2012 transitional roadmap, or else the U.N. should withdraw its invitation for Tehran to take part in a peace conference this week. The Syrian National Coalition said if those conditions are not met by 7 p.m. GMT, then it will not attend the so-called Geneva 2 talks that are scheduled to begin Wednesday. The U.N. issued a last-minute invitation late Sunday to Iran, a close ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad, prompting the Coalition to threaten to skip the peace negotiations and throwing the entire Geneva conference into doubt.

Headline:  Kerry urges UN to rescind Iran invite as Syria peace talks threatened

Saudi Arabia believes Iran is not eligible to attend Syria peace talks to be held in Geneva because it did not publicly agree to a previous conference calling for a transitional government, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday, citing an “official source”. “Iran has not announced this position, which makes it ineligible to attend, especially since it has military forces who are fighting side by side with the regime’s forces,” the source was quoted as saying by SPA. Meanwhile, The United States is in talks with the United Nations over the surprise invitation of Iran to attend to the Geneva II peace conference on Syria and expects the invite to be rescinded, a U.S. official said Monday. Iran has “never endorsed the Geneva I communique” which calls for a transitional government in Syria and “we expect the invitation will be rescinded,” a senior State Department official said. The United States earlier said the United Nations should withdraw the invitation unless Iran, a key backer of President Bashar al-Assad, gives “explicit” support to the conference aim of setting up a transitional government in Syria.

Listed below are the nations which will attack Israel from Ezekiel chapter 38 and their modern day names.

Gog is the leader of the Russian invasion of Israel.

Magog, Meshech, and Tubal comprise modern day Russia.

Persia is Iran, parts of northern Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Cush is Ethiopia and Sudan.

Put is Libya and will most likely include Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.

Gomer is Eastern Germany.

Beth Togarmah is Turkey and Armenia.

There are major differences between the Psalm 83 war and the Ezekiel 38 war which shows us they are not the same war.  Here are a few major differences. At the current time Israel is still calling for Peace and safety and they have bars, gates, and walls to protect them from the PLO.  The  told Ezekiel this war will take place when Israel is living in peace and feeling safe.  As long as the enemies of Israel listed in the Psalm 83 war are working to wipe out Israel, Israel will never feel safe enough to remove any of the bars, gates, or walls which shows us the Psalm war has to take place first.  Another major difference between the Psalm war and Ezekiel war is the nations who attack Israel are different. In the Psalm 83 war you see the nations that border Israel attacking her.  The nations listed to attack Israel in the Ezekiel war do not show any of the nations which are listed in the Psalm war.  Why?  The answer is simple. Israel will already have destroyed the nations who attacked them in the Psalm 83 war and they will make no other to attempt to wipe them out.  When the nations listed in the Ezekiel war see what Israel did to their Brothers listed in the Psalm war they in turn will pick up the torch and try to do what the Psalm 83 nations couldn’t do, wipe Israel off the map.  How will this Ezekiel 38-39 war end. God tells us that 5/6 of the entire army that attacks Israel will be killed.  At the end of the day Israel will have won the Psalm 83 war and the Ezekiel war.  In the Psalm 83 war the IDF will have defeated their enemies.  In the Ezekiel it will be God who steps in to wipe out all the armies who try to wipe out Israel.  The current events you are now witnessing in the Middle East is setting up the scene for both the Psalm war and Ezekiel war.

Iran:  Jeremiah 49:34-39

“Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, The foremost of their might. 36 Against Elam I will bring the four winds From the four quarters of heaven, And scatter them toward all those winds; There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go. 37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them. 38 I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord. 39 ‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the Lord.”

Headline: Iran prepares for start of landmark nuclear deal

Iran started suspending high levels of uranium enrichment Monday as an interim deal struck with six world powers went into effect, state media reported, making way for more talks and fewer sanctions. All of its voluntary moves will be completed by Monday evening, Iran’s nuclear spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi told state-run news agency IRNA. The United States and European Union announced that they were suspending certain sanctions for six months as part of the deal. “In reciprocation for Iran’s concrete actions, the United States and its P5+1 partners — the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, and China — as well as the European Union will today follow through on our commitment to begin to provide the modest relief agreed to with Iran,” said White House spokesman Jay Carney. “At the same time, we will continue our aggressive enforcement of the sanctions measures that will remain in place throughout this six-month period.”

Headline:  Bombings kill 28 in Iraq as offensive continues

Iraqi security forces have launched an operation against Al-Qaeda-linked militants in the city of Ramadi. Large areas of Ramadi, the provincial capital of the western Anbar Province, fell to militant control in late December. On January 19, heavy clashes were reported between militants and Iraqi police, which were supported by local tribesmen and SWAT teams. Police have imposed a curfew throughout the city. Militants led by the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIS) continue to control large areas of east and northeast Ramadi. Meanwhile, A series of bombings in central Iraq killed 28 people on Monday, as a government official claimed that al-Qaida-linked fighters have dug in to a city they seized last month and possess enough heavy weapons to storm into the country’s capital. The bombings, mainly in Baghdad targeting marketplaces and court buildings, came as the army presses an all-out offensive announced Sunday to retake the area, but has come up against heavy resistance.

Headline:   South Sudan president calls for state of emergency

The South Sudanese president has asked parliament to approve a state of emergency in Upper Nile state, as tensions stoke fears of an all-out war between troops and rebels, a report says. South Sudan President Salva Kiir asked the assembly to return from recess and hold an emergency session to seal the state of emergency for the oil-rich state within 15 days, according to a document made public by the parliament on Monday. The report follows an announcement by army spokesman Philip Aguer that the South Sudanese troops managed to defeat rebel fighters loyal to former Vice President Riek Machar in Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile state. The strategic town has already switched hands numerous times since the outbreak of the intense fighting in South Sudan.
Meanwhile, President Kiir has already announced a state of emergency in Unity and Jonglei states.

Headline:  Libya unleashes its air force for first time since Gadhafi’s exit

Libya is sending troops to the country’s restive south after gunmen stormed an air force base in the region’s biggest town, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan said on Saturday, following days of skirmishes between rival tribesmen and militias. Zeidan said a small group of gunmen had entered the air force base outside Sabha, 770 km south of the capital Tripoli, but the government was in control of the town and its civilian airport. “This confrontation (at the air base) is continuing but in a few hours it will be solved,” the prime minister told a televised address, without elaborating. Zeidan said he had sent his defense minister to Misrata to instruct troops based there to move to the south. The central coastal city is home to some of the most experienced soldiers and militias, battle-hardened from the 2011 uprising.

Headline: UN: more than 200 million jobless last year

The United Nations’ labor agency says the number of unemployed people around the world rose above 200 million last year as job opportunities failed to grow at the same pace as the global workforce. The International Labor Organization said Monday that an estimated 201.8 million people were unemployed in 2013. That’s 4.9 million more than the previous year. An annual ILO report points to an uneven global economic recovery and says East and South Asia together accounted for more than 45 percent of last year’s increase. The agency puts last year’s global unemployment rate at 6 percent, unchanged from 2012. It says it expects little improvement this year, projecting that the jobless rate will edge up to 6.1 percent and the number of unemployed will rise another 4.2 million.

Headline:  North calls US-Korean drills ‘preparation for nuclear strike’

The US and South Korea are preparing to hold joint war drills that have prompted threats of retaliation from North Korea, which has already denounced the large-scale exercises as preparation for nuclear war. North Korea’s official newspaper, Rodong Sunmun, said earlier the upcoming Key Resolve and Foal Eagle military exercises in the Korean south would be a rehearsal of a joint US-South nuclear strike against the Northern territory. Korea’s ruling Labor Party has called on Washington to “make the right choice” and prevent any kind of military provocation. South Korean and US forces are set to conduct command post exercise Key Resolve and joint field training exercise Foal Eagle between late February and April allegedly to enhance joint combat readiness and deter threats from the North. About 28,500 US troops stationed in South Korea are expected to take part in the Foal Eagle drills, despite Pyongyang’s earlier proposal to Seoul to start a mutual rapprochement.  The US-Korean war games have irked the North, with Pyongyang saying the drills were tantamount to preparation for invasion, while Seoul and Washington claimed the annual exercises were but a routine and strictly defensive event.

Headline:  Floods force hundreds from homes in northern Italy

Hundreds of people have been evacuated in northern Italy after heavy rains flooded homes and swept away at least two people, emergency officials said Monday. The regions around Bologna, Genoa and Florence have experienced widespread flooding, with the city of Modena, in the Emilia-Romagna region, particularly affected, ANSA reported. Some 600 people have been forced from their homes there, with evacuees being housed in shelters, hotels and hospitals. Workers used large boulders late Sunday to reinforce the banks of the nearby Secchia river. Flooding has closed local roads and bridges in the area. Evacuations were still under way Monday in Bastiglia, in the same region, where homes were surrounded by water from overflowing rivers. Two people have died assisting others to escape the flooding. One man in the Bastiglia area disappeared after falling out of his dinghy while helping others evacuate.

Headline:   EU set to agree on sending troops to CAR

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) says at least 50 people have been killed in a fresh wave of sectarian violence in the northwest of the Central African Republic (CAR) over the weekend. “In the past 48 hours, teams from the ICRC and the CRCA (local branch of the Red Cross) have buried around 50 bodies,” AFP quoted the ICRC as saying in a statement issued on Sunday. On Saturday, the humanitarian group Save the Children said that militants killed 22 Muslims, including three children, and injured several others in the African country on Friday.  The militants launched grenades and used machetes against Muslim civilians being evacuated in a truck convoy in the town of Bouar, in the country’s northwest, the group said. The group also said that at least 23 people, including children, were injured in the attack on the convoy that was carrying mostly Muslim families from the village of Vakap to neighboring Cameroon.

Headline:   Separate incidents of violence claim 19 lives across Pakistan

Separate incidents of violence have claimed the lives of at least 19 people and injured several others in various violence-wracked regions of Pakistan, security sources say. In the first incident, the local security officials said the people were killed in incidents of firing and torture in different districts across southern port city of Karachi. Separately, at least two people were killed when a roadside remote-controlled explosion occurred in northwestern town of Dera Ismail Khan. Also on Monday, at least 13 people, including several security personnel, were killed in a blast in Pakistan’s garrison city of Rawalpindi.  Police say a bomber on a motorcycle blew up his explosives at a market during the morning rush hour. The blast also wounded more than 20 people, including several children. Rawalpindi is next to the capital Islamabad and has many military installations. The attack comes a day after another explosion in the country’s northwestern Bannu region killed over two dozen security forces. The Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for both attacks.

Headline:  Ukraine protests turn violent as EU ministers meet

Ukraine’s pro-EU protests turned violent on Sunday (19 January) amid anger over new laws and EU inaction. EU foreign ministers and foreign relations chief Catherine Ashton will discuss the situation at a regular meeting in Brussels on Monday.  She told press on Monday morning only that she is “following [the events] closely.”  Her ambassador in Kiev, Jan Tombinski, wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday: “We call on people not to aggravate [an] already very difficult and dangerous situation. Attacking police may give reason to those who don’t advocate [a] political solution of the crisis.” Reports indicate that between 100,000 and 200,000 people joined a protest rally in central Kiev on Sunday.  The violence erupted a few hundred metres away when police tried to stop hardliners from marching on government buildings.  The demonstrators threw petrol bombs and stones, setting two police buses on fire. The police threw stun grenades and tear gas and fired water cannons.

The interior ministry said 60 policemen were injured. News wires say 40 or so protesters were hurt.

The events follow Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych’s decision, on Saturday, to sign into life a new set of laws criminalising the pro-EU movement and clamping down on NGOs.

Headline:  Bangkok ‘shutdown’ campaign continues for 8th day

Headline:  Thai government considers state of emergency after weekend violence

Two explosions shook an anti-government demonstration site in Thailand’s capital on Sunday, wounding at least 28 people in the latest violence to hit Bangkok as the nation’s increasingly bloody political crisis drags on. Police said the blasts near Victory Monument, in the north of the city, were caused by fragmentation grenades — the same kind that killed one man and wounded dozens Friday in a similar explosion targeting protest marchers. The demonstrators, who control several small patches of Bangkok, are vying to overthrow Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s government and derail Feb. 2 elections she called to quell the crisis. The protest movement has refused to negotiate and the rising casualty toll has only deepened the deadlock. Witnesses said the explosions occurred about two minutes apart. The first blast went off about 100-200 meters (yards) from a stage set up by protesters, leaving a small crater beside a small shop. The second went off near a row of vendors selling anti-government T-shirts in the street, leaving bloody clothes and a ripped white-and-blue plastic tarp scattered across the ground.
