Prophecy Sign: “There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land. There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. Because of this the land mourns, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the fish of the sea are dying. [Hosea 4:1-3]

Prophecy Sign: 1Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. 2For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 3They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. 4They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 5For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:”
Prophecy Sign: 1 Thessalonians 5:33 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

It is very clear from the word of God that at the time Israel is calling for Peace and safety, that would be the time that this sudden destruction would take place.  What is the sudden destruction?  There is no doubt that it will be a war!  As you can see from the news today the PLO and Israel are still having huge issues in finding common ground to move forward on the Middle East peace talks.  Where will the stalled peace talks lead?  All you have to do is read the Psalm 83 war and you will find out. In the photo above you will find a list of all the nations who are going to attack Israel.  When will this attack happen?  It could blow out any time now.

Headline:     Large Demo against Freeing Terrorists at 7:30 PM

Israel published early Monday the names of 26 Palestinian prisoners set be released on Wednesday as part of the resumption of negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.  According to the list, five of the prisoners are residents of Ramallah and El Bireh, five are from Jenin and the refugee camp there, three from Nablus, three are from Hebron, three from Bethlehem, one is from Qalqilya and five are from the Gaza Strip. As in the first round of the prisoner release, the list omits Israeli Arab prisoners and those from East Jerusalem, even though the list of long-time prisoners contains 14 Israeli Arabs and another 10 from Jerusalem. All the prisoners slated for release were involved in terror attacks in which Israeli citizens were murdered. Officials from the Prime Minister’s Office said that all the prisoners to be released perpetrated the attacks for which they were imprisoned before the Oslo Accords were signed and served from 17 to 28 years in prison. Twenty-one of the prisoners are from the West Bank and five are from the Gaza Strip. The list was published on the Israel Prison Service’s website after those of the victims’ families who had asked for advance notice were notified. Last night, the interministerial committee in charge of the release of security prisoners approved the release of the 26 prisoners. They will be released at least 48 hours after the list is published — on Tuesday night. Prime Minister’s Bureau officials said that during the ministers’ meeting, it was emphasized that a prisoner who returned to terrorist activity would be arrested and returned to prison to serve out the rest of his sentence.

Headline:   PA Minister: We Were Not Consulted About Prisoner Release

Isa Karaka, the Palestinian Authority’s head of Prisoner Affairs has claimed this morning (Monday) that he was not consulted beforehand about which prisoners were to be released Tuesday by the Israeli government, and that the State of Israel decided on the list without Palestinian Authority consent, as reported by Reshet Bet radio. In an interview with the Voice of Palestine radio station, Karaka stated that the prisoners being released will receive a heroes’ welcome, at an official ceremony on the night of Muqata in Ramallah. Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas will be in attendance. According to one Palestinian media report, 3 of the released terrorists will be from Hamas, 4 will be members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and the rest from Abbas’ Fatah organization.

Anti-Israel protests plague annual JNF conference in Colorado

Those who protest against us are doing so because we represent Zionism,” said KKL-JNF World Chairman Efi Stenzler as he opened the conference on Friday. “We represent the organization that brought the land of Israel to its people. Our enemies use minority groups in Israel in order to bash us, while this has nothing to do with our work of research and development for the benefit of all residents of Israel.”  “The protesters denounce KKL-JNF since they recognize us as an organization that realizes the vision of Zionism,” he explained.

As you can see from the scripture below in the photo the Lord warned in the last days all the nartions would turn on Israel and the Jews.  Nation after nation has ben turning against Israel for one reason or another. The last nations to become enemies with Israel after being close friends were Turkey and Egypt.   As of late many nations have turned their backs on Israel because Israel will not give up East Jerusalem or give the PLO what they want, a seperate State.  The bottom line is this.  There have been many reports showing us Israel is being isolated as a nation but again this shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who know Bible prophecy!

Discrimination Against Jews Continues at the Temple Mount

“Out in the hot sun, a group of middle-aged Jewish-American tourists were forced to wait to ascend the Temple Mount — just for being Jews. “It was a humiliating and outrageous experience,” said Helen Freedman, the leader of today’s (Monday) group. “Because we were Jews and we wanted to go up [to the Temple Mount] as a group of Jews, we were kept waiting for 2 hours. Even then, only 10 people were allowed to ascend the Temple Mount.” Freedman continued to explain that not everyone from their group ended up being allowed to see Judaism’s holiest site, and were forced to endure terrible discrimination as they waited in the searing Middle-Eastern sun. “We were subjected to Arabs who were screaming ‘Allahu Akbar!’ to us the whole time while we waited.”

Energy-poor Jordan said Monday it has picked two Russian firms to build and run its first nuclear power plant, which is expected to cost around $10 billion. “Russia’s Rusatom Overseas will operate the plant as a strategic partner. Russia’s Atomstroyexport will be the provider of the nuclear technology,” Information Minister Mohammad Momani told reporters. “The governments of Russia and Jordan will sign an agreement on the project, which will cost around $10 billion or maybe less.”  The plant will include two 1,000-megawatt reactors, said Khaled Tukan, head of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission, who attended the press conference. “The project will be carried out in two stages. In the first two-year stage, detailed studies will be conducted and infrastructure will be built,” Tukan said. “In the second stage, the two sides will sign a contract to start constructing the plant. The Russians will contribute 49 percent to the cost of the plant, and Jordan will handle 51 percent.”  The plant, to be completed in 2023, will be built in Amra, a desert area north of the capital Amman.

Lebanon_240-animated-flag-gifs[1]Headline:   At least 13 killed in north Lebanon violence

Headline:   Army preparing Tripoli deployment

The death toll from a week of clashes in Lebanon between supporters and opponents of Syria’s regime has risen to 13, a security official said on Sunday. Two people died in clashes on Saturday and another two were killed early on Sunday in the northern port city of Tripoli, the official said, adding that scores more were wounded, including 16 in the past two days alone. Sunni and Alawite gunmen have been fighting since Monday in the Bab al-Tebbaneh and Jabal Mohsen districts of Tripoli, Lebanon’s second city. Until Saturday, six Sunnis and three Alawites had been killed in the latest bout of fighting which broke out on Monday. Residents of Bab al-Tebbaneh support the revolt against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, while those in Jabal Mohsen back Assad. They have fought frequently since the Syrian conflict erupted in March 2011. Tripoli is home to 200,000 people, 80 percent of whom are Sunni Muslims, 6-7 percent Alawites and the rest Christians. Acting Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Saturday that “security forces will take every step to put an end to the violence and chaos” in the city. “They will be strict and impartial.”

Headline:    Riyadh seeking to derail Syria peace talks: Nasrallah

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah Monday accused Saudi Arabia of seeking to derail the expected Geneva II Syria peace conference, saying the kingdom had become enraged over what he claimed to be regime-strengthening developments in the conflict-ridden Arab state.  Nasrallah also blamed Riyadh for Lebanon’s failure to form a new government and urged the March 14 coalition to accept a Cabinet lineup which would give rival groups veto power. “The world has come to an understanding that a military solution [in Syria] is no longer valid and the only acceptable solution is a political one via an unconditional dialogue,” Nasrallah said in a televised speech commemorating during the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Al-Rassoul al-Azam Hospital. “But there is one country, … the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and it is still very angry over the prospects of a political solution in Syria,” he said.Nasrallah said the kingdom had exhausted all available means to force the collapse of President Bashar Assad’s regime, such as sending tens of thousands of fighters and spending an estimated $30 billion. “The fighting side did all it can to target the regime and bring it down but failed to reach any results,” he said.

Soldiers on Monday used teargas to disperse scores of protesting students from Egypt’s Al-Azhar University as the latter attempted to reach Cairo’s Rabaa al-Adawiya Square, eyewitnesses said. According to witnesses, student protesters poured out of the university campus and tried to reach the nearby square, which had been the site of a major sit-in by supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi that was violently dispersed by security forces on August 14. Soldiers blocked the street leading up to the square before firing teargas at students who eventually withdrew to the university campus, witnesses added. The protests come one week before the beginning of Morsi’s scheduled trial. The ousted president faces charges of inciting the killing of demonstrators outside the presidential palace last December. According to one Azhar official, university administrators were no longer able to control the ongoing protests, particularly after they seeped out of the campus and onto the streets.

Syria_240-animated-flag-gifs[1]Headline:  Syrian troops retake Christian town from jihadis

Kurdish militants sought to consolidate their control of an oil-producing region in northeastern Syria on Sunday after seizing a border crossing with Iraq from Islamist rebels, activists said. Fighters linked to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which has fought in neighboring Turkey for decades, were clearing pockets of resistance of the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, al-Nusra Front, and Ahrar al-Sham in the border town of Yarubiya, Syrian opposition sources said. “The Kurds are now in control of the Yarubiya border post. They now have a clear route to market the region’s oil, which should belong to all Syrians. Thousands of Arabs have fled,” said Yasser Farhan, a member of the opposition Syrian National Coalition. The northeastern province of Hasakah, which borders Iraq and Turkey, has a population of over one million, 70 percent Kurdish and 30 percent Arab. The fighting there deepens sectarian and ethnic faultlines in Syria and threatens to draw neighboring powers into the country’s civil war. A statement by the Syrian National Coalition said Iraqi ground forces had attacked Yarubiya on Saturday in coordination with the Kurdish militia. Syrian rebel sources said Syrian warplanes had also bombarded the town.

Syria_240-animated-flag-gifs[1]Headline:  Syrian rebels say peace talks must end Assad rule

Main Syrian rebel brigades have announced their opposition to an international peace conference on Syria if it does not result in President Bashar al-Assad’s removal, piling pressure on the political opposition not to attend. “Any solution will be totally rejected if it does not end Assad’s rule with all of its military and security pillars and if it does not hold accountable all those who took part in the state terrorism,” said the statement, dated Saturday and signed by some of the most formidable Islamist units fighting Assad. “We consider attending Geneva 2 on any basis other than that mentioned above…treason that requires trials by our courts,” it said, referring to the proposed peace conference. The declaration was signed by 22 mostly Islamist brigades, including Suqour al-Sham, al-Tawhid and Ahfad al-Rasul, which are seen as backed by Qatar, as well as Ahrar al-Sham Brigade, a major rebel force in eastern Syria, and the smaller al-Sahaba Brigades, which operates around Damascus. Several officials, including Arab League chief Nabil Elaraby, have said they expect the conference to convene on Nov. 23 in Geneva, though the United States, Russia and the United Nations have all said no date has been officially set.

Headline:  Watchdog says inspectors can’t negotiate access to 2 chemical weapons sites in Syria

Syria has filed details of its poison gas and nerve agent program — and an initial plan to destroy it — with the world’s chemical weapons watchdog, the organization announced Sunday. The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said in a statement that Syria completed its declaration as part of a strict and ambitious timeline that aims to eliminate the lethal stockpile by mid-2014. The group, based in The Hague, said Syria made the declaration Thursday. The announcement provides “the basis on which plans are devised for a systematic, total and verified destruction of declared chemical weapons and production facilities,” the group said. Such declarations made to the organization are confidential. No details of Syria’s program were released. Syria had given preliminary details to the OPCW in September when it said it was joining the Chemical Weapons Convention. The move warded off possible U.S. military strikes in the aftermath of an Aug. 21 chemical weapon attack in the Damascus suburbs. The Syrian government denies responsibility for the deadly attack.

Headline:    Grand Day of Death to America’ rally planned in Iran

Militant factions in Iran are reportedly planning a sweeping rally titled, “Grand Day of Death to America,” to coincide with the 24th anniversary of the storming of the U.S. Embassy there. According to The National, Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri is saying the planned Nov. 4 convocation outside the long-shuttered and now-graffiti-covered diplomatic institution in the capitol city of Tehran will be organized by a newly created bureaucratic body called the “Death to the U.S. Committee.” “The crimes of U.S. leaders and international Zionism in dealing with Iran’s great nation will never be erased from public memories and minds,” reportedly noted Jazayeri, the deputy commander for cultural affairs of Iran’s hard-line and influential Revolutionary Guard. And the event will not be without events to occupy a crowd officials promise will number in the many thousands. The New York Times reports the rally will include the conferral of, “The First Major International Award of ‘Down With America’” for best anti-American photograph, poster, video, song or caricature.

Iran_240-animated-flag-gifs[1]Headline:    Iran touts ‘new approach’ with IAEA as fresh nuclear talks kick off

Iranian officials braced to begin another round of talks with International Atomic Energy Agency representatives on Monday, at the start of several days of meetings to resolve international concerns that the Islamic Republic is developing nuclear weapons. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi was scheduled to meet with IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano in Vienna on Monday ahead of two days of technical talks between Iranian representatives and the UN’s watchdog. On Wednesday, Iran will hold low-level technical talks with representatives from the six world powers engaged in parallel talks over curbing Tehran’s nuclear program. Several rounds of talks between Tehran and the IAEA over opening up suspected nuclear sites to international oversight have failed to produce any headway, but Araqchi said Iran would bring new tactics to the table. The talks “will focus on Iran’s new approach to negotiations with this international body,” Araqchi said according to a Sunday report from Iranian Press TV. The two men also planned to talk about recent developments in meetings between Tehran and the P5+1 world powers, the US, Britain, France, Russia, China, plus Germany.

Headline:  66 killed in day of carnage as 11 car bombs rip through Iraq

Ten car bombs ripped through the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killing at least 42 and wounding dozens more, officials said. Further attacks, including a separate blast targeting soldiers in the northern city of Mosul, killed dozens more across Iraq. Nine of the blasts targeted predominantly Shiite Muslim districts over the course of half an hour, police said. The most violent of those blasts occurred in the town of Nahrawan, south of the capital, where two back-to-back car bombs exploded near a busy market, killing seven people and injured 15 others. Attacks in the northern Shaab and southern Abu Dshir neighborhoods killed six people each. Other explosions hit the neighborhoods of Mashtal, Baladiyat and Ur in eastern Baghdad and the northern Sab al-Bor and Hurriyah districts. Meanwhile, Sunday’s deadliest attack targeted soldiers in the northern city of Mosul, killing at least 14 people and wounding 30 others. A man driving a car packed with explosives blew himself up outside a government bank where soldiers were waiting in line to collect their salaries, Reuters cites police as saying. Five of those killed were civilians.  In a separate incident, also in Mosul, gunmen killed two off-duty soldiers in a drive-by shooting. Later on Sunday, four people were killed and 11 injured by an explosion at an outdoor market in the Sunni town of Tarmiyah.  In the evening, a further four people were killed and nine injured by a mortar shell that landed in a Shiite district of Madain. On Friday, a series of nine bombs detonated by remote control killed 16 people across the country as Shiite Muslims commemorated the religious festival of Al-Gadeer. Last week, a suicide bomber killed at least 38 people outside a cafe in a mainly Shiite Muslim district of Baghdad.

Turkish police fired water cannon and tear gas on Monday to break up a protest of 2,000 people outside a court house over the handling of the trial of a policeman accused of killing a protestor in June. Officer Ahmet Sahbaz was accused of killing Ethem Sarisuluk during a two-week wave of anti-government demonstrations which were launched by a peaceful protest against the redevelopment of Gezi Park in Istanbul. Six people, including a police officer, were killed during the unrest, which presented one of the biggest challenges to Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan’s decade-old rule. A Reuters witness said police clashed with the crowd at the court entrance following the ruling. Local media said several people were wounded but there was no immediate confirmation. According to media reports, the hearing was adjourned to December 2.

A man was killed and his daughter wounded in southeastern Turkey by a mortar shell fired from across the border with war-torn Syria, health officials said. The latest incident brought to 10 the number of casualties on the Turkish side of the border since last year as a result of the conflict raging in Syria. The man was killed when a stray shell hit his house in Ceylanpinar, a town directly across the border from the Syrian town of Ras Al-Ain, which has seen fighting between Syrian Kurdish militants and radical jihadists in recent months. An AFP correspondent saw at least a dozen Turkish fighter jets take off from their base in the Kurdish-majority province of Diyarbakir and fly across the Syrian border after the incident. Turkish authorities closed the schools in the town for security reasons.

Germany told Israel to expect “severe diplomatic damage” should it fail to attend a periodic human rights review Tuesday, Haaretz reports. Israel severed ties with the UNHRC in March 2012 after it expressed concern over Israeli settlements. “On Friday, German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle sent a personal letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning that Israel’s failure to attend the Geneva-based Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review would cause the country severe diplomatic damage and Israel’s allies around the world would be hard-pressed to help it,” Haaretz newspaper reported Sunday.  On October 29, an Israel review is scheduled in Geneva as part of the wider 17th UNHRC session lasting from October 21 to November 1. The sessions are intended to allow states to “declare what actions they have taken to improve the human rights situations in their countries,” according to the UNHRC, in addition to the review. Westerwelle’s letter to Netanyahu was delivered to Emmanuel Nahshon, deputy chief of the Israeli Embassy in Berlin, according to the paper.  Its delivery was under “instruction that the prime minister receive it as soon as possible,” it said. Israel would make decision Sunday on whether to attend the meeting, according to an official who spoke to the paper.

What we know according to Revelation 7: 16  and, Revelation 16:8 is that people on Earth are going to be subject to extreme heat from the sun in the last days.  Part of the results from the hot  temperature will be droughts, lack of water, and less food for the world as the crops dry out from the lack of rain and intense heat.  In my book, I cite what has happened concerning these two prophecies in my time line.  News concerning these issues are almost popping up daily.  Here are a few reports pointing to these prophecies. Most of you know what happens when the supply of food decreases. For those of you who don’t know, the prices of food goes up. If Jesus shows us a person will have to work all day long for one small meal of wheat or barley what does this tell us?  without telling us it shows us something has caused food to skyrocket so that a person will have to labor all day for one meal.  We put what Christ said about the droughts, and the scorching heat from the sun and you know for sure some of the causes that killed off the crops in the last days.  Each year I have warned everyone to prepare for higher food costs and that is exactly what we are seeing today.  Here is my red flag to warn you again, watch the news in the near future and you will see more news showing us the price of food is again climbing.

Headline:  The International Monetary Fund Lays The Groundwork For Global Wealth Confiscation

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) quietly dropped a bomb in its October Fiscal Monitor Report. Titled “Taxing Times,” the report paints a dire picture for advanced economies with high debts that fail to aggressively “mobilize domestic revenue.” It goes on to build a case for drastic measures and recommends a series of escalating income and consumption tax increases culminating in the direct confiscation of assets. Yes, you read that right. “The sharp deterioration of the public finances in many countries has revived interest in a “capital levy”— a one-off tax on private wealth—as an exceptional measure to restore debt sustainability. The appeal is that such a tax, if it is implemented before avoidance is possible and there is a belief that it will never be repeated, does not distort behavior (and may be seen by some as fair). … The conditions for success are strong, but also need to be weighed against the risks of the alternatives, which include repudiating public debt or inflating it away. … The tax rates needed to bring down public debt to precrisis levels, moreover, are sizable: reducing debt ratios to end-2007 levels would require (for a sample of 15 euro area countries) a tax rate of about 10 percent on households with positive net wealth. (page 49)”

Headline:  More needing food stamps may be new normal

Enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program has more than doubled in the past decade even during times of economic growth, U.S. researchers say. SNAP enrollment in the last 10 years more than doubled to 47 million but, for the first time, the number of Americans receiving food stamps increased even when the economy was growing. During the 2003-07 expansion, the SNAP case load, — in a break with historic trends — rose 24 percent, the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College reported. CRC economists Matt Rutledge and April Yanyuan Wu said one reason is a change in the longstanding correlation between poverty and the unemployment rate. Poverty used to fall in tandem with the jobless rate, reducing the need for food stamps but the researchers found poverty did not decline as the economy grew in the mid-2000s — and in the recovery following the Great Recession, the number of people receiving food stamps kept rising. The assumption has always been a stronger labor market would reduce the need for food stamps, the economists said, but the new trend suggests rising employment might no longer be enough.

China_240-animated-flag-gifs[1]Headline: China sends four vessels to disputed islands

The rhetoric between Asia’s two superpowers is becoming more belligerent with China warning that if Japan carries out a threat to shoot down foreign drones, it would be an act of war. Japan’s prime minister Shinzo Abe has issued his own warning, saying Tokyo is prepared to be more assertive towards Beijing, while also telling China not to use force to try to change the regional balance of power. Over the weekend, Japan twice scrambled fighter jets to monitor Chinese military aircraft flying near Okinawa. Speaking at a military parade which looked very similar to the ones seen in North Korea, Mr Abe rallied Japanese troops. Audio: Korea relations tense as new leaders settle into position (PM)  “Post-World War II, we have prospered and moved forward as a peaceful nation. This is something for us to be very proud of,” Mr Abe said. “However, in order for us to continue protecting this peace into the future, we must be vigilant.”  This vigilance is particularly directed towards China, which is locked in a dispute with Japan over a handful of rocky outcrops in the East China Sea.

Headline:     Feds planning black box vehicle mandate to track, tax and even remotely control all personal vehicles

The federal government is working on a plan that would mandate black box tracking devices be installed in every vehicle, with real-time uploading of vehicle location, speed and mileage to government authorities. This Orwellian technology is already technically feasible and will be promoted as a way to increase “highway safety” while boosting government revenues from mileage taxation. “The devices, which track every mile a motorist drives and transmit that information to bureaucrats, are at the center of a controversial attempt in Washington and state planning offices to overhaul the outdated system for funding America’s major roads,” reports the LA Times. “[Congress is] exploring how, over the next decade, they can move to a system in which drivers pay per mile of road they roll over. Thousands of motorists have already taken the black boxes, some of which have GPS monitoring, for a test drive.” There are three hugely important realizations to glean from all this:

Realization #1) The government wants to track your every move

Realization #2) Government can turn EVERY road into a toll road

Realization #3) Two-way communication allows government to control your vehicle

Headline:  Global Effort Needed to Defend Earth from Asteroids, Astronauts Tell UN

Members of the United Nations met with distinguished astronauts and cosmonauts this week in New York to begin implementing the first-ever international contingency plan for defending Earth against catastrophic asteroid strikes. Six of the space travelers involved in these U.N. discussions discussed the asteroid defense effort Friday (Oct. 25) in a news conference hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson at the American Museum of Natural History. Their goal: to drive home the very-real threats posed by near-Earth objects (NEOs), or asteroids traveling within the radius of Earth’s orbit with the sun. You can see a video of the asteroid defense discussion here. Scientists estimate that there are roughly 1 million near-Earth asteroids that could potentially pose a threat to the planet, but only a small fraction of these have actually been detected by telescopes. There are about 100 times more asteroids lurking in space than have ever been located, said Edward Lu, a former NASA astronaut and co-founder of the non-profit B612 Foundation advocating asteroid defense strategies. “Our challenge is to find these asteroids first, before they find us,” Lu said.

Headline:  5 dead as hurricane-force winds, rain batter Britain, causing travel delays

A major storm with hurricane-force gusts lashed southern Britain, the Netherlands and parts of France on Monday, knocking down trees, flooding low areas and causing travel chaos. Five deaths were reported. Weather forecasters say it’s one of the worst storms to hit Britain in years. Gusts of 99 miles per hour (160 kph) were reported on the Isle of Wight in southern England, while gusts up to 80 mph hit the U.K. mainland. UK Power Networks officials said up to 270,000 homes were without power. Flood alerts were issued for many parts of southern England and emergency officials said hundreds of trees were knocked down by gusts. London’s Heathrow Airport, Europe’s busiest, cancelled at least 130 flights and express trains between central London and Gatwick and Stansted airports were suspended. Huge waves prompted the major English port of Dover to close, cutting off ferry services to France. A nuclear power station in Kent, southern England, automatically shut its two reactors after storm debris reduced its incoming power supply. Officials at the Dungeness B plant said the reactors had shut down safely and would be brought back online once power was restored.
