Arab Riots in Vadi Joz, East Jerusalem Sunday
Hamas Leader Ismail Haniya: Our Media Was the River from Which Global Media Drank Information
“Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! 2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. 4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
Headline: The Plan to Bring the Caliphate into Jerusalem
When the world says Hamas is not ISIS and ISIS is not Al-Qaeda and Turkey is not the Muslim Brotherhood and the Muslim Brotherhood hates ISIS and ISIS hates Hamas, it’s wise to reply with: but all these have the same goal; Jerusalem and to establish the grand Caliphate. The Muslim world is bickering against ISIS and its not because they behead but its because whom they behead. While they fight and bicker, they fight and bicker because the Jew is not the one being beheaded and is the ONLY reason why Hamas is favored while ISIS is not. It reminds us of the joke when Yasser Arafat ran into Usama bin Laden who was having a tough day since everyone was looking to kill him and he asked Arafat as to why he gets to go anywhere on the open when both were terrorists doing the same thing, in which Arafat answered: you fool I am only killing Jews.

Stray gunfire from Syria wounded an Israeli soldier in the Golan Heights on Monday, the army said. “An IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldier was injured by errant fire from internal fighting in Syria. He was evacuated to hospital,” an army statement said, without elaborating. The soldier was reportedly from the Armored Corps., which is currently stationed along the Israeli-Syrian border. The incident came as Syrian troops and Islamist terrorists fought for control of areas near the Quneitra crossing, which Israel closed after Al-Qaeda-linked groups took it over last month.

Headline: Arab states back new UN appeal by Palestinians
Arab foreign ministers have backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s appeal to the United Nations to set a deadline for Israel to end its occupation of lands captured in the 1967 war and make way for an independent Palestinian state. The Palestinian ambassador to Egypt, Jamal al-Shobaki, said Monday that the Arab resolution issued a day earlier calls for the Arab League chief to push the idea in the U.N. Security Council and other regional and international groups. Al-Shobaki said the foreign ministers are discussing the draft resolution. Abbas floated the idea last month at the height of Israel’s 50-day war in Gaza as a way to refocus international attention on Palestinians demands for a state after failed efforts to reach a negotiated peace deal with Israel.

Headline: After Gaza War, Palestinian Infighting Flares
Headline: Mashaal Trying to Cool Tensions with Abbas
The war with Israel may be over, but now the fight is turning inward with bitter rivalry between Fatah and Hamas threatening to shatter a fragile Palestinian unity deal. In the latest spat between the factions, Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas accused Hamas of running a “shadow government” in Gaza, prompting the Islamist movement to accuse him of trying to “destroy” the unity agreement they signed in April. The deal ended seven years of rival Palestinian administrations – with Abbas’s Fatah party which dominates the Palestinian Authority, ruling areas of Judea-Samaria under its control, and Hamas’s own government ruling Gaza. Under the deal, the two sides agreed on the formation of a national consensus government of technocrats which took office on June 2. But after just over a month in office, everything was put on hold as Israel and Hamas fought a deadly 50-day war in and around Gaza. Throughout the conflict, Hamas and Fatah put up a united front, working side-by-side in indirect truce talks with Israel in Cairo, which resulted in an open-ended ceasefire that took effect on August 26. But any illusion of harmony has quickly evaporated. “Hamas has taken us back to square one, to the days of division,” a Fatah official based in Gaza told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Headline: Leaders of South Say Renewed Tunnel Digging Means War
Headline: Will the Gaza truce be shorter than the Gaza war? Hamas said rebuilding tunnels and restocking
Leaders and residents of the south expressed frustration at the government, after a senior diplomatic source revealed assessments on Sunday showing that despite the ceasefire Hamas has restarted construction of rockets and terror tunnels to attack Israeli civilians in the region. “Continued tunnel digging towards our communities is a cause for war,” Hof Ashkelon Regional Council head Yair Farjoun told Yedioth Aharonoth, calling on the government to take decisive action against the threat on his constituents. “We weren’t surprised. We knew they didn’t do the job. What, we don’t know Hamas? Even the children know what’s happening,” remarked Daniel Matari of Kerem Shalom. “We are preparing for the worst and staying vigilant. …We rely on the army, not so much on the government.” Meanwhile, Day by day, the prospect recedes of the Israel-Hamas Cairo negotiations actually taking place on schedule, one month after Aug. 26, the date the last Gaza ceasefire went into force. And even if they do, it will only be a pointless formality achieving nothing. The discussions, actions, disclosures and statements filling the air at present all point to the violence resuming on the Jewish New Year festival later this month. Clearly aware of the dates, Hamas’ Gaza leader Ismail Haniyeh warned in a sermon Friday, Sept. 6, that rocket fire would start up against Israel on Sept. 25, the first day of the festival, unless the blockade of the Gaza Strip was lifted by then.

Headline:Arab Rioters Attempt to Blow Up Jerusalem Gas Station
Headline: Arabs Riot in Jerusalem after Teen Dies
During the course of intense Arab rioting in Jerusalem on Sunday, Jerusalem Councilman Aryeh King reports that a massive explosion was miraculously averted in the north-eastern neighborhood of French Hill. King arrived at a gas station in the Jewish-majority neighborhood on Sunday night, and reports that dozens of Arab rioters attempted to ignite the fuel reserves in what potentially could have caused a huge blast. “Muslim terror is raising its head in French Hill,” King told Arutz Sheva on Monday. “A huge disaster was averted yesterday towards midnight, when no fewer than 40 Arab terrorists broke in to the French Hill gas station and tried to set off the fuel stores.” If they had been successful massive damage would have been inflicted on the adjacent homes, notes King, who just last Friday was dismissed by Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat from his position in the municipal coalition, after he petitioned against building plans for Arab residents that he argued threatened the demographic balance of the capital. Speaking about the rioting, King noted “the Jerusalem police of course were not on the scene, despite earlier information on expected disturbances and despite the (gas) station being at the front line to the adjacent (Arab) neighborhood of Isawiya, from which dozens of Muslim rioters have emerged in recent months.” The Arab rioters threw rocks and molotov cocktails at the gas station, destroying the store located there. They damaged the fuel pumps and security cameras, stealing oil from the station and spilling it on the road leading to Isawiya before fleeing the scene. Firefighting crews managed to put out the fires the rioters lit in their attempt to blow up the gas station, and the oil on the road was covered with sand to prevent cars sliding out of control and crashing.

Headline: Istanbul Store Bans Entry to ‘Jew Dogs’
Headline: New Jersey Yeshiva Defaced with Swastikas
The virulent anti-Semitism that has reared its head with particular animosity in Turkey during Operation Protective Edge shows no sign of abating, as a centrally located store in the country’s capital of Istanbul recently refused to do business with “Jew dogs.” A picture of the cell phone store in Istanbul’s Fatih district was sent to the Turkish Jewish news site Şalom last week, and shows a sign hung in front of the store forbidding entrance for “Jew dogs,” reports Walla!. The sign included a picture of religious Jews in white kippot, evidently “settlers” from Judea and Samaria, dancing in front of an IDF tank. The store is located in a commercial district called Tahtakale, where many Jewish-owned stores are run. The Jewish community expressed its outrage over the offensive sign. “If a sign like this was hung against any other population aside from Jews, the world would be expressing shock and the sign would be removed immediately,” local Jews said in a statement. “But when it’s Jews, no one opens their mouths, and this could bring serious results.” The blatant anti-Semitism comes as violent protests in July during Operation Protective Edge reached the point where Israel pulled its diplomatic staff from the country, after embassies in Istanbul and Ankara were attacked.

Fierce clashes erupted between the Lebanese Army and militants in Wadi al-Rayaan and on the outskirts of Arsal Monday, while three rockets fired from the area fell across the Bekaa Valley. Citizens residing in northern Bekaa reported hearing rocket and gunfire from the neighboring outskirts. Two rockets fired from the outskirts of Arsal also hit the Bekaa valley Monday, without incurring any casualties, a source told The Daily Star. The source said that the rockets fell in agricultural farmlands in the village of Nabi Othman in the Bekaa Valley. Mortar shells also fell in the Amhaziyye village, north of the Bekaa, without causing any damage. Moments later, a third rocket fell in the village of Hor Taala in the Bekaa Valley.

The Lebanese government is in touch with Hezbollah to ease tensions after the beheading of a second Lebanese soldier at the hands of ISIS, the interior minister said. “We are in open communication with the leadership of Hezbollah, and in all directions, to rein in sectarian tension and anger on the streets,” Machnouk told the local daily As-Safir in remarks published Monday. “We emphasized the need to ward off any sectarian strife during talks with Hezbollah,” he stressed, pointing out that discord is “what the kidnappers are after.” Machnouk said contacts with Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah’s aide, Hussein Khalil, and Hezbollah’s top security official Wafiq Safa had “contributed to controlling tensions in streets and facilitated self-restraint.” Dozens took to the streets in outrage after ISIS announced Saturday evening that it had executed a second Lebanese soldier, Abbas Medlej, a Shiite from the eastern city of Baalbek. Meanwhile, Hezbollah is reviving its national arm, known as the Lebanese Resistance Brigades. The brigades were formed in March 1998 to absorb all non-Shiite Hezbollah supporters who wanted to fight Israel. Today, the brigades are taking part in the fight in Syria against extremist groups. Their role will soon be upgraded so they can cover vulnerable areas that might be of interest to Jabhat al-Nusra and IS.

Residents of the city of Baalbek circulated a statement via the mobile application WhatsApp on Monday, threatening Syrians with kidnapping and battery if they did not leave the city by 7 p.m. “You have been warned. Earlier Monday, residents from the town of Bourj al-Shamali, east of South Lebanon’s Tyre, gave Syrian refugees living in a nearby camp 48 hours to leave their tents, and asked employers of workers living in the camp to provide them with accommodation. Residents from the Hayy As-Sullam neighborhood in southern Beirut’s Dahiyeh also posted notices ordering Syrians to leave the area, and asking Hezbollah and the Amal movement not to interfere. The series of ultimatums comes after the beheading of two Lebanese soldiers by Islamist militants in Syria.

Headline: Saudi builds northern border fence against infiltrators
Saudi Arabia has inaugurated a multilayered fence along its northern borders, as part of efforts to secure the kingdom’s vast desert frontiers against infiltrators and smugglers, state media said. King Abdullah announced late Friday the launch of the first stage of a border security programme, covering 900 kilometres (560 miles) of the northern frontier, SPA state news agency reported. SPA did not name Iraq, Saudi Arabia’s neighbour to the north, referring only to the northern frontier, but the two countries’ common border stretches over 800 kilometres (500 miles). The project includes five layers of fencing which will cut the “number of infiltrators, drug, arms and cattle smugglers to zero,” SPA said. It said surveillance would be reinforced by watch towers, night-vision cameras and 50 radars.

Headline: Sisi denies claims he’ll give Sinai land to Palestinians
Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Monday denied reports from Israeli media that Egypt has promised to offer Palestinians land in the Sinai Peninsula. In a speech to mark national teachers’ day and which mostly dealt with education, El-Sisi stressed that no one can make such promises and that there is no room for talk about the matter. Israeli media reported early Monday that El-Sisi had promised Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that he would give Palestinians land in Sinai. The Palestinian presidency denied the allegations soon after the reports emerged. Abbas arrived in Cairo on Saturday for a three-day visit to discuss actions to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Secretary General of the Palestinian presidency, Al-Tayeb Abdel-Rehim, also denied the allegations, according to Palestinian news agency Maan. Rumours have surfaced in the last year that Egypt’s ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi had promised Palestinians parts of Sinai as terms of a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, sparking outrage among many Egyptians.

Syria Headline: Syrian air strikes on Islamic State positions kill 60 civilians: activists
Syrian government warplanes killed at least 60 civilians including a dozen children in two days of air strikes on Islamic State-held territory at the weekend, activists said on Monday. President Bashar al-Assad’s military has stepped up an aerial campaign over the last three months against Islamic State, an al Qaeda offshoot that controls about a third of Syria’s territory, much of it desert in the north and east. The air strikes have hit a number of Islamic State targets but have also killed many civilians in territory under the group’s control. The death toll included 41 killed during air strikes on Saturday that hit a bakery run by Islamic State in their stronghold of Raqqa city in the north, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. Another 19 civilians were killed in the eastern Deir al-Zor province, which borders Iraq and, like Raqqa province, is almost entirely controlled by Islamic State militants.

Syria Headline: Syrian Rebel Commander: Yes, We’re Still Collaborating with ISIS
A commander with the Free Syrian Army admitted to fighting alongside several terrorist organizations this week in yet another example of the so-called “rebels” true nature. Speaking with Lebanon’s Daily Star, Bassel Idriss, commander of an FSA-run rebel brigade, openly discussed the group’s joint operations with ISIS and the Al-Nusra Front. “We are collaborating with the Islamic State and the Nusra Front by attacking the Syrian Army’s gatherings in … Qalamoun,” Idriss said. “Let’s face it: The Nusra Front is the biggest power present right now in Qalamoun and we as FSA would collaborate on any mission they launch as long as it coincides with our values.” Idriss brushed off recent reports concerning Al-Nusra and ISIS holding as many as 22 Lebanese policemen and soldiers hostage, arguing that his group would fight with anyone opposed to Assad. “Our battle is with the Assad regime, and it is on Syrian lands only,” Idriss said. “It is not with the Lebanese Army.” Idriss also went on to mention the FSA’s dwindling power, saying many of his US-backed fighters continue to “pledge allegiance” to ISIS. “ISIS wanted to enhance its presence in the Western Qalamoun area,” Idriss said. “After the fall of Yabroud and the FSA’s retreat into the hills, many units pledged allegiance to ISIS.” Abu Fidaa, a retired Syrian Army Colonel, also acknowledged the growing power of ISIS in the region. “A very large number of FSA members [in Arsal] have joined ISIS and Nusra,” Fidaa said. “In the end, people want to eat, they want to live, and the Islamic State has everything.”

Iraq Headline: US launches airstrikes around Iraq’s Haditha Dam
The U.S. military said Sunday it launched airstrikes around Haditha Dam in western Iraq, targeting Islamic State insurgents there for the first time in a move to prevent the group from capturing the vital dam. The strikes represented a broadening of the U.S. campaign against the Islamic State militants, moving the military operations closer to the border of Syria, where the group also has been operating. Speaking in Georgia where he’s meeting with government and defense officials, U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said that if the dam were to fall into the militant’s hands “or if that dam would be destroyed, the damage that that would cause would be very significant and it would put a significant additional and big risk into the mix in Iraq” including U.S. interests there. At the same time, however, Hagel rejected the suggestion that the Haditha strikes opened up a new front in the war against the Islamic State group or that it represented an escalation of the U.S. military operations.

Iraq Headline: ISIS is targeting the Euphrates and Tigris river basins in Iraq
According to a detailed analysis in Debka’s subscriber-only newsletter, the Islamic State / of Iraq and Syria (IS or ISIS) is highly contemptuous of the U.S. bombing raids on ISIS, because they pose no real military threat. Instead of targeting main ISIS centers and bases, they target scattered armored vehicles and isolated positions. In fact, U.S. air activity in Iraq is diminishing by stages, while ISIS strengthens its grip on captured locations in Iraq. According to this analysis, while the U.S. is bombing unimportant targets, the ISIS advance will travel along two paths simultaneously, along the Euphrates and Tigris river basins respectively, and link up in Mahmudiya, where the two rivers run in closest proximity. This would give ISIS a dominant military position over the Shiite provinces south of Baghdad and in relation to Saudi Arabia to the south and Jordan and Israel to the west. If successful, this would connect ISIS’s northern Syria and western Iraqi strongholds without having run into a single Iraqi or Kurdish soldier to impede their progress – or being bombed by U.S. warplanes.

Iraq Headline: Iraqi MPs and military officers are behind power of Islamic State
The Caliph of the Islamic State (IS/ISIS/ISIL), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has gained considerable popularity among extremist Muslims around the world, especially with the al-Qaeda offshoot group’s control of large areas in Syria and Iraq. the growing power of IS in northern Iraq was apparently backed by several members of the Iraqi Parliament. Al-Baghdadi’s Caliphate was not a result of chaos, but well-planned by some Iraqi politicians. According to sources in the Iraqi Parliament, at least 24 MPs are involved in supporting the Islamic State’s (IS) militant fighters, both logistically and strategically. Al-Baghdadi is reportedly surrounded by 24 Iraqi middle-aged MPs, who keep IS up to date with the plans of the Iraqi forces, besides providing financial support to the Caliphate. The Iraqi MPs who currently back IS (ISIS/ISIL) have spent time in custody during the American invasion in Iraq. On the other hand, dozens of Sunni military officers, who used to fight in the ranks of the Iraqi army during the rule of Saddam Hussein, have joined IS. Those highly qualified officers are mainly responsible for strategic plans for any military operation by IS militant fighters, according to a dissident member of IS who talked to ARA News on condition of staying anonymous. The dissident IS fighter, who is currently based in Turkey, said that the power of the group stems from the way its militants are organized. “This is no more a militia fighting on the basis of limited sources as guerrilla rebels; every operation is well-organized and planned by highly qualified Iraqi officers,” he told ARA News.

PM of Iraq, Haidar Abadi, has decided to resolve the issue of the Kurdistan Region’s budget quickly and pledge complete financial support to Kurdish Peshmerga forces. He has also committed to implementing Article 140 of Iraq’s constitution within a year, which addresses Iraqi disputed territories. Abadi has officially asked the parliament of Iraq to convene on Monday evening, when he will inform it of his plan for the new cabinet of the Iraqi government. His speech, which MPs have already seen a copy of, is expected to take place at 8:00pm. Kurdish MP in Baghdad, Sirwan Sirini, told BasNews, ‘His plan is made up of four parts. Chief among them is an agreement with political parties that establishes a consensus government in which every party is fairly represented in the cabinet.’ Sirini revealed other details about the points in Abadi’s plan, which includes, ‘All parts of Iraq should be freed from Islamic State (IS) radicals as soon as possible.’ In addressing Kurdish disputes, Sirini quoted the speech as stating, ‘It is essential to find suitable solutions for the oil and natural resources disputes with the Kurdistan Region based on Iraqi laws and constitution. These problems must be resolved within six months.’ ‘In order to start solving the budget and oil issues between Erbil and Baghdad, a proportion of the disputed budget should be sent to the Kurdistan Region immediately. In return, the Kurdistan Region must hand over control of its oil to the federal government of Iraq to be exported through Baghdad. This should be done within a month.’ ‘A suitable solution for Kirkuk and all disputed territories must be found using Article 140 of the Iraqi constitution, within a year.’ ‘Peshmerga forces must be assisted in all aspects, including border protection soldiers for the Kurdistan Region and other cities of Iraq. This should be done within three months.’ Sirini said that although these are fine plans, it remains to be seen if they are worth trusting. If fully implemented, Iraq will start to improve and develop in terms of infrastructure and services, whilst Kurds will secure their rights.

Headline: ISIL unleashes pure, uncomplicated Islam on unsuspecting, ‘shackled humanity’
***Excellent article, highly recommend reading
“I studied the Koran a great deal … I came away from that study with the conviction that by and large there have been few religions in the world as deadly to men as that of Muhammad”. (Alexis de Tocqueville) President Obama shared another revelation recently, claiming that Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) “speaks for no religion” According to Secretary of State John Kerry, ISIL does not represent “the face of Islam”. It is not their personal opinion. Respected professors, journalists, columnists, philosophers from Paris to San Francisco share this view. They really want to believe in it, otherwise the idea that true evil comes from the West only, and the Islamic movement is no more than a form of “national struggle of the oppressed people”, becomes meaningless. Unfortunately, ISIL (or ISIS) is pure, uncomplicated Islam in its most genuine, original form.

Two Russian strategic bombers conducted practice cruise missile attacks on the United States during a training mission last week that defense officials say appeared timed to the NATO summit in Wales. The Russian Tu-95 Bear bombers were tracked flying a route across the northern Atlantic near Iceland, Greenland, and Canada’s northeast. Analysis of the flight indicated the aircraft were conducting practice runs to a pre-determined “launch box”—an optimum point for firing nuclear-armed cruise missiles at U.S. targets, said defense officials familiar with intelligence reports. Disclosure of the nuclear bombing practice comes as a Russian general last week called for Moscow to change its doctrine to include preemptive nuclear strikes on the United States and NATO.

Headline: Ukraine President Vows to Defend Key Port
Shelling and other clashes between government forces and Russian-backed separatists threw the cease-fire agreement in eastern Ukraine into deepening peril Sunday, two days after it took hold. At least two houses hit by artillery fire blazed in the rural village of Spartak, which lies just north of the main rebel-held city of Donetsk and adjacent to the airport. A man whose house was struck by a shell said rebels had fired from a spot nearby, and that apparently provoked a retaliatory attack from Ukrainian government troops. A group of rebel fighters in the village danced and drank Sunday morning in celebration after what they said was a successful assault on a Ukrainian military encampment in the area. One said the group had captured eight government troops, though no captives could be seen. The fighter, who gave only the nom de guerre Khokhol, said the truce was not being respected by either side. “There was mortar shelling around 20 minutes ago here in Spartak,” he said. “There is no cease-fire for anyone.” The truce — signed on Friday by Ukraine, Russia and the Kremlin-backed rebels after five months of fighting that killed at least 2,600 civilians and forced hundreds of thousands from their homes — was shattered late Saturday by shelling on the outskirts of the coastal town of Mariupol. The city council said Sunday that one civilian was killed and a serviceman wounded.

Commenting on IS insurgents, he said, ’We have strong, secure borders that will prevent these insurgents from entering.” He continued, ’Some Pakistani and Afghani militants have attempted to enter Iraq through Iran, but we have returned them to their own counties.’ Iranian Forces Commander Ismael Ahmed pointed out, ’Due to their current loses in Iraq, IS has avoided Iran’s border. So far no clashes have taken place between Iranian forces and IS insurgents on our borders. We have information that some people have waved the IS flag on bikes in Kurdish areas of Iran, especially on the streets of Baneh and Sanandaj, where they conducted a military parade.’

A Sudanese airplane carrying ammunition and military equipment has been caught in Libya’s southern city of Kufra, presenting concrete evidence that Sudan is supporting the warring Islamist fighters. Report says the warplane was bound for Tripoli’s Mitiga airport, which is under the control of the Islamist armed group Libya Dawn. It was captured by local militias during its refueling stop last Thursday in Kufra near the border with Sudan. Headline: Libya accuses Sudan of arming terrorists
Libya has accused Sudan of flying weapons to “terrorist” groups on its territory and declared Khartoum’s military attache persona non grata, a government statement said. According to the Libyan statement, received on Sunday by AFP, a Sudanese aircraft carrying ammunition destined for Libyan armed groups landed in the southern Kufra region on an unspecified date. Headline: ‘Shariah Police’ sparks concern in Germany
German politicians and media Monday called for a crackdown against radical Islamist propaganda after a group of ultra-conservative Salafists took to the streets calling itself the “Shariah Police”. “No tolerance for Salafists” said conservative daily Die Welt after a small group of men, wearing orange vests with “Shariah Police” written on them, went on a series of “patrols” in the western city of Wuppertal. Seeking to enforce their austere moral code, they told nightclub-goers to refrain from drinking alcohol and listening to music and arcade customers not to play games for money. A video circulating online shows among them Sven Lau, a German Salafist convert who claims to be one of those behind the patrol idea.

Headline: Hagel in Turkey to discuss US-led coalition
Weapons sent by Western countries to forces fighting Islamic militants in Iraq may end up in the hands of Kurdish rebels in Turkey, a fearful Ankara said on Monday. Branded a “terrorist organization” by Turkey and its Western allies, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has joined forces with other Kurdish units in the US-backed operation to halt the advance of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants. “The weapons sent (to Iraq) should not end up in the hands of terrorist organizations. They should not end up in the hands of the PKK,” Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu was quoted as saying by the state-run Anatolia news agency. “We have expressed our concerns” during last week’s NATO summit in Wales, Cavusoglu said. “It may not be possible to control where these weapons will go,” he warned. Turkish Kurds from the PKK have fought against the jihadists in parts of northern Iraq, with assistance from Iraq’s Kurdish peshmerga forces. Ankara has been criticized by some commentators for encouraging the formation of ISIS through its wholehearted support of Islamist elements against President Bashar al-Assad. The arming of forces on the ground, including Iraqi Kurdish fighters in the face of the jihadist onslaught, is likely to be on the agenda during US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel’s visit to Ankara on Monday, a diplomatic source told AFP.

Luke 21:9 and Matthew 24:7 speak of nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom in the end times. Revelation 6:3-4 speaks of the fiery red horse given power to make men slay one another and Revelation 6:8 speaks again of this red horse in conjunction with the pale horse of Death and Hades, as the one that has the power to kill by sword. Luke 21:9: wars & commotions; the Greek word here is Akatastasia, meaning instability, a state of disorder, disturbance, confusion (revolutions) Matthew 24:7: the Greek word for nation is Ethnos & refers to various ethnic groups fighting among themselves, where the next sentence in the verse refers to kingdoms (basileiva) fighting one another (not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authority to rule over a kingdom)

At least one protester has been killed and dozens wounded when Yemeni police attacked anti-government protesters in the capital, Sana’a. On Sunday, police fired tear gas and live bullets at the Houthis and their supporters who had staged a sit-in near the Interior Ministry, blocking the road to Sana’a international airport. “We hold the authorities responsible for the repercussions of this aggression, and we stress the right of our people to self-defense using all means if the aggression continues,” Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam said in a statement. On August 20, thousands of Houthis strengthened their positions in Sana’a in their efforts to press the Yemeni government to step down. Since then, Houthi activists have been holding daily rallies in Sana’a, with tens of thousands taking part. Meanwhile, Tribesmen attacked Yemen’s main oil export pipeline on Monday, halting the flow of crude, officials told Reuters. Yemen’s oil and gas pipelines have been repeatedly sabotaged by tribesmen feuding with the state, especially since mass protests against the government created a power vacuum in 2011, causing fuel shortages and slashing export earnings for the impoverished country. The stability of Yemen is a priority for the United States and its Gulf Arab allies because of its strategic position next to top oil exporter Saudi Arabia and shipping lanes, and because it is home to one of al Qaeda’s most active wings.

Headline: Argentina says discusses mechanism of currency swap with China
Argentina’s central bank chief, Juan Carlos Fabrega, met his Chinese counterpart on Sunday to discuss how a currency swap worth billions of dollars will be put into action, the Argentine monetary authority said. The swap will allow Argentina to bolster its foreign reserves or pay for Chinese imports with the yuan currency at a time weak export revenues and an ailing currency have put the Latin American nation’s foreign reserves under intense pressure. The South American country’s La Nacion newspaper reported that the Buenos Aires government would receive a first tranche of yuan worth $1 billion before the end of the year, without saying how it obtained the information. It would be part of a loan worth a total $11 billion signed by Argentina’s President Cristina Fernandez and her Chinese counterpart in July, shortly before the Latin American nation defaulted on its debt for a second time in 12 years.

Headline: Serious respiratory virus hits 10 states, including Ga
A respiratory virus is sending hundreds of children to hospitals in Missouri and possibly throughout the Midwest and beyond, officials say. The unusually high number of hospitalizations reported now could be “just the tip of the iceberg in terms of severe cases,” said Mark Pallansch, a virologist and director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Viral Diseases. “We’re in the middle of looking into this,” he told CNN on Sunday. “We don’t have all the answers yet.” Ten states have contacted the CDC for assistance in investigating clusters of enterovirus — Colorado, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. The unusual situation now is that there have been so many hospitalizations. The virus is sending 30 children a day to a Kansas City, Missouri, hospital, where about 15% of the youngsters were placed in intensive care, officials said. In a sign of a possible regional outbreak, Colorado, Illinois and Ohio are reporting cases with similar symptoms and are awaiting testing results, according to officials and CNN affiliates in those states.

Headline: Ebola Is Surging in Places It Had Been Beaten Back
Doctors Without Borders has returned to Macenta as well, opening a transit center more than a week ago at the site of its old clinic where it screens patients. As of the beginning of this month, the Health Ministry said 45 people from Macenta were being treated at an expanded treatment center at Gueckedou. The charity would like to open treatment centers in both towns, but it does not have enough staff. Authorities are now restricting access to the region’s main city, also called Macenta, where fear has again taken hold. “I have the impression that time has stopped in Macenta, that the city has shrunk,” said Siniman Kouroumah, a 42-year-old teacher. “We are afraid to walk the city, to eat anywhere, to drink anywhere.” Poncin said he, too, has felt a shift, but for the better: People in Macenta are now afraid of dead bodies, running away from them rather than scooping them up for traditional burials. Villagers who used to throw stones at the health workers tracing contacts now seek their help.

Headline: ‘Meteorite’ smashes into Nicaraguan capital
A mysterious explosion that rocked Nicaragua’s crowded capital Managua, creating a large crater, appears to have been caused by a small meteorite, officials said Sunday. Amazingly, in a sprawling city of 1.2 million people, the impact near the international airport did not cause any known injuries, but it did leave a crater measuring 12 meters (39 feet) across and was felt throughout the capital late on Saturday. Nicaraguan authorities believe it was a piece of the small asteroid dubbed “2014 RC,” which passed very close to Earth on Sunday and was estimated by astronomers to be about 20 meters big, or the size of a house. “We are convinced that this was a meteorite. We have seen the crater from the impact,” said Wilfredo Strauss of the Seismic Institute. The meteorite appeared to have hurtled into a wooded area near the airport around midnight and the hit was so large that it registered on the instruments Strauss’s organization uses to size up earthquakes. “You can see two waves: first, a small seismic wave when the meteorite hit earth, and then another stronger one, which is the impact of the sound,” he said.

Headline: Death toll from flooding in India and Pakistan rises
The death toll from monsoon flooding over the weekend in India and Pakistan has risen to 355, officials from both countries reported. According to Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority, 205 people have died because of the flooding. In India, the Ministry of Home Affairs recorded 150 deaths. Authorities are attempting to rescue thousands still stranded in what has been described as the worst flooding in sixty years. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared a “national-level disaster” and deployed Army helicopters and boats to conduct rescue operations. The Ministry of Defense said Monday that 20,000 people had been rescued in Jammu and Kashmir state. Modi offered assistance to the Pakistan-administered Kashmir region, telling Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, “Our resources are at your disposal where you need them.”

Headline: Massive Valley flooding strands motorists, closes schools in Phoenix
A massive storm drenched the Valley with record rainfall early Monday morning, turning freeways into lakes and forcing the closure of highways, streets and schools throughout the region. Gov. Jan Brewer ordered non-essential state employees to stay home Monday and she declared a “statewide emergency for areas impacted by today’s severe rainfall and flooding.” Widespread flood warnings were extended until at least 10:30 a.m. and as day broke the flood fears were prompted by almost relentless rainfall, the dangers posed by runoff water if the rain does abate, and a forecast calling for wet weather for another day. More than 2 inches of rain was recorded at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, a record. Elsewhere, rainfall totals were measured as high as nearly 5 inches. Unlike typical monsoon storms, there were not isolated pockets of heavy rain, but huge and sustained downpours Valley-wide. Channel 12 meteorologist James Quinones said already the region was coping with the biggest flood in 44 years.

In Ezekiel 38, where is the United States, in all of this? There has been many discussions about this, but no definitive answers.

Hi Pansy- if you Google young lions of Tarshish Frank DiMora you will see many many links where I talk about the US. If you read my book, specifically pages 317-360 I go into great detail about the Ezekiel War. Specifically pages 319 and 358 covers where the US is in Ezekiel 38.
