indexBible prophecy documentary book download proving our generation will see the return of the Lord. Do you want to know what is going to happen in the future before it actually takes place? The Word of God provides you with specific details about our future and all of these things are coming to pass in this generation. If you aren’t saved yet this is a must read! The Last Chronicles of Planet Earth September 9, 2015 Edition written by Frank DiMora.

The 2015, blood moon has come and gone with no Church being raptured away. What about all the people who has scared the hell out of you claiming Jesus told them this September would be the end of the world? Last month I posted 33 events people have pointed out that was suppose to bring on the end of the world.    If you want to see the entire list of events  you can go to the following site.6http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/the-big-list-of-33-things-that-are-going-to-happen-in-september-2015  If you do go to this link please keep in mind this site is not giving a prophecy but at list of events for September that may/may not happen.

A4

Did anyone stop to think that Jesus can do whatever He wants including cause a blood moon to take   place at a time it is unexpected?  Did you forget that God stopped the sun and the moon for Joshua. Read Joshua 10:11–13 : ‘And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died … Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and He said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher?2 So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.’   I see no reason why Jesus can’t do the same thing anytime He feels like it.

Remember Jesus told us in Luke 21:25 the following: “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;”.  Also keep in mind these words spoken by Christ. “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matt. 24:44).  What if the world was under the impression they could do what they want thinking they had 12 more years before the next blood moon, then all of a sudden sometime before the 12 years ends Jesus comes at a time when everyone isn’t looking for Him.   That would be a big surprise as many would be over taken just as a thief in the night! Just something to think about.  So what is the bottom line to all this.  However long Jesus wants to take before all hell breaks out is up to Him. He has given us enough end time signs to understand the time is of the end is closing in on us and we must be ready everyday.  Those who love Jesus and are really doing the best to be true followers will seek Jesus each day and walk in His will each day with the idea in the back of their minds that today maybe my last day on Earth. You see nothing is a guarantee expect Christ’s salvation if you take Him as your savior. Do you follow what I am saying?  Here it is in simple terms. Many people today are going to pass away and face Jesus this very day. Many of the people who pass on today will not be ready and, for them they will find out today that the gates of hell was real after all.  For those who loved Christ and were ready and died today, today will begin life forever with Jesus.  For the rest of us who will go on today may I warn you as Christ warned you. Be ready to defend the gospel of Christ, be ready to see more false prophets and, more false teachers.  When you see someone who has prophesied wrongly run from them do not embrace them any longer.  I don’t care if they give you 33 reasons or 133 reasons if they say does not line up with sound doctrine do not believe them. Yesterday I showed you just a few of the people who stated things that did not come from Christ. All I am saying is I hope they repent of what they have done. Jesus is willing to forgive if there is repentance. I for one thank Jesus for His grace.

Let this month of September be a lesson to all those who think they are hearing from Christ.  Make sure what you have heard is really from the Lord because time will prove has it has this month that many are not hearing from Jesus but from the enemy.  I know there are people who really want to be close to Christ and they want to be something more than what they currently are in Christ and what happens is they come up with some strange doctrine or strange prophecy thinking that Jesus gave it to them but in reality Jesus had nothing to do with it.  For those who came up with these strange things for this September let us see if they repent or come up with some excuse why what they said didn’t happen.  In all these things Jesus knows the hearts and minds!

Headline: IDF fires artillery into Syria after errant rocket lands within Israeli border

Headline: Syrian commander said among injured in IDF strikes on army posts

Israel shot artillery into Syria on Sunday after a rocket mistakenly landed inside its border in the Golan Heights, the Israeli military said. The projectile reportedly detonated in a field and caused no casualties — similar to an incident on Saturday which had the same result. The Israeli Defense Force responded by striking two Syrian military artillery positions across the border. The IDF released a statement saying the rocket was launched “due to the internal fighting in Syria,” and that it holds the “Syrian military responsible for all events stemming from its territory and will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israel’s sovereignty and the safety of its residents.” The Jerusalem Post quoted Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon as saying the stray missiles represented the “crossing of a red line” and that “Israel has no intention of ignoring such incidents.”

Headline: New clashes at Jerusalem holy site

Headline: Police enter Temple Mount after Palestinians in Aksa mosque throw stones, firebombs

Israeli riot police briefly clashed with young Palestinian protesters at Jerusalem’s most sensitive holy site early Sunday, raising tensions ahead of a major Jewish holiday. In Sunday’s incident, police said a small group of masked Palestinian youths threw stones and firecrackers at Israeli police gathered at a main entrance to the compound. Police released video footage showing protesters burning fabric and dropping it into an adjacent archaeological park. The video showed smoke and flames, but police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the fire caused no damage. The unrest occurred hours before the beginning of Sukkot, a weeklong festival that celebrates the fall harvest and commemorates the wandering of the ancient Israelites through the desert following the exodus from Egypt. In Sunday’s unrest, dozens of Palestinians entered the compound overnight and early in the morning, fearing that large numbers of Jews would visit because of the Jewish holiday. Palestinian social media sites have been filled with warnings of such visits. The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement, a small group that seeks the construction of a new Jewish temple on the site of the mosque, has called for a march to the compound on Wednesday. “Our declaration during this historical march before the Islamic enemies of Israel and their supporters throughout the world who are trying to stop and prevent this major godly event will be: ‘Yes! We are going to build the third holy temple soon and nothing will stop us!” the group said in an email to its supporters.

Headline: At UN, Jordan’s King Abdullah Threatens Israel over Temple Mount

Headline: Jordan’s king: We won’t allow threat to Arab character of Jerusalem

Continuing on a recent theme of blaming Israel for unrest on the Temple Mount, Jordan’s King Abdullah said at the UN Monday that his country would “prevent any threat” to “the holiness” of the city, and “reject any threat to the Arab character of this holy city.” Abdullah was speaking as the new session of the United Nations General Assembly Monday. Abdullah has also condemned the entry of Jews to the Temple Mount, saying that there was no need for them to visit the site, as they had the Kotel as their holy place. The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism, the site where the two Holy Temples stood for nearly 1,000 years. In response, Israel has accused Jordan of exacerbating tensions on the Temple Mount. Last week, Abdullah met with a group of Israeli Arab MKs Sunday and told them that Jews had no right to pray on the Mount.

Saudi-ArabiaSaudi Arabia

Headline:   Saudi royal calls for regime change in Riyadh

A senior Saudi prince has launched an unprecedented call for change in the country’s leadership, as it faces its biggest challenge in years in the form of war, plummeting oil prices and criticism of its management of Mecca, scene of last week’s hajj tragedy. The prince, one of the grandsons of the state’s founder, Abdulaziz Ibn Saud, has told the Guardian that there is disquiet among the royal family – and among the wider public – at the leadership of King Salman, who acceded the throne in January. The prince, who is not named for security reasons, wrote two letters earlier this month calling for the king to be removed. “The king is not in a stable condition and in reality the son of the king [Mohammed bin Salman] is ruling the kingdom,” the prince said. “So four or possibly five of my uncles will meet soon to discuss the letters. They are making a plan with a lot of nephews and that will open the door. A lot of the second generation is very anxious.” “The public are also pushing this very hard, all kinds of people, tribal leaders,” the prince added. “They say you have to do this or the country will go to disaster.”

Headline: Egypt’s Sisi warns neighbors are ‘sliding into failure’ amid ‘ferocious war’ with ISIL

Headline: Egyptian President: Time to Include More Arab Countries in Egypt’s Peace with Israel

Egyptian President Abdul Fatah Sisi said regional security is in its “most vulnerable state” and warned that some fighting Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) are “sliding into failure.” In an interview with The Associated Press after his address to the United Nations General Assembly, Sisi said Egypt is engaged in a “ferocious war” with terrorists in Sinai which required Cairo’s military to be “augmented” in order to win. “Let it suffice to look at the map and find countries that are suffering from failure,” Sisi said. “There is an increase in the extremist groups. There is the problem of the refugees that are flowing into Europe. With all that in mind, we can sense how difficult and how complicated” the challenge is. “I don’t want to say we are late in doing what we should have done, but (defeating the threat will require) a lot of effort, and not only a lot of effort but as a matter of fact it entails a good amount of understanding and cooperation from every country … to restore the countries that are now sliding into this vicious cycle of failure.” Egypt is the midst of “a ferocious war against terrorism and extremism … Increasing the military capability of the Egyptian military means that it can strike a strategic balance” for the region,” Sisi added. Sisi also said that Egypt’s 40-year-peace with Israel should be expanded to include more Arab countries—while resolving the Palestinian issue. El-Sissi believes that solving the Palestinian question is the key to changing “the face of the region,” with “enormous improvement to the situation. … I’m optimistic by nature and I say that there is a great opportunity.”

Syria Headline:   Syrian Rebels Angered By Mention Assad Could Stay

President Barack Obama declared Monday that the United States does not want a new Cold War over the Ukraine conflict and is prepared to work with Russia and Iran on the Syrian crisis. “The United States is prepared to work with any nation, including Russia and Iran, to resolve the conflict,” Obama said of Syria, addressing the United Nations General Assembly. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin was due to address the assembly later and has urged world powers to back Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad in his battle against the Islamic State terror group. Obama argued it would be wrong to support a “tyrant” like Assad, but that Washington was ready to work with anyone ready to take on the jihadist threat, even Moscow and traditional US foe Tehran.

Syria Headline:   PUTIN USHERS IN A NEW ERA OF GLOBAL GEOPOLITICS

The positioning of Russian aircraft in Syria gives the Kremlin an ability to shape and control U.S. and Western operations in both Syria and Iraq out of all proportion to the size of the Russian force. It can compel the U.S. to accept a de facto combined coalition with Russia, Syria, Iran, and Lebanese Hezbollah, possibly in support of indiscriminate operations against any and all regime opponents, not just ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra. It may portend the establishment of a permanent Russian air and naval base in the Eastern Mediterranean. Russian forces have prepared and trained to conduct close air support and possibly special operations in Syria, and may begin doing so within days.

Mayadeen

Syria Headline:   15 civilians dead in Syria regime raids on ISIS-held city

Fifteen civilians, including five children, were killed in regime air raids on a popular market in a militant-held city of eastern Syria on Monday, a monitoring group said. “Regime military aircraft fired at least two missiles at a busy souk in the city of Mayadeen, killing 15 civilians including five children and three women,” said Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. He said at least 50 others were wounded in the raids on Mayadeen, located in Syria’s oil-rich Deir Ezzor province and held by militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria group (ISIS). On Sunday, the Observatory reported that ISIS had shut down playgrounds in Mayadeen “under the pretext that there was mixing between men and women bringing their children to play”. Regime air strikes on Sunday also killed four civilians in Kfarbatna, a town in the rebel bastion of Eastern Ghouta near Damascus, the Observatory said. And two people died inside the capital itself when opposition fighters fired shells onto the Adwa district, Syria’s official news agency SANA said.

Syria Headline:   ISIS attacks regime security checkpoint, clashes with YPG in Syria’s Hasakah

Militant fighters of the Islamic State (ISIS) launched a mortar attack on a security checkpoint for the regime forces in the northeastern Syrian city of Hasakah, activists reported on Sunday. ISIS militants have targeted a checkpoint  held by Syrian regime forces near the Panorama roundabout at the southern entrance of Hasakah city. “At least three regime security forces were killed in the attack,” media activist Ismael al-Abed told ARA News in Hasakah. “The mortar attack was followed by clashes between ISIS militants and pro-regime forces in the vicinity of Panorama roundabout, where light and heavy weapons were used,” the source added. “Two ISIS militants were killed during the clashes that continued until Sunday evening,” al-Abed reported. In the meantime, Syrian warplanes launched several airstrikes on ISIS positions in Geweran neighborhood. Three ISIS vehicles were destroyed during the strikes, a security source told ARA News. Also on Sunday, clashes broke out between ISIS militants and Kurdish forces of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the western countryside of Hasakah near Mount Abdulaziz, a Kurdish military source reported, without providing further information about the outcomes of the clashes.

Hama 2

Syria Headline: Gunfight between pro-regime forces rocks Hama

A clash reportedly erupted over the weekend in Hama between members of a pro-Assad militia and local security forces, the first fight of its kind to hit the firmly regime-controlled central Syrian city. A media activist told the pro-rebel All4Syria outlet that militiamen affiliated with Syria’s feared Air Force Intelligence had engaged in a shootout with regime forces in the center of the city after a heated verbal exchange. The activist, who goes by the pseudonym “Abu Talib,” claimed that the fight began Saturday when a militiamen from Qamhana—a town six kilometers north of Hama—had “photographed girls without their knowledge in Umm al-Hassan Park near Orontes Square.” The militant’s actions angered regime force security members in the old Baath Party building opposite the main door of the park, the activist said, adding that a fiery argument between the parties quickly escalated into a gunfight. “Abu Talib” further claimed that other militiamen from the town of Qamhana rushed to support their colleague, with clashes continuing intermittently in the downtown Hama area for “several hours.”

Syria Headline: Perspectives on the Syrian Civil War

The following three viewsheds provide unique perspectives into how the Syrian regime, the U.S. and Turkey, and the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) perceive the battlefield. The regime viewpoint, shown from Damascus looking northward toward Turkey, shows the recent Russian military buildup in Syria. As the Syrian opposition encroaches further on the coastal heartland of Latakia and Tartous, this Russian buildup bolsters the regime’s remaining defensive line. In sharp contrast, Russian positions in northern Latakia are a cause for concern for Turkey, whose border is a mere 45 kilometers away from the Bassel al-Assad Airport. Russia’s increased involvement in Syria presents a new threat to Turkey’s southern border, which is currently adjacent to both ISIS and Kurdish-controlled areas. The U.S. largely shares Turkey’s viewpoint, as it uses Turkish bases and stages out of Gazientep, the perspective that is shown. Finally, ISIS’s main effort in the past has been in Iraq, and the viewshed illustrating the ISIS perspective looks east towards Iraq from its headquarters in Raqqa, Syria. ISW has forecasted that ISIS will most likely turn its offensive efforts toward Syria’s central corridor around Homs, Hama, and Idlib in the next quarter, while nevertheless maintaining pressure on cities in Iraq. However, the confirmation of a “coordination cell” between Russia, Syria, Iran and Iraq in Baghdad highlights the potential for future Russian military expansion into Iraq. ISW assesses that ISIS is most vulnerable if it is pressured at both Raqqa and Deir ez-Zour, and ISIS reinforced this latter location during the third week of September. The final graphic shows Russian military positions across Syria, juxtaposed with the terrain controlled by actors in the Syrian Civil War.

Iraq Headline:   Iraq to share intelligence on IS with Syria, Russia and Iran

Iraq’s military said Sunday it will begin sharing “security and intelligence” information with Syria, Russia and Iran to help combat the Islamic State group, a move that could further complicate U.S. efforts to battle the extremists without working with Damascus and its allies. A statement issued by the Joint Operations Command said the countries will “help and cooperate in collecting information about the terrorist Daesh group,” using the Arabic acronym for the IS group. The Baghdad-based spokesman for the U.S.-led campaign against the IS group, Col. Steve Warren, said the U.S. remains committed to working with Iraq to defeat the extremists. “We recognize that Iraq has an interest in sharing information on ISIL with other governments in the region who are also fighting ISIL,” Warren said, using another acronym for the militant group. “We do not support the presence of Syrian government officials who are part of a regime that has brutalized its own citizens.” U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly on Sunday, said in response to the Iraqi statement that “all of the efforts need to be coordinated. This is not yet coordinated.”

Iraq Headline: Dozens killed in clashes with Islamic State, coalition airstrikes across Anbar province

Clashes with Islamic State militants and airstrikes by the Iraqi government killed scores of people across Iraq’s Anbar province on Sunday, security officials said. Xinhua news agency, quoting a provincial security source who spoke on condition of anonymity, reported at least 12 Iraqi soldiers and allied Shia militiamen were killed during a firefight in eastern Fallujah that began after two vehicle bombs were detonated upon ramming a military base. The number of IS casualties in the battle was not confirmed. At least eight IS militants were killed and their vehicles destroyed during clashes with police in the Huseibah al-Sharqiyah area east of Ramadi, the provincial capital. Meanwhile, Iraqi airstrikes in northern Ramadi and Hit on Sunday killed 11 people, including at least three IS fighters, and wounded 12 others. IraqiNews.com quoted a security source in Anbar as saying an Iraqi airstrike against an IS position in the town of Kubaysah on Sunday killed “about 40 leaders of the organization.”

Iraq Headline: 35 killed in bomb attacks, clashes with IS militants in Iraq

A total of 35 people were killed on Monday in bomb attacks and clashes with Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq‘s western province of Anbar, security sources said. In the volatile Anbar province, a suicide bomber drove his explosive-laden military Humvee into a military base that is housing army and allied Hashd Shaabi paramilitary militias and detonated it near the IS-held town of Garma. The huge blast was followed by heavy mortar barrage on the base, the source said. The multiple attacks near Garma left at least seven soldiers and allied militiamen killed and ten others wounded. Meanwhile, the army artillery and aircraft bombarded IS positions in Kubaisah, an IS-held town some 170 km west of Baghdad, leaving 22 people killed; including seven IS militants, medical sources in the town said on condition of anonymity. Also on Monday, up to 35 people were kidnapped in Salahudin province at dawn. Dozens of masked gunmen wearing security uniforms and using four-wheel drive vehicles stormed the villages of al-Hajaj and Albu Tu’ma south of the battleground town of Baiji, some 200 km north of Baghdad, a provincial security source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

Headline:  Iran’s Rouhani suggests U.S.-Iran prisoner swap

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said his country would consider releasing American prisoners if the United States releases Iranians held for sanctions violations. There are three U.S. citizens known to be in Iranian jails, the most notable being Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian, a dual American-Iranian citizen jailed for espionage. Another is missing after visiting Iran. Rouhani, in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly’s annual meeting of world leaders, said Sunday the United States is holding Iranians whose only crime was to circumvent economic sanctions which will soon be removed as part of the landmark nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers. Those who violated the sanctions “tried to do something which they won’t be punished for now,” Rouhani noted. Of Americans imprisoned in Iran, he said, “If the Americans take the appropriate steps and set [Iranians in U.S. custody] free, certainly the right environment will be open and the right circumstances will be created for us to do everything within our power and our purview to bring about the swiftest freedom for the Americans held in Iran as well.”

Headline:  Islamic State Fighters Killed as Afghan Fight Against Militants Intensifies

Afghan security forces clashed with Islamic State (IS) fighters in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday after several government outposts came under attack, intensifying the conflict in a province that has become a flashpoint in the country’s fight against the militant group. The incident marks the first direct fighting between IS and Afghan security forces in the Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, which borders Pakistan. According to the Afghan Interior Ministry, government forces killed at least 80 IS fighters, including many Pakistanis, and injured many more in response to the attacks on security force posts in Achin. A senior official from the Interior Ministry told VICE News the government has launched an operation against IS forces in Nangarhar province. Over a week ago, militants loyal to IS closed dozens of schools in the districts of Achin, Kot, and Dih Bala, leaving 30,000 children without access to education. Nangarhar residents have reportedly become fed up with IS in the province following multiple killings of innocent civilians.

Headline: Taliban ‘seize provincial HQ’ in Afghan city of Kunduz

Headline: Afghan Taliban hoist flag over main square in Kunduz city

The Taliban say they have captured the provincial government headquarters in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz, and are advancing on the airport. Hundreds of militants stormed the strategic city before dawn and quickly seized key buildings. The Taliban are also reported to have captured the city jail, freeing hundreds of prisoners. The government says it has sent reinforcements to Kunduz and fighting is still going on. The attack came a day before the first anniversary of President Ashraf Ghani’s unity government. If the city falls, it would be the first provincial capital taken by the Taliban since they lost power in the US-led invasion of 2001. Kunduz is strategically important as it acts as a transport hub for the north of the country. It also has symbolic significance for the Taliban as it was their former northern stronghold before their government was overthrown. “With the capturing of the police compound and governor’s office in Kunduz, the whole province fell to our hands and our fighters are now advancing towards the airport,” Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid said on his Twitter account.

One South African peacekeeper was killed and four wounded when a convoy they were escorting came under fire in Sudan’s Darfur region, the U.N.-African Union peacekeeping mission said on Monday. Headline: English-speaking female jihadis in Libya issue Islamic State call to arms

English-speaking female jihadis have been using social media to try to lure western Muslims to join them with Islamic State in Libya, a new front in the war on terror just 400 miles from Europe’s shores. Three native English-speaking women have been monitored for months by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, a UK-based thinktank, and are believed to be British. They say they have been living in the wartorn north African country since at least the start of the summer. Using a variety of social media platforms, including Twitter and encrypted messaging apps such as Surespot and Telegram, the three have reached out to their hundreds of followers, and as routes into Syria via its 500-mile border with Turkey have become further restricted they have advertised the journey to Libya as the easiest way of joining Isis’s so-called caliphate. Isis has been in Libya for just over a year and the country is home to its largest forces outside of the Middle East. The group has its headquarters in the northern coastal town of Sirte, birthplace of Libya’s late dictator Muammar Gaddafi, but also has a training base to the west of the capital, Tripoli.

Headline:  Fatal clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia-backed Karabakh stir tension

Headline:   Armenia Threatens To Escalate Conflict With Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan and the Armenia-backed breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh on Monday bickered about how many of their soldiers had been killed in clashes which have stoked fears of a wider conflict breaking out in the South Caucasus. Violence erupted last week with both sides accusing one other of starting the trouble, of using heavy weapons, and of killing each other’s soldiers in an area that is crisscrossed by oil and gas pipelines. In an account that was disputed, Armenia said Azeri forces had also attacked several villages near the border between the two former Soviet republics, killing three civilians. On Monday, the Azeri defense ministry said three of its soldiers had been killed in the fighting, and that seven Armenian-backed soldiers from Karabakh had also been killed with many more wounded. That assertion was challenged by the ministry of defense in Nagorno-Karabakh. It said that more than 10 Azeri soldiers had been killed and several more wounded, denying it had suffered any casualties.

nation against nation 3CooltextprophecysignLuke 21:9 and Matthew 24:7 speak of nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom in the end times. Revelation 6:3-4 speaks of the fiery red horse given power to make men slay one another and Revelation 6:8 speaks again of this red horse in conjunction with the pale horse of Death and Hades, as the one that has the power to kill by sword.  Luke 21:9: wars & commotions; the Greek word here is Akatastasia, meaning instability, a state of disorder, disturbance, confusion (revolutions)   Matthew 24:7: the Greek word for nation is Ethnos & refers to various ethnic groups fighting among themselves, where the next sentence in the verse refers to kingdoms (basileiva) fighting one another (not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authority to rule over a kingdom)

Headline: UN Troops Disperse Protesters in 3rd Day of CAR Clashes

Deadly clashes broke out in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic (CAR), after a Muslim motorbike taxi driver was killed. About 20 people have been killed with at least 100 others wounded in the violence. UN peacekeepers took up positions as the fighting spread from the city’s only Muslim neighbourhood to an area where many Christians reside. CAR has experienced religious and ethnic unrest for more than two years. The BBC’s Max Allaroum in Bangui says Saturday’s violence is some of the worst the city has experienced this year – with the largest death toll. The UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs tweeted that residents were fleeing the clashes, heading to displacement camps in the city. Amadou Rufai, a mayor in the Muslim neighbourhood, told BBC Afrique that militia from the mainly Christian “anti-balaka” militia got involved in the violence – and he feared this would mean the violence could continue.

Headline: Tens of thousands protest in Moldova demanding govt resignation, early elections

Tens of thousands of protesters have flooded the streets of Moldova’s capital, Chisinau, demanding the president and current government resign and early elections be held. The demonstrators have threatened to continue protests until their demands are met. From 30,000 to 50,000 people gathered on the streets of Moldova’s capital on Sunday for the demonstration, according to the organizers, RIA Novosti reported. The protesters waved Moldovan flags and chanted “Victory!”“Moldova!” and “Down with the thieves!” The protest was organized by two opposition parties – the Party of Socialists headed by Igor Dodon and Our Party led by Renato Usaty. The demonstrators called on the government of Prime Minister Valeriu Streletby and leaders of a number of state institutions, including the heads of the central bank, attorney general’s office, and the country’s anti-corruption commission, to step down. They demanded that early parliamentary elections be held no later than March 2016. The calls come after it was discovered that over $1.5 billion had disappeared from three Moldovan banks prior to the 2014 parliamentary elections. The bank fraud wiped out an estimated 1/8th of the country’s GDP.

Headline: Anti-India protests erupt in Nepal as fuel rationing bites

Protesters marched in Nepal’s capital on Monday, carrying an effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing their giant neighbor of imposing an economic blockade and meddling in internal politics over the adoption of a new constitution. Tension between the South Asian nations has spiked since Nepal adopted the charter last week. It has upset southern minority groups, who fear being marginalized in a new federal structure it lays out, dividing their homelands. More than 40 people have been killed in protests in the landlocked Himalayan republic since August. Indian oil trucks stopped crossing into Nepal because of protests in the south, prompting authorities to try to limit use of cars and save fuel. Marchers in Monday’s protest in central Katmandu carried an effigy of Modi and shouted, “Down with Indian expansionism! Down with Modi!” before police scattered them and confiscated the effigy.

Headline: 27 dead in air strike on Yemen wedding party: local official, residents

Headline: Saudi Arabia denies coalition responsible for Yemen wedding attack

A local official and residents said at least 27 people, mostly women or children, were killed on Monday in an air strike on a wedding party in southwest Yemen, but a Saudi-led coalition that has air supremacy over the country strongly denied any role. Residents said two missiles tore through tents used by a man affiliated with the Houthi group for his wedding reception in the village of al-Wahijah, near the Red Sea port city of Al-Mokha. A resident said 12 women, eight children and seven men had died in the attack. A local official put the death toll at 30. Several other people were taken to hospital. Coalition spokesman Brigadier-General Ahmed al-Asseri told Reuters: “There have been no air operations by the coalition in that area for three days. This is totally false news.” “The coalition knows its responsibility and will always acknowledge a mistake if we make it. Take into consideration the chaotic situation in Yemen, with several armed elements and forces active around the country. Also, people sometimes cannot distinguish between canon, mortar and Katyusha (missiles).” It was not the case that “every explosion that happens in Yemen” was caused by the coalition, he added. Al-Wahijah is located in Taiz province, which the Houthis captured in March as they began advancing on the southern port city of Aden, where Hadi was based before he was forced to flee to Saudi Arabia. On Sunday, residents and medics said helicopters flying from Saudi Arabia attacked a village in Yemen’s northern Hajjah province, killing at least 30 people, including three medics who were trying to evacuate victims of a first strike. Saudi authorities dismissed the accounts as “totally false”.

Headline: Biotech Plunge, Fed Speak Sends Wall Street Reeling

U.S. equity markets showed sharp declines Monday as investors digested a deluge of corporate news headlines, and a speech from the New York Fed president who said interest rates are likely to rise this year. As of 2:00 p.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was 285 points lower, or 1.74% to 16032. The S&P 500 declined 46 points, or 2.38% to 1885, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 140 points, or 2.99% to 4546. Health care led all 10 S&P 500 sectors in decline as biotechs plunged 7% on the session, adding to last week’s steep, double-digit losses. U.S. equity markets exercised caution on Monday amid a renewed selloff in biotechnology stocks, which plunged 4.5%, as well as the broad health-care sector, which dropped nearly 3% during the session. Adding to the negative sentiment in the sector, 18 Democratic House members urged their chairman to subpoena Valeant Pharmaceuticals for documents related to price increases in two of its heart drugs. The VIX index, a closely-watched gauge of investor anxiety, touched its highest reading since September 10 after comments from a key Federal Reserve official and disappointing data out of China.

Headline: Mars has flowing liquid water, NASA confirms

NASA has confirmed the existence of flowing liquid salty water on Mars, fueling the possibility of life on the Red Planet. “Today, we’re revolutionizing our understanding of the planet,” said Jim Green, director of planetary science at NASA Headquarters in Washington, during a press conference Monday. “Mars is not the dry, arid planet that we thought of in the past – under certain circumstances, liquid water has been found on Mars.” Speculation has been mounting that NASA’s announcement would involve flowing water. Scientists have long known that there is frozen water at Mars’ poles, but they have never discovered liquid water. The discovery could have huge consequences for future expeditions, including NASA’s goal of sending a manned mission to Mars by the 2030s. Scientists have based their findings on a spectroscopic analysis of the mysterious dark streaks on Mars’ surface called Recurring Slope Lineae (RSL), based on data compiled by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

Headline:  ‘Super typhoon’ Dujuan batters Taiwan

Super-typhoon Dujuan battered Taiwan leaving 24 injured as torrential rain and fierce winds hit Monday evening, while China issued its top alert as the storm approached the mainland. Dujuan struck the island’s northeastern tip earlier than expected after picking up speed as it approached, with more than 7,000 people evacuated in advance. Most of the 24 people hurt suffered minor injuries, the island’s Emergency Operation Center said, many of them hit by flying debris. More than 330,000 homes are without electricity after almost a million lost power at the height of the storm, the emergency centre said. About 2,000 people were spending the night in temporary shelters. Waves crashed along the east coast and the capital Taipei was hit with wind and rain as the typhoon moved south. At 9:00 pm (1300 GMT) Dujuan was 30 kilometres (19 miles) southeast of central Taichung city, the Central Weather Bureau said. The bureau said “virtually the whole island” was at risk of severe wind and rain, with authorities warning downpours could trigger landslides.
