The Scriptures has much to say regarding the economics of the last days. A new world economic system is coming and the signs are everywhere. Silver and Gold is real money and the governments of the world are not only moving away from the dollar but into silver and gold. There has been much on the news within the last few years regarding the trends in the gold and silver market. But did you know that the Word of God actually speaks about silver and gold and hints to the value that the people of the world will find in it in the Last Days? There is a rule in biblical teaching and interpretation that I believe is key. “NEVER SHOUT WHERE THE BIBLE ONLY WHISPERS”. With that said, within the scriptures are some very telling shouting statements regarding the last days and the relationship that people will have to silver and gold. The trends are everywhere you can hardly watch your television set for more than five minutes today without seeing commercials speaking about the debts of the countries and how to protect yourself from these uncertain times with “Silver and Gold”..Hmmm. Is there something beginning to happen here? Lets have a quick dive into the Word of God and see what it has to say.
Revelation 18:11-12 “The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more, cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble” (Revelation 18: 11-12). So it is clear from this portion of scripture that the merchants of the world had been making money hand over fist selling silver and gold to the world and where then weeping over the fact that those things were no longer able to save them from what was coming onto the world. Two things here to point out here. The first is that merchants selling silver and gold according to this portion of scripture where earning a lot of money selling it. and secondly in order for that to have happened there must have been million buying it. this is common sense. So the question is do we see this trend beginning to develop? Moving forward lets dive into another portion of scripture and see what we can learn from it regarding the last days.
Ezekiel 7:19 “They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumbling block of their iniquity” (Ezekiel 7:19) Here we can see a clear picture of the future regarding the coming of the Lord and the wrath that comes upon the earth just prior to Christ’s second coming. The prophet Ezekiel shows a future time when God will remove from the people all hope of the silver and gold having the ability to save them from their problems, and reveals a telling look into the heart of the people’s of the world and what they were putting their trust in. It’s not going to be good for those who trust in anything but the Lord. So here is the question. If the people of the world were putting their trust in silver and gold why were they doing that? Why does the scriptures foretell a time where the world will weep and mourn over the loss of silver and gold and it’s ability to save them? I’ll tell you what i see happening in the future.Silver and Gold are going to skyrocket in price. This is the only sound and logical explanation for a world weeping and mourning over their loss of it and for the world to have put their trust in it. So again this creates for us the ability to have foresight. We were just reading on things that are yet future. But do we see signs that this trend may be on its way to fulfillment? Do we see trends that could cause silver and gold to skyrocket? The answer is abundantly clear!
