Have you seen the evidence concerning the records being broken each year for the hottest temperatures on the Planet along with the mass number of fires burning at the same time?  Did you know Jesus gave us warnings about these same things? I doubt you will find another video showing you the hard facts year after year the intense heat Jesus talked about is pouring down on us.   You want to see hard facts what the glaciers looked like before and after as our planet sees the record heat? After you see these pictures there is little doubt we are in the midst of the birthpains Jesus warned us about.

Jesus also gave us a look at what the last days Church would look like. If you read Revelation chapter 3 you will run across the message to the Church in Laodicea. This is the last Church of the 7 that Jesus sent a message to.

There is no question our generation has reached and is now fulfilling the Laocicea Church period. What ever happen to Christians on fire for Christ. Back in the 70’s I used to run across Christians who were very eager to witness to someone. Over the years I have watched as the Church has declined in numbers and, I very seldom see on fire Christians witnessing for Jesus anymore.  The only ones I see doing witnessing are the Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses but these organizations are giving out a gospel that did not come from Christ. You can read all about them in chapter 7 of my prophecy book.

In 2017, all I see are small pockets of the type of believer that Jesus talked about with the Church of Philadelphia.  Looking out into the world and seeing how slowly be surely faith in Christ is fading away. I now know why Jesus said the following in Luke 18:8 “I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the Earth?  Over the years people have begun to tune out people who talk about Jesus but it is even more reason why the Church needs to be engaged in witnessing for Jesus. We are now on the fact track in the last days lane and the fading fire in Christians has brought us to the LUKE WARM state just as Christ warned. If Jesus were to come to you today and ask you what do you think I think about your walk with me, what would be able to tell Him?  Could you show him via your walk that you have remained on fire or, will He know by your actions in this life you have joined the ranks of the luke warm? Think about it for a moment! How would you feel looking at Christ after He asked you that question only to find that He looked upon your life only to see Him turn His head away from you to spit you out! God forbid this to happen!!!

We are much to close to seeing the rest of the prophecy which have not yet been fulfilled to be playing Christian. Jesus is well aware of who the real on fire flock are. If you even think you are part of the Laocicea Church ask Jesus to forgive you. Ask Him to restore that flame that once burned brightly for Him.  I truly believe my messages to you are coming to a close soon.  I pray that whatever time I have left to witness Christ would touch people like yourself move closer to Christ not further away from Him.

For all of you who read this message today and still are rejecting Jesus’ salvation your day will come when you face Jesus face to face only to find out what people like myself told you was in fact the truth concerning the Messiah Jesus. For those of you who know they are still on fire for Christ, hold on to what you have in Him because He is coming again as He promised He would.  If you haven’t witnessed to anyone in a long time today would be a good time to begin adding fuel to your flame. E-mail my videos and my site link to your friends and family members who don’t know Christ yet and let my work join yours in the same goal which, is lead as many as we can before the Lord calls His Church home.

On the 29th at this post I told you I was going to begin my next prophecy seminar on Nov. 1, 2017 and, that I would not be posting for 3 weeks unless something major happened. I wrapped that post up by saying don’t be surprised to see a major earthquake with in the 3 weeks.   If you take Jesus at His word you would also expect to see what I expect to see. When He warned us these many earthquakes would come He said it for a reason. Don’t you think Christ knew that there would be many people who would see this specific sign and begin to believe what He said?  I truly believe that there have already been many people who have been watching the earthquakes around the world who read Christ’s warning and, this one sign lead them to the other signs Jesus warned about. I am sure there are millions of people who were lead to Christ’s salvation message as one sign lead them to another until they surrendered their life to Christ.  Since my last post on the 29th there have already been 5 major earthquakes!

Let us review the words of Christ concerning the earthquakes in the last days. ⁷ For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. ⁸ All these are the beginning of birthpains (Matthew 24:7-8). Luke 21:: ¹¹There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Did Jesus come right out and say in the last days there would be an increase in earthquakes? No He did not. However, notice as Christ is talking about the last days earthquakes He tells us that they will occur as birthpains. What happens with birthpains?  The womens pains speed up and get much worse before the baby is delivered.  So, in like manner Christ really is showing us we should expect that the last days earthquakes will get much worse and happen faster and faster just like those birthpains of a women.  This is one reason why on the 29th I told you to expect a great earthquake!  Below you will see sample of these birthpains concerning the many earthquakes. 

On what date will the next major earthquake strike? If I knew that I would be Christ which I am not but, what I can tell you is expect more of the same because there is no question this is the generation Jesus warned about when He said, “Very I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.” (Mark 13:30)

By now I am sure most of you saw the news concerning another major attack against Americans here in the USA.  The evil which sprang up from the Middle East will never go away until Jesus Christ returns to Earth.  The best thing Americans can do is learn how to protect yourself and your family from such attacks because it has been proven over and over again we just don’t know when these attack will come or where they will strike next.  For example, when your out of the house and walking around on the streets it would be a good idea not to bury your head in your cell phone. When your head is constantly looking down at your phone you will never see someone coming at you as the sole suspect, identified as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov did.  In the second photo below you will see the path Saipov took to mow down his victims.  I wonder how many of the victims were on their cell phones when the attack happened?

Maybe it is time for the government of the United States to check out what Sean Hannity reported on back in 2009.  I will tell you this, if I were the President of the United States I would send in under cover agents to each one of these camps. If what Hannity reported is true. As President I would send in U.S. troops surround the camps and take everyone of them down before they have a chance to harm any American citizen!  I ask everyone of you who have come to my site to write your government officials demanding these camps be shut down! We are living in evil days and, just like the earthquakes which we do not know where they will hit next  we know these terrorists will in like manner strike again.  Unlike the earthquakes we can do something about these terrorists before they hit us again.

Headline: Hamas leader blames Israel for assassination attempt on security commander

While Gaza sources say ISIS attempted to assasinate Hamas’s internal security forces commander, Tawfiq Abu Naim, as revenge for arresting ISIS militants and supporters, it didn’t stop Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh from accusing Israel of the botched hit, claiming it did so in an attempt to sabotage their reconciliation with Fatah. “Through these crimes, Israel is trying to dissuade Hamas from its ways and its adherence to the rights and struggle of the Palestinian people,” Haniyeh said while visiting Abu Naim at the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Meanwhile, sources in the Gaza Strip contradicted Haniyeh, saying the main assesment in the strip is that the Islamic State is responsible for the attack. According to sources in Gaza, ISIS wanted revenge on Hamas, and on Abu Naim in particular, over a wave of arrests of ISIS affiliated militants directed by the Gaza terror group and led by the internal security commander. However, at least on the declarative level, other Hamas officials also said that they view Israel as responsible for the assasination attempt, claiming that it sought to derail the reconciliation agreement reached between Hamas and Fatah.

Headline: Yemen army advance towards Saada after clashes with Houthi militias

“All roads lead to Saada” was the slogan the Yemeni army raised as they continue to make advances at the border governorate of al-Jawf, a Houthi stronghold. Military sources confirmed that the recent advances made by the Yemeni army against the Houthi militias will enable them to join the front in Saada. This will further tighten the grip on the Houthis who left the province towards Sanaa to control the capital with their ally, ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Since taking control of the capital, the Houthis and their allies lost large areas that were under their control in Yemen.

Headline: Planned bridge to connect Saudi Arabia with Egypt

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman announced Tuesday his intention to create a new high-tech mega city in western Saudi Arabia, called NEOM, for a cost of $500 billion. According to the plans, the Saudi kingdom intends to erect a bridge passing over the Red Sea and linking NEOM to Egypt, reported American news site Bloomberg, a project Israel may have to assent to for it to go forward. The creation of the bridge, set to span 10 kilometers and allow passage for both cars and a train, was made possible after Egypt transferred ownership of the Sanafir and Tiran islands of the Red Sea to Saudi Arabia. The bridge, much ballyhooed in the past, now returned to world headlines following Prince bin Salman’s announcement f the impending construction of NEOM. “This is a project administered by Mohammad bin Salman, the strongest man in Saudi Arabia. He’s spearheading a plan that’s looking many, many years ahead into the future. It contains economic development that goes beyond merely oil. It’s a 500 billion dollar investment, and only a country like Saudi Arabia can afford it,” explained Meital.

Headline: Iraq launches new offensives against Kurds

Headline: Iraq sets deadline for Kurds to quit Turkey border post

At 6 a.m. on Thursday, Iraqi armored vehicles and artillery, backed by infantry and Iranian- backed Shi’ite militias, launched an attack on Kurdish Peshmerga in northern Iraq near the border with Syria and Turkey. The attack is aimed at capturing this strategic area from the Kurdistan Regional Government. There have also been reports of clashes and shelling on the road from Erbil to Kirkuk where Iraqi forces face off against Kurdish Peshmerga 45 km. south of the KRG’s capital. The battles come after a momentous 10 days in Iraq that saw Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) take over large swaths of territory as Peshmerga withdrew from Kirkuk and Sinjar. Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has been on a marathon series of meetings in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey and Iran, beginning on October 22.On Wednesday, the Kurdistan Regional Government offered to freeze the results of the September 25 independence referendum, which had angered Baghdad and Western allies. The KRG called for dialogue with Baghdad. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert welcomed the statement, noting “calm and dialogue are steps forward.” However less than 24 hours later, the Kurdistan Region Security Council said it was “alarmed by intelligence signaling an imminent attack by Iraqi forces and Iranian-backed Popular Mobilization Forces in Northwest of Mosul.” The council pointed at Iranian forces leaders Hadi al-Ameri and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as the instigators of planned “unprovoked attacks.”

Headline: 10 Dead in Ethiopia After Security Forces Fire on Protesters

At least 10 people have been killed and 20 others wounded during violent protests Thursday in the town of Ambo, in Ethiopia’s Oromia region, after federal security forces fired on the demonstrators. The latest protest — which follows on more than a year of deadly protests in the region between November 2015 and December 2016 — was triggered by recent shortages of sugar. The local head of communications, Gadisa Desalenge, told VOA that the federal and special elite “Agazi” forces, who were deployed to the area early Thursday, were responsible for the deaths. Desalenge also told VOA that some of the protesters, “infuriated by the killings,” set several trucks on fire. VOA Horn of Africa service contacted the Ethiopian government for comment, but so far has not received a reply.

Headline: Bomb attack kills one Bahraini policeman, wounds eight

Militants attacked a Bahraini police bus near the Jidhafs area outside the capital Manama, killing one policeman and wounding eight others, the interior ministry said on Friday. The attack targeted the bus on the Khalifa bin Salman highway, the ministry said, adding that the militant group used a handmade bomb. “Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances of this premeditated terrorist attack and arrest the group involved,” the ministry said in a statement on its website. Headline: Israel launches retaliatory strikes on Syrian artillery positions

The IDF hit three Syrian regime artillery positions Saturday following five projectiles that were launched towards Israel earlier in the morning. Three of the five projectiles landed in open territory in Israel’s northern Golan Heights, causing no damage or injuries. “Even if this is spillover, this is an exceptional event and the continuation of such events will only exacerbate Israel’s response,” the army said in a statement, adding that “the IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm the sovereignty Of the state of Israel and her citizens. The Syrian regime is responsible for all that is happening on its territory.” Syria’s SANA state news agency reported that the Israeli shelling came after rebels launched mortar shells “upon the instructions of the Israeli entity” which gave the IDF a “pretext to carry out its aggression.” The Syrian army added the shelling caused material damage and warned of “dangerous repercussions of such hostile acts” adding it holds Israel “fully responsible for the outcomes of that aggression, regardless of the flimsy pretexts.”

Headline: Lieberman: Golan shelling was not erratic, but ordered by Nasrallah

The five shells that exploded on the Israeli Golan Friday – far from spilling over from Syrian warfare – were fired deliberately on the direct orders of Hizballah chief Hassan Nasrallah, unbeknownst to Bashar Assad. This charge was leveled by Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman at a meeting of his Yisrael Beteinu faction Monday in Jerusalem. Headline: Hamas leader’s visit to Iran defies Israeli condition on Palestinian unity

A top Hamas official defiantly rejected Israel’s conditions for recognizing Hamas-Palestinian Authority unity, noting that the very act he was committing — an official visit to Iran — went against the conditions. “Our presence in Iran is the practical denial of the third precondition — cutting ties with Iran,” said Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy chief of the terrorist organization controlling the Gaza Strip, according to Reuters, which quoted Iranian news wires. The Trump administration has encouraged the unity talks — while also embracing Israel’s conditions — seeing the Palestinian Authority’s return to control in Gaza as key to advancing peace talks. US President Donald Trump’s top negotiator, Jason Greenblatt, decried Arouri’s defiance in posts Monday on Twitter. “Hamas, which has only brought ruin and misery to Palestinians, now begs Iran for help and again vows to destroy Israel,” Greenblatt said. “Palestinians deserve so much better than this. We must find a better path forward toward peace and prosperity.”

Headline: 8 killed in south Yemen attack on military base

Three Yemeni soldiers and five assailants were killed in an attack on a military base in the southern province of Abyan on Monday, a security source said. A car rigged with explosives carrying five men pulled up to a military base in the district of Mudiya in Abyan, the source told AFP on condition of anonymity. Four men wearing explosive belts ran out of the car and toward the base, and were all shot dead. The vehicle then exploded outside of the base, killing the driver and three soldiers from a UAE-backed contingent in the Yemeni army.

Headline: Militants kill Egyptian security forces in desert shoot-out

More than 50 Egyptian security personnel have died during a clash with suspected Islamist militants. The militants opened fire on the group during a raid on their hideout near the Bahariya oasis in the Western Desert, the interior ministry said. Security forces are understood to have gone into the desert following a tip-off about a possible hideout. Fifteen militants also died in the attack.A security source quoted by local news outlets said their convoy came under attack by militants using rocket-propelled grenades and explosive devices. The situation was reportedly made worse for the security forces by the attackers’ familiarity with the area, while the commanding officer was unable to call for land and air reinforcements due to poor telecommunications in the desert. In total, 53 members of the security service died, sources told the BBC.

Headline: Kurds win Syrian oil under secret US-Russian deal – prize for Raqqa

The U.S.-led coalition said allied fighters captured Syria’s largest oil field from the Islamic State group on Sunday, marking a major advance against the extremists in an area coveted by pro-government forces. With IS in retreat, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian government have been in a race to secure parts of the oil-rich Deir el-Zour province along the border with Iraq. The SDF, with air support from the U.S.-led coalition, said Sunday it captured the Al-Omar field in a “swift and wide military operation.” It said some militants have taken cover in oil company houses nearby, where clashes are underway. The U.S.-led coalition confirmed the SDF had retaken the oil field. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said pro-government forces retreated from the area around Al-Omar field after coming under heavy fire from IS. The SDF said government forces are three kilometers (two miles) away from the fields.

Headline: Iraq builds up forces near Kurdish oil export pipeline

Iraqi forces are deploying tanks and artillery near a Kurdish-held area of northern Iraq where a section of a Kurdish oil export pipeline is located, as well as land crossings to Turkey and Syria, security sources said on Monday. The buildup is taking place northwest of Mosul, an official from the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) security council said. A Iraqi government security advisor said taking control of the land crossings was part of measures planned by Baghdad.

It added that many PMU members were native Iraqis who made “enormous sacrifices to defend their country and the Iraqi people.”

Headline: Afghan suicide mosque attacks kill scores of worshippers

Some 60 people have been killed in two separate attacks on mosques in Afghanistan, officials say. A gunman entered a Shia Muslim mosque in Kabul before opening fire and detonating an explosive, killing at least 39 worshippers. An attack on a Sunni Muslim mosque in Ghor province killed 20 people. So-called Islamic State (IS) said it carried out the attack on Kabul’s Imam Zaman mosque, but provided no evidence for the claim. The group has previously targeted Shia mosques across Afghanistan. The new attacks bring to at least 176 the number of people killed in bomb attacks across the country this week.

Headline: Report suggests Qatar transferring ISIS militants from Iraq and Syria to Libya

ISIS militants have allegedly begun to regroup in south Libya with Qatar’s help after the Gulf state was accused of transferring hundreds of fighters from Syria and Iraq to Libya, a UAE-based newspaper reported on Saturday. Military sources told Alittihad newspaper that the move is an effort to turn the south into a hotbed for extremists after ISIS took severe blows in Syria and Iraq. According to Libyan military officials speaking to the newspaper, ISIS fighters began to leave fighting areas through Turkey and are headed to Libya. The newspaper added that Doha, which is accused by the anti-terror quartet of supporting terrorist groups including groups in Libya that suffer from political divisions, is behind this activity.

Headline: 13 Killed in Nigeria Suicide Bombing

A suicide bomber has killed 13 other people in the restive northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri on Sunday. The Sunday evening attack also injured five people. Two subsequent suicide bombings injured more than a dozen others. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks, but officials suspect Boko Haram the militant group is behind the violence. Boko Haram has killed more than 20,000 people during in its eight-year insurgency against the Nigerian government in a bid to create a strict Islamic state in the majority Muslim north. Maiduguri, the capital of the state of Borno, is the birthplace of Boko Haram.

Catalonia said on Monday it was confident all officials including police would defy attempts by Madrid to enforce direct rule on the region, in an escalating dispute that has raised fears of unrest among Spain’s European allies. The Spanish government has invoked special constitutional powers to fire the regional government and force a new election to counter an independence drive that has rattled the economy. A vote in the Senate to implement direct rule is due on Friday. But the leaders of the secessionist campaign said a disputed referendum on Oct. 1 gave them the mandate to claim independence from the rest of Spain. “It’s not that we will refuse (orders). It is not a personal decision. It is a seven million-person decision,” Catalonia’s foreign affairs chief Raul Romeva told BBC radio.

Headline: 5 dead after Typhoon Lan hits Japan

Typhoon Lan traveled out to sea early Monday after hitting Japan’s east coast, killing at least five people. The powerful storm brought 100 mph winds as it struck Shizuoka Prefecture and dumped more than 30 inches of rain in 48 hours, beginning Sunday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. A gust of 164.5 mph was recorded in Okayama province.More than 200,000 people were ordered to evacuate by the country’s Fire and Disaster Management Agency, with 2.2 million more homes under advisory to evacuate. The typhoon, which struck Taiwan before turning north toward Japan, was the equivalent of a Category 2 hurricane, according to the Saffir-Simpson Wind Scale.

If I asked you to read the first two articles and tell me is there any importance to these articles what would you say? If you are one of the Lord’s children and are really walking with Christ then more than likely you would be on the watch!  If that is the case these two articles no doubt would show you prophecy for the last days is under way.  Satan is no longer working in the shadows like he did 30 or 40 years ago but, is exposing his deeds right in front of everyone. For example, 30 or 40 years ago who would have thought we would see Satanic Churches in America.  30 or 40 years ago you would be hard pressed to even find anyone who would talk about a Satanic Church. Who would have thought America would see the day come when Christmas trees, Jesus picture, crosses, even Christmas nativity scenes were ordered removed.   If someone 30 or 40 years ago would have said we would see the day when the Ten Commandments would be forced out hardly anyone would have believed that would happen, they would just laugh it off like that would be impossible in America.  Well here we are those 30 or 40 years have passed and all the things we thought would never happen are taking place in this generation.  Jesus warned us that Satan was going to attack as many as possible. Look at what 1 Peter 5:8 says. Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 

The generation Jesus warned would be the last generation  is already here!  Faith in Christ has been on the decline for a long time now in many nations and now it is happening in America as well but for anyone who really knows Christ and is in His word we have been inspecting this to take place. Look at what Jesus stated about this?  Luke 18:8 ⁸I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?  This scripture by itself shows the sign of the times!  Below I posted a few of the examples of what I have been talking about. 

What you see below are only a few of the many reports showing us how Christ and the Christian faith is slowing being removed from the American society.  The removal of Christ isn’t the only sign of the times. In the second title below you see, Israel has attacked a Syrian position.  One of the prophecies that has not been completely fulfilled yet is the Isaiah 17:1 prophecy were we see Damascus would be left in a ruinous help.  Israel and Syria are getting closer to fulfilling this warning from Isa. 17:1.  This will be a major deal in the news when it happens so I don’t think you will miss it. However, many who don’t know Christ or this warning will see that news and not even be aware a major prophecy for the last days has been completed.  

If faith is vanishing away why are people like myself spending so much time posting news that shows Bible prophecy is being fulfilled?  Because we are running out of time and we are trying to reach as many people as possible with the Good News as we can. What is the Good News? You don’t have to be afraid, you have no reason to fear or, for that matter even be alarmed when Jesus Christ is in you.  When Jesus Christ enters into you at your request He will make His home in you forever. Expect changes to happen in your life. Whatever you do if you do ask Christ into your life keep as close to Christ as you can because these last days will get much harder but the Lord will never leave us. Headline: Russia agrees to keep Iran, Hezbollah forces away from Israeli border

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told Israel that Moscow has agreed to expand a buffer zone along the Israeli-Syrian border, where Iranian and Hezbollah forces will not be allowed to enter, Arab media reported Wednesday. The statement attributed to an Israeli diplomatic official by London-based Asharq Al-Awsat said that Russia had refused the Israeli request for a 40 kilometers (25 miles) buffer zone, but expressed willingness to extend a 10-15 kilometer off-limits zone. Russia, which views Iran as a key player in resolving the crisis in Syria, has repeatedly emphasized the importance of the role that the Islamic Republic plays in the war-torn country. As the war in Syria seems to be winding down in Assad’s favor due to Moscow’s intervention, Israel fears that Iran will help Hezbollah produce accurate precision-guided missiles and aid Hezbollah and other Shi’ite militias to strengthen their foothold in the Golan Heights. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly criticized a US-Russian cease-fire deal in Syria, saying that it does not include any provisions to stop Iranian expansion in the area. Russia is reported to have rejected a request from Jerusalem for a 40-kilometer buffer zone between the Golan Heights and any Iranian-backed militias in Syria, only agreeing to make sure that no Shi’ite fighter would come closer than 5 kilometers from Israel.

Headline: Israel Strikes Target in Syria in Response to Spillover Fire

The Israeli military struck targets in Syria after errant fire from the war raging there hit the Israeli Golan Heights, a military spokesperson said on Thursday, a day after Iran’s military chief warned against Israeli incursions in Syria. Local reports said that Israel struck a Syrian artillery position near border town of Quneitra. Earlier, a projectile fell in an open area in the northern Israeli Golan Heights as a result of the Syrian civil war. The incident caused neither casualties nor damage. On Wednesday, two rocket-alert sirens were sounded in the Golan Heights in response to internal fighting in Syria. Iran’s military chief Mohammad Baqeri on Wednesday pledged to fight Israel and Sunni insurgents during a visit to Damascus, and discussed ways to deepen cooperation with the Syrian military. “It is not acceptable for the Zionist regime to violate Syria anytime it wants,” Baqeri said.

An Iraqi court has ordered the arrest of the vice-president of the Kurdistan Region for calling troops sent to Kirkuk this week “occupying forces”. A Supreme Judicial Council spokesman said the court believed Kosrat Rasul’s remarks were an incitement to violence. He made them in a statement condemning the withdrawal of Peshmerga fighters from Kirkuk and other disputed areas. Baghdad launched an operation to retake them on Monday, three weeks after the Kurds held an independence referendum. People living in areas under Kurdish control overwhelmingly backed secession but Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi declared the vote illegal.

Headline: Turkey’s Erdogan says may shut Iraqi border any moment

President Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey may shut its border with northern Iraq “at any moment” after closing its air space to the region, Hurriyet newspaper reported on Thursday, reviving a threat first made after Kurds there voted for independence. “We have completely closed our air space to the regional government in northern Iraq,” the paper cited Erdogan as telling reporters on his plane returning from a trip to Poland. “Talks are continuing on what will be done regarding the land (border) … We have not shut the border gates yet but this could happen too at any moment,” he added. Turkey announced on Monday it was closing its air space to the semi-autonomous Kurdish region and said it would work to hand control of the main border crossing into the region to the central Iraqi government.

Headline: Wave of Taliban suicide attacks on Afghan forces kills at least 74

At least 74 people have been killed in a wave of Taliban suicide attacks targeting police compounds and government facilities in the south, east and west of Afghanistan. Among those killed was a provincial police chief. Scores of people, including police officers and civilians, were also wounded. The deputy interior minister, Murad Ali Murad, said the attacks on Tuesday had been the biggest this year. He told a press conference in Kabul that 71 people had been killed by insurgents in Ghazni and Paktia provinces. In southern Paktia province, 21 police officers and 20 civilians were killed when suicide car bombers targeted a police compound in the provincial capital of Gardez. Among the wounded were 48 police officers and 110 civilians. The provincial police chief, Toryalai Abdyani, was killed in the Paktia attack, Murad confirmed. The interior ministry said that after the two cars had exploded in Gardez, five assailants with suicide belts had tried to storm the compound but had been killed by Afghan security forces. Gardez city hospital reported receiving at least 130 people wounded in the attack, a health ministry spokesman, Waheed Majroo, said.

Who were these men and how did they know the Americans would be there that day?The Niger attack appears to be the work of the Islamic State of the Sahel, a splinter group of extremists loyal to the Islamic State group who are based just across the border in Mali, according to interviews with U.S. officials and authorities here in the vast Sahel region bordering the Sahara Desert. It is led by Adnan Abu Walid who built ties with various extremists before forming his own group.

Headline: At Least Four Dead in Anti-Government Protests in Togo

At least four people have been killed across the small West African nation of Togo in clashes between security forces and protesters demanding an end to the rule of President Faure Gnassingbe. Security Minister Colonel Damehame Yark said Wednesday that one person was shot dead in the capital, Lome, while three others were killed in Togo’s second-largest city of Sokode, more than 300 kilometers north of Lome. Yark says 60 demonstrators were arrested in Wednesday’s clashes. Opposition leaders have planned two days of demonstrations against Gnassingbe, who has been in power since 2005, succeeding his late father President Gnassingbé Eyadema. Protests have broken out across Togo since August over the current president’s proposal to amend the constitution by removing presidential term limits, which could potentially allow him to stay in office until at least 2030.

Headline: Catalonia crisis: Spain moves to suspend autonomy

Spain is to start suspending Catalonia’s autonomy from Saturday, as the region’s leader threatens to declare independence. The government said ministers would meet to activate Article 155 of the constitution, allowing it to take over running of the region. Catalonia’s leader said the region’s parliament would vote on independence if Spain continued “repression”. Catalans voted to secede in a referendum outlawed by Spain. Some fear the latest moves could spark further unrest after mass demonstrations before and since the ballot on 1 October. Spain’s supreme court declared the vote illegal and said it violated the constitution, which describes the country as indivisible.

Headline: Israeli air force destroys Syrian anti-aircraft battery in retaliatory strike

The Israeli Air Force attacked and destroyed a Syrian SA-5 anti-aircraft battery east of Damascus Monday morning after it fired a surface-to-air missile at Israeli jets. The SA-5 missile battery, which was stationed some 50 kilometers east of the Syrian capital, fired at Israeli jets that were on a routine aerial reconnaissance flight in Lebanese airspace, IDF Spokesman Brig.Gen. Ronen Manelis stated. “We see the Syrian regime as responsible and see these missiles as a clear Syrian provocation, and it will not be accepted,” Manelis stated, adding that while Israel has no intention to enter into the civil war in Syria, Israel will react to all provocations. Manelis told journalists that Russia was updated about the incident, in which no Israeli jets were harmed, in real time, and that it will be brought up during the visit of the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu who is set to land in Israel in the coming hours.

Headline: Report: Israel launched strike in Sinai hours after rocket attack

Israeli sorties bombed targets in the Sinai Peninsula Sunday evening in retaliation for two rockets launched at Israel from the Egyptian territory hours earlier, according to Tuesday report in the London-based newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed. One of the rockets exploded in open space in the Eshkol Regional Council near Gaza and was located following the IDF’s searches of the area. No casualties were reported in the attack for which ISIS took responsibility. According to the report, Israeli jets appeared only once the Egyptian air force completed its own strikes in the areas of Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid in northern Sinai, as President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s military seeks to expunge terrorists from the peninsula. Despite taking responsibility for the rocket launches, ISIS made no mention on its official news agency, Amaq of an Israeli retaliatory assault.

Headline: Lebanese Prime Minister joins coalition government with Hezbollah

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri will join a coalition government with Hezbollah, conceding defeat and handing the terrorist organization more political power than it ever had before. Hariri, in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica while on a visit to Rome to meet with his Italian counterpart, Paolo Gentiloni, said that he and the Shi’ite jihadist group have “put aside” their differences to serve the country. “The prime minister only thinks of the good of Lebanon, of finding the formulas and making the agreements that allow us to handle the problems of the country,” he was quoted as saying. Thousands of Lebanese Shia rely on Hezbollah – deeply embedded into politics and society – for social, medical and financial support. The U.S. military said Monday that it had conducted its first-ever raids against the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) in Yemen, a country ravaged by more than two years of war. U.S. Central Command, the body that oversees U.S. forces in the Middle East, said in a statement that its strikes had killed dozens of members of ISIS at training camps.“U.S. forces killed dozens of ISIS members in a strike on two ISIS training camps…in Al-Bayda governorate, Yemen, disrupting the organization’s attempts to train new fighters,” U.S. Central Command said in a statement. “ISIS used the camps to train militants to conduct terror attacks using AK-47s, machine guns, rocket-propelled grenade launchers and endurance training.”Before Monday’s strikes, the U.S. military had exclusively conducted drone strikes and commando raids against the other prominent jihadi group in Yemen: Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP.

Headline: Militants Rob Bank, Attack Church in Egypt’s Sinai; 7 Dead

In a brazen daytime attack, about a dozen Islamic militants robbed a local bank, lobbed grenades and traded gunfire with security forces guarding an unused church in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula on Monday, killing seven people, including three civilians, officials said. The militants drove into the city center of el-Arish in the morning, then split into two groups. One group fired rocket-propelled grenades and traded gunfire with the guards outside the Church of Saint George, security and military officials said. Services at the church were suspended months ago, following a wave of attacks on Christians in Sinai. The church attack was meant as a distraction from the bank, where the second group of militants first shot and killed the bank guards, then stormed in and emptied its safe. The heavy security and military forces deployed in the city put up little resistance. The attacks left three civilians, including a child, three guards and one soldier dead and wounded another 15 people, including women and children, the officials said. The two groups of attackers were caught on camera while fleeing the site of the clashes in a stolen pickup and three motorcycles.“They looted the entire bank and left explosive devices inside,” a senior security official said. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because th y were not authorized to talk to reporters.

Headline: Islamic State defeated in its Syrian capital Raqqa

U.S.-backed militias in Syria declared victory over Islamic State in its capital Raqqa on Tuesday, raising flags over the last jihadist footholds after a four-month battle. The fighting was over and the alliance of Kurdish and Arab militias was clearing the city’s stadium of mines and any remaining militants, said Rojda Felat, commander of the Raqqa campaign for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). A formal declaration of victory in Raqqa will soon be made, once the city has been cleared of mines and any possible Islamic State sleeper cells, said SDF spokesman Talal Selo. The fall of Raqqa, where Islamic State staged euphoric parades after its string of lightning victories in 2014, is a potent symbol of the jihadist movement’s collapsing fortunes.

Headline: US threatens to shoot down any Iraqi warplane targeting Kurds

Just after two o’clock on Sunday morning in Baghdad the Prime Minister of Iraq ordered the Iraq Security Forces to “secure bases and federal institutions in Kirkuk province.” Overnight confusion along the frontline between the Iraqis and Peshmerga of the Kurdistan Regional Government led to clashes which destroyed several vehicles and a chaotic situation that is ongoing south of Kirkuk. The Iraqi government has been threatening the Kurdish region since a September 25th Kurdistan independence referendum. Baghdad has also sought to have the borders of the Kurdish region closed and has closed the airports in preparation for an attack to secure oil fields and strategic facilities around Kirkuk. Before the official announcement of the operation numerous Iraqi media showed armored columns of vehicles from various Iraqi units, including the Federal Police, the emergency response ERD, Counter-Terrorism forces (ISOF) and the Hashd al-Shaabi or Iranian-backed Shia militias. The 9th armored division and other regular Iraqi army units, many of which participated in the recent Hawija operation, were also on the move. Although Iraqi media claimed major advances against the Kurds, the situation on the ground was more unclear.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged European Union leaders Tuesday to simply say whether or not they want to admit Turkey as an EU member. “I would like to hear a clear declaration,” Erdogan said on a visit to Poland. “If you want to accept Turkey, just do it. If you don’t want to, just tell that.” Turkey’s decades of efforts to join the 28-member European club appear to be stalled by the government’s harsh reaction to a coup attempt last year. Tens of thousands of people have been arrested or dismissed from their jobs in Turkey since the July 15, 2016, coup attempt. Polish President Andrzej Duda said Poland backs Turkey’s effort to join the EU. “Poland has supported and supports today Turkey’s efforts to join the European Union,” Duda said as she stood alongside Erdogan. “Turkey is an especially important EU partner in the area of security.”

Suicide bombers and gunmen have stormed a police training centre in the eastern Afghan city of Gardez, killing at least 41 people. Some 110 civilians and 48 police were injured. The interior ministry said the local police chief was among the dead. The violence at the Gardez police headquarters in Paktia province began when a suicide bomber detonated a car filled with explosives, before a number of gunmen launched an assault on the building. Security forces battled the militants for several hours. At least five of the assailants were killed, the interior ministry said in a statement. The compound contains the headquarters of the national police, border police and Afghan National Army. The victims included “women, students and police”, Gardez public health director Hedayatullah Hamidi told AFP news agency.

As angry protesters gathered near the scene of the attack, Somalia’s government blamed the al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab extremist group for what it called a “national disaster.” However, Africa’s deadliest Islamic extremist group, which often targets high-profile areas of the capital, had yet to comment. Al-Shabab earlier this year vowed to step up attacks after both the Trump administration and Somalia’s recently elected president announced new military efforts against the group. The Mogadishu bombing is one of the deadliest attacks in sub-Saharan Africa, larger than the Garissa University attack in Kenya in 2015 and the U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.
