There are to many conflicting things given by Mr. Widener. Widener said when Jesus was talking about the Temple being destroyed he was standing on the Temple Mount. That is not what the bible says. According to the New Testament, Jesus spoke about the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem while he was sitting on the Mount of Olives. This event is described in the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew 24:1-2, Mark 13:1-2, and Luke 21:5-6). After leaving the Temple, Jesus and his disciples went to the Mount of Olives, where they could see the Temple from a distance. It was from there that Jesus prophesied about the Temple’s destruction and the events leading up to it. The Word of God is very clear where Jesus was when he taught the disciples about the Temple being destroyed. The disciples looking at the Temple from the Mount of Olives is not standing on the Mount! It is said that the distance between the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives is about a half mile. This is far beyond what Widener has suggested. Widener also stated the Antichrist could proclaim he is god while standing on that holy place which Widener points to that being where the Dome of Spirits is. That may sound correct but let us now read where Paul said the Antichrist would reveal himself. 11 Thess. 2: 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Notice Paul told us the Antichrist would sit in the Temple. According Widener’s view he said from 1537 + 483 years = the year 2020 is when the 7 year tribulation began. That means we have already passed the half way mark in the seven year tribulation. If you ever read the book of Revelation you have known the first 3 1/2 years would be filled with horrible things of which have not seen yet and we are no where near seeing that yet. Okay we had a covid pandemic but we also saw the Spanish flu in 1918 but that didn’t mean the end was at hand. The nation of Israel wasn’t even born then so it couldn’t show us it was the end. It seems a stretch to call what we have seen since 2020 the likes of what Jesus shows us for those first 3 1/2 years. Also keep in mind, after the first 3 1/2 year is when God’s wrath starts to be poured out. We are already in year 2024 past the first 3 1/2 years so we should be witnessing God’s wrath already. Anyone who knows the bible knows full well God’s wrath has not begun yet. It is a fact, if God’s wrath started already the Church has to be gone as Paul told us the Church is not appointed to God’s wrath! Widener’s time line is way out of line. If any of you believe in what is suggested by Widener’s view I want you to show me where you have seen the following in the news which God showed us is part of his wrath.

The great earthquake: A massive earthquake, described as unprecedented in magnitude, occurs during the judgment of the seventh seal (Revelation 6:12) and again during the pouring out of the seventh bowl (Revelation 16:18). The sun turning black, the moon turning blood-red, and the stars falling from the sky: These celestial events are described as occurring before the great and terrible day of the Lord’s wrath (Revelation 6:12-13). The appearance of various beasts and demonic entities: Throughout Revelation, there are descriptions of monstrous creatures and spiritual forces aligned with evil, which are seen as part of the divine judgment upon the wicked. None of these things have begun yet!
I do believe Widener is searching for the truth and he is honest by suggesting he doesn’t know for sure. One thing is clear, come March if the Antichrist doesn’t go up to the Temple Mount and tell the world he is god everything Widener has suggested will fall to the waste side. Don’t be so quick to believe someone’s new idea on what it is the Lord is teaching us. I for one stay on sound doctrine. I for one believe the 7 year tribulation hasn’t even begun yet and the man of sin is still at least 3 1/2 years away from going into that rebuilt Temple as Paul warned he would to proclaim he is god.

In our world today the dominant religions are Islam and Christianity and, as of late Christianity has been under attack and as you see below, Islam is growing even though we see violence being spread by Islam. Case in point Islamic hatred towards the Jews has caused yet another war between Israel and Islamic backed Hamas. He will abandon the Islamic faith, because he will proclaim himself as God and force the world to bow down to him. I believe this is why we’re seeing such a push for the Islamic faith and the many problems, such as the current war involving Islam against another faith, i.e. the Jews, or anyone who doesn’t believe in the Islamic rule.

I hope you are taking notice the number of reports coming out weekly talking about how Israel needs to be divided. Anyone who doesn’t know Jesus as their savior yet needs to understand Israel even as strong as she is now will be over run by the Antichrist and the Jews will be scattered and the land divided. If you reject Jesus as your savior and, you are still alive during the tribulation you may see this dividing of the land take place. I say may see it because, if you reject Jesus you will miss the rapture of the Church and, most of the people living when the Church is taken into heaven will be killed during that tribulation period. In any case at the end of the tribulation Jesus will return physically to Earth and put an end to the Antichrist’s rule and set up His Kingdom ruling from Jerusalem. While you are still alive you have hope because you still have a chance to take Jesus as your Messiah and savior. However, once the Church is taken at the rapture your path to Jesus will be much much harder.
We know from the Revelation of Christ that those left behind when the Church is gone will have to die for Christ. See Revelation 20:4 “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
You may think this is a joke and what Jesus warned will never happen but this is exactly what Jesus warned us about the last days. Read Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Unlike what happened to Noah’s generation who were all killed by the flood, in these last days there will be no worldwide flood. What is coming instead is a 7 year tribulation and by the end of that 7 year tribulation hardly anyone will be left alive. The first 3 and a half years will be the set up period where the Antichrist will come on the scene and appear to be the man who brings peace to our world. More than likely he will play a huge role in allowing the Jews to build their Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.However, 3 and a half years into the tribulation the Antichrist will show his true colors. What does that mean? It means that Satan who takes over the Antichrist will be ruling on Earth.
In the middle of the tribulation Satan in the form of the Antichrist will stop all Jewish sacrifices on the Temple Mount and tell the world his is god. It is at that point Satan will go after anyone who does not bow down to him and take his mark as warned by Jesus in Revelation chapter 13. The only way you will be able to escape this last 3 years of the tribulation is to be covered by the blood of the Lamb which is Jesus Christ. I would encourage any one who is reading this post to ask Jesus into your life now. If you are having a hard time now without Jesus I can’t imagine how you will be able to handle any part of the tribulation knowing what is coming during that 7 years.
