Just the other day I had a person e-mail me a question asking me if Revelation 9:14-16 was talking about a demon army or a real army made up of real people? The best thing we can do is to read the word of God and then watch the current events to see if what is written in the bible is coming to pass exactly as it is written. One thing to notice in Revelation 16:12 is the Lord reveals to us the kings from the East are coming He does not say demons . Read the scriptures below and then I will connect the dots for you.
Prophecy Sign: 200,000,000 Million-Man Army from the East
“It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ‘Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.’ And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number” (Revelation 9:14-16).
“The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East” (Revelation 16:12).
So, now that you know what the bible says can we see the evidence that what He said has come to pass? It no coincidence that in the news we witness a report telling us that China has announced they have formed a army exactly the same number as Jesus stated in the Revelation. Take a look at the news below.
Now let us toss in Russia in the mix because they to are mentioned in prophecy coming against Israel as seen in the Ezekiel 38 war. Notice the report below.
Now let me tie all this together for you to show you what has been warned to us in these prophecies is coming to pass.
Preparations for Battle
The Bible predicts that the preparations for the attack of China upon the Middle East and Israel involve a combination of human and angelic events. In chapters 9 and 16 of Revelation, there are highly symbolic descriptions of angels affecting the area around the Euphrates River in the last days. It is primarily the reference to this river, which ties the two prophecies together and makes them understandable. If we couple these passages with what the Bible says about the armies moving toward the Middle East from out of the north and east at the time of the end, then the prophecy in Revelation 16 becomes relatively simple to interpret.
In Revelation 16, John describes the seven bowls of wrath that will be poured out at the very end of this age. One verse in that chapter has special application to how the armies from the east will gain easy access to the land of Israel at the end:
“And the sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river, Euphrates, and its water was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” Rev. 16:12
The events of Revelation 16 are predicted to occur late in the last half of Daniel’s Seventieth Week, near the time of the end of the Great Tribulation, and just before the Kingdom of God arises on the Earth. It is during those final days that the armies of the east will move toward the west and engage in the battles that will already be taking place in the Middle East between the West and Russia. Daniel prophesied of the initial mobilization of these eastern forces as being “tidings” out of the east (Dan. 11:44), but only in the book of Revelation do we find the full picture of what will occur as a result of this attack.
The Apostle John says that the great Euphrates River will actually dry up and disappear to provide the eastern armies with a clear path to the Middle East and Israel. It is interesting that in our day the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers are significantly losing water due to massive droughts taking place throughout the Mesopotamian Valley (see Tigris and Euphrates Rivers are Drying Up). This climate change may be a prelude to the Angel completely drying up the Euphrates at the end by pouring out the sixth bowl of wrath upon the river. Thus, after the Antichrist’s armies defeat the Syrian and Egyptian forces as a result of their attacks on Israel and also after the Russian alliance counterattacks through the Middle East and the battles rage, the nations to the Far East of Israel represent the third major front in this war.
Is it just a coincidence that in our day a nation has arisen in the Far East, which is determined to become a military superpower along with the Russian bloc and the Western Alliance? The Bible definitely predicts that three large military powers will meet and do battle in and around the small land of Israel. Russia, the Western Alliance, and China are the three major forces which hold the military balance of power today. Despite the breakup of the Soviet bloc nations and the easing of the old Cold War tensions, the majority of all international problems in our generation can still be traced to these three powers or their allies vying for resources, political influence, and territory.
When the Empire of the Beast and the Russian alliance fully engage in all-out war in the Middle East—a war that is prophesied to quickly go global and nuclear in scope—the Chinese and the other nations to the east will not remain on the sidelines. We can imagine that with much of the world being involved in World War III and many countries actually being destroyed in a nuclear holocaust, China and her allies will be strongly tempted to join the fray. If they moved in at the right moment, they could end up controlling what is left of the world along with most of its vital resources, especially the oil and gas fields throughout the Middle East. Thus, as the war between the West and Russia rages, and the fires of nuclear destruction begin to rain down on their armies and cities, China and the nations of the Far East will begin to move toward Israel. The Bible says that they will actually be drawn through the release of evil angels at the sounding of the Sixth Trumpet, who will go throughout the Earth inciting violence and war (Rev. 9:13-16). The chaos of the Great Tribulation will swirl every nation up to an intense frenzy of battle, which will cause the mobilization of forces far beyond any army assembled in history.
200,000,000 Strong
When all out war begins in the Middle East between Israel, Russia, and the Antichrist-backed nations, the Far East countries will stay out of the initial confrontation. Eventually, however, they too will enter the battle with greater numbers of troops than has ever been assembled. Revelation chapter 9 speaks about the enormous size of this force in a strange, metaphorical prophecy:
“And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
“Saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound in the great river, Euphrates.
“And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, to slay the third part of men.
“And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand; and I heard the number of them.” Rev. 9:13-16
At the sounding of the Sixth Trumpet of Revelation, the evil forces that are released will go throughout the Earth to gather all the remaining armies to Israel for the final battle. Note that the timing of this trumpet must be before the Sixth Bowl of Wrath is poured out, which occurs just before the eastern armies reach the Euphrates River (Rev. 16:12).
When Daniel predicted that the rumblings from the east would trouble the Antichrist surely the sheer magnitude of the troops that will come against him would make anyone fear. No, the writers of the Bible did not make a mistake when they wrote down this prophecy. The size of the army of the Kings of the East will indeed be 200 million strong! So, as far as I am concerned the coming wars described in both the Ezekiel 38 war and the Revelation war as seen in Rev. 16:12 will be fought by real men not demons. The 200 million man army you read about in the Time report isn’t the only place where we see that number mentioned. The report below concerning China and Japan also show how an army of 200 million can be formed. Could these be the kings Jesus warned us about?

Now I am not sure why people are saying Rev. 16:12 is the same event as Rev. 9:“1-6 which says the following: 1 And the sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river, Euphrates, and its water was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” is the same event as Revelation Revelation 9: 1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6 During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.
When the kings from the East attack the weapons that will be used will kill people however, in Revelation 9 we see that these locusts do not kill but they only torture them for 5 months and, the kicker is that the people who try to kill themselves because of the pain won’t be able to die. This is a judgement coming from God on the unrighteous it is not a war that we see in Revelation taking about the kings from the East. In a real war if a man was wounded and wanted to end his life he would be able to do so but not in the case as seen in Rev. Chapter 9.
I can not imagine being tortured from the locust sting for 5 months straight to the point where you will try to end your life. There is no weapon of a natural war that will stop a person from killing themselves. During the tribulation period there are many judgments that will befall on all those people who refused the free gift of salvation from Jesus Christ when they had the chance. Keep in mind, this 5 month sting torture is affecting people who flatly refuse Jesus! These people are so evil in heart that the word of God tells us the following in Revelation 16: 8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
Also keep in mind Jesus warned us that our generation would be just like the generation during Noah and Lot time. They were so evil God had to send a world wide flood and in Lot’s case the Lord sent fire and brimstone to wipe them out. Look at the very words of Christ in Luke 17
Jesus put me into this last days ministry to show you all the end time signs He said would happen all at the same time when, Israel was born again as a nation is happening now. Ever before can any generation before the rebirth of Israel in 1948 make a claim that they were the generation to see the second coming. Why do you think things are getting so bad now?
There is no doubt in my heart or mind, we are the generation Jesus pointed to! This is no time to be unsaved in Jesus. If you remain unsaved by our Lord’s free gift of salvation you will end up in the tribulation and, have to go through all the judgements that fall on the people who turned their backs on Christ including the 5 months of torture. Jesus had all these last days prophecies for us so when we saw them we knew He was and is the true messiah. He did this so you would know there is no other who could write all these prophecies and have them be seen. You have no idea the love Christ has for you.
