Israel Minister of Housing and Construction Uri Ariel issued a statement on Friday indicating that he is in favour of constructing what he calls the “Third Temple” in place of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem. In a statement reported by the Alray Palestinian Media Agency , Ariel claimed that: “The first Temple was destroyed in 586 BCE, the second Temple in 70 CE, and ever since the Jews have been mourning its loss.” He added that: “Al-Aqsa Mosque is currently in place of the temple, despite the temple being much holier than it. Al-Aqsa Mosque is only the third most holy mosque in Islam.” Ariel then asserted that: “Now that Israel has once again become a Jewish sovereign state, there have been occasional calls to rebuild the Temple.”

battle for jerusalem

Headline:  Israel attacked Syrian base in Latakia, Lebanese media reports

The Israel Air Force bombed a Syrian base in the Latakia airport in the north of the country on Sunday, Lebanese media reported Monday morning.  There are currently no other confirmations of this report.  Israeli security sources refused to confirm or deny the claims and there are serious doubts as to whether Israel in fact carried out the attack. In such cases in the past, information leaked was corroborated by the American government. They have not commented on this incident.  Two weeks ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted that Israel is operating to thwart the transfer of weapons, even if such reports are not made public. He was relating specifically to the threat posed by Hezbollah to Israeli naval ships by precise missiles. According to various reports in foreign media, Israel attacked weapons depots in the Latakia area in the past, though Israel has not confirmed such reports. Last November, U.S. sources reported that Israel was behind an attack on Russian SA-8 surface-to-air missiles near Latakia.

Just one week after he was released from an Israeli prison, Hamas leader Hassan Yousef said on Sunday that a third Arab armed uprising – or intifada – is just a matter of time. Speaking to Channel 2 News, Yousef said that Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas does not represent anyone other than himself. “All the organizations of the Palestine Liberation Organization, as well as Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, are opposed to negotiations with Israel,” he declared. “The intifada will not wait for anyone,” warned Yousef. “If it doesn’t happen today then it will happen tomorrow, if not this month then next month. Eventually – just as the First Intifada and the Al-Aqsa Intifada broke out – another one could break out.” Yousef also warned Israel against starting a war in Gaza in response to the increased rocket fire at southern Israel in recent weeks.

Headline:  Video: Jihadists Produce Gaza’s First Domestic Missile Launcher

The “Mujahideen Brigades” in Gaza announced this week the launch of a new domestically-developed ATM (Anti-Tank Missile) launcher. Video released by the terror group shows a terrorist holding the new weapon and firing a missile. The launcher, which is over a meter (3.3 feet) in length, sports basic sights for aiming. Its name “Sair,” meaning “burning flame,” is taken from verse 97 of the Koran’s Sura al-Isra (“the night journey”), which reads: “he (Allah) will gather them on the Day of Resurrection [fallen] on their faces – blind, dumb and deaf. Their refuge is Hell; every time it subsides we increase them in blazing fire (sair).”

Headline:  Ex-PA Minister: ‘a Few Thousand Jews’ Can Remain

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not intend to uproot Jewish settlements anywhere in the West Bank, and will not force any settlers to leave, even under a permanent peace deal with the Palestinians, a well-placed official in the Prime Minister’s Office told The Times of Israel on Sunday. Rather, the prime minister will insist that settlers be given the free choice of remaining in place and living under Palestinian rule, or relocating to areas under Israeli sovereign rule, the official said. It may just have been a trial balloon, rather than a statement of intent, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s suggestion that Judea and Samaria settlers should have the right to remain in their homes even if they fall within the territory of a future Palestinian state after a peace deal is signed sparked a political firestorm on Sunday. Rightists expressed anger over the idea, leftists said it was unfeasible, and the Palestinians also dismissed it. However on Monday, Former Palestinian Authority (PA) minister Ashraf al-Ajrami said Monday that the PA does not oppose the possibility that Jews would live in a future state of “Palestine” as citizens. Al Ajrami told IDF Radio that “Israeli settlements will not be allowed to remain inside the territory of the Palestinian state.” “If you want to reside [there], you will have to reside [there] as a Palestinian citizen like all the others,” he explained. “If there is agreement on leaving a few thousand [Jewish] citizens within the territory of the Palestinian Authority, that can be done. But Israeli settlements – that is, under some kind of Israeli control – will not exist.”

Headline:  A new, improved Jordanian option

The recent surprise visit to Jordan by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is indicative of the importance the premier attributes to the Hashemite kingdom’s role in advancing the diplomatic process, and particularly to its role in the future, if and when a Palestinian state is established. The substance of Netanyahu’s talks with King Abdullah a week and a half ago have not leaked, but the king’s positions and strategic plans can be discerned from off-the-record conversations with senior Jordanian officials, some of them with direct access to the royal palace.  The most important message emerging from the talks with the Jordanians is their assessment that it is vital to achieve an Israeli-Palestinian agreement that will lead to the end of the conflict. Such an agreement will not only allow Jordan to publicly improve its relations with Israel, but will have far-reaching implications for Israel’s relations with other countries in the region.  “You have to understand that the progressive forces in the Arab world, those that support having a visible relationship with Israel, cannot reach out to it until the Palestinian problem is resolved,” said one Jordanian official. “Moreover, this should also be Israel’s interest, because the only way to stop the Islamic movements from seizing control in the West Bank is through an agreement with the Palestinians.”

Headline:  Secret Iranian team in Beirut to counter suicide attacks and upgrade Hizballah intelligence

Iran has embarked on an urgent project for rebuilding Hizballah’s intelligence and security mechanisms from scratch, to repair the ravages inflicted by the spate of suicide attacks on its strongholds in Beirut and other parts of Lebanon, since the Shiite militia joined the Syrian war.

A top team of senior officials from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Al Qods Brigades intelligence and Ministry of Intelligence and Security, landed secretly in Beirut last week. They arrived under cover of a delegation, headed by Deputy Justice Minister Abdol-Ali Mirkoohi, which came to collect information from the interrogation of Majid al Majid, the Saudi Arabian leader of the Abdallah Azzam Brigades terrorist group, who died in a Lebanese prison on Jan. 4. That group claimed some of the attacks on Hizballah targets. On its arrival, the secret Al Qods-led team separated from the delegation and got down to what is clearly a long-term project for reconstructing its Lebanese surrogate’s intelligence and security bodies.

Headline:  New fighters, arms spark fresh fears in Tripoli

A branch of al-Qaida has declared open warfare on Hezbollah inside Lebanon, prompting the Party of the Resistance, as it refers to itself, to tighten security in its strongholds, especially in south Beirut and throughout the Bekaa Valley. The Sunni Wahhabi Jabhat al-Nusra Front, which is fighting on the side of the opposition in Syria and against the Iranian-backed Shiite Hezbollah, which has lined up with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, declared that areas of Lebanon where Hezbollah operates are “legitimate targets” for attack. In addition, an al-Nusra statement warned Sunnis in Lebanon to avoid those areas. “We, Al-Nusra Front in Lebanon, announce that Iran’s party, Hezbollah, and all its bases and bastions are legitimate targets for us, wherever they are,” the group posted in an Internet statement. The threat to Lebanon signals an expansion by al-Nusra of its efforts to create a regional Islamist caliphate under strict Shariah law to include not only Syria and Iraq where al-Qaida forces recently have stepped up attacks in Anbar province around Fallujah and Ramadi, but also Lebanon.

Headline:  Egypt clashes kill 49 on third anniversary of revolution

At least 49 people have been killed in clashes in Egypt as the country marks the anniversary of the 2011 uprising which overthrew President Hosni Mubarak, the health ministry says. Rival demonstrations of supporters and opponents of the military-backed government took place in Cairo. But police broke up anti-government protests, and arrests were reported in Cairo and Alexandria. Hundreds have died since July when the army deposed President Mohammed Morsi. Egyptian Interior Minister Muhammad Ibrahim had urged Egyptians not to be afraid to go to events marking the anniversary of the uprising. Thousands of supporters of the military and the government gathered in high-profile locations including Tahrir Square – the focal point of the 18-day 2011 popular revolt. Participants waved Egyptian flags and banners showing army chief Gen Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, whom many urged to run for president. Meanwhile on Saturday, an army helicopter crashed in the restive Sinai peninsula, with an unconfirmed report that its crew of five soldiers was dead. A large car bomb exploded near a police building in Suez, at the southern entrance of the Suez canal, with reports that nine people were injured. At least 18 people died in violence on Friday.

Egypt’s military council green lights Sisi to run for president; Egypt presidential elections may be held in April. Judicial sources from the High Elections Commission said that Egyptian presidential elections are likely to be held in mid to late April. Regarding the possibility that army chief Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will run for president, he should resign before the High Elections Commission calls on voters to go to the polls, the sources said according to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Masri Al-Youm on Sunday. Egypt’s military council has given the army chief, Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, a green light to run for president, a security source told Reuters. “The top army officials all okayed Sisi running for the presidency,” said the source. Sisi is expected to announce his candidacy within days. Sisi deposed Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July, triggering political upheaval and street violence in the Arab world’s most populous nation. Since then he has become hugely popular among Egyptians, who see him as a decisive figure who can stabilize the country which has lurched from one crisis to another since a popular uprising toppled autocrat Hosni Mubarak in 2011.

Headline:  Syria talks: ‘Impasse’ at Geneva on power transfer

Headline: Women and children can leave Homs district, Syria’s government tells mediator

The Syrian peace talks in Geneva are deadlocked over the divisive issue of transferring power to a transitional government. The sides cannot agree on the future role of President Bashar al-Assad. UN mediator Lakhdar Brahimi said there “was apparently the will” to continue talks but “we never expected any miracles”. He said there was no decision yet on allowing an aid convoy into besieged areas of the city of Homs (see 2nd link). “We are happy and encouraged that this conference has taken place – it is one little step forward but whatever gain we have made is reversible. “We will continue trying to make this work and we hope that both parties will co-operate,” Mr Brahimi told a news conference in Geneva. The peace talks resumed in Geneva on Monday morning. The Syrian government team presented a “declaration of principles” that did not mention transfer of power; it was rejected by the opposition. The declaration reportedly demanded that Syrians choose a political system without “imposed formulas” from outside – an apparent reference to attempts to remove Mr Assad – while also insisting on discussing “terrorism” rather than transfer of power.

EzekielCROP_thumb1_thumb_thumb_thumb.jpgAmy's Psalm 83 for Frank

Listed below are the nations which will attack Israel from Ezekiel chapter 38 and their modern day names.

Gog is the leader of the Russian invasion of Israel.

Magog, Meshech, and Tubal comprise modern day Russia.

Persia is Iran, parts of northern Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Cush is Ethiopia and Sudan.

Put is Libya and will most likely include Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.

Gomer is Eastern Germany.

Beth Togarmah is Turkey and Armenia.

There are major differences between the Psalm 83 war and the Ezekiel 38 war which shows us they are not the same war.  Here are a few major differences. At the current time Israel is still calling for Peace and safety and they have bars, gates, and walls to protect them from the PLO.  The  told Ezekiel this war will take place when Israel is living in peace and feeling safe.  As long as the enemies of Israel listed in the Psalm 83 war are working to wipe out Israel, Israel will never feel safe enough to remove any of the bars, gates, or walls which shows us the Psalm war has to take place first.  Another major difference between the Psalm war and Ezekiel war is the nations who attack Israel are different. In the Psalm 83 war you see the nations that border Israel attacking her.  The nations listed to attack Israel in the Ezekiel war do not show any of the nations which are listed in the Psalm war.  Why?  The answer is simple. Israel will already have destroyed the nations who attacked them in the Psalm 83 war and they will make no other to attempt to wipe them out.  When the nations listed in the Ezekiel war see what Israel did to their Brothers listed in the Psalm war they in turn will pick up the torch and try to do what the Psalm 83 nations couldn’t do, wipe Israel off the map.  How will this Ezekiel 38-39 war end. God tells us that 5/6 of the entire army that attacks Israel will be killed.  At the end of the day Israel will have won the Psalm 83 war and the Ezekiel war.  In the Psalm 83 war the IDF will have defeated their enemies.  In the Ezekiel it will be God who steps in to wipe out all the armies who try to wipe out Israel.  The current events you are now witnessing in the Middle East is setting up the scene for both the Psalm war and Ezekiel war.

I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them. 38 I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord. 39 ‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the Lord.”

Headline:  Rouhani (Iran) : Israel Would be ‘Crazy’ to Attack

Israel will not dare attack Iran, because it knows what the consequences will be, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. In an interview with CNN, Rouhani said that an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities would be “crazy.” Iran would agree not to enrich more uranium to levels that could be used for nuclear weapons, but it would not agree to relinquish any uranium it had already enriched, he said, addressing the recent discussions between Iran and Western countries. “It is part a part of our national pride, and nuclear technology has become indigenous,” Rouhani said. “And recently, we have managed to secure very considerable prowess with regards to the fabrication of centrifuges,” which the country would retain under any circumstances, he said.

Headline:  Rouhani: Israel Will be Sorry if It Attacks Iran- repeat story from 1/24

Israel will regret it if it attacks Iran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned on Thursday. Speaking to CNN on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Rouhani dismissed the possibility that Israel would attempt a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities. “Israel knows very well what the response would be. Israel knows well our regional capability. When it comes to practice, the Israelis cannot do that. If they do such a crazy thing, our response will make them rue the day,” he threatened. Rouhani said that in the interview that sanctions against Iran are illegal and are undermining international law. “When it comes to sanctions, have they been successful so far? Sanctions first and foremost are illegal,” he said. “And a Congress which claims to be making laws should not contravene international laws.” “These sanctions translate into the weakening of the NPT (Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons), the weakening of international laws and regulations. No other country can decide for another country,” he claimed.

Headline:  Nine killed in latest Iraq bloodshed

Iraqi government forces battling Al-Qaeda-linked militants intensified air strikes and artillery fire on the rebel-held city of Falluja on Sunday, and at least seven people were killed, according to hospital officials and tribal leaders. Religious and tribal leaders in the city, 50 km (30 miles) west of Baghdad, said they feared an imminent assault by the army to expel militants and end a three-week standoff that has driven thousands of people from their homes. Iraqi security forces have set up a loose cordon around Falluja and have clashed sporadically with insurgents inside. But they but have held off from an all-out offensive, to give community leaders and tribesmen time to convince the gunmen to withdraw. “There is no time left for talks and we’re afraid a military solution is looming,” said a local cleric in Falluja, which was the scene of two major battles with US troops in 2004. “A third Falluja battle is at the doors.” On Sunday morning, Al-Qaeda-linked militants attacked an army post in southern Falluja, seizing two Humvee vehicles and destroying a third, local sources said.

Egypt has evacuated its staff from its embassy in the Libyan capital and the consulate in Benghazi city after kidnappers seized Egypt’s cultural attaché and three other embassy diplomats, an official told Al Arabiya News Channel Saturday. Spokesman for Egypt’s foreign ministry Badr Abed al-Ati said “formal relations [between Egypt and Libya] are continuing, but the staff was evacuated from Egypt’s embassy in Tripoli and the consulate in Benghazi as temporary security measure.” Ati said Hadiya, who was arrested in Egypt on Friday, will be released only investigations prove that he wasn’t involved in any criminal offence. A spokesperson for the kidnappers demanded in a direct call with Al Arabiya News Channel for the release of Hadiya, also known as Sheikh Abou Obaida. One of the kidnappers identified himself as “one of Libya’s rebels,” and confirmed that “the diplomats will not be released unless Abou Obaida is released.” Hadiya is considered one of the prominent rebels fighting embattled President Muammar Qaddafi’s regime until the leader was toppled in late 2011.

In Revelation 17:9 the angel begins to tell John the meaning of the seven heads. Here in verse 9 the angel says they “are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.” In Revelation 17:10 we are also told there are seven kings. I quote, “10And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.” Now this next verse is very important so keep this in mind. I quote, ”And the beast that was, and is not

even he is the eighth, and is of the seven and goeth into perdition” Revelation 17:11. The seven mountains here refer to kingdoms or governments. The kings of course are the rulers of the kingdoms. In this case seven kings rule the seven kingdoms.(Revelation)

“The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings.”(Daniel)

Headline:  France’s Hollande cautiously backs Turkey EU membership bid

French President Francois Hollande cautiously backed Turkey’s aim to join the European Union on Monday despite its recent crackdown on police and judiciary and earlier French reservations about the idea. In a long-planned state visit, the first by a French leader in 22 years, Hollande is seeking to mend frayed ties and smooth the way for French companies angling for contracts in Turkey. But the visit has been overshadowed by Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan’s efforts to tighten controls on the court system in response to a corruption probe. European leaders criticized the AK Party leader in Brussels last week, saying democratic principles needed to be upheld.

Headline:  Turkey reaches crisis point over lira’s plunge

Turkey ramped up action in its increasingly desperate defence of the lira on Monday with the central bank calling a crisis meeting, prompting analysts to forecast a policy U turn and big rate rise. The bank called the meeting for Tuesday after heavy intervention on the currency markets failed to stop a run on the lira, amid severe pressure on several emerging markets. The currency crisis increases difficulties for the government, already facing a political crisis, and which has fought against a base rate rise for months as the lira has plunged. In the middle of last year the central bank resorted to complex techniques rendering inoperative the base rate, and sharply raised short-term rates. It also began measured intervention on the foreign exchange market but last week it was forced to intervene directly and heavily, but to little effect. Turkish policy ‘unpredictable’ Economists suggested that an emergency interest rate rise could be in the pipeline, but warned that Turkish monetary policy was “extremely unpredictable”. Some economists said that the bank could at least raise the overnight lending rate to 9.0 percent from the existing 7.75 percent, while others called for more aggressive action to obtain results and bolster the bank’s credibility.

Headline: Japan Trade Deficit Worst on Record

Headline: Asian stocks sink over global economy fears

Japan logged a record trade deficit for all of 2013, the third straight year of red ink, as Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s efforts to lift exports and reverse a long-standing trend toward greater overseas production have so far failed to make much headway. Some economists say the continuing string of deficits, despite a sharp 18% weakening of the yen, shows that Japan’s trading patterns have shifted, with big manufacturers continuing to keep production overseas. While the high value of the yen from 2008 to 2012 has been cited as a factor, companies such as Toyota Motor Co. 7203.TO -2.12% have said that they want to have production tied as closely as possible to the markets for their goods. “Contrary to expectations held by many, exports are unlikely to lead the economy higher,” said Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance chief economist Yuichi Kodama. “This trade structure will likely remain unchanged for a while,” he said. The government figures released Monday showed that the deficit in December was ¥1.302 trillion ($12.73 billion), double the year-ago figure. That pushed the full-year trade gap to ¥11.475 trillion, the largest ever under the current statistical format dating back to 1979.

Headline: Dramatic rise in flu deaths reported by California health officials

State health officials reported Friday that California influenza deaths this flu season have doubled to 95, with an additional 51 cases likely to be confirmed next week. That would put this year’s number of flu fatalities so far at 146. At this time last year, nine deaths had been confirmed, and only 106 were confirmed by the end of the season.  “So far we have a much more severe season,” said state epidemiologist Dr. Gil Chavez in a conference call with reporters Friday. He said that flu activity in California remained “widespread.”  In part, the gap between this year’s deaths and the number of deaths at this time last year is because this year’s season struck early, Chavez said. However, this year’s predominant flu strain is H1N1 “swine flu,” which is more deadly than other strains. Seventy-five of this year’s 95 confirmed deaths were caused by H1N1, Chavez said.

Whatever its name, the fungus-caused illness—which can be fatal—is being called a silent epidemic. “This is a high priority for the medical community,” said Dr. Tom Chiller, a fungal expert with the Centers for Disease Control, told CNBC by phone.  “More people are getting exposed to it, and it’s an increasing problem we want to stop,” added Chiller.  The fungus that causes valley fever lives in soil in the U.S. desert Southwest and parts of Mexico, Central America and South America. Inhaling the fungus’ airborne spores can cause flu-like symptoms that can turn into pneumonia, meningitis or even worse.  Though valley fever is not contagious, cases have been on the rise. Less than 5,000 cases were reported in 1995. That number had risen to more than 20,000 by 2011. And the CDC estimates that some 150,000 cases go undiagnosed annually.

Headline:   The cop of the future: Will crooks have a chance against smart bullets, crowd-stun cannons and eyes everywhere?

Criminals may not have a chance in 2025, when the cop of the future will be an imposing crime-fighting machine, able to see around corners in urban environments, identify suspects at a glance, safely pursue stolen cars and effortlessly bring unruly crowds under control. Police departments around the country are already testing technologies like Google Glass, lapel cameras and tracking devices that allow safer pursuit of fleeing suspects. But this is merely a glimpse of what’s to come, according to experts contacted by FoxNews.com. They said increasing reliance on data mining, predictive analysis and all manner of gadgets will make getting away with crime harder than ever. “The emergence of new technologies will have significant impact on how front-line police services are delivered in the years ahead and how police officers will look and perform their duties in the future,” Ger Daly, global managing director of Accenture Defense and Public Safety, told FoxNews.com. “All forces endeavor to provide high levels of situational awareness to front-line officers, and technology is a key enabler of this.”

Headline:  Early-Week Polar Plunge Could Be Winter’s Coldest

A blast of frigid air will grip most of the eastern two-thirds of the United States through Wednesday and could yield the lowest temperatures so far this winter in some communities. The impending polar plunge will rival the frigid days from earlier this January for the coldest daytime highs and nighttime lows so far this winter. This does not include South Florida. The arctic air first plunged into the Upper Midwest, northern Plains and northern Rockies on Sunday and is expected to continue pressing to the Gulf and Atlantic coasts through Tuesday.

Headline:  Riot police scuffle with protesters in Cambodia

Riot police in Cambodia have scuffled with anti-government protesters in the capital Phnom Penh. On Sunday, things turned violent after security forces prevented the protesters from entering the Freedom Park. Several people were injured in the skirmishes. Protesters were demanding the release of 23 people arrested during a crackdown earlier this month. The government imposed a ban on rallies in the capital following a series of anti-government protests over the past few months. This comes as the main opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) has repeatedly called for the resignation of Prime Minister Hun Sen, claiming the July 2013 elections were rigged.
