Prophecy Sign: Revelation 6:6 gives us the picture of people working all day long for one small meal. The price of food is continuing to climb and you will see the rise shortly in 2011. Weather-related supply disruptions in mid-2010, including a severe drought in Russia and abnormally wet conditions in Canada, will be felt by agricultural markets in 2011. Led by wheat prices, the Economist Intelligence Unit’s food, feedstuffs and beverages index will rise by around 5%, more than would normally be expected given the subdued economic backdrop.
Food producers will charge more to compensate. Sara Lee plans to raise prices for its meat, bread and coffee products; it will reverse these only grudgingly as the prices of key commodities fall.
A recovery in wheat production will be propelled by producers outside Russia and Canada, boosting crops in response to high prices. This will be enough to satisfy modest growth in consumption, but owing to previous crop disruptions wheat prices will increase by 8% in 2011. Prices for maize and soya beans will also climb.
Global meat consumption will grow by 2%, spurred mostly by emerging markets. Sugar’s sweet run will come to an end, with prices slumping by 8%.
Do some checking and find out that cotton had already risen by 54 percent, corn had climbed 29 percent, soybeans 22 percent, orange juice 17 percent and sugar by 51 percent. The rise in prices have as of yet hit the supermarkets. Why, because none of the big food corporations wants to be the first to raise prices so dramatically. This cannot continue. Add the freezing temps to the situation and it could get ugly. “
Whatever crops were salvaged following a freeze nearly two weeks ago, were done in by last night’s chilly temperatures, said Frank Oakes, the owner of Oakes Organic Farm and Food & Thought in Collier County.
“The frost this morning was thicker than I’ve seen it,” Oakes said after surveying his crops near the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary early this morning. “It looks like the ground is covered in snow.”
Oakes said while freezing temperatures didn’t last as long as the most recent freeze two weeks ago, it was colder.
“It got down to 26 degrees last night and it got to 27 during the last one,” Oakes said. “This was the worst night as far as temperatures go, but I don’t think it’ll be the worst for farmers. Most of what we had was already lost.”

“Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Saturday that when a Palestinian state is established, it will have no Israelis in it. “We have frankly said, and always will say: If there is an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, we won’t agree to the presence of one Israeli in it,” Abbas told reporters in Ramallah.” “Abbas hailed Bolivia, Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador, which have recognized a Palestinian state with the 1967 borders. He said that the Palestinians were now hoping that other countries, especially the EU, Russia, Canada, the US and Japan, would follow suit and declare their recognition of a Palestinian state. “The whole world is now with us,” Abbas said. “These countries have recognized us because they love peace and want to support peace.”

Are you searching for TRUTH? You can believe what the Prophet Zechariah said in Zech. 12:3 when he warned in the last days all the nations would turn on Israel, and in Zechariah’s prophecy we see Jerusalem would become the major problem to the nations in the last days, which it has. There is truth to what the Palestinian leader stated when he named the nations who have joined with him in calling for Israel to be divided. You can also believe Mahmoud Abbas when he tells you there will be no peace until the PLO get back the land they lost in the 1967 war. This land includes East Jerusalem which just so happens to be God’s Holy City. Everything you see taking place in the Middle East is on the path to fulfilling Bible prophecy. You want truth? You better read what Jesus said about Jerusalem! I quote Luke 21:20-24“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”
Many of you don’t know this but Jerusalem was in the hands of the gentiles for almost 2,000 years. Everything Jesus told us was going to happen about Jerusalem in this prophecy has come to pass. In 1967 Israel had to go to war again against the Arabs. In the war of 1967 Israel for the first time since the Jews were taken captive in 70 AD, recaptured East Jerusalem and took this city out of the hands of the Arabs, (gentiles). The Arabs are fighting to get back what they lost and in doing so are fulfilling what Zechariah had written down for us via the Lord. Looking at scripture you can say Mahmoud Abbas is correct, there will be no peace in the Middle East. Abbas and the other Arab leaders bordering Israel will also fulfill Paul’s warning soon concerning the sudden destruction that will come while they are still calling for Peace and security. If you still don’t believe the Word of God in Zechariah 12:3 all I can say is this, Bolivia, Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and the ten EU nations who just said they want to recognize a PLO State within Israel will soon be joined as Zechariah says, “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
I was both astounded and in awe after reading the following article. Like so many others that we've read in the last year, this one also carries with it serious (and exciting!!!) prophetic implications for the coming year. Here's a quote to whet (yes, whet and not wet) your appetite just a little: " The Palestinians clearly see the coming year as a decisive year in their war to destroy Israel."
“On Sunday thousands of Israel haters gathered in Istanbul to welcome the Turkish-Hamas terror ship Mavi Marmara to the harbor. Festooned with Palestinian flags, the crowd chanted “Death to Israel,” “Down with Israel” and “Allah akbar” with Hizbullah-like enthusiasm. The Turkish protesters promised to stand on the side of Hamas when it next goes to war with Israel. They may not have to wait long to keep their promise. Over the past two weeks Hamas has steeply escalated its missile war with over 30 launches. Last week, a missile that narrowly missed a nursery school wounded a young girl. Since Operation Cast Lead two years ago, Iran has helped Hamas massively increase its missile and other military capabilities. Today the terror group that rules Gaza has missiles capable of reaching Tel Aviv. It has advanced antitank missiles. As Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida said Saturday, “We are now stronger than before and during the war, and our silence over the past two years was only for evaluating the situation.” That evaluation has not tempered Hamas’s aim of annihilating the Jews of Israel. As Obeida’s colleague Ahmed Jaabari said Saturday, Israel’s Jews have two choices, “death or departing Palestinian lands.”
We see the handwriting on the wall, and I am pointing to God’s Word in Psalm 83. I believe a major war between Israel and her bordering nations, which will include the Palestinians, Hizbullah, Hamas and Syria among others. What is the real goal of the PLO and the those bordering Israel? The report shows you their goal. I quote, “These then are the contours of the Palestinians’ war plans for 2011. Hamas will launch an illegal missile war to provoke an IDF campaign in Gaza. Iran, Syria, Hizbullah, Turkey, the UN and a vast array of NGOs and leftist governments from Norway to Brazil will support its illegal war. Fatah will escalate its political war. Its campaign will be supported by the US, the EU, the UN and a vast array of NGOs and leftist governments. The purpose of these two campaigns – which complement one another and which will likely culminate at the UN in September – is to weaken Israel militarily and politically with the shared purpose of destroying it in the fullness of time.” If after you read this news and you still don’t believe what Zechariah, Psalms 83, and Paul warns for this generation concerning Jerusalem and Israel, then the only thing that may turn you to Christ for salvation may be for you to have a “on the road to Damascus experience like the Apostle Paul had!

Prophecy Sign: Luke 21:25 “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring” For the past week many US States have had to face one of the most intense storms. On the West Coast of the US huge waves pounded the coast and many home were lost as mud slides took the homes away with the rushing water. On the East Coast the storm caused complex problems for people traveling, and as you will see from the videos below, flooding, ice, mud, and snow have turned what was suppose to be a Happy Holiday into a nightmare for hundreds of thousand of people across the US. America is not alone when it comes to the roaring of the seas and waves.

“SYDNEY — Military helicopters were called in Tuesday to help evacuate hundreds of Australians stranded by rising floodwaters, as entire towns were inundated by the worst deluges in parts of the region in decades. Torrential rains following in the wake of tropical cyclone Tasha, which last week crossed into the northeastern state of Queensland before quickly fading, have swollen rivers and flooded scores of farms and homes in the state. Some towns saw their worst floods in 50 years, including Theodore some 400 kilometres (250 miles) northwest of Brisbane, which has been cut off for two days and whose 350 residents were being evacuated by helicopter.”

One of the key scriptures that informs us our generation is the last generation Jesus was talking about can be found in Revelation 9:21. The words “magic arts” in Revelation 9:21 is the Greek word pharmakia from which comes our word “pharmacy”. It signifies the use of medicine, drugs, spells, such as those used in witchcraft and those used today by those who are seeking a greater “high”.Revelation 21:“(Reuters) – Venezuela has detained 12,376 people for drug-related crimes this year, about 40 percent more than in 2009, as the South American nation continues to be a major shipment route, authorities said on Monday” Most of you know the drug problem is not just confined to South America, but it has spread throughout the world. This news report is only a glimpse at the problem and I can assure you as this generation gets closer to the Lord’s second coming the drug use will grow and reaches it max during the seven year tribulation.

Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:12 warns us in the last days lawlessness will cause many hearts to wax cold, while Christ also points out in Matthew 24:9 that Christians will be persecuted for their faith. I quote our Lord, "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.” “Officials in Nigeria now say at least 80 people have died following bombing attacks Friday in the central part of the country, and later clashes between Muslim and Christian groups. An official with Nigeria's emergency management agency said the department has counted 80 bodies in the city of Jos, where many of the Christmas Eve bombing victims were doing last-minute Christmas shopping. Officials had earlier said 32 people were killed in the bombings, and another person was killed in the clashes that followed on Sunday. Several buildings were set on fire during the clashes between armed Christian and Muslim groups in Jos. Police have arrested at least three people involved in the street violence. Nigerian authorities say the recent violence is politically motivated, aimed at raising tensions between Muslims and Christians before April's presidential election.”

Prophecy Sign; Daniel in Daniel 12:4 lets us know that the last generation before Jesus returns will be known for their increase in knowledge and traveling back and forth. It would be this same generation who would understand the signs of the last days. Let me give you a new example of what this generation’s increase in knowledge is bring us. “Apple was just granted a patent for a new type of display screen that produces three dimensional images without the need for glasses. The technology could be used to produce new types of televisions, computer monitors and cinema screens.

It is time to put on the armor of our Lord and protect your faith in Christ for the day is coming when the Lord will send out His angels to gather all the unrighteous and bring them to a place they do not want to go, and it won’t be anywhere near the Father.
