Signs that America is declining. “WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats on Wednesday proposed allowing the federal government to borrow an additional $1.9 trillion to pay its bills, a record increase that would permit the national debt to reach $14.3 trillion.  The unpopular legislation is needed to allow the federal government to issue bonds to fund programs and prevent a first-time default on obligations. It promises to be a challenging debate for Democrats, who, as the party in power, hold the responsibility for passing the legislation.”

“WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of newly-laid off workers seeking jobless benefits unexpectedly rose last week, as the economy recovers at a slow and uneven pace.  Layoffs have slowed and the economy began to grow in last year's third quarter, but companies are reluctant to hire new workers. The unemployment rate is 10 percent and many economists expect it to increase in the coming months.  The Labor Department said Thursday that initial claims for unemployment insurance rose by 36,000 to a seasonally adjusted 482,000. Wall Street economists expected a small drop, according to Thomson Reuters.  The four-week average, which smooths fluctuations, rose for the first time since August, to 448,250.”  “Still, the economy is not consistently generating net increases in jobs. The Labor Department said earlier this month that employers cut 85,000 jobs in December, after adding only 4,000 in November. November's increase was the first in nearly two years.”

Eastern side of the revived Roman Empire

Prophecy Sign: Daniel chapter 2 and chapter 7 speaks to us about the last world empire to rule the world at the time Jesus Christ returns to take His rightful place as King of Kings.  When Jesus comes back the Antichrist will be ruling over this last days empire.

“Charles Dumas, chief economist of esteemed Lombard Street Research in London, says the euro zone will definitely collapse.  “The longer it lasts, the more painful the ultimate exit will be,” Dumas, former head of research for Morgan Stanley in London, told Bloomberg. “These economies simply don’t belong together.”  Greece and Spain in particular are pulling down the 16-nation monetary union, he says. “The Greeks and Spanish have grown very fast on the back of artificially low interest rates given to them essentially by being in a union with Germany, France and Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg).”  So Greece and Spain have grown too fast, pushing the Greek budget deficit to 12.7 percent of GDP and Spanish unemployment to 19 percent, he says. “It’s a disaster.”  It made no sense to link weak Greece, Spain and to some extent Portugal and Italy to strong Germany, France and Benelux, Dumas says.   Daniel informs us of the following in Daniel 2:41-42. “And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potter's clay and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it the strength of the iron, inasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken.”

Take a look at the picture of the 7 mountains I have below.  You will notice I put up 7 mountains.  As you can see each mountain is a past kingdom, which was ruled by a king.  In Revelation 17:12 Jesus shows us these kingdoms as (horns).  Notice if you will Christ pointed out to us that there are 10 horns.  I quote, “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.  In Daniel chapter 7 we see these horned kingdoms being plucked out by the next kingdom who would defeat the previous kingdom.  Egypt was the 1st kingdom and it had a horn, Assyria was the 2nd kingdom and it had a horn, the 3rd kingdom was the Babylon Empire and it has a horn, the 4th kingdom was the Medo-Persia and it had a horn, Greece was the 5th kingdom but Greece was split into 4 parts ruled by 4 Generals so Greece had 4 horns, the 6th kingdom was the Roman Empire and it had a horn.  Rome fell away as being an empire but the Eastern part of the old Roman Empire remained and they became the 7th kingdom. The 7th kingdom is the Ottoman Turkish Empire and it had a horn.  Now take a look at the picture of the 7 mountains again and count the number of horns from each kingdom.  As you can see there are 10 horns because Greece had 4 horns.

Western side of the Revived Roman Empire is the European Union or (EU).  The EU has converted 54 out of the European Commission's 136 foreign delegations into embassy-type missions authorised to speak for the entire union. The move follows the coming into force last year of the Lisbon Treaty, which has the creation of a new EU diplomatic corps as one of its main provisions.

Prophecy Sign: Luke 21:25 tells us to watch for the roaring of the seas and waves, in other words, huge storms that drive the waters.  “A new Pacific storm will unleash the worst of its fury across Southern California and Arizona today into tonight. The resultant flooding, mudslides, burying mountain snow, damaging winds and severe thunderstorms will endanger more lives and property.  Today's storm is the fourth in a series of Pacific storms to slam into California this week. The storms from Sunday to Wednesday dumped nearly 74 inches of snow on a mountain in the southern Sierra. The desert city of Palm Springs, Calif., received 42 percent of its average annual rainfall in those four days.”
