I informed you all that I was getting ready to do speaking engagements in N.Y and I would only write if something of major importance broke. Well today that happen in the Middle East and it is something I have been warning you about.

Prophecy Sign: Isaiah 17:1warns us that Syria willl engage in a war and Damascus will be destroyed. Ezekiel 38 warns us Russia will lead an invasion on Israel and some of her allies will be Iran, Libya, and Turkey. We are sure what will cause these wars to break out but I have been warning you to pay attention to Iran, Syria, and Israels enemies in the Gaza. One of the things I have been warning you all about is that Israel will engage in another conflict with Syria and Syria allies which include Hamas and Hezbollah. For the past 3 weeks the Hamas have been firing rockets into Israel. Today Israel has responded. I quote, " Israeli F-16 bombers have pounded key targets across the Gaza Strip, killing at least 225 people, local medics say.Most of those killed were policemen in the Hamas militant movement, which controls Gaza, but women and children also died, the Gaza officials said. About 700 others were wounded, as missiles struck security compounds and militant bases, the officials added. Israeli PM Ehud Olmert said the operation "may take some time"- but he pledged to avoid a humanitarian crisis. "It's not going to last a few days,'' he said in a televised statement, flanked by Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni. Israel said it was responding to an escalation in rocket attacks from Gaza and would bomb "as long as necessary".

We need to keep our eyes on what is happening in this region. Things could get out of hand. If you watch the news video with the report you will see the Hamas is asking for their Arabs Brothers to come to their aid. If Syria responds to the call this may be the time Syria is taken out and Isaiah's prophecy about Syria and Damascus could be fulfilled. It could also turn even worse and Russia may respond because Syria is a one of their very close allies. The could be another labor pain as Jesus warned us about or it could be the steps which will bring on the Ezekiel war.

Guess where the leader of Hamas is calling for a new up rising against Israel? He is in Damascus with his Sryian friends. A report today stated, "(IsraelNN.com) Hamas leader Khalid Mashaal called Saturday night for a "third intifada" against Israel, speaking from Damascus following the IAF attack on Gaza earlier in the day."

Knowing what the Prophet Isaiah said about the destruction of Damascus, any time Syria directs statements towards Israel I pay attention. DAMASCUS, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) — Syria condemned on Saturday the Israeli military strikes on the Gaza Strip as a "heinous crime and convicted terrorist act," the official SANA news agency reported. "Syria follows, with deep concern, the brutal Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in Gaza and stresses that what is going on is a heinous crime and convicted terrorist act," an official source was quoted as saying. "Syria condemns this appalling crime and calls on the Arab nations and the international community to use all available means to pressure Israel to stop this aggression immediately, allow the transfer of the injured and insure them the medical care, and open all crossings to allow access of foodstuffs and health needs to the besieged Palestinian people," added the source. You should expect things to get much more intense from here on.

Russia and Turkey have also jumped in on condemning Israel's attack. Keep in mind both Russia and Turkey are mentioned as nations who will attack Israel in the last days. I quote, "Moscow added its voice Saturday to calls for an immediate end to Middle East violence after the Israeli airstrikes that left scores dead in the Gaza Strip. Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko called on Israel to end its 'combat activities which have already led to great loss and suffering among the peaceful Palestinian population."

"We strongly condemn the death of many Palestinians as result of Israel's attack on Gaza. We are calling for restraint and an immediate halt of the Israeli operation," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement. As far as I am concerned all these events are handwritings on the wall. I truly believe the Ezekiel attack isn't far off. 2009 should be a very interesting year for prophecy.

More news broke on Dec. 28th concerning Syria and Turkey. “(IsraelNN.com) Syria notified Turkey on Sunday that it was ceasing all indirect negotiations with Israel following the Air Force operation against Hamas installations in Gaza, according to Turkish sources cited by the Syrian Cham Press news agency. Last week, Syria said it was suspending the talks pending elections in Israel and the inauguration of Barack Obama as President of the United States. Cham Press added that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was also suspending his contacts with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. In confirming Sunday's report, Erdogan called the Israeli air strikes "a blow to the peace initiative at a time when we're making significant efforts on its behalf." Erdogan called the attack on Gaza "a crime against humanity" and called for it to end immediately. He called the Gaza operation "a sign of disrespect towards Turkey."
