Prophecy sign Matthew 24:7 Diseases. On July 29, 2008 a reported was issued with the headline that read, “New bird flu strain detected” We were told in that report the “Nigerian authorities have reported a fresh outbreak of the deadly H5N1 bird flu virus in the northern states of Katsina and Kano, the official Nan news agency said on Tuesday. The virus was confirmed through tests on affected birds on a poultry farm in Kano State and it has killed 4,249 birds, Nan quoted a state agriculture official as saying. In a previous post I talked about how Jesus in the book of Revelation shows us that millions of people will die do to disease. The H5N1 bird flu could end up being one of those major diseases that will end up spreading throughout the world. As it stands now the disease is making its way to nations who did not have this disease in the country. So far this type of bird flu is killing primarily birds but it is spreading to humans. What health officials are worried about is if this disease begins to spread from human to human instead of from birds to humans.
In a more recent report from Rome we learned that “Scientists have detected for the first time in Nigeria a new strain of the virus that causes avian influenza – also known as bird-flu – a UN agency announced on Tuesday. The find comes in the wake of Nigeria recently reporting two new Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza outbreaks in the states of Katsina and Kano, the Rome-based UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) said”. Officials are testing the disease to see if this new strain will be the type that will be easier to spread from human to human. In another section of that report is stated, “The detection of a new avian influenza virus strain in Africa raises serious concerns as it remains unknown how this strain has been introduced to the continent," FAO Animal Health Service International Wildlife Co-ordinator, Scott Newman, said.” Health officials are trying to keep the disease contained and the report told us, "Many countries have succeeded in getting the virus under control, but as long as avian influenza remains endemic in some countries, the international community needs to be on alert. Both at risk and affected countries have to keep a high level of surveillance,".
No one can say for sure if this is one of the diseases Jesus referred to in the book of Revelation however, knowing what the health officials say could happen if this bird flu starts spreading from human to human, it just may be one of those diseases.

Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:7 Earthquakes in many places. Two days ago there was a 6.2 earthquake reported from New Zealand. “A strong earthquake struck near the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu, but there were no immediate reports of damage and no tsunami warning was issued.” This quake was one of many of the big quakes reported in late July and early August. More are coming”.

Prophecy sign: Ezekiel 38 shows us a war against Israel and Iran is one of many nations that will attack Israel in the end times. Prophecy sign Isaiah 17:1 destruction of Damascus. Isaiah showed us around the same time as Ezekiel’s war against Israel takes place Syria will also go to war against Israel and in the end Damascus will be completely destroyed. In a recent Debka report we see signs that both Iran and Syria are coming together against Israel. “Debkafile’s military sources disclose that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps have created a separate missile command, in which Syria’s missile force is to be integrated. The joint command was formalized in a new mutual defense treaty signed by the Syrian defense minister, Gen. Hassan Turkmani in Tehran last week. Israeli military sources judge the operational merger of Iranian and Syrian missile corps to be a major strategic hazard to the Jewish state. Western and Israeli military experts connect it with other indications that Iran’s program for developing missiles capable of delivering nuclear payloads has gone into high gear and reached an advanced stage. They believe the Iranians have beaten most of the technical difficulties holding it up (Debkafile Aug. 11, 2008). “Tehran also views Syria’s co-option and the new mutual defense treaty as a sort of guarantee that Assad’s “peace talks” with Israel will in no way detract from his military and other commitments to Iran” (Ibid.). In other words, it is all right that Syria is talking peace with Israel as long as Syria will join Iran when they attack Israel. The new defense treaty will take priority over any peace talks. Please notice this missile partnership has reached the advanced stage. Israel’s secret service knows everything that is taking place between Syria and Iran and they are getting ready for war! Israel's Haaretz newspaper reported that Washington recently rejected an Israeli request for military equipment that US officials said indicated Israel was at the "advanced stages" of preparing an attack.” Israel has tried to get the UN to stop Iran’s nuclear plans without any results. A year ago Israel bombed Syria’s nuclear plant and Syria has been waiting for the right time to strike against Israel for what they did. When you put all these prophecies together, you see where we are headed. We have reached a crisis point where both side have reach the advanced stages of an attack. It is no mistake or fluke that both Syria and Iran have joined forces and is getting ready to strike at Israel. Jesus in Matthew 24 told us wars would come before He returned. In Ezekiel 38 God shows us one of these major wars that will take place against Israel. Isaiah showed us the other major war concerning the destruction of Damascus. Put all these current events together and lay them side by side with the prophecies and you get a clear picture as to what is about to take place.

When you read Ezekiel chapter 38 you will learn God told us the attack on Israel will come from the North. Recent developments in Syria and Lebanon again show us signs Ezekiel’s words are coming to pass. I quote, “In the interim, Hizballah’s rise to power in Beirut has brought Lebanon into the shared Syrian-Iranian orbit. This development has enabled Tehran to line up a row of missiles deployments of varying strengths from Iran, Syria and Lebanon and up to the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip – a missile array never before seen in the Middle East and a strategic menace most of Israel’s security leaders rate unacceptable”. Every nation who is to come against Israel is positioning themselves for this coming attack. Israel knows the missiles have been deployed just to the North of them and as you read from the breitbart report this is unacceptable to Israel. Israel is going to move very soon to take care of both the nuclear threat in Iran and the hundreds of missiles just to the North of them in Lebanon and Syria.
I want to leave you with this very important promise from Jesus Christ. He told us, “Pray always that you be accounted worthy to escape all these things and to stand before the Son of man” (Luke 21:36). There is a strong indication that those who are not keeping on the watch as Christ warned us to will miss being raptured. If you read what Jesus taught on this subject you will know if you are ready to meet Jesus when He calls us home.

Please take notice that in Rev. 3:3 Jesus tells the church at Sardis which was considered a dead church to repent from their ways and to WATCH, or what? I quote, “I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” Jesus is speaking to the dead church. What he is telling us here is that, He only comes to the dead church as a thief, not an alert and alive church, they will not be caught off guard. In Rev. 3:17-18 Jesus is now speaking to the church of Laodicea. This is another church that is not ready and Jesus calls this church a luke warm church. What happens to a luke warm church? Jesus in Rev. 3:16 says, “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor not, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Notice in those verses Jesus tells them to go and buy white raiment “that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear.” What most people don’t understand is what this white raiment really means. Another important fact is Jesus tell them in verse 18 to anoint your eyes with eye salve that you may see. Now I want to tie in what is written in Revelation 16 15. This will become clear to you why you have to make the connection. Rev. 16:15 says, “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.” Lets go back to Jewish traditions a law for a second and I will show you how this all fits in. During the time that the Jewish Temple was standing the High Priest and the captain of the guard were known as “The thief in the night” and, this is why. There were watch posts at the Temple were the priests had to be watching. One of the things they had to watch for was that the fire on the alter would not go out. This was a Godly fire that fell on the alter and it was commanded by God that this fire never go out. The priest had to watch this fire. If a priest was caught asleep and the captain of the guard came and saw the priest asleep he would take his torch which was set by the alter fire and set the priests garments on fire with his torch. The priest would then run through the Temple tearing off the garments that were on fire and, the shame of the priest nakedness would appear. Now you see how Rev. 16: 15 ties in. Now when you go back and read (1st Thessalonians 5:1-4) where Paul say, “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” You now know what is meant by the phrase, “as a thief in the night”. In other words when Jesus comes back and finds you asleep and not on the watch you will end up like the priest, running in your nakedness and in shame because you were not ready for His visitation.
Now lets look at Matthew 25: 1-13. Jesus here is talking to two group of virgins. One group was ready and on the watch and, prepare for the bridegroom to come. This is a picture of the church doing the will of the Father and keeping on the watch. Jesus here is again showing the Jewish wedding and His coming for His bride. Jesus said 5 virgins were ready and had oil in their lamps when the bridegroom came. Notice the bridegroom here comes at midnight as the custom in Jewish wedding, notice also he comes with a shout as is the custom. The 5 who were ready went in to be with the bridegroom and the door was shut. This is what will happen at the rapture of the church which we now believe will take place during the Feast of Trumpets on this Jewish Holiday. This is why it is so important to keep on the Watch at all times, especially during the Jewish Feasts. What about the other 5 virgins who were not ready to go out to the bridegroom when He came at midnight. Jesus tells us they didn’t prepare. These 5 virgins did not have oil in their lamps when He came at midnight so they had to go and buy oil to light the way. However, when they came back to the door of the bridegroom the door was shut and the Lord said “Verily I say unto you. I know you not”. This is a picture of all the people who were not on the watch and are kept outside the door of safety with the Lord. These 5 unprepared virgins is a picture of the all the people who will find themselves in the 7 year tribulation because they like the priests at the Temple fell asleep and they will be found as a thief in the night and become naked and ashamed.
Now look at the message Jesus gave about the good servants and the evil servants found in Luke 12. Verses :37-40 is the message to the good servant. “Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.” In Luke 12: 41-41 Jesus is now talking to the evil servants who were not doing the will of the Father, they were not watching for the thief in the night. Jesus said to these evil servants, “The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.”. These are the people who know better, they know the Lord’s will but they are not doing the Lord’s will. The next verse tells us in verse 47, “And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.” Are there so called believers who are not abiding in Christ today and are not doing the will of the Father? There are millions of them! These people we are told by Jesus that they knew His will yet didn’t follow His will. I speak with people who tell me they are Christians all the time, but upon questioning them about Christ and His will they haven’t a clue what I am taking about, nor they don’t see the importance of keeping on the watch as Jesus warned in so many places in His Word. In verse 41 Peter asks Jesus straight out, are you speaking this parable to us, or even to all? So his question goes to the core of the question who is the evil servant. Jesus answered Peter by telling him of the evil servants do not do the will of the Father. Once again we see a group of people being split in half. First there was the 10 virgins, 5 were wise and ready, 5 were not and were unprepared. Now we see good servants watching and doing the will of the Father who will be blessed, compare to the other half, the evil servants who know God’s will but are not doing His will and are not keeping watch, they are beaten.
Now let me ask you again, are you keeping on the Watch?
