The current conflict in Gaza has created a divide between not only the people of the world, but between Christians. Those who support “Israel” and those who do not.
One thing I believe both sides can agree on: the “Jews” are still waiting for Messiah (the Lion of Judah) and we know He’s already been here (the Lamb of God) and is coming back (the Lion of Judah). The term “Jews” or “Jewish” refers to different things:
Jews who practice the Judaic religion
Jew: Someone who came from Judea, per the Biblical definition of the word- although it is easier to say Jew or Jewish when speaking of an Hebraic person
Hebrew (Nationality): Abraham’s descendants, including Ishmael’s; HOWEVER there are covenant Hebrew’s (Isaac) and NON COVENANT Hebrews (Ishmael’s descendants)
Israeli: Anyone who lives in the Land (this means the Land defined by God in Gen. 11-13, chopped up again in Num. 34 & Jos. 13-22)
Let us not forget that Jesus tells us “we are grafted in” as Gentiles. That means we are NOT Jewish by nationality or religion, but Israeli by being grafted. It also means that Christianity is ‘grafted into’ the Judaic religion. Take a look at the Old Testament if you question this.
A whole new concept has now crept in called “Zionists”.
The End Times are here. There is no denying it. But splitting those who love Jesus because of mis-information and ‘conspiracy theories” is the worst thing the Body of Christ can do in the world today. It is time for some factual education and research.
Let’s start with some basic information:
The Tanakh is the Jewish Bible. It includes:
The Torah– the Holy book which is the 1st 5 books of our Bible (sometimes called the books of Moses)
The Nevi’im (the Haftarah) – the prophets such as Joel, Ezekiel, etc.
The Kethuvim– the writings such as Psalms and Proverbs.
Another book referred to is the Talmud. I’m sorry to say but the Talmud is NOT the Bible. It is a central text of Rabbinic Judaism (also known as the Shas), containing the teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis on a variety of subjects.
There are 2 Talmuds: The Babylonian Talmud and the Jerusalem Talmud (Talmud de-Eretz Yisrael); the difference being (as you can see from the titles, where they were written).
The Talmud is divided into 2 parts:
the Mishnah (oral Torah- according to Rabbinic Judaism the oral torah represents the laws and interpretations NOT recorded in the Written Torah) and
the Germara (other subjects)

Yes Jesus was Jewish; did He hear Rabbinic teachings from the Talmud? According to historical research the answer is NO. Jesus was a contemporary of Pontius Pilate, who held office between 26 to 36 AD. We know Jesus was 33 when He died. If the BC/AD (now CE) is applied then Jesus died in 33 AD/CE. The Mishnah of the Talmud wasn’t even written until 200 AD/CE, the Germara until 350 AD/CE.
Now here I will interject something: there has NEVER been one thing I have found that Jesus said that is recorded in our Holy Bible that cannot be traced back to the Old Testament (Torah/Tanakh). It becomes very dangerous to live as LAW things that God Himself did not say. We see this in the ‘extra’ books of Mormon, Catholicism and again I would venture to say, in the Talmud.

It is obvious that the Rabbis who wrote the Talmud extensively studied Torah and Tanakh. I am not questioning that at all. What I AM questioning is what you will see below.
Denominations (types) of Judaism- yes they have denominations just like Christians 🙂
Orthodoxy modern classification for the traditional section of Jewry that upholds the halakhic way of life as illustrated in a divinely ordained Torah. Halakha refers to the legal aspect of Judaism, and is also used to indicate a definitive ruling in any particular area of Jewish law.
Modern Orthodoxy– Modern Orthodoxy, in general, places a high national, as well as religious, significance on the State of Israel, and Modern Orthodox institutions and individuals are, typically, Zionist in orientation.
Haredi Judaism– Haredi Judaism advocates segregation from non-Jewish culture, although not from non-Jewish society entirely. It is characterised by its focus on community-wide Torah study. Haredi Orthodoxy’s differences with Modern Orthodoxy usually lie in interpretation of the nature of traditional halakhic concepts and in acceptable application of these concepts
Hasidic Judaism–Hasidic or Chasidic Judaism overlaps significantly with Haredi Judaism in its engagement with the secular and commercial world, and as regards social issues. In addition to bridging this class gap, Hasidic teachings sought to reintroduce joy in the performance of the commandments and in prayer through the popularisation of Jewish mysticism (Kabbalah)
Reform Judaism subjects religious law and customs to human judgment, attempting to differentiate between the facets of the Torah that are divine mandate and those that are specific to the time in which they were written.
Conservative Judaism developed mainly in the twentieth century as a reaction to Reform Judaism’s liberalism. It sought to conserve tradition by applying new, historical methods of study within the boundaries of Jewish law to the mainstream of American society. It is the largest denomination of the four.
Reconstructionism is the most recent denomination within Judaism, and, rejecting the assertion that the Torah was given to Moses at Mount Sinai, views Judaism as a continual process of evolution, incorporating the inherited Jewish beliefs and traditions with the needs of the modern world.

It is a commonplace in the media to speak of a Jewish-Arab, or Jewish – Palestinian conflict. Others even refer to a Jewish -Islamic conflict.
In our view, all these descriptions of the Middle Eastern troubles are false. Very dangerously false.
We maintain that Jews and Judaism have no conflict with Arabs, Muslims, Palestinians or any other group.
In the nineteenth century many segments of European society began to throw off the yoke of heaven. Assorted heretical movements grew up, which attracted both Jew and Gentile. Communism, evolutionism, Bible criticism, assorted forms of religious and secular liberalism, the Jewish Reform movements and scores of others, lured millions away from G-d and His law.
Born of this spirit of Godlessness, severed from all links with the Torah and Jewish tradition and in opposition to the nearly unanimous voice of Rabbis and Sages, we find at the end of the nineteenth century, a new movement that became known as Zionism. Throughout the twentieth century, Zionists sought to drive masses of Jews towards Palestine in order to conquer the land by immigration. One of the greatest tragedies that Zionism has brought about is the identification of Zionism with Judaism and Zionists with Jewry in the popular mind, both Jewish and non – Jewish.
The conflict in the Middle East is fundamentally about the abandonment of Torah Judaism by the Zionists and their subsequent rejection of the Divinely imposed, exilic agenda of peace, humility and piety. In their two thousand years of Divinely decreed exile no Jew ever sought to end this exile and establish independent political sovereignty anywhere. The people’s sole purpose was the study and fulfillment of the Divine commandments of the Torah. ACCORDING TO THE JEWISH FAITH AND TORAH LAW THE JEWISH PEOPLE ARE FORBIDDEN TO HAVE THEIR OWN STATE WHILE AWAITING THE MESSIANIC ERA!
First, let’s tackle a few of things he said above:

Again, the Talmud are EXPLAINATIONS, not the Word of God. Again, the Talmud wasn’t even written until 200 AD.
Take a look at the verses below, which by the way are from the Haftarah, read EACH Sabbath after the Torah portion. Reading the Haftarah came into being n 168 BCE (BC), when the Jews were under the rule of the Seleucid king Antiochus IV Epiphanes (of Chanukah infamy), and they were forbidden to read from the Torah. The decree, however, was limited to the Five Books of Moses, so the sages instituted that a section of the Prophets be read instead, usually an idea that was related to the Torah reading that should have been read that week.
***Depending on the ‘denomination’ of Judaic religion, the Haftarah portions appear to change. Is it possible that different denominations change what the people hear on Shabbat in order to reflect their own views? I can say nothing definitive, but take a look at what IS in their Haftarah. Do they choose to read it? That is something only THEY can answer. But choose or not- it’s there in God’s Word.

Therefore I would say the basic definition of Zionist/Zionism (without all the current hoopla) would be those longing for the land of Zion. That just happens to be the current state of Israel, established in 1948. However, that is where the “conspiracies” begin.
Before we go any further, am I saying ALL Jews are good people, even the so called Zionists? No…no person is perfect and there is as much evil in the state of Israel as there is anywhere else. THAT is why Jesus came!
Did God say He would return His people to THEIR land? Yes He did (see verses above). Is God capable of using earthly occurrences – such as war- to make His Word come to pass? Most definitely!!
Before I can even get the ‘declarations’ I must explain WHERE the term “Palestine” originated. The Bible never uses the name of “Palestine”, but calls it the land “Judah” or “Israel”. Mt. 2:20-21: “Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead who sought the young child’s life. And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.”To understand this name we must look at some historical background. In Joel 3:4: “Indeed, what have you to do with Me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia? The Philistines were not Middle Eastern or Arab. The Philistines are believed to be an Aegean people (from the Adriatic sea near Greece.) who, in the 12th Century BC, settled along the Mediterranean coast of what is called the Gaza Strip. After the second Jewish revolt under Bar Cochba (A.D. 132-135) it is said the Roman emperor Hadrian renamed the land of Israel and Judea as Palastina (‘Palestine’) after the ancient enemies of the Jews – the Philistines. Because of his hatred of the Jews, it was meant to be an insult to dishonor them and remove their history.
Here is the history of how the Jews came to be in the original land God gave them:
In 1896, Theodor Herzl, a Jewish journalist living in Austria-Hungary, published Der Judenstaat (“The Jews’ State” or “The State of the Jews” – sometimes erroneously translated as “The Jewish State” although Herzl did not mean it as such. He meant a state for the Jews; not a Jewish state), in which he asserted that the only solution to the “Jewish Question” in Europe, including growing antisemitism, was through the establishment of a state for the Jews. Political Zionism had just been born.[4] A year later, Herzl founded the Zionist Organization (ZO), which at its first congress, “called for the establishment of a home for the Jewish people in Palestine secured under public law”. Serviceable means to attain that goal included the promotion of Jewish settlement there, the organization of Jews in the diaspora, the strengthening of Jewish feeling and consciousness, and preparatory steps to attain those necessary governmental grants. The Zionist Organization served as an umbrella organization for the Zionist movement, whose objective was the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine
After Herzi’s passing, Chaim Weizmann comes into the picture. Arthur James Balfour was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from July 1902 to December 1905. During the first meeting between Chaim Weizmann and Balfour in 1906, Balfour asked what Weizmann’s objections were to the idea of a Jewish homeland in Uganda, (the Uganda Protectorate in East Africa in the British Uganda Program), rather than in Palestine. According to Weizmann’s memoir, the conversation went as follows:
“Mr. Balfour, supposing I was to offer you Paris instead of London, would you take it?” He sat up, looked at me, and answered: “But Dr. Weizmann, we have London.” “That is true,” I said, “but we had Jerusalem when London was a marsh.” He … said two things which I remember vividly. The first was: “Are there many Jews who think like you?” I answered: “I believe I speak the mind of millions of Jews whom you will never see and who cannot speak for themselves.” To this he said: “If that is so you will one day be a force.”
Weizmann was also a biochemist who developed the acetone–butanol–ethanol fermentation process, which produces acetone through bacterial fermentation. David Lloyd-George, then minister for munitions in 1915, was grateful to Weizmann and so supported his Zionist aspirations.
McMahon–Hussein Correspondence-
Henry McMahon (British diplomat and Indian Army officer who served as the High Commissioner in Egypt from 1915 to 1917) had exchanged letters with Hussein bin Ali, Sharif of Mecca in 1915, in which he had promised Hussein control of Arab lands with the exception of “portions of Syria“ lying to the west of “the districts of Damascus, Homs, Hama and Aleppo“. Palestine lay to the southwest of the Vilayet of Damascus and wasn’t explicitly mentioned. That modern-day Lebanese region of the Mediterranean coast was set aside as part of a future French Mandate. After the war (WWI) the extent of the coastal exclusion was hotly disputed. Hussein had protested that the Arabs of Beirut would greatly oppose isolation from the Arab state or states, but did not bring up the matter of Jerusalem or Palestine. On the basis of McMahon’s assurances the Arab Revolt began on 5 June 1916 (initiated by the Sherif Hussein bin Ali with the aim of securing independence from the ruling Ottoman Turks and creating a single unified Arab state spanning from Aleppo in Syria to Aden in Yemen.).
However, the British and French also secretly concluded the Sykes–Picot Agreement on 16 May 1916. This agreement divided many Arab territories into British- and French-administered areas and allowed for the internationalization of Palestine.
Sykes–Picot Agreement
May 1916 the governments of the United Kingdom, France and Russia signed the Sykes–Picot Agreement, which defined their proposed spheres of influence and control in Western Asia should the Triple Entente succeed in defeating the Ottoman Empire during World War I. The agreement effectively divided the Arab provinces of the Ottoman Empire outside the Arabian peninsula into areas of future British and French control or influence. In 1916 is also when David Lloyd George became the PM of the UK. Prime Minister David Lloyd George of the United Kingdom supported the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine because “it would help secure post-war British control of Palestine, which was strategically important as a buffer to Egypt and the Suez Canal.” Remember, he was also grateful to Weizmann.
Balfour Declaration (1917) was a letter from the United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Baron Rothschild (Lionel Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild), a leader of the British Jewish community, for transmission to the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland. Rothschild was a British Jewish banker and politician. As an active Zionist and close friend of Chaim Weizmann, he worked to formulate the draft declaration for a Jewish homeland in Palestine. I have heard it said that Rothschild was an atheist humanist. This is false. The 3rd Baron Rothschild (Nathaniel Victor, Walter’s NEPHEW) was an atheist.
His Majesty’s government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.
So basically this Declaration announced the British intent to aid the “establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.”
Hussein learned of the agreement when it was leaked by the new Russian government in December 1917, but was satisfied by two disingenuous telegrams from Sir Reginald Wingate, British general and administrator in Egypt, assuring him that the British government’s commitments to the Arabs were still valid and that the Sykes-Picot Agreement was not a formal treaty. Wingate called on the Arab population in Palestine to welcome the Jews as brethren and co-operate with them for the common welfare. Following the publication of the Declaration the British had dispatched Commander David George Hogarth to see Hussein in January 1918 bearing the message that the “political and economic freedom” of the Palestinian population was not in question. Hogarth reported that Hussein “would not accept an independent Jewish State in Palestine, nor was I instructed to warn him that such a state was contemplated by Great Britain”. Continuing Arab disquiet over Allied intentions also led during 1918 to the British Declaration to the Seven and the Anglo-French Declaration, the latter promising “the complete and final liberation of the peoples who have for so long been oppressed by the Turks, and the setting up of national governments and administrations deriving their authority from the free exercise of the initiative and choice of the indigenous populations.”
Faisal–Weizmann Agreement was signed on 3 January 1919, by Emir Faisal (son of the King of Hejaz), who was for a short time King of the Arab Kingdom of Syria or Greater Syria in 1920, and was King of the Kingdom of Iraq (today, Iraq) from August 1921 to 1933, and Chaim Weizmann as part of the Paris Peace Conference, 1919 settling disputes stemming from World War I. It was a short-lived agreement for Arab-Jewish cooperation on the development of a Jewish homeland in Palestine and an Arab nation in a large part of the Middle East.
Churchill White Paper– June 1922 clarified how Britain viewed the Balfour Declaration, 1917. “The tension which has prevailed from time to time in Palestine is mainly due to apprehensions, which are entertained both by sections of the Arab and by sections of the Jewish population. These apprehensions, so far as the Arabs are concerned are partly based upon exaggerated interpretations of the meaning of the [Balfour] Declaration favoring the establishment of a Jewish National Home in Palestine, made on behalf of His Majesty’s Government on 2 November 1917.” ‘Unauthorized statements have been made to the effect that the purpose in view is to create a wholly Jewish Palestine. Phrases have been used such as that Palestine is to become “as Jewish as England is English.” His Majesty’s Government regard any such expectation as impracticable and have no such aim in view. They would draw attention to the fact that the terms of the Declaration referred to do not contemplate that Palestine as a whole should be converted into a Jewish National Home, but that such a Home should be founded “in Palestine.” In this connection it has been observed with satisfaction that at a meeting of the Zionist Congress, the supreme governing body of the Zionist Organization, held at Carlsbad in September, 1921, a resolution was passed expressing as the official statement of Zionist aims “the determination of the Jewish people to live with the Arab people on terms of unity and mutual respect, and together with them to make the common home into a flourishing community, the upbuilding of which may assure to each of its peoples an undisturbed national development”‘. This then is the interpretation which His Majesty’s Government place upon the Declaration of 1917, and, so understood, the Secretary of State is of opinion that it does not contain or imply anything which need cause either alarm to the Arab population of Palestine or disappointment to the Jews.’ Having clarified the understanding and intent of the British government, the White Paper continues, outlining measures to assist in attaining the objectives
The “Balfour Declaration” was later incorporated into the Sèvres peace treaty with the Ottoman Empire and the Mandate for Palestine (the legal commission for the British to administrate the areas laid out in the Sykes-Picot agreement)- the draft of the Mandate was formally confirmed by the Council of the League of Nations on 24 July 1922. The mandate formalized British rule in the southern part of Ottoman Syria from 1923–1948.
I’ve heard all the theories on Zionism- ties to the occult, Netanyahu being a Mason, the land given to Rothschild in the Balfour Declaration, ad infinitum.
This MY opinion: I cannot find ONE SHRED of truth to any of it from any CREDIBLE source. If I didn’t know better- instead of saying that the “Zionist” propaganda was in ‘league with Satan’ for the anti-Christ, I would say the spread of and division between Israel/Jews and “Zionists” WAS THE PLOT of the enemy. Separate God’s chosen people from the land He gave them by sowing seeds of confusion and doubt. “If we call them Zionists instead of Jews and make it political…well then we’ve got it made. PLUS we have all of Ishmael to help us” (think of CS Lewis’ the Screwtape Letters). What I see here are a people of God longing for the land He gave them.
As the world MOURNS for the “Palestinians” being displaced….what about the Hebrews? According to the Bible…they are STILL displaced! Bottom line: this is about a man, his wife and his ‘mistress’. Isaac and Ishmael. The Covenant and the Blessed, who aren’t happy with not being the inheritance. It’s big lesson for us on what happens when we don’t wait on God.
Did God EVER once say that the enemy wouldn’t stick his nose into the restoration? No. But like it or not, our God is bigger than the enemy and quite able to use Satan’s ‘tricks’ to fulfill HIS DIVINE WORD.
Before this split in the body of Christ grows larger, I would ask each of you to PLEASE: get your nose out of You Tube, conspiracies sites, stop listening to every little thing that someone says about Zionists versus Jews. Get yourselves into God’s Word- not the Talmud, not other writings meant to ‘help you understand’ Him…HIS WORD.
We are here to stand for God’s Word; here to watch as Christ instructed the Father’s Words come to pass, not question HOW they pass.
The time is too close. We must work together to spread the Gospel, not more rumors or information that may or may not be real. The Gospel. God will do as He wills. Our job, brothers and sisters, is to turn our eyes upon Jesus as we await His Glorious Return.

There is so much "information" on the Internet these days that I can't believe what is being said about this War. I only believe what God says in the Bible, and your honest posts that can be verified in God's word. You have truly been blessed, Frank.
