In my book I cover the prophecy Jesus gave us concerning ten kings who will hand all their power over to the Antichrist. I cover the WEU and the ECO which are two groups of nations that are made up of ten nations.  In light of what has been happening I need to add the following information to my book.  As you will see there is the chance that the WEU and the ECO may not be the ten nations which has ten kings that hand over their power to the beast.  The information below will be added in my new book when it is finished.

Earlier in this chapter I stated there is the possibility the ten WEU nations may not be the ten Jesus warned us about, and there are hints to this affect which I will cover later.  Now I want to show you why I stated that.  If the WEU or the ten ECO Islamic nations aren’t the ten kings Jesus warned about, could there be another group of ten we should be looking at?  I want to show you one other possibility as to who the ten may be.  Like the European Union there have been other nations that have been merging together as one union.  Fact is, we see these unions of nations coming together.  Here is the list of the ten unions.

First there is the African Union which is made up of 53 nations. “The African Union (abbreviated AU in English, and UA in its other official languages) is an intergovernmental organisation consisting of 53 African states. Established on 9 July 2002,[4] the AU was formed as a successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU). The most important decisions of the AU are made by the Assembly of the African Union, a semi-annual meeting of the heads of state and government of its member states. The AU's secretariat, the African Union Commission, is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Union).

The second union is the South American Union. “The Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) is an intergovernmental union integrating two existing customs unions: Mercosur and the Andean Community, as part of a continuing process of South American integration. It is modelled on the European Union. This union was established on December 8, 2004 and it consists of 12 nations. “The group announced their intention to model the new community after the European Union including a common currency, parliament, and passport. According to Allan Wagner Tizón, former Secretary General of the Andean Community, a complete union like that of the EU should be possible by 2019” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_of_South_American_Nations).

The third union that seems to be in the process of coming together is the North American Union known as the NAU.  This is a theoretical economic and monetary union of the three principal countries of North America, namely Canada, the United States, and Mexico.  It is believed that when the U.S. dollar dies these three nations will form one union with one common currency.  This is one reason why many people in the U.S. believe the U.S. Government is not going out of there way to enforce the Mexican illegal boarder crossings.

The fourth union is the Mediterranean Union. The Union for the Mediterranean, previously known as the "Mediterranean Union" is a community initiated on 13 July 2008 by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, as a development of the Euromediterranean Partnership. The act unites all EU members with several non-EU countries that border the Mediterranean Sea. The headquarters of the Union for the Mediterranean are located in Barcelona, Spain.  There are 43 nations in this union. A list of these nations can be viewed at the following site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_for_the_Mediterranean.

The fifth union is the Central American Union. “Central American Integration System (Spanish: Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana; SICA) is the economic, cultural and political organization of Central American states since February 1st, 1993. It was in December 13, 1991, however, when all the countries of the ODECA (Spanish: Organización de Estados Centroamericanos; ODECA) signed the Protocol of Tegucigalpa which extended the earlier cooperation in search for regional peace, political freedom, democracy and economic development. The headquarters of the General Secretariat of SICA is in the Republic of El Salvador” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_American_Integration_System).  This union is made up of eight nations.

The sixth union is the Golf Union which is in the process of being formed.  There are five nations coming together in this union.  Here are a few reports showing this union is almost complete.  “Dubai: The Gulf states are moving ahead with plans for Gulf monetary union as the final draft has been approved, according to an economist at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).  The Central Bank governors of five Gulf States are still deliberating on the timeline after a meeting in Jeddah on Tuesday but Fabio Scacciavillani, economist at DIFC believes that they will meet the Monetary Union January 2010 deadline” (Golfnews.com Sept. 22, 2008).  “The Gulf monetary union pact has come into effect,” said Kuwait’s finance minister, Mustafa al-Shamali, speaking at a Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) summit in Kuwait. The move will give the hyper-rich club of oil exporters a petro-currency of their own, greatly increasing their influence in the global exchange and capital markets and potentially displacing the US dollar as the pricing currency for oil contracts” (Telegraph.co.uk Dec. 15, 2009).

The seventh union is the Caribbean Union. The Caribbean Community (CARICOM), is an organization of 15 Caribbean nations and dependencies. CARICOM's main purposes are to promote economic integration and cooperation among its members, to ensure that the benefits of integration are equitably shared, and to coordinate foreign policy.[1] Its major activities involve coordinating economic policies and development planning; devising and instituting special projects for the less-developed countries within its jurisdiction; operating as a regional single market for many of its members (Caricom Single Market); and handling regional trade disputes. The secretariat headquarters is based in Georgetown, Guyana” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caribbean_Community).

The eight union is the Asian Union. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, commonly abbreviated ASEAN is a geo-political and economic organization of 10 countries located in Southeast Asia, which was formed on 8 August 1967 by Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Since then, membership has expanded to include Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Its aims include the acceleration of economic growth, social progress, cultural development among its members, the protection of the peace and stability of the region, and to provide opportunities for member countries to discuss differences peacefully.  The Progressive Policy Institute wrote about this union and stated, “The 21st century has brought rapid integration of the Asian economy, and the emergence of what can be termed an informal "Asian Union." For the first time, China's manpower and low costs are united with the money and technology of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. China's emergence as America's most visible source of goods thus reflects a structural change in the Asian economy more than it reflects new Chinese trade or labor policies. The development offers economic and security opportunities, carries with it potential sources of risk and financial instability, and also means a powerful new competitive challenge” (PPI | Policy Report | May 13, 2004).

The ninth union is the Asian Pacific Union.” The Pacific Union is a proposed development of the Pacific Islands Forum, suggested in 2003 by a committee of the Australian Senate, into a political and economic intergovernmental community. The union, if formed, will have a common charter, institutions and currency. Although the former Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard, spoke of a Pacific Union whilst in office, his government's emphasis was focused on bilateral relations and agreements with the individual states of the Forum” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Union).

The tenth union I covered in detail in this chapter, which you now know as the European Union.  As of April 23, 2010 there are still 27 nations in this union.

Here is what to look for in the near future.  If the Asian Pacific Union and the North American Union finalize as the rest of the unions have done we will have ten unions of nations.  Each one of these unions has a leader heading up these unions and could be referred to as a king as we see in Christ’s warning.  Let us assume we witness the ten unions.  When the Antichrist steps on the world scene as a result of a globel crisis we could see the ten leaders of these ten unions hand over all their power to the Antichrist.  None of us should be closed minded to the events going on around us.
