Headline: Palestinians file ICC report over deadly Duma firebombing
Violence rocked the West Bank and Jerusalem’s Old City over the weekend in the aftermath of a suspected Jewish terrorist attack that killed a Palestinian toddler and seriously wounded his parents and four-year-old brother. Clashes broke out between security personnel and Palestinians in Judea and Samaria and on the Gaza border following a fire in Duma, near Nablus, early Friday morning, when two masked men broke the windows of two homes and threw fire bombs inside. One building was empty at the time, but the second had a family inside, and the flames spread, killing 18-month-old Ali Dawabsha. The arsonists scrawled graffiti in Hebrew reading “Revenge” on the house, alongside a Star of David.
The other three members of the Dawabsha family were airlifted to Israeli hospitals. A representative of Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer said that both mother Reham and four-year-old Ahmed remained in critical condition on Saturday evening. At Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba, father Saad also remained in critical condition Saturday, a hospital spokesman said. In the violence that followed between Palestinians and security forces, the IDF killed one Palestinian by the Gaza border and another just outside Ramallah. Security forces are braced for the possibility that the violence will continue. “Tensions in the past two weeks in Judea and Samaria have all drained into this most severe incident,” IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Moti Almoz said. “We are coordinating with PA security forces to calm the area.”

Headline: Jerusalem: Two Injured in Molotov Cocktail Attack
A 27 year-old woman was injured Monday night after a terrorist threw a Molotov cocktail at her car in Jerusalem. The incident occurred near the Arab neighborhood of Beit Hanina, near the Ben-Zion interchange, Magen David Adom (MDA) stated. MDA medics gave her medical treatment and took her to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital with first and second-degreee burns on 15% of her body. She is reportedly fully conscious and stable. Her husband was rescued from the vehicle and was not injured. The vehicle was completely burned. The MDA ambulance also transported a young man of about 20, a volunteer with United Hatzalah, with burns on his upper limbs after inhaling smoke while trying to extinguish the burning car with a fire extinguisher to hospital for treatment. A manhunt is currently underway for the perpetrators.

Headline: Russian FM meets Hamas leader, offers help toward statehood
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Khaled Mashaal, the exiled leader of the Hamas terror group, in Doha Monday and offered to help the Palestinians in their pursuit of statehood. “We would like to see the Palestinians — all of them — have their permanent home,” Lavrov said, according to Russian media reports, adding that Moscow would be working toward that goal. “We hope that with assistance from Russia and the whole world, this dream will come true,” Mashaal responded. During the meeting, the two discussed the possibility of reconciliation between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, and what Mashaal termed Israel’s “violation of Christian and Muslim holy sites.” Mashaal also presented Lavrov with a survey showing the living conditions of Gaza residents one year after the group’s devastating war with Israel. Lavrov invited Mashaal to Moscow to continue the discussion of the Palestinian statehood initiatives.

“Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! 2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. 4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” (Psalm 83)

Headline: Jordan Demands UN ‘End Israeli Occupation’
Jordan is joining forces with the Palestinian Authority (PA) to demand that the UN Security Council (UNSC) “end the Israeli occupation,” in a call following the lethal arson that killed an Arab infant and wounded four others last Friday at the village of Duma in Samaria. The IDF has indicated Jewish extremists may have been behind the arson, given the presence of Hebrew graffiti at the site, and that pronouncement has sparked a cavalcade of condemnation by Israeli and international politicians against “Jewish terror” – which was followed quickly by a wave of Arab terror attacks. The Jordanian paper Al-Rad reported Monday that Jordan and the PA are preparing to issue a demand that the UNSC “provide international defense for the Palestinian nation and to put an end to the Israeli occupation.” Jordanian King Abdullah II is planning to meet with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the arson, according to the paper. Jordan lost no time in blaming the Israeli government for the arson, even though the identity of the culprits remains unknown, and the PA has likewise announced it will bring the case to the UN Human Rights Committee (UNHRC), as well as the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Headline: Hezbollah presses elite Radwan Force for conquering Galilee into saving stalled Zabadani battle
Headline: Hezbollah pushes on in Zabadani, loses four fighters
Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force was originally designed to push in from Lebanon and conquer the Israeli Galilee. debkafile’s exclusive military sources report that on Thursday, July 30 Hassan Nasralla saw he had no option but to press this high-value contingent into service ,to extricate the combined Hezbollah-Syrian armies from their month-long failure to recapture the key town of Zabadani – or even breach the defenses set up by the Al-Qaeda affiliated rebel Nusra Front. This standoff with heavy casualties over the key town, which commands the main Damascus-Beirut highway, has become a symbolic make-or-break duel between the Iran-backed Shiite Hezbollah and Al Qaeda’s Sunni Nusra Front. Nasrallah loses it at the cost of his organization’s credibility as a formidable fighting force. Defeat would make western Damascus and eastern Lebanon more vulnerable to attack. And for Iran’s Lebanese proxy, it would leave an embarrassing question hanging in the air: If Hezbollah under Iranian command combined with Syrian troops and backed by heavy artillery fire and air strikes can’t win a relatively small battle against no more than 1,200 rebel fighters across a nine-km square battleground, how much are its leaders’ boasts worth when they claim unbeatable prowess for winning major battles, including a war on Israel? To save face in this landmark showdown, Hezbollah decided to press into battle its most prestigious unit, named for Al-Hajj Radwan, the nom de guerre of Hezbollah’s renowned military chief Imad Mughniye, whom Israel took out in February 2008.

Headline: Top ISIL leader in Sinai dies in shootout with Egyptian forces
Egyptian security forces killed a top leader of the affiliate of Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) during a shootout in North Sinai on Aug. 1. An Egyptian army spokesman said Selim Suleiman al-Haram, identified as a leader of the terrorist group Sinai Province, was asked to turn himself in by a group of soldiers who surrounded his house in the town of Sheikh Zuweid. Al-Haram refused, opened fire on the soldiers and then attempted to blow himself up before being killed, the army spokesman said. Sinai Province, which has pledged allegiance to ISIL, claimed responsibility for a bombing in Rafah at the Gaza border late last month that killed four Egyptian soldiers. The confrontation with al-Haram comes as Egypt has increased cooperation with Saudi Arabia, sealing the “Cairo Declaration” that will see the two countries establish a joint Arab military force and define their maritime borders in the Red Sea. “At this current period which the Arab world is facing, we need to work together, because the threats are many, and we will not overcome them unless we work together,” said Egyptian President Abdul Fatah Sisi.

Syria Headline: US says may take ‘additional steps’ to defend Syria allies
The United States has decided to allow airstrikes to defend Syrian rebels trained by the U.S. military from any attackers, even if the enemies hail from forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, U.S. officials said on Sunday. The decision by President Barack Obama, which could deepen the U.S. role in Syria’s conflict, aims to shield a still-fledging group of Syrian fighters armed and trained by the United States to battle Islamic State militants — not forces loyal to Assad. But in Syria’s messy civil war, Islamic State is only one of the threats to the U.S. recruits. The first batch of U.S.-trained forces deployed to northern Syria came under fire on Friday from other militants, triggering the first known U.S. airstrikes to support them. U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity to confirm details of the decision, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, said the United States would provide offensive strikes to support advances against Islamic State targets. The United States would also provide defensive support to repel any attackers.

Syria Headline: Syria warplane crashes, killing and wounding many
Activists say air raids and the subsequent crash of a Syrian warplane in a residential area in the northwestern town of Ariha has killed and wounded dozens of people. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and the Local Coordination Committees had no immediate specific death toll for the violence Monday. The town of Ariha, once a government stronghold, was captured by opposition fighters and Islamic militants in May. The Observatory and the Local Coordination Committees said that at the time of the crash, the town was under attack by the air force of embattled Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Syria Headline: Pro-Assad forces use residential buildings for military operations in Hama
With the continuous advance of opposition fighters in the countryside of Hama, pro-Assad forces intensified security measures in villages in the vicinity of Sahl al-Ghab area, military sources reported on Sunday. Pro-Assad armed forces use residential buildings as bases for their operations against opposition fighters, which caused a wave of mass displacement among civilians, who escaped towards safer areas in Hama province. The battles led to the regime’s control of the Zeyzoun power station after bombing it with more than 60 airstrikes, using spatial rockets and cluster bombs. In the meantime, local activists reported that the pro-regime warplanes bombed areas in the al-Awn village and the town of Maskana in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, while several mortar shells hit the Mashariqa neighborhood of Aleppo, causing dozens of casualties among civilians. Also on Sunday, the pro-regime forces pounded the opposition-held city of Zabadani with dozens of ground-to-ground rockets, coinciding with heavy shelling with artillery and tanks from at-Tal and al-Aqaba fronts. The city of Arbeen in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus was exposed to airstrikes by Syrian air force. No reports of casualties.

Kurdish Headline: Iraqi Kurds warn PKK amid Turkey air strikes
Iraq’s Kurdistan region has urged Turkish Kurd separatist forces of the PKK to leave civilian areas amid continuing Turkish air strikes. The call follows reports that civilians have been killed in Turkish raids on PKK targets which resumed a week ago. Turkey’s official news agency says about 260 Kurdish fighters have been killed in strikes in northern Iraq and Turkey itself since then. The PKK has not released any casualty figures. Turkey has carried out hundreds of raids on the rebel group’s bases on both sides of the Iraq-Turkey border. At the same time, it is bombing Islamic State militants in Syria in an effort to push them back from Turkey’s borders. Turkey had not previously been involved in fighting in Syria’s conflict. Further Turkish air raids were reported overnight, this time in the Rawanduz area east of Erbil, capital of Iraq’s Kurdish region. At least six people were killed and several more wounded in the town of Zarkel, local officials said. They reportedly included at least two women.

Headline: Islamic State claims camp in Pakistan’s tribal areas
A social media account linked to the Islamic State recently tweeted out two photos purporting to show a training camp in Pakistan’s northwest tribal areas. The images cannot be independently confirmed by The Long War Journal, however, the Islamic State’s Wilayat Khorasan [Khorasan Province], which operates in Afghanistan and Pakistan, is known to operate training camps right across the border in Afghanistan. In one tweet, the Islamic State supporter said that a “Caravan of Baitullah Mehsud in Waziristan pledged allegiance to the Islamic State Wilayat Khorasan.” It is not clear if the camp is located in North or South Waziristan, but the photos show the fighters in a heavily mountainous area, within a compound on the mountainside. The banner shown in the photos reads “Shahid Hakeemullah Mehsud camp, Islamic State.” The references to Baitullah Mehsud, the founder of the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan, and Hakeemullah Mehsud, the group’s previous emir, indicates that the Islamic State fighters in Waziristan likely defected from the Mehsud branch of the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan. Both Baitullah and Hakeemullah were killed in US drone strikes. While the Islamic State’s Khorasan Province has absorbed disaffected members of the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan, it has yet to establish a permanent presence in Pakistan’s tribal areas. If the images released by the Islamic State supporter are legitimate, then the Khorasan province now has a foothold in Waziristan, the epicenter of al Qaeda’s base of support in Pakistan.

A tractor laden with explosives was driven at a military police station, a statement said. The attack happened early on Sunday near the town of Dogubayezit in Agri province, near the border with Iran. Since 24 July, Turkey has carried out hundreds of air raids on PKK bases on both sides of the Iraq-Turkey border. A Turkish state news agency, Anadolu, said the tractor was carrying two tons of explosives that were detonated by a suicide bomber. Headline: Iran’s ayatollah publishes 416-page guide to destroying Israel and rails against the ‘American Great Satan’ – despite nuclear deal. The supreme leader of Iran has reportedly published a 416-page guide to wiping Israel off the map, in which he decries the Jewish state as an ally of ‘the American Great Satan’. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the head of the Muslim nation, is said to have released the extensive plan, which recommends driving Israelis out of the Middle East with endless war, even as his officials were bargaining with the White House. Despite the good faith with which Iran claims it struck its nuclear deal with the White House and other nations, the alleged publication seems to show no let-up in violent anti-American rhetoric inside the nation’s borders. According to the New York Post, which claims it was sent a copy of the book, called Palestine, the book outlines a strategy for a decades-long ‘jihad’ which first sees Israel brought under Islamic rule, followed by much of the rest of the world. The Post said that the book describes a war of attrition to force Jews out of their nation, by continually harassing the borders and making everyday life difficult for citizens. Khamenei reportedly asserts that the strategy will convince many Jews to abandoned Israel in favor of an easier life in America or Europe. Keeping up the pressure on the borders will apparently bring about what Khamenei calls ‘Israel fatigue’ in the international community, which he reportedly claims will tire of helping the state. With many Jews out of the picture, the Post claims, the region’s dynamics will have changed so much that local Palestinians will be able to force a vote to establish a Muslim state where Israel now stands, and take it over.

Headline: Iran plans missile tests to flaunt defiance of Vienna deal and UNSC resolution
Shortly before US Secretary of State John Kerry was due in Qatar Monday, Aug. 3, Iran’s highest authorities led by supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Sunday launched a public campaign to support Tehran’s noncompliance with the Vienna nuclear accord and UN Security Council Resolution 2231 of July 20, on its ballistic missile program. The campaign was designed by a team from Khamenei’s office, high-ranking ayatollahs and the top echelons of the Revolutionary Guards, including its chief, Gen. Ali Jafari.
It was kicked off with a batch of petitions fired off by the students of nine Tehran universities and Qom religious seminaries to Iran’s chief of staff Maj Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi, demanding immediate tests of long-range ballistic missiles to prove that the missile ban was invalid. It was essential, said one student letter, “…to underline the necessity for protecting the country’s defense capabilities and ensuring continued development of Iran’s ballistic missile capability.” The students, whose influence on public opinion is substantial, went on to argue: “Firing the ballistic missiles in military drills would discourage the US Congress, the Israeli Knesset and their regional Takfiri mercenaries (a reference to the Islamic State) from future strikes against the Islamic Republic.” The Security Council Resolution, which unanimously endorsed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (Vienna nuclear accord) signed by Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif, called on Iran “not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic technology until the date eight years after the JCPOA Adoption Day.”

Headline: Internal dispute over Taliban succession hints at rifts
The brother of Mullah Mohammad Omar on Sunday joined a growing chorus of opposition to the opaque selection of the late Taliban leader’s successor, indicating widening rifts within the militant group as it weighs whether to revive peace talks or intensify its 14-year insurgency in Afghanistan. As the leadership crisis deepened, the Taliban released a statement from one of its most notorious commanders pledging loyalty to Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor, who was chosen to lead after the death of the Taliban’s reclusive, one-eyed founder was announced last week. The statement quoted Jalaluddin Haqqani, the head of the Haqqani Network, a Pakistan-based outfit blamed for scores of complex attacks on U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, as calling for unity. The Taliban denied recent rumors that Haqqani, like Mullah Omar, had died in secret. Haqqani’s son Sirajuddin was named Mullah Mansoor’s deputy after his promotion. The loss of Mullah Omar has raised concerns of a succession crisis that could splinter the group between relatively moderate figures who back Pakistan-mediated peace talks and more radical field commanders committed to overthrowing the Kabul government and reverting to the harsh Islamic rule of the 1990s.

Headline: Sudan guarantees rebels freedom
Sudan’s government said on Monday it is ready to offer rebels battling its forces legal guarantees to allow them to attend talks in Khartoum aimed at addressing the country’s multiple crises. President Omar al-Bashir has called for a national dialogue to try to end conflicts in border regions and to right its ailing economy. The government says the talks must take place in Sudan. “We are ready to offer the required guarantees for armed groups to attend” the national dialogue, First Vice President Bakri Hassan Saleh said at a press conference. “We are ready to freeze the sentences” against rebel leaders, he said, but added that the government would not offer them full pardons yet. Khartoum has been battling rebels in the vast Darfur region of western Sudan since 2003 when insurgents mounted a campaign against Bashir’s Arab-dominated government, complaining of marginalisation.

Headline: Isis in Libya: British troops to be sent to north African country to combat militants advance
British troops are set to be deployed to Libya as part of an international peacekeeping mission tasked with securing the country and to counter the threat from the Islamic State (Isis) in the North African country. Military officials from the US, France, Spain and Germany will also join the mission to stabilise the country once the rival warring factions agree on forming a unity government. The mission participants, known colloquially as the P3+5, are working together with the European Union and United Nations to “rebuild organs of the state and train security forces”, according to The Times. Military sources from Britain and Libya believe that a deal to form an inclusive unity government – which has proven illusive since the fall Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2011 – appears to be close, The Times reported. Once the inclusive government is confirmed, the P3+5 will seek a UN Security Council resolution to authorise intervention in Libya to train the local police, army and coastguard. Special Forces from Britain, France and the US will also conduct counter-terrorism operations against the Libyan branch of Isis and other Islamist groups. As part of the military operations, American and French airstrikes will be required, with British jets unlikely to participate because of the commitment to fight Isis in Iraq, a Whitehall source told The Times.

Headline: Iran, Armenia to Further Develop Ties
Iranian First Vice President Es’hagh Jahangiri and Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan discussed Armenia’s and Iran’s bilateral relations during a phone conversation on Saturday, including the deepening of cooperation on gas and electricity exchanges. According to reports, Jahangiri wished happiness and prosperity to the nation and government of Armenia, expressing content with growing bilateral ties between the two countries, adding that Armenia and Iran could take further steps to develop cooperation. Abrahamyan greeted Jahangiri with the same wishes and extended an invitation to Jahangiri to visit Yerevan. Abrahamyan also expressed his content with the removal of obstacles in order to develop energy ties with Iran. In line with their existing bilateral relations, Tehran and Yerevan have established growing energy exchanges in recent years. Iran has traded more than 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas with Armenia for electricity over the past seven years. In 2013, Iran exchanged some 481 million cubic meters of gas for electricity from Armenia, the largest exchange in energy between the two countries in seven years. Abrahamyan also expressed his optimism for the promotion of peace in the region as Armenia and Iran enhance their mutual ties.

Headline: At least 13 villagers killed by Boko Haram in Nigeria
Militants from the Boko Haram terrorist group have killed at least 13 people from a village in northeastern Nigeria. The attack happened in the restive Borno state late Sunday, according to authorities and witnesses. Local farmer Moha Saleh told AFP that at least 27 other people were also injured in the attack. The attack began when the Takfiri militants stormed the village and started to open fire on people and burn houses. “They set many houses ablaze after accusing us of telling soldiers their whereabouts,” he said. Meanwhile, the Nigerian government said it carried out airstrikes in the northeast of the country to repel an attack by Boko Haram and killed a “large number” of the extremists on Sunday. The Nigerian Air Force said it “successfully repelled an attack on Bita village by the Boko Haram terrorist group.” The airstrikes were coordinated with a combined ground operation after spotting militants planning an assault. “Consequently, a large number of the insurgents were killed and several others were injured,” the Nigerian military said in a statement it released shortly after the military operation. Boko Haram has staged a string of strikes targeting markets in Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon that have killed and wounded scores in the past month.

At least 10 soldiers have been killed in the northern Mali region of Timbuktu in an apparent terrorist attack against their camp. “This morning at [the town of] Gourma-Rharous, we pushed back a terrorist attack, which caused 10 deaths in our ranks,” said a military source. Another military source confirmed the attack, saying it had targeted a unit of the National Guard based in the town. The second source said the attackers were believed to be elements linked to the so-called Ansar Dine group, which were designated by the United Nations (UN) as a foreign terrorist organization back in 2013. The attack came two days after two Malian soldiers were killed and five injured when their convoy was ambushed in the center of the country.

Fighters loyal to Yemen’s exiled president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, bolstered by Gulf Arab support, seized the country’s largest military base from Houthi forces on Monday after heavy combat in which dozens were killed or captured, a pro-Hadi commander said. If confirmed, the victory would mark another significant gain for the Hadi loyalists after they drove the Houthis from the southern port of Aden in July following months on the defensive. The recapture of the Al-Anad base also opens up the road north to the city of Taiz, where Iranian-allied Houthi militias have been locked in combat with local fighters siding with Hadi. Hadi remains in Saudi Arabia, where he fled in March as the Houthis closed in on his refuge in Aden. The Houthis had broken out of their northern strongholds and seized control of the capital Sanaa in September, plunging Yemen into another bout of conflict.

Economic collapse Revelation 6:5-6 & Daniel 2:41-43– Decline of the Euro “ When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” (Revelation) “Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.” (Daniel 2:41-43)
Headline: Greek stock market bloodbath as exchange reopens
Greece’s top companies lost billions in market value in a matter of minutes on Monday, when the stock exchange plunged upon reopening after a five-week closure and investors worried over a dramatic new drop in the economy. The main stock index shed over 22 percent soon after the open, as traders got their first opportunity since late June to react to the latest twists in the country’s economic drama. The index closed 16.2 percent lower, with bank shares hitting or nearing the daily trading limit of a 30 percent loss. “There’s a sense of panic,” said Evangelos Sioutis, financial analyst and head of equities at Guardian Trust. He noted some traders are selling stock merely to raise cash because there is so little liquidity in the Greek economy. “There are no buyers,” he said. “The outlook is not clear.”

You have heaped up treasure in the last days.” (James)
Headline: Puerto Rico on brink of debt default
Puerto Rico defaulted on some of its debts this weekend after years of battling to stay current on its obligations, signalling the start of a long and contentious restructuring process for the US commonwealth’s $72bn debt pile. The territory, which successfully scrambled to make a $169m payment on debts owed by the Government Development Bank on Friday, did not make a $58m payment on Public Finance Corporation bonds, according to Victor Suarez, chief of staff for Puerto Rico’s governor. “We don’t have the money,” he said on Friday, according to newswire reports. “The PFC payment will not be made this weekend.” The missed payment will push Puerto Rico formally into default after the close of business on Monday said credit rating agency analysts. The PFC bonds are the first to fall into arrears, and a government “working group” is racing to come up with a plan to restructure the territory’s debts and overhaul its economy. Puerto Rico governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla startled investors earlier this year when he said the commonwealth would not be able to pay off all of its debts and required a restructuring, a move many bondholders — especially creditors to the government itself — are loath to accept.

Headline: Food storage supplies running out nationwide as citizens prepare for September events
A recent investigation by an alternative news website turned up a shocking truth: Due to huge demand, a growing number of storable food companies are experiencing dramatic shortages of virtually all goods, meaning that, should a regional or national emergency strike, millions of Americans will be left with nothing to eat and completely dependent on an understaffed, underfunded government. As reported by AllNewsPipeline.com (ANP), correspondents for the news site began visiting a number of survival food websites in July, with the goal of ordering some essential bulk food items that included potatoes, carrots, mangoes, peaches, powdered eggs and powdered milk, among other items. But the more they shopped, the more they found notices on the survival food sites stating that supplies were either low or temporarily out of stock. Only, the warnings did not say that stocks would be immediately replenished; rather, the site reported, some food items would take weeks to restock. Upon returning to those sites a few days later, the situation had become even more dire: Many sites weren’t even certain when stocks of some items would be replaced.

Wars & Rumors of Wars Matthew 24:6 , Revelation 6:3-4 & Revelation 6:8 “ And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Revelation 6:3-4 speaks of the fiery red horse given power to make men slay one another and Revelation 6:8 speaks again of this red horse in conjunction with the pale horse of Death and Hades, as the one that has the power to kill by sword. Prophecy Sign: Weapons of Mass Destruction Zechariah 14:12 “And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.”
Headline: North Korea building cover over launch platform
North Korea has placed a large roof over a rocket-launching platform at Sohae Satellite Launching Station – a sign that activity at the site is gathering pace. The latest development at the station in Tongchang-ri, North Pyongan Province near the China border was detected after Seoul said North Korea recently built a 17-meter extension to a 50-meter launch pad. Sohae is the platform where in 2012 North Korea launched the expandable carrier rocket Unha-3, which fell into the Yellow Sea. The debris of a second stage launch fell into the Philippine Sea after an object had entered orbit. An unidentified diplomatic source in Washington said it is likely Pyongyang is building the rooftop to stay out of U.S. surveillance, Japan’s Kyodo news agency reported on Sunday. The roof is expected to be finished in mid-August, and the source said it is a sign North Korea is accelerating preparations for a missile launch. Seoul expects any North Korea launch around the Oct. 10 Workers’ Party anniversary would be used as a provocation against the South.

Scorching Sun Isaiah30:26 , Revelation 16:8-9 & Revelation 7:16, Malachi 4:1 “Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, And the light of the sun will be sevenfold, As the light of seven days, In the day that the Lord binds up the bruise of His people And heals the stroke of their wound.” (Isaiah 30:26) “Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.” (Revelation 16:8-9) “Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat.” ( Revelation 7: 16) “For behold, the day is coming,Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the Lord of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1) Prophecy Sign: Drought Jeremiah 50:38 & Isaiah 42:15 “A drought is against her waters, and they will be dried up. For it is the land of carved images, And they are insane with their idols.” (Jeremiah)“I will lay waste the mountains and hills, And dry up all their vegetation; I will make the rivers coastlands, And I will dry up the pools.”(Isaiah)
Headline: Mideast Hit With 165F Heat, ‘Highest Ever Recorded’
Scorching heat has put temperatures as high as 165 degrees in the Middle East, as a “heat dome” passes its way through the region. “That was one of the most incredible temperature observations I have ever seen — and it is one of the most extreme readings ever in the world,” AccuWeather meteorologist Anthony Saglia told The Telegraph of the 165-degree heat-index reading in the western Iran city of Bandar Mahshahr. Saglia said the heat index — the “feels-like temperature” — in the city was among the highest ever recorded. The index was recorded by weather experts, who also predicted that the country could be enduring some of the hottest urban temperatures ever, the Telegraph reports. The dew point, which measures the moisture in the air, reached 90 degrees, Popular Science reports. The figure is very unusual and very high, indicating that a lot of moisture is in the air. However, the temperature figure was just a few degrees lower than the heat index ever recorded: 178F in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, on July 8, 2003, according to the Telegraph.
The National Weather Service says that with a heat index over 125 degrees, “heat stroke is very likely.”

Headline: California wildfire doubles in size on fifth day
A wildfire raging through northern California more than doubled in size on its fifth day on Sunday, expanding to 84 square miles (220 sq km). The blaze, in Lake County north of San Francisco, has destroyed 24 homes and displaced about 12,000 residents. It is just one of 21 fires across the drought-ridden state being battled by about 9,000 firefighters. California is in the fourth year of a severe drought which has left the state vulnerable to brushfires. “This is a very fast-moving wildfire,” said Daniel Berlant, a spokesman for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention, or Cal Fire. The rapid expansion of the fire over the weekend represented an “unprecedented growth in that short amount of time”, Mr Berlant said. The Lake County blaze now threatens a further 6,300 buildings and has forced the closure of two state highways, according to Cal Fire. Some 2,700 firefighters – nearly a third of the state’s total force – are tackling the fire but officials said only 5% of it had been contained.

Headline: India and Myanmar monsoon rains leave dozens dead
At least 20 people have been killed in a landslide as monsoon rains continue to batter parts of South-East Asia. The landslip in the eastern Indian state of Manipur buried a whole village, Indian media reported. In neighbouring Myanmar, four western regions have been declared disaster zones after heavy floods left at least 27 people dead. Incessant rain over several weeks has led to flooding and landslides in most of the country (also known as Burma). Wind and rain from Cyclone Komen added to damage in recent days. The landslide in Manipur state hit a remote village in Chandel district, bordering Myanmar, early on Saturday. Rescue teams were not expected to get there until Sunday because of heavy rains and landslides, a local MP said. Continuous rain in recent days has washed away bridges and roads and left thousands homeless, Indian NDTV reported. In Myanmar, Mg Mg Khin, the director of disaster management with the national Red Cross, told the BBC the country was facing “a big disaster” and that there was a risk of more rain over the coming weeks.
