Ebola kills 33 in Democratic Republic of Congo
A new outbreak of the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo has killed at least 33 people and is suspected of sickening dozens more, the World Health Organization said Sunday.
Revelation 7: 4 “And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.” What this prophecy tells us is Jesus has picked a number of Jews who will be preaching the message of Christ during the tribulation period. We know the exact number is 144,000. The only thing we do not know is who these people are by name only Jesus Christ know that type of information. The number of Jews in Israel who have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior is growing. Could it be that some of the 144,000 we be from the 30,000 in the report below? As I said, only Jesus knows that.

Protests in Iran Hit Boiling Point, Amplifying Calls for Regime Change
Protests against Iran’s hardline ruling regime hit a boiling point over the weekend, as demonstrators took to the streets for the sixth consecutive day in the face of efforts by the regime to beat and arrest those seeking regime change in the Islamic Republic, according to multiple reports from the region. Curfews have been imposed in parts of the country amid nightly demonstrations by Iranian dissidents who have been heard chanting, “death to the dictator” and “Mullahs should go away.” At least one protester was shot and killed by Iranian security forces over the weekend.

Hurricane Hector to pass near Hawaii, where volcano continues to spew lava into ocean
Hurricane Hector roared through the Central Pacific on Sunday and is expected to pass near the Big Island of Hawaii, where a volcano continues to send lava into the sea. The National Hurricane Center said in its 5 a.m. ET advisory that Hurricane Hector is a “strong” category 3 storm with sustained winds of 125 mph and is moving west at 12 mph. The storm is located about 1,360 miles east of South Point, Hawaii, located on the Big Island.

Weekend Shooting Spree Leaves Six Dead, Over 50 Injured In Chicago
A weekend shooting spree left six dead and over 50 people injured in Chicago, which has left the city in a state of havoc. Sixteen of those shot were said to be teenagers, according to the Chicago Tribune.
ISIS executes hostage
ISIS forces in Syria executed one of the hostages they took with them from the city of Sweida when they attacked it last week, Syrian media reported today. The victim was identified as Muhannad Touqan Abu Amar, age 19. The ISIS attack on Sweida – held by Bashir Assad’s forces – took place on July 25. The organization’s terrorists occupied villages and carried out suicide attacks inside Sweida, killing more than 200 people, many of them unarmed civilians.

Report: Hamas political leadership supports agreement with Israel
Hamas has decided to endorse a “staggered” ceasefire with Israel, which would begin with an end to the launching of incendiary kites and balloons and, in exchange, Israel’s lifting of the latest sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip… Hamas sources said that…in exchange for the cessation of all attacks against the border fence, Israel would open the Kerem Shalom crossing to the transfer of goods and the fishing zone would be expanded.
Majority of Palestinians oppose Trump’s peace plan, Oslo Accords
More than 60% of the Palestinians support the Palestinian Authority’s position not to accept the US as a sole mediator in the peace process…The poll, conducted by the Jerusalem Media and Communication Center, showed that over 80% of Palestinians don’t believe that US President Donald Trump’s yet-to-be-announced plan for peace in the Middle East…would produce anything acceptable to the Palestinians.

91 confirmed dead, hundreds injured after powerful earthquake hits popular Indonesian tourist island
A magnitude-7.0 earthquake has hit the Indonesian resort island of Lombok, killing 91 people. The earthquake struck at 6:46 p.m. local time on Sunday and damaged buildings 150 kilometers (93 miles) away in Denpasar, Bali. A spokesperson for BNPB, Indonesia’s disaster relief body, confirmed on Monday that the death toll had risen to 91 people and said that 209 people were severely injured.
Lombok quake: Thousands evacuated after dozens die on Indonesia island
Some 10,000 people have been evacuated on the Indonesian island of Lombok after a powerful 6.9 magnitude quake on Sunday left more than 90 people dead. Witnesses spoke of chaos and terror as buildings collapsed and power and communication lines were cut. Boats have been sent to evacuate more than 1,000 tourists from the nearby Gili islands.
Intense Heat
“And there shall be signs in the sun” (Luke 21:25a). “The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. Australia’s Turnbull: ‘Now we are the land of droughts’
Australia’s Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has warned that the country has become a “land of drought” as he announced further measures to help stricken farmers. The new package will provide an extra A$140m ($104m; £80m) in payments to farmers and for mental health support. It brings the total amount of government funding to $576m.
Portugal battles major wildfire as Europe heat wave endures
Emergency services in Portugal continued their fight Monday against a major, four-day wildfire on the south coast that threatened to engulf a hillside town overnight. The Civil Protection Agency said 44 people required medical assistance as the blaze passed by the outskirts of Monchique, 250 kilometers (155 miles) south of Lisbon, in the dark. A 72-year-old woman was seriously hurt. Authorities said that more than 1,100 firefighters with 327 vehicles and eight aircraft were battling the blaze that erupted amid a heatwave caused by a mass of hot air from North Africa.
The maritime barrier between Israel and the Gaza Strip
Significant progress in the barrier project against infiltrations from the Gaza Strip has been reported on Sunday. New images and videos show a new breakwater structure, with a high fence surrounding it, and an advanced detection system. The construction is expected to be completed within a year and a half. The Ministry of Defense revealed pictures and videos of the sea barrier construction site at the northern Gaza Strip border, near Zikim beach.

They had finally been liberated from control by the extremists. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and their US-led anti-ISIS coalition partners are in a multi-phase offensive designed to clear ISIS remnants from eastern Syria.
