Under department rules, veterans can be denied pain medications if they are found to be using illegal drugs. Until now, the department had no written exception for medical marijuana.
This has led many patients to distrust their doctors, veterans say. With doctors and patients pressing the veterans department for formal guidance, agency officials began drafting a policy last fall.
“When states start legalizing marijuana we are put in a bit of a unique position because as a federal agency, we are beholden to federal law,” said Dr. Robert Jesse, the principal deputy under secretary for health in the veterans department.
At the same time, Dr. Jesse said, “We didn’t want patients who were legally using marijuana to be administratively denied access to pain management programs.”
The new, written policy applies only to veterans using medical marijuana in states where it is legal. Doctors may still modify a veteran’s treatment plan if the veteran is using marijuana, or decide not to prescribe pain medicine altogether if there is a risk of a drug interaction. But that decision will be made on a case-by-case basis, not as blanket policy, Dr. Jesse said.

Dengue fever has infected a handful of people in Central Florida, health officials said.
“This is not a regular flu virus that you get, you feel a lot worse,” said Dr. Todd Husty.
“You get a real great fever, a horrible fever; it's called ‘break bone fever.’ You feel like your bones are breaking, but it's really joint pain,” Husty said.
Health officials said more than a dozen people have picked up the virus from Mosquitoes in the Keys.
More than 30 more across the state of Florida have the fever after picking it up out of the country.

The following statement from this article is key, "Abbas' appeal to Obama came amid widespread media reports that the U.S. president was considering floating a proposal that would set the contours of a final peace deal." This is where we need to read between the lines a little bit but before I do that let me make another statement first.
Whatever peace agreement is "agreed" to (imposed???) is going to come from no one other than Obama (goodbye United States) but won't be ratified or confirmed until the Antichrist puts his stamp of approval or signature on it which we already know he is going to do. This is a really big deal and Obama hasn't a CLUE what he is about to do! Now let's read between the lines. According to the scriptures, the Israelis are going to finally be allowed to build their Temple on the Temple Mount which means that this peace agreement that is going to be presented is also going to include a bold sacrifice on the Palestinians part which will be that they will have to share the Temple Mount with Israel. We know this is going to happen because it says so in Rev 11:1-2. “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.”

Now this is where it starts getting exciting! There has been much discussion (for decades) as to where the third Temple will be built. I was looking at an aerial view of the Temple Mount that was put out by the Temple Institute (T.I.) the other day, and in the photo it showed the Dome of the Rock and a short distance away from that is also showed the Islamic Mosque where all the trouble has been taking place lately.

According to Ezekiel a building that belongs to the Gentiles will be sitting right next to the rebuilt Temple. If you go through the information on this page you will learn that the Dome of the Rock does not have to be removed for this to take place. If the Antichrist were to say tomorrow that they can go ahead and build their Jewish Temple then they could start tomorrow. I think this is a very good possibility.
You and I both know that this isn't guesswork when it comes to the contents of any future peace agreement because it's in the scriptures. This is what I envision happening in the near future. A peace agreement at this time looks like one could be imposed by Obama and this agreement will state that Jerusalem will be shared by both the Israelis and Palestinians with the understanding that since they will both have to share Jerusalem as their respective capitals they will also have to share the Temple Mount. This won't bother the Israelis at all but I am pretty sure the Palestinians will hate it. "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” I'm not so sure that permission to rebuild the Temple would be included in any peace agreement that Obama or anybody else draws up. I think that might be something the Antichrist will add to the agreement when he confirms it – or strengthens it. Since the intention of the Antichrist is to allow the building of the Temple so he can take his place in it at the appropriate time – abomination of desolation – it will probably be he who tells them to go ahead and build it. I believe there is enough scripture showing the Church won't be here to find out so there's no sense of me dwelling on this. I do know this for sure. More and more news about the peace talks and the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple are coming out of Israel. In a past a few days ago I showed you 3 new reports on how the Jews feel about rebuilding that Temple.
Since 1977 I warned that the Ezekiel war found in Ezekiel chapter 38 would take place just prior to the start of the seven year tribulation. I have always believed that right after this war the Antichrist will confirm a covenant with Israel and the many nations. When I released my prophecy book back in 1997 I gave my reasons why I believed the war would be prior to the start of the tribulation and would in my opinion based on scripture would no doubt kick off the seven year tribulation. Many teachers used to believe that this war would take place after the tribulation begins but as of late many are changing their minds.
I received a email this evening where a Christian Brother of mine said the following:
“My brother and I got into a discussion about end times events tonight and I shared some videos with him and it really set me behind again. It's now 11:30 so I'm going to cut this short. Before I end this I want to share something really cool with you. Last night I watched the Prophecy In The News program as I do every night and I absolutely could not believe my ears. JR Church is having cancer treatments and has been off the air for quite a while now so Gary has taken over for him. In last nights broadcast I learned that Gary Stearman has changed his view on when the Ezekiel battle may take place and has switched his view from taking place 3 1/2 years before the Tribulation (because of the fact that Israel will burn weapons for 7 years and when the abomination of desolation takes place the Jews are to run and not take anything with them which he assumed would have to mean that they would have had to start burning them earlier) and is now saying that he thinks it might be when the rider on the red horse rides. I couldn't believe it. When I sent him and JR my revelation letter and later on my Ezekiel letter talking about the wood burning they were still of the opinion that there had to be 3 1/2 years from the start of the weapons burning and the beginning of the Tribulation (and I'm still sticking to my guns that this war will take place during the sixth seal). The cool part isn't that they have taken the same view as I have on this war (and I know beyond a doubt that nothing I've written them has affected their thinking in any way) but the cool part about it is that there are so many signs that the Tribulation is about to start that they have also made up their minds that it is out of the question that it would take another 3 1/2 years or longer (the war hasn't started yet) for the Tribulation to begin. The Body of Christ (at least those of us who are watching) knows the time is near because the Holy Spirit is telling us it's near through the signs (great earthquakes, famines, etc). Hal Lindsay has taken on a new tone in the last couple of months with more urgency when he talks about the eminency of the Rapture and how close it is. When he talks about it you can't help but hear the Holy Spirit speaking through him. Those of us who are watching are getting more excited by the day. How can we not get even more excited when there are 6 great earthquakes in 2 hours (right?) and all the other signs shouting at us from every direction.”
What does all this information tell us? We need to keep a close eye on the events taking place in Jerusalem. We need to keep a close look at what is happening with the stalled peace talks, and we need to keep a close look at how the nations in the Ezekiel war are lining up. Major events are about to happen and I don’t want anything to come to you as a surprise. Jerusalem is the key to the events that are about to unfold before us.
Once again I want to keep you up-to-date on Silvio Berlusconi. We are seeing him jump into the mix again concerning the Middle East peace talks. Read the news report about this below then read why I am keeping my eye on him.
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi telephoned Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas Saturday to discuss the situation of proximity talks between Israel and the Palestinians, Israel Radio reported Saturday.
Berlusconi said at a press conference with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev Friday that the two sides need to move direct negotiations as soon as possible.

Remember that I said God told Daniel that the Antichrist would subdue three of the ten kings when he had risen to power in the last days. You noticed I also mentioned Silvio Berlusconi’s name before as one man in the EU who hates the gang of three. You will understand the importance of this, but first let me show you what the Word of God says about the Antichrist. Do you want to know who the Antichrist is? Just keep you eyes on the news and follow the Word of God. When you hear or see a man sign a seven year peace agreement with Israel, that is the man God said would be the man of sin, or Antichrist. I cover this subject in detail in Chapter 9. Jesus gave us signs of what the Antichrist would be like.. In 2 Thessalonians 2:4 it states, "He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God" (NIV). We know from Revelation chapter 17 that the false church will sit on the beast (Antichrist) in Rome. This means that the Antichrist will come from Rome, which is in Italy. Daniel saw all the kingdoms from his time all the way to the last kingdom, which he warned would be the reborn Roman Empire. The European Union is that reborn Roman Empire, and Italy has been a major player in the EU since it started. One of the major signs of the end times is the rebirth of the Roman Empire so watching the signs concerning the political climate within the EU should be taken with special interest. Right now you should pay special attention to Silvio Berlusconi, and you will see why. In April of 2008 Berlusconi was reelected as the Prime Minister of Italy. Why is this so important? Jesus said when the man of sin (Antichrist) comes, he would exalt himself. Let me give you some quotes Berlusconi has stated about himself. Here they are: 1. "I am the Jesus Christ of Politics. I am a patient victim, I put up with everyone, I sacrifice myself for everyone.” 2. “The best political leader in Europe and in the world…” 3. “There is no-one on the world stage who can compete with me" (BBC News May 2, 2006). 4. In the Guardian report Jan. 18, 2004, they reported that Berlusconi calls himself 'monarchist' which means (he being the king). Now let me ask you a question. Does this sound like the warning Jesus gave us about the personality of the Antichrist? You bet it does, but there is more. “All hail Berlusconi” is the title to a report on Berlusconi by the Guardian news. A writer for the Guardian news profiles Berlusconi like this, "Silvio Berlusconi, a Roman emperor for the 21st century” and the writer informs us that Berlusconi describes “himself as ‘the anointed one’ from time to time” (Ibid). As of June 2009, Berlusconi is still exalting himself. I quote from a Reuters report, “Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who has compared himself to Jesus Christ and Napoleon, boasted on Friday that he was the world's most popular leader.” Berlusconi said, ‘The opinion polls I know say that he (Obama) is at 59 percent. Only (Brazilian President Luiz Inacio) Lula tops 60 percent — he is at 64 percent. So mine is a record high,’ he told reporters in Naples where he attended a May Day concert” (May 1, 2009). “Italy's first lady, Veronica Lario, said Sunday she has hired an attorney to begin divorce proceedings against Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, citing his flirtations with other women. ‘I was forced to take this step,’ Lario, a former actress told an Italian newspaper.” For years Berlusconi’s wife has put up with his relationships with other women until the news broke that Silvio had been seeing an 18 year old. “Reports of Silvio Berlusconi attending an 18-year-old woman's birthday party proved too much for the missus, and the BBC says Veronica Lario will file for divorce from the faux pas-ridden Italian PM. ‘That's enough,’ Lario said in Italian reports. ‘I cannot remain with a man who consorts with minors.’ She has previously slammed his flirtatious ways, and he publicly apologized to her 2 years ago” (Ibid). I find this very interesting because Daniel 11:37 tells us the Antichrist will have no regard for women. He will treat women with no respect, and he won’t care whether he hurts them or not. Like I said, everything Berlusconi is doing is running parallel with all of the Antichrist Scriptures.
In the book of Daniel 11:36 God told Daniel what the man of sin would be like. “And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished”. The BBC on July 8, 2008 wrote about Berlusconi and was describing him. I quote, “It refers to the Italian prime minister as a man “hated by many but respected by all at least for his bella figura (person style) and the sheer force of his will”. This is the exact way God described the Antichrist to Daniel. Daniel 11:36 also says he would prosper till his end. Berlusconi has been prospering for some time. He is one of the richest people in the world. The BBC News May 3, 2009 stated, “The Italian prime ministers’s private fortune is estimated by Forbes magazine at $ 6.5 bn”. Look who Macleans Magizine out of Canada chose to put on their front cover of their August issue? The front cover reads, “Silvio Berlusconi The Most Interesting Man In The World”. The cover also says, “Italy’s prime minister has wealth, power, women and no end of scandals” (Aug. 17, 2009). As you can see, the cover of Macleans points out the very things God warned us about the Antichrist in Daniel chapter 11.
It will get very interesting if Berlusconi take a lead role in the talks again. He has a good relationship with the PLO and Israel. I said this before and I will repeat it now. Any time someone stars to fulfill the signs written about the Antichrist that is when my red flag goes up. Keep in mind, Berlusconi is from Italy which is part of the revived Western part of the old Roman Empire. Daniel warns the Antichrist will come from a revived Roman Empire. This is getting pretty interesting. I am also keeping my eyes on the Eastern leg of the old Roman Empire because the man of sin could also rise quickly form this leg if it turns out Berlusconi drops away from the peace talks.

as always I love your commentary. You are blessed of Elohim and Yeshua..I must say, however, that in light of Daniyel 9, the “7 year peace plan” may be myth. Let me explain…
In Daniyel 9, we have this: (and I quote from the Aramaic sources):
27. “And the Covenant shall be deepened for many, [a period of] seven and half [the period] of seven, sacrifices and offerings shall cease to be performed,* and over the wings of evil* there shall follow the desolation,* until the killings shall cease,* and [the dead shall] rest* upon the desolation.”
Now Daniyel 9:27 in the Hebrew Tanakh:
27. “And he will make strong covenant of the ones being many seven one, and midst of the seven he will make cease sacrifice and offering and on wing of ones being detestable, one causing desolation, and to being complete, and being determined she will pour forth on being desolated.”

There is some debate whether this “peace deal” is exclusive to Yisrael or not. The Word says that this covenant will be for “many”. I will check more on this and let you know what I find.
