Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:7 Famine & Revelation 16:3 “And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.” July 24, 2008 I wrote a post dealing with famines. I explained famines can come from the lack of food from our oceans as well. “A dead zone is a phenomenon which is caused when salt water loses large amounts of oxygen, this condition is known as hypoxia. Recent news tells us “The number of “dead zones” in the world’s oceans may have increased by a third in just two”. In my July post I asked you to watch this because we are going to see more of these Dead Zones. It hasn’t even been a month yet and there is another report out today with new information on the Dead Zones. The headline to the article should tell you what is happening, it reads this way: “Ocean 'dead zones' expanding worldwide”. I quote, “New US-Swedish study suggests industrial pollution, runoff of water containing phosphates and nitrates into oceans causes steadily increasing inhabitable areas for oceanic life-forms AFP Oceanic "dead zones" where marine life cannot survive have been steadily increasing over the past five decades and now encompass 400 coastal areas of the world, a US-Swedish study suggests. The number of these areas, in which aquatic ecosystems disappear due to lack of oxygen in the water, has "approximately doubled each decade since the 1960s," said the study in the journal Science on Friday. Dead zones now comprise around 95,000 square miles, according to researchers Robert Diaz of the Marine Sciences Institute at the College of William and Mary in Virginia, and Rutger Rosenberg, a marine scientist at Gothenburg University in Sweden. "The formation of dead zones has been exacerbated by the increase in (pollution) … fueled by riverine runoff of fertilizers and the burning of fossil fuels," the study said.” Jesus warned us in Revelation 16:3 “And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.” Not only are we seeing more RED tides that turn our waters RED and killing sea life but, these increasing DEAD ZONES are killing off the food we get from our oceans. Between the droughts, intense heat, read tides, and ocean dead zones millions are going to go hungry. This process will accelerate from here on out and will reach its max during the 7 year tribulation. What we see hear are two warnings from Christ coming to life. 1st the famines and 2nd oceans turning red. Take China for example, Fertilizers, sewage, fossil fuel burning, and other pollutants China is dumping into the water is helping spread these lifeless dead zones. China has a massive population, and they are still growing and dumping pollutants than any nation. When they are out of fresh water and can no longer take fish from the water ways what do you think this nation is going to have to do? Jesus in Revelation Chapter 9:14-16 and Rev. 16:12 shows us that the army from the East (China) will cross the Euphrates river that dries up in the end times. This army we are told will number 200 million men. Today China’s army is 200 million! Are they marching because the world is starving and nations are going to war over food and water? In part yes. The fact here is this. Our waters ways are drying up, our water ways are turning red, our waters ways are dying from dead zones, China is destroying their waters at record rates and they have the exact number of men in their army as Jesus said they would. Are all these things coincidences? No, not at all, they are what it is, a warning from Christ to pay attention to His signs of the times.

If you have been watching the news you would has seen all the news about the global food crisis that is currently taking shape. Japan who has not planted crops has added an extra burden to food supplies. “This spring, with some nations close to panic over global rice supplies, Japan confronted a different problem — huge swathes of paddy fields lying fallow due to a 37-year-old price support policy that limits planting. Now, with the world more anxious about its future food sources than any time since the 1960s, some analysts and politicians say it's time for change.” The US has also added to the food crisis by growing corn for fuel instead of planting corn which can be eaten. As you known this is one of the main reasons why the price of food is skyrocketing. This is a very good example of one of the birth pains Jesus told us we would see. The food crisis has only begun, Jesus showed us in the Revelation that during the tribulation there would be hardly any food let. The other reason why food prices are climbing is because of all the natural disasters we have been faced with during the past 2 months. Floods have wiped out many crops both in the US and around the world.

Prophecy Sign: Luke 21:25 “sea and the waves roaring” Tropical Storm Fay continued its erratic path Wednesday reaching the coast and headed for the Atlantic Ocean, where it could strengthen and curve back toward Florida – possibly as a hurricane. Meanwhile, as Florida and Georgia prepared for what could be another hit from the storm in the coming days, some farmers in the region hoped a soaking would boost crops hurt by a lingering drought” Why do we keep reading news about droughts and floods? These type of news is common place all over the world. Farmers who lost crops due to droughts are now being flooded out and these is the same scene in many nations around the world.

Prophecy Sign: Isaiah 17:1 “The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” The last few months I have been showing you the links between the nations listed in the Ezekiel prophecy which will all soon invade Israel. I explained that Syria is not on the list of nations that attack Israel with Iran, Russia, Turkey and some other Arab nations. I also explained prophecy shows Syria will be destroyed and it will probably happen just prior to the Ezekiel war. In today’s news we see “Syrian President Bashar Assad said on Wednesday he will use a visit to Russia to expand military ties with Moscow, whose arms sales to the Middle Eastern state have angered Israel and the United States. He told Russia's Kommersant newspaper that Russia's conflict with Georgia, in which Moscow says Georgia used Israeli-supplied equipment, underlined the need for Russia and Syria to tighten their defense cooperation. Assad is expected to have talks with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev during his visit this week.” Here is the connection. Syria is allied already with most of the nations listed in the Ezekiel. Israel and Syria at the present time are getting ready for war with one another. What do you think is going to happen when Syria is destroyed and the city of Damascus is left in a ruinous heap as it states in the prophecy? Syria’s allies will respond and we will see the Middle East break out in war again. Is it possible that this one event may kick off the start of the Ezekiel war? It is one possibility we must keep on the table. The other possibility for the start of the war is if Israel bombs the Iranian nuclear power plant. This could set things in motion, Syria would attack and Israel would respond quickly and take out Damascus, this would give Syria’s allies the excuse to invade Israel. Only God know for sure exactly what will cause these nations to invade. Our job is to pay attention to the Lord’s warnings and His signs. We know war is coming so it won’t be a surprise to those who know prophecy. I do want to stress this point however, these are two of the last prophecies to be fulfilled before the 7 year tribulation begins. These current events just point out that our time here is coming to an end. Here is one last point. The ynetnews report also stated, “Israel has long urged Russia not to sell weapons to Syria. Damascus was a Moscow ally during the Cold War and is now key to the Kremlin's ambitions to reviving its Soviet-era role in the region.” You can see how important Syria is to Russia today and if someone comes against Russia’s ally Russia will move just the way Russia moved last week against Georgia.

Prophecy Sign: In Ezekiel 38:15 it says, “And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, any many people with three, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a might army” First of all, you must understand Ezekiel did not understand the terminalogy of modern warfare. When he spoke about the enemies of Israel riding horses he probably was referring to all the tanks that would come down against Israel. The most important part of this scripture is the fact that God told us the attack on Israel by Russia and her allies would come from the NORTH PARTS. God also told Ezekiel in 39: 2 that the attack would come from the NORTH PARTS. What just took place between Russia and her partner Sryia is major in current event in relation to bible prophecy. Guess where Russia is moving her troops? “The Russian aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov” is ready to head from Murmansk towards the Mediterranean and the Syrian port of Tartus. The mission comes after Syrian President Bashar Assad said he is open for a Russian base in the area.” For those of you who don’t know Syria is directly North of Israel. Russia is moving their aircraft carrier there because Russia is getting ready to attack Israel. You will be hearing a lot about this Russian move to Syria in the International news because this is major! I am telling you, God told us the direction and who would come down on Israel and now those same people are moving to the north to fulfilled God’s Words. Now you can see why God in Isaiah 17:1 said Syria’s Damascus was going to be destroyed!

Speaking about Russia, that brings me to the next prophecy sign which is found in Matthew 24:7 where Jesus warned us we would see wars and rumors of wars. As you know Russia went to war last week with Georga, now many are worried Russia will make advances into other nations to expand what was once the old Soviet Union. Here is a quote for The Timesonline Aug. 19, 2008. “President Medvedev of Russia yesterday promised a “shattering blow” against any foreign power that moved against Russian citizens. The threat will compound the fears of former Soviet states, which are concerned that they could be next after Russia’s attack on Georgia. “If someone thinks they can kill our citizens, kill soldiers and officers fulfilling the role of peacekeepers, we will never allow this,” Mr Medvedev told a group of Second World War veterans in Kursk. “Anyone who tries to do this will receive a shattering blow.” “He continued: “Russia has the capabilities – economic, political and military. Nobody has any illusions left about that.” Russia’s incursion into Georgia, and its reluctance to leave, has alarmed former Soviet states such as Ukraine and the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.” Here we have the fulfillment of war and the fulfillment of rumors of more wars. As you can see all these events are tied together.

Here is an interesting fact. Russia yesterday blamed Israel in part for Russia’s actions against Georgia. “Russia's deputy army chief, Col.-Gen. Anatoly Nogovitsyn, accused Israel on Tuesday of arming the Georgian military with mines, explosive charges, special explosives for clearing minefields and eight kinds of unmanned aerial vehicles. "In 2007, Israeli experts trained Georgian commandos in Georgia and there were plans to supply heavy weaponry, electronic weapons, tanks and other arms at a later date, but the deal didn't work out," Nogovitsyn told a Moscow press conference. Nogovitsyn also said that the Russian soldiers had detained 20 mercenaries near the Georgian city of Poti, including three Arabs, all wearing Georgian army uniforms.” In Ezekiel you see that Russia is the leader of the attack on Israel. These events we are now reading about are adding fuel to this coming attack. Russia had no problem attacking Georgia and they aren’t going to have any problem attacking the tiny nation of Israel.

The prophects warned us war was coming against Israel in the end times. There is no question this prophecy has been fulfilled in part. The day after Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948 they were attacked by many Arabs nations. They won that war. They were attacked and out numbered again in 1963 and 1973 and again won those wars, but there are two more major prophecies yet to be fulfilled as I have already stated. Ezekiel and Isaiah’s wars. Both Israel and Israel’s enemies are getting ready to battle again. “The Israeli army says Hezbollah has re-armed with 40,000 rockets — triple the number it had at the start of the Lebanon War two years ago. Therefore, many Israelis believe another war with Hezbollah is inevitable. "The war set the stage for a more comprehensive Middle East conflict," said Israeli analyst Michael Oren. "It set into motion a dynamic in the Arab world, where much of the Arab street believes that Hezbollah won that war, and there is tremendous expectation on Hezbollah to continue the struggle." God’s Word is always fulfilled and more war is coming and it will come soon. These events will set the stage to fulfill the remaining prophecies in Ezekiel and Isaish. All I can do is tell you what God has warned. I wish I could drag you into Jesus’ Salvation but that isn’t how it works. Everyone must except Christ Jesus on their own. Please look at what is written in scripture and what is currently taking place it was for our benefit that God give us this information before these thing took place. God wants you to believe in Him and He has been demonstrating to us all that His Words all come to pass. I don’t know for sure how much time will pass before we see these two last prophecies fulfilled but, I do know by all the rest of the signs that we are very close. That means you have little time left to either give your life over to Christ or be left behind to enter into the 7-year tribulation. The gift of Salvation is before us now as a free gift, but when the church is taken to heaven those left behind will be forced to die for Christ in order to enter into heaven. This is the very reason why I spend so much time showing you all these facts concerning bible prophecy and current events. I will do anything I can to help you see Jesus is real and He is in control. Ask yourself this one question. Where do you want to spend eternityc, with Jesus in heaven or in the flames of hell?

Ezekiel witnessed a powerful nation Russia leading a band of allies down against Israel in the last days. Why do you think Russia who was broke, in debt, dependant on nations for help, starving, and without heat has come back to be one of the most powerful nations in the world again. Not only are they powerful but they are the richest nation in the world and now have more oil than the Middle East. Russia had to rise from the ashes inorder to fulfill God’s Word about them in Ezekeil 38-39. There is no question Russia is flexing their new military power and is on a quest to control the Middle East. I quote a short section from the (IsraelNN.com) report. “Russia appears to be attempting to re-establish another Soviet Union, according to US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and America intends to nip the effort in the bud. In remarks to journalists during her flight to Brussels for a meeting of the NATO Council, Rice noted Russia’s reluctance to fulfill its end of a ceasefire agreement negotiated by French President Nicolas Sarkozy a week ago.”

Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:12 “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Iniquity is lawlessness. 2nd Timothy 3: 1-5 men will become brutal. Revelation chapter 9 we see the last generation known as the drug generation. This prophecy has already been fulfilled in our generation, we are known as the drug generation. One of the major problems nations are having along with drug use is increased violence and crime. Here is only a short glimpse of this reality. Headlines in a Breitbart.com report on Aug 18, 2008 read as follows: 30 dead in worst weekend of Mexico violence this year”.
”More than 30 people died in the worst weekend of violence this year in the northern Mexico state of Chihuahua, the scene of daily drug gang turf wars, police said Monday. Drug-related violence in Mexico has killed 2,682 people since the start of the year — nine more than in all of 2007 — with nearly half in Chihuahua state, daily El Universal reported Saturday.” This society has turned out exactly as Jesus warned it would. Drugs are everywhere and so is the violence that follows these drugs. There has been so much crime and killing that people have become cold to it just as Jesus said they would.

Let me give you an example just how brutal people are becoming. “An 85-year-old New York City woman was viciously beaten in an elevator — and the attack was caught on camera. The mugger jumped Lillian France, grabbed her by the throat and lifted her off the ground before running off with her purse and cane, according to FOX 5 News in New York. The footage was released this week. Police hope to catch the man who stalked the elderly lady and pounced on her. They're investigating whether he is the same suspect wanted in a series of Brooklyn robberies. "It's so senseless. There was absolutely no reason to assault her," her niece Claire France told FOX 5 News.” When you click on the link below you will see this attack on video. This is the type of world Jesus warned us about and it is already upon us and will continue to get worse during the tribulation period.
