“Israel debates 'End Times' as Arab world revolts”
“Using language that mirrors that of “end times” prophecy debates in the Christian world, Israelis are increasingly wondering what the mounting turmoil in the Middle East is ultimately leading to. A number of prominent rabbis have come forward with their interpretations of what is going on, and the casual observer would be forgiven for initially mistaking their remarks as coming from an Evangelical Christian. People have come to me and said that it’s ‘Gog and Magog’. We cannot know. But it’s probable that any unrest that God creates shows that the Messiah is coming,” wrote Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky on the Israeli religious Internet portal Haredim. Rabbi Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz acknowledged that current events are a sign of the times, and that the Messiah is likely coming soon, but also stated that the regional unrest is God’s way of humbling the prideful leaderships of Israel and the West. “God goes and humiliates (those feeling) sinful pride,” Lefkowitz wrote.” “Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? …The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.” (Psalm 2:1, 4)

Feb. 24 (Bloomberg) — Corn supplies will stay tight in the U.S., the largest grower and exporter, even as greater planting spurs record production, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s chief economist said. Soybean and cotton crops may also increase.
Farmers will harvest a record 13.73 billion bushels of corn this year, up from 12.447 billion last year, on 92 million planted acres, Joe Glauber, the economist, said today at a USDA forum near Washington. Greater demand for livestock feed and ethanol will limit gains in stockpiles next year, after dropping to the lowest level since 1996, he said. Prices are up 80 percent in the past year on the Chicago Board of Trade.
“Despite an increase in acres, the corn market is going to remain tight,” Glauber said. “It points to the fierce competition for acreage this spring.”
Tighter supplies helped boost global food costs by 25 percent last year, reaching the highest ever last month, according to the United Nations. Rising demand also is helping to boost net-farm income in the U.S. by 20 percent this year to a record $94.7 billion, the USDA said earlier this month. U.S. farm exports will jump 25 percent to a record $135.5 billion in fiscal 2011, Glauber said today.

“Second Suspected Syria Nuclear Site Is Found” WASHINGTON—A second suspected nuclear installation has been identified in Syria, according to commercial satellite photos, providing new evidence that Damascus may have been pursuing atomic weapons before a 2007 Israeli military strike.
The publishing Wednesday of the photos by Washington's Institute for Science and International Security could increase pressure on the United Nations to demand expansive new inspections of suspect Syrian facilities during a March board meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
IAEA inspectors visited eastern Syria in 2008 and reported that they recovered traces of processed uranium from a site called Dair Alzour, which the Bush administration alleged housed a nearly operational nuclear reactor. Israeli jets destroyed the facility nearly eight months before the IAEA's visit.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government has rebuffed repeated IAEA requests to conduct additional inspections of the site as well as three other facilities the U.N. agency believes could be related to a covert Syrian nuclear program. Damascus's rejection of IAEA inspections could result in Syria being declared noncompliant with its U.N. commitments and referred to the Security Council for formal censuring.

It saddens my heart that, of all the peoples in God’s kingdom, the Jewish people are only now just starting to connect the dots and realising that we ARE in THE END DAYS. I hope that through Frank’s dedication that more and more of us will pray for the Lord’s beloved Israel. God Bless & amen.
