*8 dead in stormy weather in Philippines
Authorities in Vietnam are reporting nine more deaths from the flooding that has ravaged Southeast Asia's entire Mekong river basin, and forecasters predict heavy rains in the region in the coming days. Meanwhile, a tropical depression is blowing out of the Philippines after leaving 8 people dead and forcing more than 18,000 others to flee from their flooded homes.

“Just a few hours after protesters learned they’d be able to stay in Zuccotti Park indefinitely, violence has broken out as a group marched away from it. A group of protesters were headed south on Broadway toward the New York Stock Exchange. The group swelled quickly and wound up in a confrontation with police as they tried to gain access to Wall Street. A standoff occurred.”

Headline: Syria is heading for full-blown civil war, top UN official warns
Ten people have died in the latest clashes as protesters urge more people to defect from the Syrian security forces. Large rallies urging further defections from the Syrian security forces have been attacked by government gunmen, as a senior United Nations official warned that the country was sliding towards a full-blown civil war. At least 10 people were killed across Syria, taking the death toll in the six-month uprising to more than 3,000, not including loyalist members of the security forces who continue to target demonstrators. Deir Azour in the Kurdish north was a scene of violent clashes between security forces and defectors who had been urged to swap sides by thousands of chanting activists. In recent weeks a largely passive rights movement inside Syria has taken on a more militant tone, with activists openly seeking weapons and soldiers who have fled the army battling with their former colleagues. Prophecy Sign: Rev. 6:6 shows us people living in the tribulation period will have to work all day long for one small meal. Not sure if you have noticed but over the past few years the price of food has skyrocketed and it hasn't stopped.

AFP – The head of the world's biggest food company Nestle said on Friday that rising food prices have created conditions "similar" to 2008 when hunger riots took place in many countries. "The situation is similar (to 2008). This has become the new reality," the Swiss giant's chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe told the Salzburger Nachrichten daily in his native Austria in an interview. "We have reached a level of food prices that is substantially higher than before. It will likely settle down at this level. "If you live in a developing country and spend 80 percent of your income on food then of course you are going to feel it more than here (in Europe) where it is maybe eight percent." In 2008, the price of cereals reached historic levels, provoking a food crisis and riots in a number of African countries, as well as in Haiti and the Philippines. In September the UN food agency's food price index came in at 225 points, just higher than the peak it hit in June 2008. It is down from the record 237.7 points hit in February this year. Food price inflation this year is seen as having contributed to the "Arab Spring" unrest in north Africa and the Middle East and there are fears of fresh unrest elsewhere."

Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:7 also warns us about the many earthquakes that will be a sign in the last days.
Today, Oct. 14, 2011 a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Amurskay Oblast region of Southeast Russia at a depth of 15.3 km. The epicenter of the earthquake was 130 km (80 miles) SSW of Tynda, Russia and 5154 km (3202 miles) NE of MOSCOW, Russia. One hour and 15 minutes later, a 4.2 earthquake also struck near Lake Baikal- which is southwest of the epicenter. Lake Baikal was similarly hit by a 5.6 magnitude earthquake in July of 2011. The seismic turbulence in southeast Russia is happening along the periphery of a region of the Russia that is slowly tearing apart or rifting along a divergent plate boundary. Geological turbulence will only increase with time. Like Iceland, Africa and the sea-floor near El Hierro in the Canary Islands, this process appears to have become more excited this year and is an indication geological change is accelerating its advance across the world as the planet’s magnetic field strength continues to erode.
There was also a very strong earthquake today which hit Eastern New Guinea Reg. Papua New Guinea. The quake was a 6.7magnitude quake.

I found a report by Holly Deyo very interesting concerning earthquakes which have not been reported.
An interesting article came out on the AP two hours ago reporting a 4.3 EQ has just rattled El Hierro. Most of their events have been in the 1.5 – 2.5 mag. range, with a couple of mid-Richter 3's. This is the largest shake in the over 9,950 temblors since July 19.
According to Irish Weather Online, the mayor of El Hierro, David Cabrera, confirmed in an interview on Radio Iron Garoé that an ‘underwater eruption’ is taking place about 900 metres beneath the sea surface and 3 miles south of La Restinga. The eruption, which has been ongoing for 4 hours, was triggered when a fissure opened after the 4.3 quake struck just off El Hierro's coast yesterday. It's not clear at this time if the volcano is spewing gas or lava. However, gases were detected 600 meters below the sea and about 7 miles from the La Restinga.
This is the first eruption since 1971, when the Teneguía volcano created a new crater. The National Geographic Institute, which records all the Canary Island volcanic and seismic activity, measured the event at 4.4 mag. Small difference, but monitors closer to an epicenter usually show the magnitude slightly higher. This morning when checking 7 reporting sites: USGS, IRIS, Google Earth, GFZ Potsdam, Switzerland's Red Puma, and Germany's EQ Mashup, only Europe's ESMC shows it. The first 6 show NO quake activity whatsoever on El Hierro for the last three months. Zip. Zero. Nada.

NONE of the nearly 10,000 quakes show up on Google Earth, no matter how big the map is enlarged. Then again, Google Earth uses a USGS feed for quake reports and it shows a totally clean slate for the Canaries. Right…. It's as though none of the massive number of quakes has happened.
Even though USGS does not show quakes less than Richter 4.5 for Worldwide events, with a swarm this massive one would think the Canary events would garner some attention. However, Red Puma has no such excuse and though IRIS records events down to 4.0, they nothing show on their maps. In this image below, red dot quakes are less than 2 days old, blue dots are 2-4 days, cyan dots are over 4 days and the pink diamond locates the last event. You can see quakes are progressing to the Northeast – with any shock waves angled away from Cumbre Vieja.

On October 10, 2010 like so many of my previous posts I ran headlines warning you Israel would attack Iran over their quest for a nuclear bomb that will be used against Israel. Below is an example of one of my warnings.
“Since 1977 I have tried by best to warn as much as I can about this coming war. For years I have been giving seminars telling people Israel will be involved in the Ezekiel war alone, and now we are seeing the signs that this is what is going to take place. It is my belief that if the UN, the U.S., or the EU can not stop Iran’s quest to obtain a nuclear bomb Israel will in fact attack in December as they warned today. You should also keep your eyes on the Middle East peace process because Paul warned sudden destruction was coming when Israel was calling for peace and safety. Right now this peace process is like a broken piece of glass. The only thing Israel and the PLO are getting from the peace talks is deep cuts and a building up of more tensions in the Middle East.”
As you can see the timing of Israel’s attack on Iran was off, but since 2010 much has happened and Iran’s President is pressing on Israel even more then they were. As of late we have been given news showing us Israel is getting ready to hit Iran’s nuclear sites. Now according to information given to Alex Jones, Alex is warning this attack may take place in a matter of days or weeks, but they are going to attack. Watch the video and let us watch to see if this information turns out to be true. If Israel does move on Iran this would fulfill the prophecy of wars and rumor of war, and it would no doubt set the stage for the Psalm 83 war and the Ezekiel war. A two month window has been allocated during which Israel has the opportunity to launch a military assault, waiting until winter when the attack will be more difficult to pull off is not an option. US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s October 3 Tel Aviv visit was used by Israeli hawks to convince the United States that it should green light the attack. Less than 10 days later, a fanciful terror plot involving a used car salesman was invented to implicate Iran and create the pretext for a military assault.

Prophecy Sign: Revelation 6:6 says the following: “Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!" Mark 13:8 reads as follows: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
The Lord said that "all these are the beginning of sorrows". In other words all the signs that the Lord listed must be simultaneously increasing in frequency and intensity to qualify as a fulfillment of this prophecy. This is the key to the prophecy. These sorrows are birth pains, and we are seeing birth pains every where. Part of the birth pain sorrows has to do with the intense heat from the sun during the last days that will cause droughts, lack of drinking water, famines, and of course much crop destruction. Read what Jesus showed us in Revelation 7: 15-17 “Therefore are they before the throne of God; and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat”.
This report you are about to read points to the prophecies I listed above.
“Take a good, long look at that jar of peanut butter sitting on your kitchen table. It's going to have to last you a while. The United States has a peanut shortage this fall and soon peanut butter prices will jump around 30 percent.
Drought was the main obstacle for peanut growers this year.
Tiffany Arthur, an agricultural economist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency, said that in Texas, the air was so dry that irrigation water would evaporate before the water could reach the plants. The Texas peanut yield is down 17 percent. Though not as bad as Texas, dry weather affected farmers in the state with the nation's biggest peanut crop, Georgia. "I've never seen a year wherein we suffered from planting time, all the way through the growing season," said Hawkinsville, Ga., farmer Rodney Dawson. "I've never experienced a season like this in 41 years."
Prices keep skyrocketing as I warned you based on the word of God. During the 7 year tribulation prices will skyrocket even higher, and the sun will beat down even worse than it is now, and if you think droughts, and famines are bad now, trust what Christ is showing you, you haven’t seen anything yet! However, there is good news! What is this good news? Jesus has provided a way out of this coming 7 years of tribulation. If you take Christ as your Lord and Savior He will keep you from the time that will soon come on this world to try men. What do you have to do? Do what Jesus asks in John 3:3 where He said you must be born again. The only way this can happen is for you to ask Jesus into your life. When you do this, the Holy Spirit will move your dead spirit from your body and replace it with new life given by the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus.

Prophecy Sign: Luke 21:11 warns us of diseases. Part of the last days birth pains is seen by all the diseases that are popping up all round the world. The report below explains some reasons why this is happening.

Investigating these outbreaks has also become more difficult because food can contain ingredients from around the world and is transported through a complex global supply chain, top WHO officials said. “Outbreaks of food-borne disease have become an especially large menace in a world bound together by huge volumes of international trade and travel,” said WHO director-general Margaret Chan at a conference in Singapore on improving preparedness against global health threats. “They are large in their potential in terms of geographical spread often involving multiple countries.” One challenge faced by governments worldwide is how to “reduce the health and economic consequences of food-borne diseases”, Chan said. She cited an outbreak this year of a new killer E.coli strain, which infected almost 4,000 people and left 51 dead across Europe and caused massive losses to vegetable farmers. European farm products such as tomatoes, lettuces, courgettes and sweet peppers were withdrawn from the market between late May and the end of June as a result of the disease, while Russia briefly banned EU vegetable imports.”
Now let me turn my attention to Daniel 12:4 to connect a dot that you may have over looked. The Lord told Daniel that in the last generation, that generation would not only increase in knowledge but they would be traveling back and forth. Our generation has fulfilled this prophecy and in the process what has happened? As people move from nation to nation it has made it much easier to spread diseases. In this case the blessing of becoming smarter has also cursed us.
