The United States is “concerned” about Israel’s demolition of Arab buildings in east Jerusalem and the West Bank, a State Department spokeswoman said on Friday, adding that it raised questions about Israel’s commitment to a two-state political solution to the Palestinian conflict. “These actions are indicative of a damaging trend of demolitions, displacement and land confiscation,” spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau told a State Department briefing. She said Washington was “concerned” and the demolitions, coupled with continuing Israeli construction and settlement activity “undermine the possibility of a two-state solution.” “They also call into question the Israeli government’s commitment to that two-state solution,” Trudeau said. The Islamist group Hamas publicly acknowledged on Friday that it is holding the remains of two Israeli soldiers and also has in its custody two Israeli nationals who went missing in the Gaza Strip. The group’s military wing, Izzadin Kassam Brigades, released a televised statement through official Hamas media in Gaza on Friday saying Israel will have to make concessions if it wants the Islamist organization to provide information about the conditions of the “four prisoners of war.” The Hamas spokesperson assailed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and denied that the organization was considering the release of the four Israelis. “Netanyahu is lying to his people with his statements and he is pulling the wool over the eyes of the parents of the soldiers in our custody,” said Abu Abeida, the Izzadin Kassam spokesperson. “There are no negotiations [with Israel] over prisoners.”

Speaking at the beginning of a meeting with Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek, the prime minster’s comments were made in response to remarks by the Palestinian president’s claims that he wanted to arrange a meeting with Netanyahu but Netanyahu had refused. “I heard that President Abbas said if I invite him to meet, he will come,” the Israeli prime minister said Monday. “I am inviting him again. I will clear my schedule this week and any day he can come I will be here. The first item I want to discuss with him is ending the Palestinian incitement campaign against Israel. My door is always open for those who want to pursue peace with Israel.” Abbas said Netanyahu did not respond positively to the suggested meeting. “I’m prepared to meet Netanyahu anywhere, any time,” Abbas told Channel 2’s Ilana Dayan. Last Friday, April 1, President Reccep Tayyip Erdogan had his first encounter with a group of American Jewish leaders, at his request. The full details of its contents were hard to sort out because the Turkish translator censored his master’s words with a heavy hand to make them more acceptable to his audience. But Erdogan’s bottom line, debkafile’s New York sources report, was a request for help in explaining to the Obama administration in Washington and the Netanyahu government in Jerusalem why they must on no account extend support to the Syrian Kurdish PYD and its YPG militia or recognize their bid for a separate state in northern Syria. The Turkish president did not spell out his response to this step, but indicated that a Turkish invasion to confront the Kurdish separatists was under serious consideration in Ankara. His meaning was clear: He would go to war against the Kurds, even if this meant flying in the face of President Barack Obama’s expectation that Turkey would fight the Islamic State. On Feb. 7, on his return for a Latin American tour, the Turkish president warned Obama that he must choose between Ankara and the Kurds, whom he called “terrorists.” By last week, the US president’s choice was clear. It was the Kurds. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is caught on the horns of multiple dilemmas: While reluctant to respond to Ankara’s suit for warm relations with a leader who is shunned by Obama and Putin alike, Turkey is nonetheless offering to be Israel’s best client for its offshore gas. Israel’s friendship with the Kurdish people goes back many years. The rise of an independent or autonomous state in Syria and its potential link-up with the semiautonomous Kurdish region of Iraq would create an important new state of 40 million people in the heart of the Middle East. Israel has no wish to make enemies of its longstanding friends by disowning them in favor of Turkey. Already, Israel’s evolving ties with the Syrian Kurds have given Israel’s strategic position in Syria a new positive spin, upgrading it versus the Assad regime in Damascus and its Hizballah and Iranian allies, who are avowed enemies of the Jewish state. Those ties offer Israel its first foothold in northern Syria. And finally, Erdogan is not the only opponent of Kurdish separatism; so too are important Sunni Muslim nations like Saudi Arabia and Egypt. An international conference and fair on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip was opened in Amman on Sunday in cooperation between the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the Jordanian association for conferences, exhibitions and festivals and the Palestinian ministry of economy. Minister of Public Works and Housing, Sami Halasa, said in a speech that Jordan will continue to support the Palestinian brothers and provide them with all of what they need in implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s orders. Headline: Hezbollah readies for offensive near Arsal
Hezbollah fighters Monday launched an attack on ISIS positions on Lebanon’s northeastern border, killing and wounding a number of the extremists, media affiliated with the party said. The War Media Center reported on Twitter that Hezbollah fighters raided the area of al-Zweitini on the outskirts of Ras Baalbek and destroyed an ISIS bunker, killing the militants inside. It added that the militants called in reinforcements who were also targeted by Hezbollah fighters with automatic weapons and rockets, wounding a number of them. However, ISIS and Nusra Front militants still occupy areas on the outskirts of Ras Baalbek and nearby Arsal from where they launch occasional attacks on Lebanon.

Headline: Egypt army kills scores of militants in Sinai Peninsula
In an official statement on Friday, the Egyptian army said as many as 65 militants had been killed during military operations in the cities of Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah in the province, Egyptian daily Al-Ahram reported on its website. Also on Friday, at least four policemen were killed when their vehicle went over a roadside bomb in el-Arish, the province’s capital. Several other policemen and civilians were reportedly injured in the incident. The latest instance of violence comes after a military spokesman announced last October that Egyptian forces had gained “full control” over the three cities following successful raids against “terrorist strongholds” and weapon caches, the paper added. Over the past several years, Egyptian troops have been engaged in efforts to quell rampant militancy across the Sinai Peninsula.

Syria Headline: Nusra Front, Syrian rebels attack government forces near Aleppo, gain ground
Syrian rebels and the al Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front have mounted an offensive against Syrian government forces and on Saturday took a strategic hill south of Aleppo from government control, a monitoring group said. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the offensive began on Friday, and Syrian government and allied forces were fighting to take back control of the territory and repel further attacks. Friday’s attack began with three suicide bombings carried out by Nusra Front south of Talat al-‘Iss hill. Rebel and Nusra Front forces then took control of the hill, the Observatory and a Nusra Front statement said. Nusra Front said in the statement it ambushed government forces as they withdrew toward the town of Hadhar to the east. The Observatory said the fighting has so far killed dozens of regime forces and at least 16 rebels and Nusra Front members.

Syria Headline: Syria rebels near ISIS stronghold in N. Aleppo
Rebel groups have reached the outskirts of a key ISIS stronghold along the Turkish-Syrian border after seizing a number of villages in a blistering offensive against the jihadist group. “Rebels are four kilometers west of Al-Rai (ar-Rai), the main ISIS base in the northern Aleppo countryside,” the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Monday morning. On midnight Thursday, rebel groups in the Hawar Kilis Operations Room—including the Turkish-backed Sultan Murad Division, Faylaq al-Sham, and the Al-Moutasem Brigade, among others—launched a major drive eastward from Doudiyan. The insurgent groups have since successfully pushed ISIS out of approximately 70 square kilometers of territory with the support of Turkish artillery bombardment as well Coalition airstrikes on ISIS positions.

Iraq Headline: Iraq: Bomb attacks ‘kill at least 25’ across the country
At least 25 people have been killed and dozens wounded in bomb attacks across Iraq, media reports say. As many as 10 suicide bombers carried out the attacks, which reportedly targeted members of the security forces and allied Shia Muslim militias. The Islamic State (IS) group, which holds territory in the north and west, said it was behind some of the attacks. In the deadliest attack, at least 14 people were killed when a bomber blew himself up in a restaurant. The eatery was popular with members of the Popular Mobilisation, a predominantly Shia militia which has taken a lead role in the fight against IS, the Associated Press reports. Other attacks hit the southern city of Basra, Baghdad and Mashada, north of the capital.

Iraqi forces say they have entered the town of Hit, a week after launching an operation to retake the town from ISIS fighters. Commanders on the scene from Iraq’s elite counterterrorism forces, who are leading the offensive, said Monday they are clearing ISIS fighters from Hit’s northern neighborhoods as they push toward the town center. Hit lies along an ISIS supply line that links the extremist militants in Iraq to those in Syria. Thousands of civilians are fleeing as Iraqi troops advance under cover of heavy airstrikes and artillery fire. Families, many with small children and elderly relatives, say they walked for hours through desert littered with roadside bombs to escape the violence.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Monday ruled out reviving peace talks with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and vowed to stamp out the conflict, at its deadliest in two decades, once and for all. Two members of the security forces were killed in fighting in the mainly Kurdish southeast on Monday, officials said. The autonomy-seeking PKK abandoned its two-year ceasefire in July, reigniting a conflict that has claimed more than 40,000 lives, mainly Kurdish, since 1984. The violence wrecked a peace process, spearheaded by Erdogan, that was seen as the best chance at ending one of Europe’s longest-running insurgencies. “We said ‘resolution process’, and they deceived us, their word cannot be trusted. That’s over now, we are going to finish this off,” Erdogan said in a speech to the state-run Red Crescent humanitarian organization. It was aired live by TRT. “The terrorists can choose two paths: surrender to justice or be neutralized, one by one. There is no third way left in Turkey. The crew of a U.S. Navy ship stopped a massive Iranian arms shipment dead in its tracks, seizing thousands of weapons, AK-47 rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers that likely were headed to Yemen, the Pentagon announced Monday. The seizure, which unfolded in the Arabian Sea on March 28, was the third of its kind in recent weeks, military officials say. At least six Afghan police officers have lost their lives after their convoy was ambushed by Taliban militants in the country’s northern province of Balkh, an Afghan official says. According to Abdul Manan Raoufi, the police operation chief of the province, the militants attacked the convoy on Sunday night in the Dawlat Abad district of Balkh. He said the ambush happened when the police were en route to the neighboring province of Jawzjan after conducting a military operation in the district. Isil terrorists are planning to use drones to spray nuclear material over Western cities in a horrific “dirty bomb” attack, David Cameron has warned. Fighting erupted in the southern part of Congo’s capital Brazzaville on Monday, with heavy fire in opposition bastions between troops and unidentified assailants sending thousands of residents fleeing. By late morning, AFP reporters saw streams of people panicked by the gunfire heading north away from districts loyal to the opposition, which is contesting President Denis Sassou Nguesso’s recent re-election. The reason for the clashes was not immediately clear and no official comment was immediately available. According to several witnesses, the crackle of automatic gunfire began after 2:00am (0100 GMT) in Makelekele and Mayana districts, and continued without stop until dawn. Several explosions were heard and two police stations reportedly torched in the restive run-down districts, strongholds of Congo’s opposition. “Soldiers came and told us to leave before it was too late, now we don’t know where to go,” said a 24-year-old student who gave her name as Mercie. One month after the adoption of sweeping sanctions at the United Nations Security Council, North Korea is calling for negotiations with the United States. Pyongyang issued a long statement through its National Defense Commission, calling for an end to hostilities, Yonhap reported. “Maintaining stability is more urgent than unilateral sanctions, and providing negotiations can find a better solution than reckless military pressure,” North Korea said in the statement. The statement marks a departure from the warmongering rhetoric from North Korea in February and March, when state media threatened to turn Seoul into “powder” and suggested South Korean President Park Geun-hye be assassinated. The statement also comes on the heels of tests of several short-range projectiles in March.

China has invoked Article 9 of the Sino-Russian Treaty of Friendship (FCT) notifying Russia that they have begun offensive/defensive military movements to protect national interests – including the deployment of a flotilla of attack submarines to the west coast of America. China’s announcement comes just one day after President Xi Jinping warned President Obama that the two countries were perilously close to war: “China will firmly safeguard the sovereignty and related rights in the South China Sea and will not accept any freedom of navigation as an excuse to undermine China’s sovereignty and national security interests.” Article 9 of this treaty, states that: “When a situation arises in which one of the contracting parties deems that peace is being threatened and undermined or its security interests are involved or when it is confronted with the threat of aggression, the contracting parties shall immediately hold contacts and consultations in order to eliminate such threats.” In the formal PRC government document invoking Article 9 of this treaty, delivered under diplomatic pouch international legal protections and procedures to Security Council (SC) Chairman President Putin, this report continues, Chinese authorities state that their vital national interests are now under immediate threat

Greece engaged in angry exchanges with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) over the weekend after WikiLeaks transcripts suggested that the fund was seeking to threaten Greece with a risk of default. WikiLeaks published the text on Saturday (2 April) of an alleged conversation between three IMF officials in which they say that Greece only does what it needs to do only when it runs out of money – a situation they suggest could happen again soon. The Greek government responded by asking the IMF whether “seeking to create default conditions in Greece, shortly ahead of the referendum in Britain, is the fund’s official position”. In a letter to Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras on Sunday, IMF managing director Christine Lagarde tried to assure him that “any speculation that IMF staff would consider using a credit event as a negotiating tactic is simply nonsense”. She added however that her institutions would support only a “credible” plan “based on realistic assumptions”. “We are still a good distance away from having a coherent programme,” she wrote. Lagarde also wrote that the IMF “conducts its negotiations in good faith, not by way of threats” and that it did not “communicate through leaks”.

A five-year-old boy tested positive for Ebola in Liberia just days after his mother died of the virus in the second flare-up to hit West Africa in recent weeks, the health ministry said on Sunday. A 30-year-old woman died of Ebola in Monrovia last week, months after Liberia was declared free of the virus. Her death followed a recent flare-up that cost the lives of at least four people in neighboring Guinea. “A five-year-old boy, the son of the deceased, tested positive early on Sunday morning,” Deputy Health Minister Tolbert Nyenswah said. More than 11,300 people have died over the past two years in the world’s worst Ebola epidemic, nearly all of them in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

No, it is not an April Fools Day joke, snowflakes actually fell in the neighbouring French island of Guadeloupe. The event, which was described as ‘exceptional’ by a French meteorologist took place on Thursday, March 31 in the municipality of St. Claude. Reports from French media indicate that a very fine snowfall blanketed the hills above the town. French meteorologist, Alain Museleque, explained the extraordinary phenomenon on Guadeloupe Premiere TV. “We had a mass of clouds that arrived over St. Claude,” he said in French and translated by McCathy Marie. “Accompanying this mass of clouds was some very cold air. In this very cold air, in the mass of clouds, we had the creation of some snowflakes which fell to the ground. This has never before been seen in Guadeloupe. This is an exceptional event that we will never forget.”

Flash floods triggered by torrential rains Sunday killed at least 45 people in northwest Pakistan, officials said. Rains started overnight Saturday and caused flash flooding in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said a Pakistani national disaster management official, Latif ur Rehman. Another 34 people were admitted to hospitals with injuries, he said. Residents of scores of villages close to rivers were given warnings to vacate and leave for safer places, Rehman said. “We’re left on our own. Nobody from the government is coming to help us,” said Habib Khan, a resident of the northern Swat valley, talking to a local TV news channel. The channel showed damaged houses and submerged streets in the valley and other parts of the northwestern province.

The Israeli Navy completed a major exercise in the Sea Red early Wednesday morning, a simulation which is usually undertaken once or twice a year. The 24-hour exercise included every naval combat soldier currently in service, according to the commander of the exercise, underscoring the massive scale of the operation. Among other scenarios, the exercise involved real-life simulations including the hijacking of civilian vessels by terrorists, terrorist infiltrations into Israel via the sea, attacks on naval vessels and more. In particular, the Israeli navy’s focus in the Red Sea is the rising threat from the Islamic State terror group (ISIS) in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, which security experts fear intends to launch attacks against Israel. A navy spokesman said that Israel’s close cooperation with Egypt and Jordan is crucial and ongoing, and that the two neighboring states were alerted to the major exercise beforehand.

Headline: Israel cuts power to Jericho over ongoing PA debt
Israel’s state-run electricity company was set Thursday to reduce the power supply one of the Palestinian Authority’s major cities over a debt of $450 million, an Israeli official said. The decision by the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) applies to the city of Jericho near the Jordanian border, and comes after the Palestinian Authority and the private Jerusalem District Electricity Company failed to pay longstanding dues, the official said. The Jerusalem District Electricity Company operates in eastern Jerusalem and the surrounding villages. The debt currently amounts to more than 1.7 billion shekels ($450 million), according to the energy industry official who spoke on condition of anonymity. “We’ve informed all the relevant parties, and after endless attempts to reach arrangements, we’ve decided to act to reduce the debt,” the official said, adding that the Jericho move was “open-ended.”

Headline: Denmark refuses to recognize Fatah’s terror incitement
In direct response to a Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) report revealing how the Fatah faction actively promotes terror, Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen refused to reassess the Palestinian group as not being “moderate.” That action was taken after Jensen said in the Danish Parliament that a specific example of terror glorification by a Fatah official did not represent the entire organization. His words seemed to imply that if Fatah or the PA did in fact glorify terror, Denmark would “reassess” their “moderate” categorization. Losing no time, PMW sent their report clearly proving that Fatah and its senior leaders regularly incite terror and glorify those who murder Israelis. But in response, the Danish Foreign Ministry chose to ignore the report and issued a general statement condemning violence. When pressed for comment on specific examples, the ministry simply responded: “we have nothing more to contribute.” The reason given by the ministry for not commenting on the report or reassessing Fatah’s standing was that it “does not share the interpretation” by PMW that Jensen indicated Fatah would be reassessed if it promoted terror.

Headline: Britain hands Lebanon £20million to help keep ISIS jihadis out of the Middle East country
Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond today announced the British Government has given the Middle Eastern country’s army £15.3m to train border guards until the end of 2019 in a bid to stop Syria’s civil war spilling over its border. A further £4.5m has been allocated to the Lebanese army to train 5,000 troops. Announcing the hefty aid donation on a visit to Lebanon on Thursday, Mr Hammond, said: “Lebanon is an important part of the front line against terrorism.” Using the alternative Arabic word for ISIS, he added: “We are delighted by the way the UK support is being translated into strengthened border security and is enabling the armed forces to take the fight to Daesh and keep Lebanon safe from the incursions of Daesh.” The United States has also given Lebanon three Huey II multi-mission helicopters worth £18m to add to the six others it has given the armed forces.

The Islamic State, like Al Qaeda before it, accuses the Saudi monarchy of corrupting the faith in order to preserve its power. But Qaeda networks in the kingdom were dismantled years ago, and the group’s leadership abroad has discouraged killing Muslim civilians. The Islamic State, however, has been able to infiltrate the kingdom through digital recruiting, and it has found devotees willing to kill fellow Sunnis, as well as Shiites, to destabilize the monarchy. Now the Islamic State poses a new challenge, by turning aspects of Saudi Arabia’s fundamentalist creed against it. Wahhabism has been molded over the years to serve the interests of the monarchy, emphasizing obedience to the rulers and condemning terrorist attacks, even against those seen as apostates. Still, among the Islamic State’s many enemies, Saudi Arabia is the only one that considers the Quran and other religious texts its constitution, criminalizes apostasy and bans all forms of unsanctioned public religion.

Headline: Yemen rebels in deadly counterattack on Red Sea coast
Yemeni rebels have mounted a deadly counterattack against government troops advancing down the Red Sea coast from the Saudi border ahead of a planned ceasefire next month, military sources said on Thursday. The rebels and their allies surrounded a government force that was attempting to recapture the coastal town of Midi and killed 45 loyalist troops on Tuesday and Wednesday, the sources said. At least 15 rebels were also killed in the fighting. Forces loyal to the internationally recognised government based in the south crossed the border from Saudi Arabia in mid-December in a bid to open up a new front in the north as offensives faltered in the centre and east. They swiftly captured the inland town of Haradh and Midi port, but they have met heavy resistance from the rebels and their allies in the adjacent town. Despite a Saudi-led military intervention, which is now in its second year, the Huthi Shiite rebels still control most of the Red Sea coast, including the key ports of Hodeida and Mokha.

Syria Headline: Russian nuclear-capable Iskander missiles deployed in Syria
Russia has deployed its most advanced tactical missile system, the Iskander-M, in Syria in the last few days, debkafile reports exclusively from its military and intelligence sources. The Russian Iskander is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and has never been made available to any foreign army for operational use. No nuclear-capable surface missiles were deployed in any Arab country bordering on Israel since 2007 when Chinese DF-21 missiles were installed in Saudi Arabia. The Russian missiles (NATO codenamed SS-26) have a range of 500 kilometers (see map). The Iskander’s transfer to the Kaliningrad enclave in the Baltic Sea in 2015, putting it in range of Central and Western Europe, was a mark of heightened tensions with the West over Russia’s intervention in Ukraine. Its deployment in Syria, amid a bloody five-year civil war, is a game changer in terms of the balance of strength in the Middle East. Its range – from the Russian Hmeimim base in western Syria – covers all of Israel up to the southern town of Beersheba, points in Turkey up to the outskirts of Ankara and the eastern and central Mediterranean including Cyprus.

Syria Headline: Syria govt strikes kill at least 23: activists
Syrian government airstrikes killed at least 23 people including four children Thursday in the worst cease-fire violation yet in a key rebel bastion east of the capital, activists said. Dozens more were wounded in the raids on Deir Al-Assafir, a town in the opposition stronghold of Eastern Ghouta, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The strikes, which killed 13 civilians, two police officers and eight unidentified victims, represented “the largest cease-fire violation in Eastern Ghouta,” Observatory head Rami Abdel-Rahman said. A fragile ceasefire brokered by the United States and Russia has been in place across parts of Syria, including Eastern Ghouta, since Feb. 27. The truce does not include areas where ISIS and Al-Qaeda’s local affiliate Nusra Front are present. Eastern Ghouta is dominated by the powerful Army of Islam rebel group, which has agreed to the truce, but there are also small pockets of Nusra fighters.

Iraq Headline: Suicide attack in Iraq’s Makhmour kills three policemen
At least three Kurdish policemen were killed in a car bomb in the town of Makhmour, south of the Kurdistan Region capital, Erbill on Thursday, a Kurdish official told Rudaw. “Three policemen have been killed and several others wounded,” said Rashad Galai, a Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) official, in the town. “It was a suicide bomb attack,” he added. The mayor of Makhmour also told Rudaw that the car bomb went off in front of the towns police station. The Makhmour front has been defended by the Peshmerga from Islamic State assaults since that group’s takeover of Mosul back in June 2014. This month the Iraqi Army kicked off its long-anticipated battle for Mosul from Makhmour. The US Marines also set up a fire-base near the town to provide artillery fire support to the Iraqis.

Iraqi troops are advancing towards the western town of Hit in a push to drive out Daesh militants, the military says. A senior officer from the counter-terrorism forces which led the recapture of nearby Ramadi three months ago said Thursday his troops are one kilometer from the town center. The operation some 130 km (80 miles) west of the capital Baghdad began at 0600 (0300 GMT) and was progressing swiftly, another officer was quoted as saying. Hit is strategically located on the Euphrates River near the Ain al-Asad air base and its recapture would push Daesh further west towards the Syrian border. The liberation of the town would also cut a connection to the northern town of Samarra and leave Fallujah as the only stronghold left for Daesh near the capital.

Kurdish forces in Syria are preparing with the international coalition to “liberate” the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, the leader of Syria’s Kurds said Thursday. “The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are preparing with the coalition to liberate Raqqa,” Saleh Muslim told reporters in Paris. The SDF are dominated by Kurdish forces. Muslim, the head of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), added however that the fighters would need the support of up to 50,000 “Arab residents of the Raqqa region” to take the northeastern town which the jihadists have made their base. A car bomb killed seven police officers and wounded around two dozen people in Turkey’s Diyarbakir on Thursday, security sources and officials said, a day before the prime minister is due to visit the biggest city in the largely Kurdish southeast. A parked car laden with explosives was detonated by remote control as a minibus carrying the police officers turned a corner on a busy street, the sources said, adding that civilians were also among the wounded. President Tayyip Erdogan, who is on a visit to Washington for a nuclear security summit, denounced the attack, saying it showed the “ugly face” of militants “as they are cornered”. “This shows terrorism’s ugly face again. The determination of our security forces will, God willing, put an end” to it, Erdogan said in a speech to the Brookings Institute. He said 27 people had also been wounded in the attack.

The capital has been mostly calm since their arrival, though a TV station that supports Tripoli’s separate, self-declared National Salvation government was taken off air late on Wednesday and there were brief clashes close to the city center. On Thursday, members of the unity government and its seven-member Presidential Council held meetings with local council leaders at the naval base. Abdulrahman Taweel, a brigadier general in charge of organising protection for the new government, described the base as “completely secured”. “We are working to secure all other state institutions,” he told Reuters, without elaborating. “The Council is here to stay and to continue their work here in Tripoli. They will not leave except for international meetings and will return.” The Presidential Council and the Government of National Accord (GNA) emerged from a U.N.-mediated deal signed in December.

A border guard was injured late Wednesday in an ambush by more than a dozen “terrorists” in the Kasserine region near Tunisia’s frontier with Algeria, the interior ministry in Tunis said. “A group composed of around 15 terrorists ambushed a border guard vehicle and opened fire near Feriana,” the ministry said in a statement. “Heavy fire erupted, setting the vehicle alight,” the ministry said, adding that one guard had been injured and was taken to the regional hospital in Kasserine. The ministry said the attackers “fled towards Mount Chaambi” and that army units had been called in to carry out security operations in the area. Harvard researcher Matthew Bunn revealed that extremist groups such as ISIS are “evolving” and could be armed with nuclear weapons in the near future. The report on Managing the Atom by the US university researcher details the threat of three types of nuclear or radiological terrorism. This includes detonation of a nuclear bomb, sabotage of a nuclear facility and use of a dirty bomb to spread radioactive material. But the report looks in greater detail at the possibility of a nuclear bomb being detonated as it would be “most catastrophic”. The report comes as the Nuclear Security Summit sets to take place today in Washington.

A suicide bombing in central Somalia killed at least nine people and wounded 10 others, a police official said Thursday. The bomber blew himself up among a group of people at a cafe near a hotel in the town of Galkayo on Thursday, said Ali Aden. Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it targeted officials from Puntland, a semiautonomous state in northeastern Somalia. At least six people, including two Turkish doctors, were killed in a drive-by shooting in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Wednesday. Al-Shabab was pushed out of the Somali capital Mogadishu in 2011 but still controls some rural towns, especially in the southern parts of the country.

Police have used tear gas to disperse activists in Paris who are protesting new labor reforms. In the city of Nantes demonstrators tried to storm the town hall and smash windows. Scores of people have taken to the streets across France to once again voice their anger against recently proposed labor reforms. The demonstrators have reportedly clashed with police officers. In Paris the protest started in Place de la Nation, the same place where previous anti-labor rallies took place. The demonstrators threw bottles with flammable liquid and stones at police officers. “Everyone hates the police,” the protesters were shouting. At least two protesters have been beaten by police officers in the city of Lille, according to photo reporter Julien Pitinome, who tweeted a picture of the incident. The protesters in Lille also started a fire during the rally, local media said.

Headline: Chicago off to deadliest start in nearly two decades
As the first quarter of 2016 nears an end, violence in Chicago has reached levels unseen in years, putting the city on course to top 500 homicides for only the second time since 2008. As of 6 a.m. Wednesday, homicides totaled 135, a 71 percent jump over the 79 killings in the same year-earlier period, official Police Department statistics show. That represented the worst first quarter of a year since 136 homicides in 1999, according to the data. Shootings have jumped by comparable numbers as well. As of Wednesday, at least 727 people had been shot in Chicago so far this year, a 73 percent rise from 422 a year earlier, according to a Tribune analysis of department data. Worse yet, that jump follows two consecutive years in which shootings rose by double digits, the analysis found. Homicides also rose by about 12.5 percent last year over 2014.

Human rights activists fear Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) is preparing to execute the remaining Christians in the terror group’s Syrian stronghold at Raqqa. Syrian activists say ISIL has “issued a new decision” to block any Christians or Armenians from leaving its self-declared capital. The activists said about 25 Christian families still live in the city. Paul Chodas was recording video of space when he inadvertently captured video of what is believed to be an asteroid impacting the surface of Jupiter. Chodas, who is the head of the Near-Earth Object Program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a federally funded space research center in California, was recording video when he captured an unknown object hitting the planet March 17. While Chodas said it’s unclear exactly what the object was, he suspects it was an asteroid. “It’s more likely to be an asteroid simply because there are more of them,” Chodas said, according to the Huffington Post. Chodas wasn’t the only astronomer to catch the phenomenon, however. John McKeon, who lives in Ireland, was recording a time-lapse video when the event took place. “The original purpose of the imaging session was to get this time-lapse, with a happy coincidence of the impact in the second last capture of the night,” McKeon wrote in a YouTube video description. Gerrit Kernbauer, who was in Austria, was also recording video of the planet, but didn’t realize what had happened until 10 days later. “I found this strange light spot that appeared for less than one second on the edge of the planetary disc,” Kernbauer said, adding that his “only explanation for this is an asteroid or comet” that “exploded very fast.”

Forecasters warned people across the Deep South to prepare for another onslaught of severe weather Thursday, one day after a line of storms that triggered tornadoes left at least ten people hurt. More than 8 million people will be at an “enhanced” risk of severe weather, according to the National Weather Service. The greatest threat of tornadoes and large hail will be in northern Mississippi and Alabama, along with parts of Tennessee, northwestern Georgia and southern Kentucky, forecasters say. Wednesday’s storms hit northeastern Oklahoma especially hard, knocking down trees and slamming into homes in the Tulsa and Owasso areas. At least one of the seven people hurt there was in critical condition, Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman Kelli Bruer said. Also, a suspected tornado hit the southeastern Arkansas town of Dermott wounding at least one person, according to officials there.

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday started imposing a travel restriction in the immediate area of Mount Kanlaon in Negros Oriental after it erupted twice on Tuesday evening. Senior Supt. Harris Fama, the director of the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO), said they have started implementing travel restriction within the four-kilometer radius from the crater of Kanlaon. “We are imposing travel restriction from within the four-kilometer radius of Mount Kanlaon, meaning that travel within the four-kilometer radius is now prohibited,” he said. The police official said that minor volcanic eruptions was monitored on Tuesday evening from Mount Kanlaon in Canlaon City, sending plumes of ash up to 1,500 meters into the sky.

A number of ISIS and Nusra Front militants have been killed and wounded in intense clashes near Lebanon’s northeastern border in the last 24 hours, Hezbollah-affiliated media and sources said. The War Media Center, which monitors fighting in the Syrian border area of Qalamoun and other parts of Syria where Hezbollah is present, said Sunday that Nusra militants recaptured a number of posts in Qalamoun’s Jarajir with the help of reinforcements. An EgyptAir plane flying from Alexandria to Cairo was hijacked and forced to land in Cyprus on Tuesday but the passengers and crew were freed unharmed and the hijacker, whose motives remained a mystery, was arrested after giving himself up. Eighty-one people, including 21 foreigners and 15 crew, had been onboard the Airbus 320 flight when it took off, Egypt’s Civil Aviation Ministry said in a statement. Conflicting theories emerged about the hijacker’s motives, with Cypriot officials saying early on the incident did not appear related to terrorism but the Cypriot state broadcaster saying he had demanded the release of women prisoners in Egypt. After the aircraft landed at Larnaca airport, negotiations began and everyone onboard was freed except three passengers and four crew, Egypt’s Civil Aviation Minister Sherif Fethy said. Soon after his comments, Cypriot television footage showed several people leaving the plane via the stairs and another man climbing out of the cockpit window and running off. Al-Musa pointed out that ISIS launched a surprise attack on the pro-regime forces, leading to fierce clashes between the two sides lasted for several hours. “ISIS militants were able to take over the tank battalion in addition to a nearby regime-led checkpointــwhich was taken as a first line of defense for the battalion,” he reported. However, after taking control of the battalion, ISIS was forced on Monday midnight to retreat under heavy blows by the Russian air force and the regime’s artillery–stationed in the vicinity of the T-four military airport. Meanwhile, A rebel group active in the fighting front north of Homs has merged into a larger Islamist coalition with close ties to Saudi Arabia. Iraqi officials say a suicide bombing in the capital has killed at least seven civilians and wounded 23. A police officer says the suicide bomber set off his payload among a group of day laborers in Baghdad’s Tayaran Square on Tuesday. A medical official confirms the toll. Both spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to brief reporters. The Islamic State group claimed the attack in an online statement circulated by supporters, saying it targeted Shiite militiamen. Murat Karayilan, Central Headquarters Commander of the Kurdistan People’s Defense Forces (HPG) said the time had come to “intervene” in the conflict, which so far has mainly involved members of the PKK’s youth wing, the Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H) and the Civil Protection Units (YPS). “Spring has come, the HPG should now intervene,” he said, addressing PKK supporters based in South and North Kurdistan via long-distance transmitters, according to the pro-PKK Firat News Agency (ANF). “However, this intervention should not be in the form of entering urban areas. It should be in the form of supporting the self-defense resistance of Kurdish youth under the umbrella of YPS from the mountains.”

Headline: Cyprus peace deal could come this year, confirm Turkey and US
Turkey and the US have agreed that a political settlement may be possible this year in Cyprus, the Mediterranean island divided for four decades. Turkish foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met the US secretary of state, John Kerry, in Washington, and both diplomats were upbeat about chances for a deal. “We have also some good news from the eastern part of the Mediterranean, I mean Cyprus,” Cavusoglu said ahead of their meeting. “We are hoping to reach a settlement in Cyprus in 2016. Turkey’s side is ready,” he said, confirming for the first time that a deal is possible this year. Cavusoglu said talks on the issue had slowed during preparations for May’s legislative elections in the Greek-speaking, independent south of the island. “But after the elections we are hoping to reach a settlement and the United States is giving its full support to this process as well as Turkey,” he said. The Pentagon and State Department said dependents of American staffers at the U.S. consulate in Adana, the nearby Incirlik air base and two other locations must leave. Headline: Anaheim police investigate pipe bomb explosion three miles from Disneyland in California
A pipe bomb detonated in an alleyway in Anaheim, California on 27 March, causing damage to the walls of a shuttered business, authorities said. Anaheim Police Sergeant Daron Wyatt said police received a call about an exploded transformer right before 2pm PDT/10pm GMT in the 600 block of North Anaheim Boulevard, near East Wilhelmina Street. However, when police investigated, they discovered a small explosive device, or pipe bomb, located in an alley outside the business, Wyatt told reporters. The bomb’s explosion caused moderate damage to the exterior walls of the empty building, The Los Angeles Times reported. Wyatt added that an end-cap of the device flew 45ft and punctured a hole in a nearby wooden fence. Police said no injuries were reported. According to the Times, homes and businesses in the area were briefly evacuation until the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s bomb squad determined the area was safe. According to CBS News, two other pipe bombs exploded in Anaheim in November and December of 2015. The police sergeant said it remains unclear if the latest incident is related to the previous two blasts but added that there was an arrest in the last two incidents. The latest incident occurred about three miles north of the Disneyland theme park, USA Today noted.

Current efforts to address these threats through law enforcement, surgical strikes on ISIS’s leadership, and linear attrition of ISIS’s terrain and resources are necessary but not sufficient to destroy the ISIS threat to Europe. The anti-ISIS coalition must deprive ISIS of its primary source of strength, its territorial control as a caliphate in Iraq, Syria, and now Libya.

ISIS ‘crucifies Catholic priest on Good Friday’ after kidnapping him from old people’s home where four nuns were shot dead
The Indian Catholic priest kidnapped by ISIS-linked terrorists in Yemen earlier this month was crucified on Good Friday, it has been claimed. Father Thomas Uzhunnalil, 56, was taken by Islamist gunmen, reportedly linked to ISIS, who attacked an old people’s home in Aden, southern Yemen, killing at least 15 people, on March 4. The terrorists reportedly carried out the heinous murder on Good Friday, after threatening to do so earlier in the week, according to the Archbishop of Vienna.

How many of you who are coming to my site think there is a large number of people who know just how many reports there have been concerning the birds, fish, and animals dying off in massive numbers? I would say there are not many people watching the last day signs Jesus told us to watch for. I would also say that there are not many Christians who are watching either. I say this because in the day in which we are living not many Christians read the word outside of Sunday services and, therefore they more than likely don’t even know about the prophecy related to the deaths of the birds, fish, and animals. The question I have is how many Christians who are coming to my site are telling (warning) there friends and families concerning this type of news? If Jesus commanded us to keep on the watch it was for a very good reason. First of all if you are watching and you see these things taking place it would give or, should give you great joy knowing your Fathers words are coming to pass and if they are coming to pass that means He can not be that far off from fulfilling the rest of the things He warned us about during these last days. What is our job as true believers anyway? Is it to keep on the watch and do nothing when you see prophecy fulfilled? Exactly what did Jesus say? “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20). In these last days without question it is becoming clearer who are the real Christians. They are the ones who love Jesus so much that nothing will stop them from talking to others about the true Messiah. Are are the ones who will talk to there family and friends without worrying what they will think of them. They will do this because Jesus is the most important thing in their life and they do what Jesus commanded of us but they do it out of love for Christ not just because it is a command. There are many ways a Christian can show people Jesus is the real Messiah. Prophecy is just one of the ways you can get peoples attention. If you keep pointing out the news like you have been seeing at this site I am sure Jesus will use it in one way or another and I stand on the word on this as in Isaiah 55:11. When you read the hundreds and hundreds of news reports every year showing the massive die offs of the birds, fish, and animals one has to think about what Jesus pointed to in Revelation 6:6. Doing a study you will learn that food is going to lead to many millions of deaths during the tribulation. What do I mean? Since the food supply is being wiped out the less food the higher the price for the food you can get! You will see a good example of this by what is happening with the Salmon down in Chile.

The fearful sights Jesus warned us about are getting worse faster. Last year the number of volcano blowing off hit a record and in 2015 we are seeing the same pattern again!

Have you noticed what is happening in Europe? The issue of immigrants pouring into Europe has again caused riots. This time the riot took place in Brussels. There is no question that little by little Europe is in fact being divided. A few years ago riots broke out in many places around the EU member states because of the economy which really has not be solved yet and to add to there burden millions of Muslims who will be looking for work have poured into Europe and as you saw from the recent bombings in Brussels many of the people coming into Europe have an ISIS agenda.

I Thessalonians 5:3,4: “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”
Now you know what Jesus said about the call for peace and safety let us take a look at new news concerning this warning. Many of you may not know but Israel and the Arabs have stopped any peace talks for years. Israel keeps saying how can we talk peace with people who want to wipe Israel off the map? I have a good point however, this has not stopped other nations from trying to ram down a peace deal in Israel’s mouth! Below you will see a new report entitled:
According to this report which says, “Quartet envoy Nicolai Mladenov announces the latest plan for dragging the Palestinian Authority back to peace talks“, what kind of peace talks are they trying to get if they have to drag it? Here is a short quote from this news report. ” The “Quartet” comprised of the United Nations, European Union, Russia and the United States is forming a new plan to revive the moribund Israel-Palestinian Authority peace process. UN special coordinator for the Middle East peace process Nicolai Mladenov told media at a news conference in New York on Wednesday the Quartet plans to issue an analysis of the obstacles to a final two-state solution. Included in the report will be recommendations on how to advance the process.”
I have a question for anyone reading this post. How many of you really think there will be a peace deal made this time? Before you answer that question I want you to consider what Jesus said, ” For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them”. Does this sudden destruction that comes while they are talking peace sound like there would be a peace agreement? Not to me. We have seen leaders call for this new peace deal over and over again and each time the talks restart they die out for two main reasons. First, the PL O will not recognize Israel as a nation and second, the PLO Charter which calls for Israel’s destruction will not change by the PLO. Besides that the PLO wants the borders on their new nation to go back to the 1967 lines which means the PLO would retake Jerusalem which will not fly with Israel. So what should we be looking for? Since they are talking about starting up the talks lets watch and see if Israel engages in these talks? If they do then that would be the time to keep on the watch because that is the time when all hell is to bring out as in the sudden destruction Christ warns about. As for me, every time the talks do start up I pay every close attention because I know what Psalm 83 tells us. Psalm 83 is what I truly believe will be the destruction. There are two news reports I want to share with you today concerning Syria. First of all what we know from the Lord is that Syria is downing down and Damascus is going to be leveled or as it says in the word of God “I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus. You add to what Jeremiah says to what Isaiah says and you will see the future very clearly for Syria. Isaiah 17:1 “The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” How many of you think that ISIS is just going to quit trying to take over Syria and Iraq? If you think they will stop you are mistaken because these fighters are fighting to bring forth world chaos. They want the chaos and hope for it as this chaos will bring out their Islamic savior. Why do you think the latest suicide attack in Brussels took place? ISIS wanted to show the world they can strict anywhere. Do you think that if they catch the other men who got away during this last bombing that ISIS doesn’t have 10 more people just like those who just blew themselves up? Let me tell you ISIS is never going to stop and do you know how I can tell? All you have to do is read Ezekiel 38. Ezekiel 38 shows us the exact nations who are going to try and invade Israel and they are the very nations that ISIS is moving into right now. Syria is just the beginning of what is to come as far as prophecy is concerned. So, what do you really think is going to happen to Syria now? Go ahead and read the two news reports below then ask yourself this question. Do I believe in what God has said or, will I trust some news reporter who doesn’t have a clue about what the Lord has stated for these nations? I suppose you should ask a few of the people who were lucky enough to escape the bombs in Brussels if they think these Islamic terrorists are going to give up their quest for bring Islam to the world? You will see in the 3rd report below Europe has at least 400 more of the type of men who just blew themselves up. The religious leader in Iran doesn’t have a problem telling the world he wants to destroy Israel and kill anyone who doesn’t follow Islam. The question is why doesn’t the world take him at his word? I have a message for Europe. Fight now, stop them now or your family members may be the next one ISIS hits? One thing is for sure they are in your nation and they are coming after you!

As long as I mentioned Iran I want to give you news on how Iran has attacked the U.S. via cyber attacks. Look, we know Iran wants war that is a given the question I ask is, what has taken so long for the mainstream media to print the truth that Obama has helped Iran’s cause buy giving them just about everything they want and, this comes will at the same time Iran has said they want to destroy not only Israel but the good old USA. Do you not know that every leader in every nation was allowed to be put there by God? It is clear to me that the leaders in position now are the perfect men to fulfill the prophecies that haven’t taken place yet. If Iran’s leader is not checked he will make good on his promise and attempt to kill off both the U.S. and Israel. Why do you think Iran is pushing so hard for a nuclear bomb? If you think they won’t use it you may want to take a look at Ezekiel 38 again because we see God using the type of force against Iran that Iran wanted to use against Israel and that goes for the rest of the nations who come down with Iran against Israel.

I few years ago I had a young movie producer call me and ask me to meet him in LA. He had been coming to my site and he heard one of my many stories about what Jesus did to bring people to His kingdom. I did meet him in LA and at that meeting I told him many true accounts of what Jesus did. He was blown away by what he heard. I did tell him that I haven’t shared to many of these accounts because I didn’t think people would believe such things happened and, I didn’t think it was the right time to tell what happened. Before he left he told me that he was just breaking into the business so it may take some time to make a movie about what happened to me. That didn’t bother me because over the years I came to learn when and if Jesus wants something done He will make sure it happens. I was great full to the Lord that I had a chance to finally tell a person some of what Jesus did to bring me into this last days ministry.
I know this story is a powerful story about Jesus and how He moved to make sure people got saved. I haven’t heard from that young producer since then but as I said, that is okay. As I said, the timing of telling what Jesus did I felt was not right. However, Jesus has begun to show me that the timing to tell the complete story is coming about and He showed me what would happen when I told this story. For example, my Sister-in-law who lives in Palm Springs called me and asked me to come down and give a home prophecy seminar to some of her friends. One of the women who came was Susan Stafford. You will see here picture below. Many of you may remember her as the original letter turner on the Whell of Fortune. As I was about 35 minutes into showing the documents proving the last days signs Jesus had given me Susan asked me to stop. She told me that the documents to prove what Jesus had said was overwhelming but that she was inclined to ask me about me. I told Susan the account of how at first via a dream from Jesus He came to me to give me orders what I must do for Him. When I woke from that dream is when my life took a 180 degree turn and I would never be the same. I am not going to tell you what happened immediately after I woke up but, I will tell you what Susan said to me. She called me a prophet and said you are like someone we would read about in the book of Acts.
Let it be known that since Jesus put me in this end times ministry I have never called myself a prophet nor have I ever encouraged anyone to do so. I was blown away from Susan”s remarks to say the least. I remember telling Susan that all I am is the man in the boat for Jesus without oars moving down stream and, when Jesus wants something done He will bring me ashore to carry out the thing He has given me to do and I do it. Like the young producer Susan told me that she was going to do something so people could hear my story but like that producer Susan never did contact me.
What I took away from that Palm Springs account was just how powerful my testimony can be. Just recently Jesus has shown me now is the time to begin telling the testimony He has given me. I am in a waiting mode waiting to see what Jesus is going to do and, in the meantime I have been sharing short stories to a small group of people who are attending my prophecy seminar in Lompoc. What I am about to share with you I do so not in bragging but, with great respect for my Father Jesus Christ because, everything that has happened to me it happened to give glory to Him. I understand my role in Christ and that role is to listen to what Jesus asks of me and then just do it. Once I say yes to Christ, Jesus makes things happen that are acts like we read in the book of Acts.
Trust me, I am quick to point to Christ in all these stories. I am also quick to make sure Frank DiMora is moved out of the way so people can see the most important part of each one my stories and that is it’s all about Jesus and His great works moving people into His kingdom. That being said, I will get back to this small group of people that are coming to my prophecy seminar. As I said before Christ is showing me the time is coming to tell what He has done. As a result of some of the stories at this seminar the people were completely blown away just like the young producer and Susan Stafford. I had a number of people go to the pastors at Trinity and request I tell my story to the entire Church. I admit my testimony is a powerful one but, it is only powerful because Jesus was and will always be the center of what took place. All I did was carry out what I was told to do and, then I witnessed the results of me saying yes to Christ’s orders. As in the past I am excited to see what Jesus is going to do? Some times it’s hard to wait but when it finally comes all I can say is move over Satan many are going to turn away from being lost in your grip.
I welcome anyone who came to the prophecy seminar on March 15th and the 22nd to tell how you felt and what Jesus did when you heard these stories. I want to proclaim to anyone who is reading my post today that the Holy Spirit is active, very active and He is doing great things just as He did in the early Church. In these last days look for the the strongest Christians you can find in your Church and meet with them because you are going to want to be around these strong believers in Christ as things get worse and, they are going to get worse.
