What Will Happen to America in the Last Days?

Many people are asking what role—if any—America will play during the last days. While the Bible does not specifically name the United States, it does give us insight into the global landscape during the end times. One of the clearest revelations is that a One World Government will emerge, led by the Antichrist. Both the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation describe this man of sin rising to power and forcing the world to submit to his rule by taking his identification mark—what Scripture refers to as the number 666. Given that America is currently the world’s leading superpower, something significant must happen to remove her from that position in order for this new global leader to take control. As of September 2025, the United States’ national debt has surpassed $36.60 trillion and continues to grow. Could this massive debt trigger a collapse of the U.S. economy, leading to a global financial meltdown that paves the way for the Antichrist’s rise? Or will it be a devastating war that weakens America, leaving the door open for a new world leader?  Some say it will be America’s moral decay that breaks her down. Whatever the cause, Scripture points to a dramatic shift in global power. In any case, the fall of America’s global dominance appears to be a necessary step in the fulfillment of end-time prophecy. Our generation is witnessing antisemitism spreading around the world and, it will get much worse during the tribulation period at which time this prophecy will be completely fulfilled.

What did Jesus mean when He gave this warning in 2 Thessalonians 2:11?

“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.”

This verse is set in the context of those who refuse to believe the truth of the Gospel and instead choose to embrace falsehoods and deception. It reveals that God allows—or permits—a powerful delusion to overtake those who reject the truth, leading them even deeper into lies. This is understood as a form of divine judgment, a consequence for their willful rejection of God’s truth.

Could it be possible that when the Church of Christ is raptured and taken to heaven, the “strong delusion” will be the lie that those missing were taken by aliens—and that those left behind are actually the “good” people? When, in reality, the opposite is true?

Since we are living in the last days you better realize the warning God gave to us concerning false prophets in the last days is real however, people under these false prophets have decided not to listen to God’s warning and walk in the way of God’s enemy Satan. Take a look at the warning from God and I will show you one such false prophet and his false church. Deuteronomy 18:20-22 ²⁰ But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.” ²¹ You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” ²² If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.

When somebody says the Lord told him something that would happen in the future that’s a prophecy. If what was prophesied doesn’t come to pass then Satan was behind that false prophecy. Joseph Smith is the man who started the Mormon religion . As you will see below, Smith not only fulfilled the warning God gave in Deuteronomy 18 but he also to the letter fulfilled what Paul warned in Galatians 1:6-9 . By Smith’s own statements and his own prophecies, we know he was a false prophet.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the Mormon Church or LDS Church) has had a number of prophecies and predictions made by its early leaders—especially Joseph Smith, the church’s founder—that did not come to pass as stated. Let me make this clear, The messages Joseph Smith got did not come from God!!!

Below is a list of the most widely cited failed prophecies in LDS history, along with brief descriptions and references. Keep in mind, when Mormons come to your door they will never tell you anything about Joseph Smith’s false prophecies.

In the Mormon publication called The Doctrine of Salvation, it states the following on page 188.  “Mormonism so-called stands or falls on the history of Joseph Smith. For either he was a prophet, with divine calling, name and empowerment, or he was one of the greatest charlatans the world has ever known” (V.1).  If Joseph Smith really was a true prophet from God, then every one of his prophecies should have come to pass.  However, when one reviews Smith’s prophecy record, it is quickly discovered there were numerous prophecies which did not come to pass.  Remember, it only takes one false prophecy to become a false prophet.  Here is an example of just one of those prophecies which turned out to be false.   Joseph Smith claimed that before the year 1891, and before he reached the age of 85, Jesus Christ would return.  Did this come true?  Of course not.  Here are the facts.  Joseph Smith did not reach the age of 85; he died at the age of 39 after being shot in the face on June 27, 1844.  Anyone alive knows Jesus Christ did not return before the year 1891 as was told by Smith.  His own records prove he was a false prophet, and anyone following Smith’s teachings today is following a gospel of a false prophet!  Also, just like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, if you ask Mormons to show you all the prophecies Joseph Smith made, they will refuse.  Why?  Because just like JW’s, they are trying to keep all this information hidden.  After all, who in their right minds would want to follow a false prophet and a satanic angel? Look what Paul the Apostle warned us about angel coming preaching another gospel other than the one Christ gave us.

    Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ Unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”  Joseph Smith fulfilled Paul’s warning in that an angel named Moroni came to Smith with what is now known as the Book of Mormon which is another gospel other than was preached by Jesus and the Apostles. Smith claimed the prophet who last contributed to the work returned to earth as an angel and told him where to find it. This angel then helped Smith translate the work from “reformed Egyptian” characters into English. However, no such ancient language has ever existed. The Book of Mormon, though it mentions a lot of historical things, lacks the archeological evidence to back it up.  None of the cities or people mentioned specifically regarding the Book of Mormon have been discovered. What has been written in the bible is always coming to light via new archaeological finds, yet not one archaeological find has been made in support of the Book of Mormon. Why? Because none of what the angel told Smith was true. Lee Strobel says “Archaeology has repeatedly failed to substantiate its claims about events that supposedly occurred long ago in the Americas. I remember writing to the Smithsonian Institute to inquire about whether there was any evidence supporting the claims of Mormonism, only to be told in unequivocal terms that its archaeologists see ‘no direct connection between the archaeology of the New World and the subject matter of the book.’ The Book of Mormon has absolutely no credibility. The people and places are not proven to exist, it was written by a man and not God-breathed. Also, the Book of Mormon contains grave errors and contradictions.

In1843 Joseph Smith prophesied that the United States government would be overthrown and wasted within a few years if they refused to redress the wrongs committed against the Mormons in Missouri (History of the Church, Vol. 5, pg. 394). The United States government has never formally redressed any wrongs committed against the Mormons in Missouri and the government still stands nearly 170 years later.

In 1835 Joseph Smith prophesied the Lord’s return within 56 years (History of the Church, Vol. 2, pg. 182). By 1891 this was proven to be a false prophecy. (History of the Church, Vol. 2, pg. 182). Link

Again, Smith prophesied in 1843 Joseph Smith the United States government would be overthrown and wasted within a few years. Smith cited the reason why the U.S government would be wasted in the book entitled: (History of the Church, Vol. 5, pg. 394). Let it be known the U. S. government has never formally redressed any wrongs committed against the Mormons in Missouri as Smith demanded. Here we are 180 years later and the U.S. government is still standing. Notice on p. 394 Smith stated, “I prophesy in the name of the Lord God”.

In the year 1832 Joseph Smith prophesied the present generation of Mormons would not pass away before the temple of the New Jerusalem would be built in Zion, Missouri. This prophecy by Smith can be found in the (Doctrine & Covenants Section 84). The Mormons were forced to flee Missouri because of The Extermination Order. It was a military order signed by Missouri Governor Lilburn W. Boggs on October 27, 1838, directing that the Mormons be driven from the state or exterminated.  Fact is, the Mormons did flee Missouri and that was proof what Smith prophesied was just another false prophecy.

Below is Section 84. You can read for yourself what Smith prophesied.

“Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Kirtland, Ohio, September 22 and 23, 1832. During the month of September, elders had begun to return from their missions in the eastern states and to make reports of their labors. It was while they were together in this season of joy that the following communication was received. The Prophet designated it a revelation on priesthood.

1–5, The New Jerusalem and the temple will be built in Missouri; 6–17, The line of priesthood from Moses to Adam is given; 18–25, The greater priesthood holds the key of the knowledge of God; 26–32, The lesser priesthood holds the key of the ministering of angels and of the preparatory gospel; 33–44, Men gain eternal life through the oath and covenant of the priesthood; 45–53, The Spirit of Christ enlightens men, and the world lies in sin; 54–61, The Saints must testify of those things they have received; 62–76, They are to preach the gospel, and signs will follow; 77–91, Elders are to go forth without purse or scrip, and the Lord will care for their needs; 92–97, Plagues and cursings await those who reject the gospel; 98–102, The new song of the redemption of Zion is given; 103–10, Let every man stand in his own office and labor in his own calling; 111–20, The Lord’s servants are to proclaim the abomination of desolation of the last days.

3 Which city shall be ^abuilt, beginning at the ^btemple lot, which is appointed by the finger of the Lord, in the western boundaries of the State of Missouri, and ^cdedicated by the hand of Joseph Smith, Jun., and others with whom the Lord was well pleased.

4 Verily this is the word of the Lord, that the city ^aNew Jerusalem shall be built by the gathering of the saints, beginning at this place, even the place of the temple, which ^btemple shall be ^creared in this ^dgeneration.

5 For verily this generation shall not all ^apass away until an ^bhouse shall be built unto the Lord, and a ^ccloud shall rest upon it, which cloud shall be even the ^dglory of the Lord, which shall fill the house.” Link to Section 84.

In 1832 Joseph Smith prophesied the United States civil war would eventually engulf all nations (Doctrine & Covenants Section 87).   It has been 150 years since the civil war ended and everyone alive knows the U.S. civil war did not engulf all the nations.  Link to Doctrine & Covenants Section 87.

If you are a Mormon and you know these facts and are still part of the Mormon Church you are as Paul stated accursed!

Does anyone out there know why Jesus Christ is going to come back? The answer is, to stop Satan and finally to set up his perfect kingdom on Earth. As you can see from the nightly news Satan is using people to destroy lives. When Christ returns everything is going to change! Police responded to reports of a shooting shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday at the complex on Woodville Street. They found three people shot. A 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

America lost a powerful Christian voice when Charlie Kirk was gunned down yesterday at a university in Utah.
Charlie is being remembered as an advocate for Conservative values and American exceptionalism, and he certainly was that. But at 31 years old, he was a bold proclaimer of the Gospel. We should never fool ourselves into thinking that if we simply speak truth boldly people will inevitably embrace it.
But the battle for the hearts and souls of millions continues. Satan is raging because he knows his time is short. The Left is raging because, in the words of Jesus in John 3:19, it loves the darkness.
