Prophecy Sign: Luke 21:25 the roaring of the seas and waves (storms)
“At least 224 people have died in flooding in Thailand since mid-July and water has inundated the 400-year-old Chai Wattanaram temple in the ancient city of Ayutthaya, a World Heritage Site, officials say. The temple is by the Chao Phraya river, which flows down to the capital, Bangkok, around 105 km to the south. "The water level is now up to 1.5 meters and 150 soldiers are deployed in the area to fix the embankment," said Wittaya Pewpong, governor of Ayutthaya province.”
We know Jesus is real close when you see the rebuilding of Babylon. There are some who teach Babylon will never be rebuilt again as it was already destroyed. However, Babylon was never destroyed as predicted in the Word of God.
In the Bible Jesus speaks to us about this great and wealthy city of Babylon. Babylon is portrayed during a period of time immediately before its destruction, near the time of Armageddon. The information I am going to give you will show you that his great city of Babylon will come back again, and from all indications the rebuilding of Iraq will speed up very soon as you will see below.
In my Jan. 22, 2011 post I give you a detailed list of reasons from the Word of God that shows Babylon was not destroyed fully as predicted, and that this destruction is still for the future. I have given you the link to my post below in order that you can see why I am in the camp that Babylon will be destroyed at the tail end of the tribulation.
Concerning modern day Babylon, it is likely that such impressive wealth and commercial influence as described in Revelation would be acquired primarily during the period of seemingly peace and prosperity, this can happen in two ways. First, we could see Iraq stabilize as a new government takes over and allows for the nation to begin the rebuilding from its war just prior to the rapture of the Church.
Second, it could also be that when the rapture of the church takes place, and the Antichrist takes over the world the world will go through a short period of what appears to be a time of peace. I say this based on Daniel 8:25 where we are told the following concerning this rise of the Antichrist. “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.”
President Obama on September 21, 2011 addressed the UN General Assembly where he stated the following: “At the end of this year, America’s military operation in Iraq will be over. We will have a normal relationship with a sovereign nation that is a member of the community of nations. That equal partnership will be strengthened by our support for Iraq — for its government and for its security forces, for its people and for their aspirations.”
One day laterSecretary of Defense Leon Panetta submitted his statement on Afghanistan and Iraq on Sept. 22, 2011.
"Let me begin with Iraq, where our focus has been on ending the war in a responsible way that allows Iraq to become a sovereign, stable, self-reliant nation and a positive force for stability in the region. Given Iraq’s importance, situated strategically in the Middle East, it is profoundly in the American national interest that it emerge as a strategic partner for the United States, and our broader goal moving forward is to build an enduring partnership with the sovereign Iraqi government.”
“Today fewer than 50,000 U.S. forces remain in Iraq, and based on the November 2008 Security Agreement reached with the Iraqi government under the last administration, we are planning to remove all of our troops from Iraq by the end of the year.”
“The United States wants a normal, productive relationship and close strategic partnership with a sovereign Iraqi government going forward – similar to the partnerships we have with other countries in the region and around the world.”

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — It sounds like a horror movie: Biting ants invade by the millions. A camper's metal walls bulge from the pressure of ants nesting behind them. A circle of poison stops them for only a day, and then a fresh horde shows up, bringing babies. Stand in the yard, and in seconds ants cover your shoes.
It's an extreme example of what can happen when the ants — which also can disable huge industrial plants — go unchecked. Controlling them can cost thousands of dollars. But the story is real, told by someone who's been studying ants for a decade.
"Months later, I could close my eyes and see them moving," said Joe MacGown, who curates the ant, mosquito and scarab collections at the Mississippi State Entomological Museum at Mississippi State University.
He's been back to check on the hairy crazy ants. They're still around. The occupant isn't.
The flea-sized critters are called crazy because each forager scrambles randomly at a speed that your average picnic ant, marching one by one, reaches only in video fast-forward. They're called hairy because of fuzz that, to the naked eye, makes their abdomens look less glossy than those of their slower, bigger cousins.
And they're on the move in Florida, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. In Texas, they've invaded homes and industrial complexes, urban areas and rural areas. They travel in cargo containers, hay bales, potted plants, motorcycles and moving vans. They overwhelm beehives — one Texas beekeeper was losing 100 a year in 2009. They short out industrial equipment.
If one gets electrocuted, its death releases a chemical cue to attack a threat to the colony, said Roger Gold, an entomology professor at Texas A&M.
"The other ants rush in. Before long, you have a ball of ants," he said.

In Europe, policy is still on deflationary settings, with protestors in Athens fighting back against austerity measures.

In many of my previous posts I warned you that if you watched the news you will see and hear more news about a depression coming. For example, in my post Dec. 8, 2008 this is what I wrote you. “Early this year I asked you to watch the news because you would start hearing more talk about a Depression coming.” Since 2008 the world has been fighting off going deeper into an on going recession, but there is no question the global economic crisis has gotten much worse since 2008. “The world savings rate has surpassed its modern-era high of 24pc. This is the killer in the global system. It is why we are at imminent risk of tipping into a second, deeper leg of intractable depression”.
“The global financial system is on the edge of a new credit crunch as the cost of insuring the bonds of banks across the world hits new highs, analysts have said” “
Credit default swaps on lenders as far afield as China and Australia, countries that until recently seemed immune to the chaos, have doubled in the last two months to levels not seen since the financial crisis.
In Europe, French and Belgian government officials are due to meet on Monday to discuss the crisis enveloping Dexia as speculation mounts about a possible break-up of the Franco-Belgian lender.
Last week, the cost of insuring Dexia bonds hit an all-time high of 900 basis points, nearly double the level just two months ago, meaning the annual cost to insure €10m (£8.59m) of the bonds is £900,000.
"The money ran out in June and what you are seeing now is the beginning of a new credit crunch, except this time it will be truly global, not Western," said one senior London-based credit analyst.
Headline: “Barack Obama: Euro zone debt crisis ‘scaring the world’ “President Barack Obama says the financial crisis in Europe is contributing to slow economic growth worldwide and that leaders in the euro zone were not dealing with the issue quickly enough”.
More bad news for the US economy!
“(Reuters) – Shares of American Airlines parent AMR Corp (AMR.N) fell as much as 41 percent on Monday on growing fears the third-largest U.S. airline is headed for bankruptcy, although the carrier said Chapter 11 is "not our goal."
The stock's decline to its lowest price since 2003 outpaced share losses posted by rival carriers, which also suffered on worries that economic weakness could drain travel demand this autumn.
"When can they stop the bleeding of cash?" asked Basili Alukos, an equity analyst at Morningstar. AMR had a second-quarter net loss of $286 million, while rivals showed profits.
More bad news for the global economic outlook. This time the news is about Greece.
“LONDON (AP) – Stocks took another hit Monday after Greece admitted it won't meet its deficit reduction targets, raising renewed fears that the country will not get crucial bailout loans it needs to avoid a default. The euro hit a near ten-year low against the yen and a near-2011 low against the dollar. The renewed bout of jitters were stoked by Sunday's statement from the Greek finance ministry that the deficit this year will likely be 8.5 percent of its gross domestic product, higher than the 7.8 percent previously anticipated.”
In chapter one of my prophecy book I give you the specific details showing you how the US is declining in power and how this decline is adding to the burdens of a global economic crisis. One of the details I cite is the number of banks that have folded. In my posts and in my prophecy book I warn you that many other banks will also fold. Here is the latest news concerning this issue. “Regulators on Friday closed a small bank in Texas, boosting to 74 the number of U.S. bank failures this year. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. seized First International Bank, based in Plano, Texas, with seven branches, $239.9 million in assets and $208.8 million in deposits.”
Open up your eyes and pay attention to Jesus’ warnings because the new global economic system is going to have to rise, and out of this new system will come the Antichrist.

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) -A new documentary about Mayan civilization will provide evidence of extraterrestrial contact with the ancient culture, according to a Mexican government official and the film's producer.
"Revelations of the Mayans 2012 and Beyond," currently in production, will claim the Mayans had contact with extraterrestrials, producer Raul Julia-Levy revealed to TheWrap.
"Mexico will release codices, artifacts and significant documents with evidence of Mayan and extraterrestrial contact, and all of their information will be corroborated by archaeologists," said Julia-Levy, son of actor Raul Julia.
In a release to TheWrap, Luis Augusto Garcia Rosado, the minister of tourism for the Mexican state of Campeche, said new evidence has emerged "of contact between the Mayans and extraterrestrials, supported by translations of certain codices, which the government has kept secure in underground vaults for some time."
He also spoke, in a phone conversation, of "landing pads in the jungle that are 3,000 years old."

In my June 14, 2011 post I gave you news concerning the ozone layer depletion. I gave you this news in light of what it warns in Revelation 16: 8-11. “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched [1] with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. 10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.”
One of the factors leading to crop destruction is the ozone layer depletion “The ozone layer has seen unprecedented damage in the Arctic this winter due to cold weather in the upper atmosphere. By the end of March, 40% of the ozone in the stratosphere had been destroyed, against a previous record of 30%” (BBC News April 5, 2011). “Loss of ozone allows more of the Sun's harmful ultraviolet-B rays to penetrate through the atmosphere. This has been linked to increased rates of skin cancer, cataracts and immune system damage. "With no ozone layer, you would have 70 times more UV than we do now – so you can say the ozone layer is a sunscreen of factor 70," said Dr Braathen” (Ibid.).
“Ozone loss over the Arctic this year was so severe that for the first time it could be called an "ozone hole" like the Antarctic one, scientists report. About 20km (13 miles) above the ground, 80% of the ozone was lost, they say. The cause was an unusually long spell of cold weather at altitude. In cold conditions, the chlorine chemicals that destroy ozone are at their most active. It is currently impossible to predict if such losses will occur again, the team writes in the journal Nature.” “The ozone layer blocks ultraviolet-B rays from the Sun, which can cause skin cancer and other medical conditions.”
As long as I am on the subject of intense heat here is more news showing us the signs Jesus warned us about.
“While people in the mid-Atlantic were dealing with a chilly rain and wet snow, the High Plains are gearing up for several more days of near-record warmth. Several record high temperatures were broken Saturday and Sunday as temperatures soared into the upper 80s to mid-90s from Montana and Wyoming into the Dakotas. Dickinson, N.D., hit a record 95°, while the temperature in Rapid City, S.D., soared to 94°. Additional records are likely to fall each afternoon early this week from eastern Montana through Wyoming, northeastern Colorado, the western Dakotas and western Nebraska. The culprit behind this bout of record warmth is a sprawling area of high pressure centered over the southern Plains. West-to-southwest flow around the area of high pressure sends the air down the lee side of the Rocky Mountains.”

Iran pastor guilty of being a 'Zionist, traitor' Iranian pastor Yusef Nadarkhani should face the death penalty for being a traitorous "Zionist" and committing "security crimes," not for apostasy, an official said Friday according to Fars news agency, amid a Western outcry over his sentence.
TEHRAN, IRAN (Worthy News)– Militants with suspected ties to Iranian security forces have threatened to kill nearly a dozen evangelical Christians who fled Iran unless they "repent" and return to Islam, well-informed sources told Worthy News early Sunday, October 2.
At least 11 Iranian Christians received electronic mail messages from ‘The Unknown Soldiers Of The Hidden Imam’ calling on them to either repent or face extra-judicial execution, said an Iranian church group and religious rights organization Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW).
The email threats came as in Iran Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani was awaiting a possible death sentence as early as Sunday, October 2, on charges of "apostasy", or abandoning Islam, although an Iranian official and government-linked media included "offenses" ranging from "rape and extortion" to "security crimes" to the long list of alleged wrongdoings.
The ‘Unknown Soldiers’ are alleged to have links with Iranian security services, CSW told Worthy News in a statement.
For Jesus name sake: "CAIRO, Egypt – A group of hard-line Muslims attacked a church building in Upper Egypt Friday afternoon, torching the structure and then looting and burning nearby Christian-owned homes and businesses. The 3,000-strong mob of hard-line and Salafi Muslims gutted the Mar Gerges Church in the Elmarenab village of Aswan, then demolished much of its remains, multiple witnesses at the scene said. The mob also razed four homes near the church and two businesses, all Christian-owned. Looting was also reported.Michael Ramzy, a villager in Elmarenab, said the attack started shortly after Muslims held their afternoon prayers. “Imams in more than 20 mosques called for crowds to gather and destroy the church and demolish the houses of the Copts and loot their properties,” Ramzy told local media."

The lead article in the Chinese Communist Party newspaper Global Times. Tuesday carried the headline "The time to use force has arrived in the South China Sea; Let's wage wars on the Philippines and Vietnam to prevent more wars."

October 2, 2011 – INDONESIA – Indonesian officials have raised the status of one of its most dangerous volcanoes, Anak Krakatau, to a “standby” or level IV- the highest level. The Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG), Surono said this is a rise in status that was set on Friday, September 30, 2011 evening at 24.00. The reason for the elevated status is because of the high-intensity level of earthquakes. Today, for example. “On October 2, 2011, at 00.00 until 12.00, there are 2745 recorded seismic events,” said Surono, when he was contacted by VIVAnews.com, Sunday, October 2, 2011. Earthquakes under Mount Anak Krakatau, Surono added, were even felt all along the island of Anak Krakatau. “The swarm of tremors are continuous and although small, 2 on the Richter scale, they are cause for concern because they are felt constantly,” he added. He explained, almost since 2007, Krakatau has been stirred by unrest. “In a moment, it stopped, and erupted in 2009. This is a very interesting time because during the 10 days of awe between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur God opens the door of Heaven to receive the repentance of the Jews and then closes the door on Yom Kippur. Definitely a high alert watch time. The bottomline is this. Be ready every day of your life to go home with Christ at any given second! He is coming!

“BAGHDAD, IRAQ (Worthy News)– Security forces on Wednesday, September 28, still searched for three Iraqi Christians, a week after they were reportedly kidnapped by suspected militants in Iraq's northern city of Kirkuk. "Gunmen in a modern vehicle blocked the Christians’ way, set their white Landrover [car] on fire, killed their hunting dogs and led them to an unknown destination," Iraq's Alsumaria television quoted a police source as saying. The attack reportedly happened last Wednesday night September 21 in Kirkuk's southern Daquq district after they returned from a nearby hunting trip. "Iraqi police and army mobilized their troops and launched a search campaign looking for the three kidnapped Christians," added the source, speaking on condition of anonymity amid apparent security concerns.”
Egypt has seen a large decrease in Christian citizens since March, Report says
Increased tension between Islam and Christianity has resulted in the emigration of 100,000 Christians from Egypt since March 2011, which commentators are saying will detrimentally affect Egypt’s demographic diversity and economic stability.
The report documenting the emigration, compiled by the Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organizations, contends that the main vein of conflict is between the Egyptian’s Muslim sect, the Salafists, and Egypt’s Christian sect, the Copts.
Christians are also fleeing other areas of the Middle East, including Iraqand Palestine. Lebanon’s Christian population has fallen from 75 percent to 32 percent. Critics argue that such immense emigration is in large due to the Arab Spring uprisings beginning in December 2010. These protests gave the predominately Islamic nations a confidence boost.

“It’s not a new virus, but doctors need to keep an eye out for one that’s not usually on the radar screen, federal health officials said on Thursday. It’s called human enterovirus 68, or HEV68, and it can cause an unusually severe type of cold that can even kill in some cases. The virus has been around for decades, but for some reason it’s been causing clusters of serious illness over the past three years, the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports. Three people, two in the Philippines and one in Japan, died from an HEV68 outbreak during 2008-2010, CDC and other scientists report in this week’s newsletter on illness and death. There were also several clusters of the virus outbreak in the United States that sent batches of patients to the hospital, including in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Arizona.”

“AUSTIN (AP) – The state climatologist for Texas says the record drought of 2011 could be only the beginning of a dry spell that could last until 2020. State climatologist John Nielsen-Gammon tells the Austin American-Statesman says water planning is often based on standards set by the previous record drought of the 1950s, which lasted nearly 10 years. “HANOI, Vietnam (AP) – A tropical storm whacked into Vietnam on Friday, forcing 20,000 people to be evacuated, as the Philippines braced for a new typhoon and several Asian countries reeled under floods after some of the wildest weather this summer.
Prolonged monsoon flooding, typhoons and storms have wreaked untold havoc in the region, leaving more than 600 people dead or missing in India, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, China, Pakistan and Vietnam in the last four months. Several studies suggest an intensification of the Asian summer monsoon rainfall with increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations, the state-run Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology said. Still, it is not clear that this is entirely because of climate change, especially in India, it said.
After pummeling the Philippines and China this week, Typhoon Nesat was downgraded to a tropical storm just before churning into northern Vietnam on Friday afternoon with sustained wind speeds of up to 73 mph (118 kph), according to the national weather forecasting center.
Heavy rains were reported in northern and central areas. Warnings were issued for flash floods and landslides in mountainous regions, and for flooding in low-lying areas. High winds whipped through the streets of the capital, Hanoi.
The storm had flooded streets across the southern Chinese island of Hainan on Thursday, forcing some 300,000 people to flee their homes, China's official Xinhua News Agency said.”

Over 150 earthquakes were recorded on the smallest of the Canary Islands during Tuesday prompting officials to evacuate some local residents, shut El Hierro’s main tunnel, and close local schools.
At least 20 earthquakes, exceeding magnitude 3.0 on the Richter Scale, have been felt by local residents during the last 24 hours. The most recent earthquake, which measured 3.4 magnitude, was recorded just off the southern tip of the island at 07:04 am Wednesday.
The rise in seismic activity last night prompted the Spanish Civil Guard (Guardia Civil) to advise almost 50 residents of the municipality of La Frontera to leave their homes because of landslide fears.

The Chancellor's office said Merkel told Netanyahu that the new housing permits "raise doubts over the Israeli government's readiness to begin serious negotiation with the Palestinians." Over the past two weeks Merkel, along with U.S. President Barack Obama, worked to issue a new Quarter declaration calling on the sides to return to the negotiating table as soon as possible. "The Quartet's announcement made it clear that the sides must avoid taking provocative steps," Merkel told Netanyahu. "I cannot understand how only a few days after the Quartet's announcement there is news of the approval of 1,100 new housing units." Merkel added that "the government of Israel must now clear the doubts over its seriousness. It is your responsibility."

According to liberals the world supports the idea of Israel going back to 1967 borders in order to achieve peace and security in the region. The only problem with that position is that if Israel would actually implement that strategy, there would be NO Israel. Many of you may not know this but Israel is dealing with the PLO who in their charter calls for the destruction of Israel. Why would any nation who is really seeking peace and security with an enemy want to work for peace while they are working to wipe you off the map? This is what the UN wants Israel to do. I want you to read Article 15 of this PLO charter.
“Article 15: The liberation of Palestine, from an Arab viewpoint, is a national (qawmi) duty and it attempts to repel the Zionist and imperialist aggression against the Arab homeland, and aims at the elimination of Zionism in Palestine. Absolute responsibility for this falls upon the Arab nation – peoples and governments – with the Arab people of Palestine in the vanguard. Accordingly, the Arab nation must mobilize all its military, human, moral, and spiritual capabilities to participate actively with the Palestinian people in the liberation of Palestine. The submission was part of a unilateral statehood initiative launched by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The European Parliament, in a resolution passed Thursday, said lawmakers viewed the Palestinian bid for statehood as legitimate. "The right of Palestinians to self-determination and to have their own state is unquestionable, as is the right of Israel to exist within safe borders," the resolution reads.”

“Does international law matter? Do U.N. member states respect the U.N. Charter? The Palestinian Authority has declared it will seek statehood at the U.N. as early as next week. They will do so with the full backing of every Islamic nation in the world and with the expected backing of numerous other nations that are historically hostile to Israel. It’s critical to understand, however, that if the U.N. recognizes the Palestinian Authority, it will violate its own charter, violate longstanding norms of international law, and further impair its credibility with vital (and powerful) members of the world community.

By recognizing a unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state, the U.N. would be an accomplice to a fundamental breach of the Oslo Accords which prohibit either side from taking any steps to change the status of the West Bank or Gaza pending the outcome of permanent status negotiations.

Iran is drawing widespread criticism over reports that an Iranian pastor faces execution for refusing to recant his Christian faith and return to Islam. House Speaker John Boehner issued a statement Wednesday asking Iran to spare Yusef Nadarkhani's life. "I urge Iran's leaders to abandon this dark path, spare Yusef Nadarkhani's life, and grant him a full and unconditional release," said Boehner, an Ohio Republican. "Religious freedom is a universal human right," Boehner said. He said that the prospects that Nadarkhani could be executed "unless he disavows his Christian faith are distressing for people of every country and creed. "While Iran's government claims to promote tolerance, it continues to imprison many of its people because of their faith. This goes beyond the law to an issue of fundamental respect for human dignity," said Boehner.”

"An Iranian pastor who has refused to renounce his Christian faith faces execution as early as Wednesday after his sentence was upheld by an Iranian court.
Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who maintains he has never been a Muslim as an adult, has Islamic ancestry and therefore must recant his faith in Jesus Christ, the 11th branch of Iran's Gilan Provincial Court ruled. Iran's Supreme Court had ordered the trial court to determine whether Nadarkhani had been a Muslim prior to converting to Christianity.
The judges, according to the American Center for Law & Justice, demanded that Nadarkhani, 34, recant his Christian faith before submission of evidence. Though the judgment runs against current Iranian and international laws and is not codified in Iranian penal code, the judge stated that the court must uphold the decision of the 27th Branch of the Supreme Court in Qom.
When asked to repent, Nadarkhani stated: "Repent means to return. What should I return to? To the blasphemy that I had before my faith in Christ?"
"To the religion of your ancestors, Islam," the judge replied, according to the American Center for Law & Justice.
"I cannot," Nadarkhani said.
Nadarkhani is the latest Christian cleric to be imprisoned in Iran for his religious beliefs. According to Elam Ministries, a United Kingdom-based organization that serves Christian churches in Iran, there was a significant increase in the number of Christians arrested solely for practicing their faith between June 2010 and January 2011. A total of 202 arrests occurred during that six-month period, including 33 people who remained in prison as of January, Elam reported.
An Assyrian evangelical pastor, Rev. Wilson Issavi, was imprisoned for 54 days for allegedly converting Muslims prior to his release in March 2010, Elam officials told FoxNews.com.
Nadarkhani, a pastor in the 400-member Church of Iran, has been held in that country's Gilan Province since October 2009, after he protested to local education authorities that his son was forced to read from the Koran at school. His wife, Fatemeh Pasandideh, was also arrested in June 2010 in an apparent attempt to pressure him to renounce his faith. She was released in October 2010, according to Amnesty International.
Nadarkhani was sentenced to death for apostasy last September based on religious writings by Iranian clerics, including Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, despite the fact that there is no offense of "apostasy" in the nation's penal code, Amnesty International reports.
In June, the Supreme Court of Iran ruled that a lower court should re-examine procedural flaws in the case, giving local judges the power to decide whether to release, execute or retry Nadarkhani. The verdict, according to Amnesty International, includes a provision for the sentence to be overturned should Nadarkhani renounce his faith.

TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran raised the prospect on Tuesday of sending military ships close to the United States' Atlantic coast, in what would be a major escalation of tensions between the long-standing adversaries.
"Like the arrogant powers that are present near our marine borders, we will also have a powerful presence close to American marine borders," the head of the Navy, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said, according to the official IRNA news agency.
Speaking at a ceremony marking the 31st anniversary of the start of the 1980-1988 war with Iraq, Sayyari gave no details of when such a deployment could happen or the number or type of vessels to be used.
The declaration comes just weeks after Turkey said it would host a NATO early warning radar system which will help spot missile threats from outside Europe, including potentially from Iran. The decision has angered Tehran which had enjoyed close relations with Ankara.
And it comes a few months after Iran sent warships through the Suez canal, after the fall of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the first time the Islamic Republic had deployed navy vessels in the Mediterranean.

Department spokesman Victoria Nuland also called the announcement counterproductive to efforts to restart direct negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians. The criticism Tuesday was matched by the European Union's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton who called on Israel to reverse the decision.

Israel granted the go-ahead on Tuesday for construction of 1,100 new Jewish housing units in occupied east Jerusalem, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ruled out any freeze in settlement construction, raising already heightened tensions after last week's Palestinian move to seek U.N. membership. Israel's Interior Ministry said the homes would be built in Gilo, a sprawling Jewish enclave in southeast Jerusalem. It said construction could begin after a mandatory 60-day period for public comment, a process that spokesman Roi Lachmanovich called a formality. The announcement drew swift condemnation from the Palestinians, who claim east Jerusalem as their future capital. The European Union's foreign policy chief in Brussels, Catherine Ashton, also said that the decision "should be reversed."
The Palestinians have demanded that Israel halt all settlement construction in east Jerusalem and the adjacent West Bank — territories captured by Israel in the 1967 Mideast war — as a condition for resuming peace talks. Since capturing east Jerusalem, Israel has annexed the area and ringed it with about 10 Jewish enclaves which are meant to solidify its control. Gilo, which is close to the Palestinian city of Bethlehem, is among the largest, with about 50,000 residents. Israel's annexation of east Jerusalem has not been internationally recognized. Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian negotiator, said the Israeli decision amounted to "1,100 no's to the resumption of peace talks."
The Irish Times Sept. 28, 2011 said, "Mr Netanyahu said there was nothing new in the Gilo decision and he did not plan to interfere to block the construction. “We plan in Jerusalem. We build in Jerusalem. Period. The same way Israeli governments have been doing for years – since the end of the 1967 war.” EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton expressed “deep regret” that Israeli settlement plans were continuing. She said the expansion of settlements threatened “the viability of an agreed two-state solution” and “should be reversed”.

He says, they know the market is toast, they know the stock market is finished. He tells us they don't care what happens to the Euro and they are moving their money into safer places like the US dollar but it isn't going to work. When you hear what trader Alessio Rastani says and then you read Daniel 2:43, which tells us this last world empire will not hold together, you sense Jesus is showing us things that will soon take place within the European Union, which is the fourth kingdom God showed Daniel in verse 43.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — The nation's weak labor market was "a national crisis" that required attention from the White House and Congress, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said Wednesday. "We've had close to 10% unemployment now for a number of years, and of the people who are unemployed, about 45% have been unemployed for six months or more. This is unheard of," Bernanke said in a question-and-answer session following a speech in Cleveland. He called for policies "that could help them find work, train for work and retain their skills." Bernanke also urged policy makers to consider "strong housing policies to help the housing market recover." Better housing policies would "clearly be very useful," and would allow the low mortgage rates stemming from easy Fed policy to have more effect and help the economy recover"

The world's major economies are heading for a "massive jobs shortfall" by the end of next year if governments do not change their tack on policy, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) said in a study published on Monday"
In the report, prepared with the OECD for G20 labour ministers meeting in Paris on Monday, the ILO said the group of developing and developed nations had seen 20m jobs disappear since the financial crisis in 2008.
At current rates it would be impossible to recover them in the near term and there was a risk of the number doubling by the end of next year, it said.

Killer earthquakes on the rise September 25, 2011
The last decade has seen an intensification in earthquake activities. The 2004 Sumatra quake in Indonesia, which registered 9.3 on the Richter scale, has triggered stress in many areas. The Sikkim earthquake could be a manifestation of this stress. Earthquakes, some scientists believe, are on the rise. The earthquake in Fukushima in Japan had a magnitude of 8.9 and was the largest in the recorded history of Japan. The February 2010 Chile earthquake registered a similar magnitude as the Japan quake while the January 2010 quake in Haiti had a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale. Prof D.K. Paul, an earthquake engineer with IIT Roorkee, believes the pushing of the Indian tectonic plate under the Eurasian plate (at the rate of 5 cm per year) results in stresses which over a period of time, manifest as earthquakes.
“The continents of Eurasia and the Indian sub-continent meet in the north east and the Sikkim region is located close to the fault line. This means tremendous strain is building up ever day,” said Paul. Environmentalists are not willing to buy this explanation in its entirety. Global Disaster Watch believes the Sikkim quake may have been induced by the 35 hydel projects being built across the Teesta river. The central government’s dream is to transform the north-east into ‘India’s future powerhouse’ by building about 168 dams in the region.
A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the Northwest Territories Sunday night, the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed. The quake was recorded about 200 kilometres south of Norman Wells, N.W.T., at a depth of 2.9 kilometres. The USGS said the quake was recorded at 7 p.m. local time

One of the quartet nations seeking for peace and safety between Israel and the Arab world is the European Union, which is the Western leg of the old Roman Empire. Don't be surprised when you see the man who confirms this peace pact come from either the Western leg or the Eastern leg of the old Roman Empire. Right now it is the Western leg that is the most active in this peace process. In any case, these events tell us, Jesus will be coming back soon.
