  People in Israel are Preparing Show-Bread for Service in the Third Temple 

Called Lechem Hapanim in Hebrew (literally, bread of the faces), the ancient art of preparing the showbread for use in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem has not been practiced for close to 2000 years. Today, the Showbread Institute, established in 2018 and based in Israel’s Shomron (Samaria), exists to “to serve as an umbrella organization for the research, publication and educational activities… and to [reacquaint] the People of Israel with the Temple Service in preparation for the rebuilding of the Third Temple, speedily in our days,” the website explains. Why is any of this relevant now? Saidel explained that, “We are in the throes of Moshiach (messiah). We have to learn how they did things in the Temple to be ready [for the Third Temple].

U.S. Stands Alone on Israel Annexation Plan As China Backs Palestinians

China has echoed the rest of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in expressing support for the Palestinians and tacit condemnation of Israel’s plan to annex a large portion of the West Bank, alongside President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan. President Xi Jinping spoke with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday, according to China’s Xinhua news agency, expressing Beijing’s continued support for the demands of the Palestinian people as the world waits for Israel to begin its annexations. If the plan and annexation go ahead, they will leave a demilitarized, non-contiguous Palestinian state split up by Israeli land, checkpoints and strategic areas occupied by the military. Netanyahu wished to begin the process on July 1, but was hampered by a second wave of the COVID-19 coronavirus and Gantz’s insistence that the pandemic was addressed before annexation began. Talks were also still continuing with U.S. officials, who reportedly said they wanted both Netanyahu and Gantz to agree on a timeline before final American backing.

  Egyptian Military Convenes to Discuss Invading Libya in Potential Showdown with Turkey 

The Egyptian parliament will meet on Monday to discuss President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi’s decision to send ground troops into Libya reports Aawsat. The president, who is also the military’s chief of staff, still needs the approval of two-thirds of Cairo’s lawmakers as well as a recommendation from the national defense council before deploying military forces into combat missions on foreign soil. Sisi led a meeting on Sunday for the council to discuss the developments taking place in Libya as part of Egyptian efforts to “maintain the current frontlines” and prevent either side from breaching those red lines. The stated objective is to keep the peace between all Libyan parties involved. In June, Sisi categorized the cities of Sirte and Jufra as “red lines” that mustn’t be crossed. Any encroachment on these cities would compel Egypt to intervene in order to safeguard its national security, he added.

Israeli airstrikes hit Iranian posts in Damascus, says Syrian war monitor

The Syrian military said the country’s air defenses responded on Monday to Israeli air raids in south Damascus that caused material damage, and residents said loud explosions rocked the capital. A military official quoted in Syrian state media said the attack was carried out by Israeli jets that took off from the Golan Heights in northern Israel. The unnamed official said air defenses responded and downed most of the missiles. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors the country’s civil war, said the suspected Israeli strikes targeted government and Iranian militia posts.

A power plant in Iran’s central Isfahan province was rocked by an explosion on Sunday, making it the latest in a series of unexplained explosions and fires at Iranian facilities in recent weeks.An official at the Islamabad thermal power plant said the explosion was caused by faulty equipment, Middle East Eye reported. The cause of the explosion was not clear, though the managing director for Isfahan’s electrical company told Iran’s official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that the explosion was brought on by a “worn-out transformer.” The explosion does come amid a series of unexplained fires and explosions at key military and industrial facilities around Iran. The series of fires and explosions across Iran have raised allegations of a sabotage effort by Israel or the U.S. against Iran.

Just before midnight, the unrest began to swell as protesters were seen knocking and coming close to the courthouse building, which resulted in federal officers setting off smoke gas, according to The Oregonian. Some people started to tear off the plywood in front of the building around 12:20 a.m., which prompted police to throw devices that emitted smoke and an orange substance into the air.

Anti-Government Protests Attract Thousands Across Thailand

Thousands of protesters assembled near Bangkok’s Democracy Monument on Saturday, demanding “the government restore full-fledged democracy to the people.” The rally lasted “for hours until midnight” and marked the largest protest since Thailand’s civil unrest in 2014 which “precipitated Prayuth’s coup d’etat,” according to the report. As Thailand’s army chief in 2014, General Prayuth led a successful coup against the government, claiming “the military needed to restore order following a cycle of mass protests and violence.” Prayuth became prime minister and ushered in an era of junta-heavy government for Thailand that western nations have decried for its lack of democracy in recent years, Reuters detailed. In addition to the capital, Bangkok, anti-government protests have sprouted up in the cities of Chiang Mai and Ubon Ratchathani. The pro-democracy rallies “are continuing to spread, with thousands expected to gather at the University of Mahasarakham on Wednesday” for another demonstration, Coconuts Bangkok noted.

Major explosion at Stromboli volcano, Italy

A sudden, major explosion took place at Stromboli volcano, Italy at 03:00 UTC (05:00 LT) on July 19, 2020. The explosion was about 10 times stronger than the average explosion at the volcano. The products of the explosion were distributed over the entire crater terrace and onto the Sciara del Fuoco, INGV Etna Observatory reports. The first news article I am presenting today has to do with an Israeli Oracle. In the headline of the article it states “Delivers Big Message from God”.  When you read the headline to that report you will also see they stated the “Messiah is Here!”.  One of the major signs of the last days has to do with false prophets and false teachers.  Matthew 24:24 says the following. “24For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” 2 Timothy 3:4 “3For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

If you to to the link of that report it will bring you to a YouTube video which shows you what was supposed to be said from God. There are a few things I want to bring to your attention that differ from what God teaches us in the scriptures.  First of all the Oracle says the Moshiach is here already.  You may not know what a Moshiach is so let me explain. This is what the Jews believe. The Messianic Redemption will be ushered in by a person, a human leader, a descendant of Kings David and Solomon, who will reinstate the Davidic royal dynasty. According to tradition, Moshiach will be wiser than Solomon, and a prophet around the level of Moses.

First off the bible never teaches that Jesus Christ was on any level with Moses.

Moses was a great prophet, indeed, but he was not the greatest prophet. Moses foretold that God would raise up a prophet greater than himself:“But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled. … Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you. And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet shall be destroyed from the people.'[Deut 18:15] And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also proclaimed these days.” (Acts 3:18, 22-24)  Here, Moses refers to the greater prophet to come—Jesus. Moses was a great prophet, but Jesus would be the truer and greater prophet. Consider the following ways: 

The truth is the Jews did see their Messiah come and they rejected Him as that messiah that was foretold to come from the scriptures. Jesus Christ fulfilled all the prophecies concerning the Lord’s first coming to Earth and, He is going to finish the rest of the prophecies that teach about His second coming.

Keep in mind, if you listen to someone teach you claiming they had gotten a word from God, that message better not contradict what the scriptures teach us. In this message from the Oracle the following is stated. “So I ask, I beg the people of Israel, come home! Come home! Moshaich is here and he’s waiting but Hashem is not giving him the sign to be revealed.”  What the message of this Oracle is saying is contradicting the message of salvation which was given to us when Jesus Christ came the first time died on the cross for our sins and showed us He was God by raising himself from the dead just as Jesus stated He was going to do in John 2:19 when He said the following: “Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” .

My friends the revealing of the Jewish Messiah has already taken place and yes it was in the form of a man who was sinless. However, most Jews still are blind to the fact that Jesus Christ is the their savior.  Here is the bottom line. In the message from the Oracle we see some truth and then some false teachings.  One of the truths that is found in the message from the Oracle is Jews being called back to Israel from different parts of the world.  However, this is an old prophecy that was given to us by God way before He came to Earth in the form of Jesus Christ.  We did not need some Oracle to tell us the Jews should come home to Israel because God told us that was going to happen in the last days. Read the Lord’s prophecies on this subject. “

“‘The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their forefathers to possess,’ says the Lord” (Jeremiah 30:3).  “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.  I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’  Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made” (Isaiah 43:5-7). Fact is the Jews having been going back to Israel for years and just in the past few years we have witnessed record numbers of Jews returning to their Motherland. 

Those of you who read what the Oracle has said and think that a revealing of the true messiah will be unveiled shortly you will wait for a very very long time because Christ has already as I stated before been revealed to us as that Lamb of God.  In the report concerning the Oracles’s Big Message it said that there would be many tears shed which I agree with but the reason for the tears I disagree with and I will tell you why.  The Prophet Zechariah tells us that the Jews when they see Jesus coming back the second time they will cry because then they will know Jesus has always been their messiah that they rejected. Zech. 12:10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.”  Right now the Jews are blind in part to who their real messiah is but, in the near future they will have those blinders taken off and when they see the True Messiah with the marks made from hanging on the cross then the Jews will understand they made a huge mistake in rejecting the Good New message Jesus gave us. 

The last thing I want to cover is this statement from the Oracle. “This is the place to be, and the place to receive the Moshiach.”  Is this what Jesus Christ taught us? Not at all. The Lord’s Jesus teaching that anyone who calls on His name will be saved. You do not have to go to Israel to be saved.   If a message is full of half truths then that message did not come from God. 

‘Israel’s Oracle’ Delivers Big Message from God: “Messiah is Here!”

According to Rabbi Brody, the essence of Daniel’s message, that Jews urgently need to leave the diaspora and get to Israel, is hardly controversial. “Assuming Galit Dorit is the real thing and she’s faithfully quoting his words, I don’t think Daniel’s message is dramatic at all.” “We don’t posken (rule according to Jewish law) based on the autistics, [but] I’ve told plenty of families to make aliyah. If you don’t make aliyah right now, the door is closing,” he warned. “We’re already beginning to feel what is happening in the world. The world we live in today has become harsh. We live in a world that is now ruled by the most wicked people that ever lived, incarnations of the most wicked people of all of the generations that lived in the past.”

Drought Conditions Expected to Worsen
Drought conditions are already persisting in parts of Illinois and things are only anticipated to get worse as the National Weather Service predicts long periods of hot and dry weather throughout July and August. Meteorologist Chris Miller says he is monitoring the number of 90-degree days ahead along with any rainfall coming our way.

Proposed China-Iran deal is bad news for Israel
With Iran and China working on a multibillion-dollar 25-year economic and security deal, Israel has many reasons to be concerned and even alarmed. The proposed agreement, leaked to The New York Times, which reported on it on Saturday, would lead to a closer military relationship between Tehran and Beijing, including joint military exercises, research and weapons development and intelligence sharing. It would also increase Chinese investments in Iranian banking, telecommunications and transportation, such as airports and railways. CENTCOM chief: A war with Israel would not end well for Hezbollah
CENTCOM head Gen. Kenneth McKenzie said it would be a great mistake for Hezbollah to try to carry out operations against Israel. “I can’t see that having a good ending,” he said at a briefing during a major trip to the Middle East this week. McKenzie has visited Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar and Kuwait. The US general also acknowledged continuing tensions in Syria and with Iran across the region.

Turkey vows to ‘liberate Al-Aqsa’ after turning Hagia Sophia to mosque

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed to “liberate al-Aqsa mosque” from Israel after “resurrecting Hagia Sophia” as a mosque on Friday. The decision to change the status of the ancient Hagia Sophia church, which had been transformed into a mosque in 1453 and then into a museum in 1934, was made controversially last week. The resurrection of Hagia Sophia heralds the liberation of the al-Aqsa mosque, the Turkish Presidency website says. “The resurrection of Hagia Sophia is the footsteps of the will of Muslims across the world to come… the resurrection of Hagia Sophia is the reignition of the fire of hope of Muslims and all oppressed, wrong, downtrodden and exploited.”

Tel Aviv protests turn violent amid clashes with police

Some 80,000 protesters gathered in Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square on Saturday to voice their anger at the failed policies of Netanyahu and Finance Minister Israel Katz, who promised to help the nation’s economy during the COVID-19 crisis. Dozens of protesters blocked HaHasmonaim and Hamisgar-Yitzhak Sadeh roads and the exit to the Ayalon Highway. The intersection in front of the Azrieli towers was blocked by protesters leaving the protest in Rabin Square. The police stressed that while they “allow the freedom to protest, there is a difference between a legitimate protest with defined boundaries and a riot that throws off every rein and violates the public order while harming police officers, damaging property and harming the general public.” Videos circulated on Saturday night showed protesters throwing stones through the glass door of a Discount Bank branch on Ibn Gabirol Street. As economic protests in Tel Aviv came to an end on Saturday night, protesters began to block roads and clash with police throughout the city.

PA Arrests Palestinians for Endorsing Israel’s Annexation

The Palestinian Authority has arrested several Palestinians who said they were in favor of Israel’s plan to apply its laws to parts of the West Bank, the AFP news wire reported Tuesday. The Breitbart report originally contained identifying details including names and locations at the express permission of those interviewed who declared that they were not afraid to speak their mind. However, after Breitbart News learned that some of those interviewed by Yechezkeli  had been arrested by the Palestinian police, it chose to redact identifying details. Ramallah denied arresting anyone, the report said, but added corroborations from Palestinian sources, including one who said his relative had been held for several weeks by Palestinian police and was due to face a court soon after telling Yechezkeli that despite “fear” of being arrested, he was hopeful “that Israel will give us citizenship.”

 Israeli watchdog reveals 28 Hezbollah missile sites in Beirut civil centers

Lebanese hold raucous rally outside US Embassy in Beirut

At least 28 missile sites connected to Lebanon’s Hezbollah terrorist organization have been located in civilian areas across Beirut, The Jerusalem Post reported on Monday, citing a report from the Alma Research and Education Center. The report reveals that the sites are used for the production, storage, and launches of medium-range surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, such as the Iranian Fateh-110 and its Syrian equivalent, the M600. “The world must understand and know that these launch sites are located in the very heart of residential and urban areas,” the head of the research department at the Alma Center, Tal Beeri, told JPost. “Hezbollah uses the population of Beirut as human shields, and does not hesitate to place its launch sites near public buildings, educational establishments, factories, and more.” Hezbollah is said to have around 600 Fateh-110 and M600 missiles with a range of up to 300 km (185 miles), the report said, adding that, “the sites in question are already available and operational.”

Assad Sends Pantsir Air Defense Systems To Counter Turkey In Libya

Libya’s eastern-based parliament has asked Egypt to directly intervene in the country’s civil war to counter Turkish support for the internationally recognized Government of National Accord (GNA). In a statement issued late on Monday, the House of Representatives based in the eastern port of Tobruk said Egyptian backing was needed to stave off “a Turkish invasion and occupation,” Reuters reports. The country’s battle lines solidified earlier this month near the city of Sirte, after the GNA, based in the capital Tripoli, and Turkey drove the eastern-based Libyan National Army (LNA) back from a yearlong assault on Tripoli. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has already warned the army might enter Libya if the GNA and its Turkish allies renew an assault on Sirte. The central coastal city is seen as the gateway to Libya’s main oil export terminals.

Natanz retaliation test run: Iran practices with missiles, drones in Yemen

Recent weeks have seen them use missiles and drones in combination. This should be of concern to the region. Even though Iranian shipments to Yemen have been intercepted three times by the US Navy, the Houthis have already showcased impressive missiles and drones. The wider concern is that if Iran seeks to strike at the US, Saudi Arabia, Israel or others, it may use the experience of the Houthis to inform its allies in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. Recent research by the ALMA Research and Education Center revealed 28 missile sites in Lebanon. Iran has said it will retaliate if it concludes that a recent incident at its Natanz facility was done by a foreign country. The Houthi use of new missile and drone combinations may be what Iran is analyzing for retaliation. Azerbaijan general among troops killed in Armenia border clash

Azerbaijan says one of its generals and five other officers have been killed in a third day of fighting with Armenian forces on the countries’ border. An Azeri private also died, bringing the Azeri death toll so far to 11. Armenia says two Armenian officers were killed. Both countries were part of the Soviet Union until its collapse in the 1990s. Both sides accuse each other of shelling civilian areas on the border. Azerbaijan’s defence ministry said a 76-year-old man was killed in the village of Agdam, by Armenian shelling. Earlier the ministry said four Azeri troops had been killed in clashes on Sunday and Monday, involving tanks and artillery. Meanwhile, Armenia accused Azerbaijan of shelling the town of Berd. Azerbaijan’s military said it had destroyed an Armenian fortification and artillery and had inflicted casualties on “hundreds” of Armenian troops. Armenia denied suffering any casualties on that scale, but reported several wounded besides the two officers killed.

Open Society Foundations Announce $220 Million for Building Power in Black Communities 

The Open Society Foundations, the philanthropic group founded by the business magnate George Soros, announced on Monday that it was investing $220 million in efforts to achieve racial equality in America, a huge financial undertaking that will support several Black-led racial justice groups for years to come. Of the $220 million, the foundation will invest $150 million in five-year grants for selected groups, including progressive and emerging organizations like the Black Voters Matter Fund and Repairers of the Breach, a group founded by the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II of the Poor People’s Campaign. Due to a coin shortage at the Federal Reserve, Kroger will no longer return coin change to customers. Instead, the remainders from cash transactions can either be donated to charity or applied to the customers’ loyalty cards to be used on the next purchase. Kroger officials said, “at Kroger, we are implementing several creative solutions to minimize the impact to our customers…We know this is an inconvenience for our customers and we appreciate their patience. The Bank of England is reviewing whether it should create a central bank-backed digital currency, according to governor Andrew Bailey. “We are looking at the question of, should we create a Bank of England digital currency,” Bailey said Monday in a webinar event with students. “We’ll go on looking at it, as it does have huge implications on the nature of payments and society.” The BOE is part of a group of major central banks teaming up to assess potentially developing their own digital currencies, acknowledging their role is being challenged by new technologies and private sector initiatives such as Facebook Inc.’s Libra. It could be some time before the U.K. central bank is able to fully devote its attention to such a development, however. “The digital currency issue will be a very big issue,” Bailey said. “I hope it is, because that means Covid will be behind us.”

 Attack at church in South Africa leaves 5 dead

At least five people are dead and more than 40 people arrested in South Africa Saturday following an attack at a church in Zuurbekom, a town in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. The South African Police Service and National Defense Force responded Saturday to reports of a shooting and an alleged hostage situation at the International Pentecostal Holiness Church at 3 a.m. local time. Authorities do not believe a terrorist group is responsible for the attack, but “may have been motivated by a feud between conflicted parties of the church.” A group of armed people, police said, came to the church and allegedly attacked people who were inside, indicating that they were coming to take over the premises. Responding authorities said they also rescued multiple men, women and children, who were said to be living in the compound and being allegedly held hostage. Police said they have arrested over 40 suspects, including six people who have been taken to hospital.

Florida health officials left COVID-19 trackers slackjawed on Sunday when it reported more than 15k new infections in just 24 hours on Sunday (the data were gleaned from the prior day). But as hospitalizations surge, questions have grown about whether the state is still trying to ‘juke’ its data, something that a now infamous whistleblower alleged before she was fired (she has since started her own COVID-19 data portal relying on public info). Journalists scouring the reams of daily data for discrepancies have apparently happened upon bombshell they had been hoping for: Orlando Health has just confirmed that some of the data it shared over the weekend were wrong, after journalists reported more than 50 labs showing 100% positivity rate, or roughly around there. One local Fox affiliate looked into the numbers and contacted a few of the labs to confirm that their internal data matched the public data released by the state. As it turned out, some of these discrepancies were pretty extreme: Orlando Health, one of the organizations contacted by Fox, confirmed that it’s positivity rate was actually 9.8%, not the 98% that had been reported to the state.

A Never-Before-Seen Bacteria Is Killing Tens of Thousands of Fish in Victorville, California

For those of you who have been coming to my web site over the years know that I keep my prophecy book up-dated each year. On page 42 of my 2009 copy of my book I wrote the following: “People ask me, “Why isn’t the U.S. mentioned in the Bible?”  The prophet Daniel told us it would be the reborn modern day Roman Empire that would rule the world in the last days.  Since America is not mentioned, it stands to reason something must have happened to this superpower in the end times to explain her exclusion.  I believe we are seeing why the U.S. is not mentioned as a strong end time superpower.  Watch with me as you see what happens to America’s economy.  Don’t be surprise when you see the dollar crash and the U.S. cast into a depression.”  

What I found amazing was how fast President Trump brought back the U.S. economy. In less than three years America’s economic engine was on turbo. Then out of no where came the Covid19 virus and in a matter of four months that virus wrecked just about all progress President Trump had made. Trump was forced to give out trillions to Americans who had lost their jobs as a result of businesses closing down over the virus. Adding to the presidents burdens, the Democrats have been working since the day President Trump was elected  to get rid of the man who was elected by the people.  Attempt after attempt the left, (liberals) have come up with different schemes in hope that the newest scheme would bring Trumps down fall.  However, every one of those schemes have failed and they are still trying to find something that will derail the president. The latest attempt by the Dem’s is to try and force the president to hand over his tax returns in the hope that they can find something, anything they could use to make people turn away from his leadership.   

Here is the bottom line, America in just four months has begun to take that fall that just may be the one that will cause the collapse of the greatest power in the world.  America is standing in the way of Satan. Satan knows he has to take down the government of the United States to prepare the way of his Antichrist and the New World Order.  As long as there are people on the right, (conservatives) who go to church, who believe in Jesus, who believe in the law of the land, who believe in freedom, they are a hindrance and must be removed.  So who does Satan use to do his work?  For the most part they are the people who reject the bible, they reject Christ and, they reject anyone who stands up for what the word of God teaches.  This is one of the reasons why recently all the Black Lives Matters riots and huge gathering were not looked down upon yet the liberals wanted all the churches to shut down and even orders given out by many of the liberal leaders to stop people in church from singing.  They want to keep the churches closed.  The idea is if they can weaken the church and give more power to the lawless left the faster they can get rid of Trump and what he stands for.  So what should be expect in the coming months? If the left continues its present course and keeps the U.S. businesses closed say goodbye to American way of life and say goodbye to the way Christian churches work in the near future.  Fact is, Satan is coming and by the looks of it he can not be very far off as the last day signs are showing this last stand has begun. 

The good news is this. Satan has lost the war. Jesus knows it, anyone who has studied the bible knows it and, for sure all the people who have Christ as their savior knows it.  Satan understands his time is limited before Christ gets rid of him and, that is why we are witnessing such an attack on the Right and President Trump.  There is so much hatred by the left toward President Trump if he does get reelected they will lose their minds! In November of 2020, we will see just how far their minds will be blown away.  We are in the midst of the spiritual warfare Paul warned us about so get ready for the ride of your life!

Frank11Jesus warned a special generation would in the last days face many end time signs. We know for sure who the special generation is based on other prophecies found in the bible. That last generation would see the rebirth of the nation Israel. When did that happen? It happened on May 14, 1949! That last generation would be known as the generation who would increase in knowledge and travel back and forth. Our generation has also fulfilled that prophecies as no other generation has gained more knowledge in a short period of time than ours.  Jesus in the Revelation told us in the last days there would be an army from the East that would number 200 million. Guess what? Is it a coincidence that China who is from the East has an army of 200 million?  No coincidence at all! That last generation was also supposed to witness the rebirth of the old Roman Empire did that happen?  Of course it did. All you have to do is take a look at the European Union to see the EU is made up of the same nations that were in the first Roman Empire. 

Let me not forget the generation who were to see these next prophecies take place. “The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their forefathers to possess,’ says the Lord” (Jeremiah 30:3).  “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.  I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’  Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made” (Isaiah 43:5-7).

Of course there is no other generation who as Jesus warned in Matthew chapter 24, there would be a generation who would see all these last days signs take place all at the same time and we have fulfilled that prophecy as well. In Matthew chapter 24 the Lord revealed the last generation would be just like the people of Noah time and, that the same thing that happened to Noah’s generation would again take place again, God would wipe out the unrighteous! Keep in mind if you know the bible we are told that our generation will not be wiped out by a flood but by a host of events the Lord will toss at the people at the time of the end. These events I refer to are all found in the book of REVELATION.  In Matthew 24:12 Christ also told us  12 “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” and anyone who has been watching the news knows that to be the case. 

The people who know Jesus have been watching the news and becoming very familiar with just how close we are to witnessing the second coming of Jesus Christ. You see the news is the key to understanding what Jesus told us. Those who know the word of God know the last day signs. But it goes much further than that.  Keeping a watch for the last days signs is a command from Christ as seen in Luke 21:36. “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. In Matthew 24:42-44 you read the following: ““Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.”  It is sad to say but I believe there are far to many people who are not ready if the Lord were to come back today and that includes people who call themselves Christians. 

Paul wrote: “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed” Romans 13:11. 

In other words, the closer we draw to the second coming of Christ, the more urgent it is that we awake out of spiritual sleep! Indeed, we have entered the fearful end-time years that are the grand climax of human civilization. If ever there was a time to pay attention and get prepared, it is now!   The warning from Jesus that those last days perilous time would befall that special generation has indeed begun and will get much worse the closer we get to the Lord’s return. Keep in mind, a day is coming while these perilous times are taking place Christ is going to come out blow His trumpet and remove the body of Christ who have been watching for His second coming.  That is why it is so important to stand guard, stay awake, and be ready for the Lord’s calling. Those evil days Jesus warned us about have begun and evidence of this can be seen in the news everyday now.   Satan is very active in pushing his evil as he knows his time is drawing close. You can see the effects of his evil via people and their actions toward others. If you don’t know Christ as your savior yet you are against Him and that my friends at this point in time during these last days is a bad place to be!  Please give Jesus a chance to save you from what is to befall the world.  We knew from His word He will not force you to love Him and come to Him but not loving Christ put you in Satan’s court. Is that where you really want to be?

An 18-page document written up by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs entitled the ‘Iran-China 25-year Comprehensive Partnership Document’ was leaked to IranWire last week. Frank11 While the world watches the news concerning the Covid19 cases rise much of the other important news that people should know about is not reported in the mainstream media. Because I am going to connect Jesus last days warnings with the news you need to know what Christ warned us about. Famines was on the Lord’s list of things He wanted us to keep our eyes on. Ask yourself this question. In a age of technology and when people have the most knowledge for just about everything these days why is it that millions upon millions of people around the world a facing starvation?   If is a fact that somethings can not be controlled no matter how smart people are. It appears famines is one of these things.  There are many factors in the year 2020, that have come together to bring the world to the brink of a Biblical famine. For example, massive locust swarms in my Middle East and African  nations that are  devastating crops. In many cases the nations where these huge locusts are eating up the food are the same nations who were already dealing with food insecurities. Now, add the other factors such as the weird change in the weather which has brought intense heat and droughts, plus the conflicts that keep people from attending food production. The latest issue that is adding to the food insecurities is the Covid19 virus that has limited the people working in the fields.  As for the weird weather that have made perfect condition for the breeding of massive locust swarms the last days birth pains just in the last three years have gotten worse. See below.

● FEBRUARY-JUNE: widespread spring breeding in Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Iran caused large numbers of swarms to form. Control operations were less successful in Iran and Yemen.
● JUNE-DECEMBER: swarms invade the Indo-Pakistan border from Iran and up to three generations occur due to longer than normal monsoon, giving rise to large numbers of swarms; In Yemen, swarms form and move to N Somalia and Ethiopia where breeding occurs and more swarms form.
● OCTOBER-DECEMBER: Swarms move from Ethiopia and N Somalia to Eritrea, Djibouti, E Ethiopia, the Ogaden, C and S Somalia to reach NE Kenya; hopper bands and swarms form along parts of the Red Sea coastal plains in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Eritrea and Sudan.

2020
● JANUARY: Swarms continue to invade, spread, mature and lay eggs in Ethiopia and Kenya. Hatching occurs in NE Somalia. Other swarms move into interior of Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
● FEBRUARY: Swarms continue in Kenya, a few reach Uganda and South Sudan, groups reach Tanzania. Widespread hatching and bands in Kenya. Other swarms reach both sides of Persian Gulf.
● MARCH: widespread hatching causes a new generation of swarms to form in Ethiopia and Kenya. A few swarms invade Uganda and South Sudan. Widespread swarm laying and hatching in southern Iran.

 Rising to respond to famines of “Biblical proportions”

In recent weeks, we’ve become increasingly concerned after seeing multiple reports about COVID-19’s potential to exacerbate already existing food insecurity. Countries around the world are facing the possibility of famines of “biblical proportions.” The number of people living in a food crisis, 135 million, is the highest it has been since the inception of the World Food Programme’s Global Report on Food Crises in 2017. Crisis in this context means that acute malnutrition rates are higher than usual, or that people are able to feed themselves but only at the expense of their livelihood or to the detriment of their ability to cope with the crisis.

That means 135 million people on earth are marching towards the brink of starvation. But now the World Food Programme analysis shows that, due to the Coronavirus, an additional 130 million people could be pushed to the brink of starvation by the end of 2020. In that chapter the Lord mentions Turkey as one the many nations coming against Israel from the northern quarters. Ezekiel 38:6 says the following:6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.” 

So who is Togarmah? Togarmah is another country aligned with the Islamic nations. He was a son of Gomer, son of Japheth (Genesis 10:1-3), known in Assyrian records as Tilgarimmu, a city state in Eastern Anatolia (Asia Minor, modern Turkey), more specifically “the south-eastern part of Turkey near the Syrian border.” This identification is generally acknowledged by all. Once again, we have a region in present-day Turkey. 

Years ago when Turkey was friends with Israel I warned that something would happen in the future that would break off good relations between Israel and Turkey.  That break off between Israel and Turkey has already taken place and once of the reasons for the break down is ownership of East Jerusalem where the Dome of the rock sits on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem. Today in the news we read that Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is warning he will retake the Al-Aqsa which sits on the Dome of the Rock in East Jerusalem.  First of all, a warning like this from Turkey’s leader should come as now surprise to anyone who has read the war prophecy in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. In order to liberate the Al-Aqsa Turkey would have to invade Jerusalem!  Let us keep in mind that there is also another prophecy found in Zechariah chapter 12 that tells us in the last days Jerusalem would become a burdensome stone for all the nations. I quote Zechariah 12:3 “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”  You can trust God that the words coming out of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan mouth concerning taking the Al-Aqsa is no coincidence. What we are seeing is the prelude the the fulfillment of the Ezekiel 38.

Sixty different rabbis renewed their call on Thursday for Jews to make pilgrimage to the Temple Mount after immersing in the mikveh (ritual bath) reports INN. This day marks the anniversary of the walls of Jerusalem being breached by the Romans three weeks before the destruction of the Second Temple. Iran To Help Syria With Air Defense To Repel US, Israeli Attacks

Iran will help to strengthen Syrian air defense capabilities as part of a wider military security agreement between the two countries, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri said on July 8. The statement was made after the signing of a new military cooperation agreement in Damascus. The agreement provides for the expansion of military and security cooperation and the continuation of coordination between the Armed Forces of the two countries. Major General Baqeri said that the signed deal “increases our will to work together in the face of US pressure.” “If the American administrations had been able to subjugate Syria, Iran and the axis of resistance, they would not have hesitated for a moment,” he said. The major general emphasized that Israel is a “powerful partner” of the US in the war against Syria, claiming that terrorist groups constituted part of the Israeli aggression. In their turn, the United States and Israel insist that Iran and Hezbollah are responsible for the destabilization of Syria and prepare what they call ‘terrorist attacks’ against the US and Israel. In the framework of this approach, Israel, with direct and indirect help from the US, regularly conducts strikes on various supposedly ‘Iranian targets’ across Syria. Often these strikes concur with large-scale attacks of al-Qaeda-linked groups and ISIS on positions of the Syrian Army and its allies. One of the main points of Israeli concern is the growing military infrastructure of pro-Iranian forces near al-Bukamal, on the Syrian-Iraqi border.     Greek opposition & unions to hold nationwide rallies against new law restricting protests

Demonstrations are being planned in Athens and around 40 other Greek cities and towns to oppose plans by the center-right government to restrict public protests, AP reports. Many of the rallies planned for Thursday have been backed by the Greek Communist Party. Labor unions and Greece’s left-wing main opposition party have also organized rallies. PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ year-old conservative government says it is determined to stop small protest gatherings from disrupting traffic and commercial activity. “The right to hold peaceful gatherings must be protected… but it must be done in a way that will not interrupt the activity of an entire city,” Mitsotakis told parliament. Critics argue that plans to prosecute protesters attending unsanctioned rallies and to hold protest organizers responsible for damage caused if rallies turn violent are “legally troublesome.” The government said clarifications had been added to the bill to address those concerns.

China says it will hit back against new U.S. sanctions over Uighur rights

The USS Nimitz and USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier strike groups recently demonstrated what the Navy called “unmatched sea power” while conducting rare dual-carrier operations in the South China Sea, as military muscle flexing continues on both sides of growing discord in the region. “At a time when relations between China and the U.S. are further deteriorating over a series of topics including trade, the COVID-19 pandemic, Taiwan and Hong Kong, the U.S. has deployed two aircraft carriers and other warships to the South China Sea for its largest-scale exercises in the region in years, which also coincided with Chinese military drills taking place in the same area and time frame,” Global Times wrote Sunday. The two U.S. aircraft carrier battle groups “are nothing more than paper tigers on China’s doorsteps,” as the region “is fully within the grasp” of the People’s Liberation Army with “specially made weapons that can destroy (an) aircraft carrier,” the publication said. To that threat, the U.S. Chief of Naval Information tweeted, “And yet, there they are. Two @USNavy aircraft carriers operating in the international waters of the South China Sea. #USSNimitz &#USSRonaldReagan are not intimidated. #AtOurDiscretion.” The defense leaders of the U.S., Japan and Australia on Tuesday expressed “serious concern” over recent actions by China in the South China Sea.

High Court Rules Christian Adoption Charity Must Allow Same-Sex Carers

A Christian adoption agency must allow same-sex couples to foster and adopt children, a UK judge has ruled. Cornerstone (North East) Adoption and Fostering Service, which only places children with married, evangelical Christians, was told it “cannot lawfully refuse” to allow gay men and lesbian partners to sign up as carers. Mr Justice Julian Knowles made the ruling on Tuesday, following a legal challenge against schools regulator Ofsted after the public body slammed the Sunderland-based agency’s policies as discriminatory. The High Court claimed that Cornerstone had breached the 2010 Equality Act by requiring prospective carers to “refrain from homosexual conduct”. The agency was inspected by Ofsted last year and its fostering work was subsequently downgraded from “good” to “requires improvement”, the High Court in Leeds heard in May. The court was told that this was because its selection process for foster carers was “not inclusive and it does not comply with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010”. But Cornerstone claimed Ofsted had engaged in “regulatory overreach” and argued that the watchdog is “not a champion for equality, diversity and the protection of human rights”.

  Abbas Furious as PA Banks Refuse to Pay Terrorist Salaries

Ignoring a directive from the PA to all banks in the PA areas that they must accept money for payment of salaries to the accounts of terrorists and families of killed terrorists, at least four banks have refused to follow the PA’s dictates. This was exposed by PA Director of the Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs, Qadri Abu Bakr yesterday. All the banks are refusing to allow these groups to use their ATM cards. The banks responded to PMW by writing to PA Minister of Finance, Shukri Bishara, on May 7, 2020, saying that considering the “risks to which the banks will be exposed as a result of the presence of these accounts [of prisoners, released prisoners, and families of Martyrs and prisoners]… All of the banks hereby ask Your Honor to stop transferring any sums into these accounts. The banks will transfer the balances in these accounts to the Ministry of Finance’s account.” While the PA has decided to try and circumvent the anti-terror legislation by creating a new bank that will serve the imprisoned and released terrorists and the families of the dead terrorists (so-called “Martyrs”), that bank has not yet been established.

Canadian PM Candidate Pledges to Move Embassy to Jerusalem

Canadian lawmaker and prime ministerial candidate Erin O’Toole on Wednesday vowed to move his country’s embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem if he were elected. “Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish people, and the modern presence there just cements this. The Knesset, the Supreme Court and Foreign Ministry are all in west Jerusalem,” O’Toole, a member of Canada’s Conservative Party, said in a video posted on Facebook. “I also believe that we need more presence on the ground there, and I want us to explore more exchanges and collaborations with Israel to partner, much like we do with our other closest allies. “We support a two-state solution, but that does not prevent us from doing more with our friend and ally, Israel. As prime minister, I will follow through on our policy and move our embassy.”

4 countries warn Israel against annexing Palestinian territories

Germany, France, Egypt and Jordan on Tuesday said Israel should refrain from annexing parts of the Palestinian territories, warning that doing so could harm bilateral relations. “We are unanimous in our view that any annexation of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967 would be contrary to international law and would jeopardize the foundations of the peace process,” the four countries’ foreign ministers said in a statement issued by the German foreign ministry after a videoconference. “We also agree that such a move would have serious consequences for the security and stability of the region and would constitute a major obstacle to efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace,” the ministers continued, warning that it could potentially “have consequences for relations with Israel.” “Israel is prepared to conduct negotiations on the basis of President Trump’s peace plan which is both creative and realistic and will not return to the failed formulas of the past,” the Israeli government said in a statement.

   Explosion near Iran’s capital kills two, damages factory

China Inks Military Deal With Iran Under Secretive 25-Year Plan

At least two people were killed and three others injured in a large explosion at the Sepahan Boresh factory in the city of Baqershahr near Tehran on Monday night, according to Iranian and foreign reports. The explosion was caused by “negligence in filling oxygen tanks,” the Kahrizak district governor told Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty on Tuesday. The walls of the Saipa Press Company, located next to the factory, were damaged by the explosion as well. The IntelliTimes intelligence blog reported that the Sepahan Boresh factory belongs to the Iranian automotive manufacturer SAIPA. It cooperates with the Iranian Ministry of Defense; the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps is involved in the company as well. This is the third explosion reported in the Tehran region in the past two weeks and the most recent in a series of explosions and fires reported in industrial areas and infrastructure throughout Iran.

   Violence in Serbia Over Plan to Reimpose Virus Curfew

Thousands of protesters clashed with police in Serbia’s capital after the president said he’d reinstate one of Europe’s strictest lockdown regimes to confront a spike in new cases of Covid-19 in the city. Riot police used tear gas to repel rock-throwing, mostly right-wing demonstrators who briefly broke into the parliament building in central Belgrade in the biggest outbreak of violence against President Aleksandar Vucic since he came to power in 2014. Seven protesters and 13 police were injured, according to police. The crowd of about 5,000 smashed several shop windows and set five police cars on fire, while smaller groups rallied peacefully in the biggest northern city of Novi Sad and in the central city of Kragujevac.

Pope Francis Dangerous Call For Interfaith Prayer, Each To His Own God

Can you imagine an Apostle Paul who, at the Areopagus in Athens (Acts 17), invites his listeners (followers of various philosophical schools and ancient cults) to unite in prayer, each to his own god/ideal as a sign of fraternity? Can you imagine an Apostle Peter who, in writing to Christians at the four corners of the Roman Empire (1 Peter 1:1), recommends that they raise petitions together with the faithful of the Eastern, Greek and Roman religions, to invoke the end of a pandemic? For those who have a basic grasp of the biblical faith, this is pretty absurd. Not for Rome, though. Indeed, the Roman Catholic Church organized a “Day of Prayer and Fasting addressed to believers of all religions” under the auspices of the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity to pray together. Catholics, Muslims and people of other religions or of no religion were all encouraged to pray to her/his own god or personal ideal for the pandemic to cease.

  Multiple rockets fired from Gaza

IDF strikes Hamas targets following Gaza rocket fire

The Israeli military on Sunday said three rockets were fired by Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip toward southern Israel. The barrage set off air-raid sirens in southern Israel. Israel’s Channel 12 TV said two rockets landed in open areas, causing no damage or injuries.A third projectile was intercepted by Israeli air defenses. There was no immediate Israeli reaction, although the military usually responds to rocket fire with airstrikes on Hamas terror targets in Gaza. Tensions have also been rising as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to extend Israeli sovereignty over Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

SYRIA PREPARES FOR MILITARY CONFRONTATION WITH TURKEY IN NORTHEAST

The Syrian Army and the National Defense Forces have put their forces on high alert in response to the new round of aggressive actions by the Turkish Army and its proxies in northeastern Syria. Several convoys of government forces, including several T-62M battle tanks and a number of trucks equipped with heavy machine guns, deployed to the countryside of Ayn Issa after intense Turkish artillery strikes on positions of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and the army near al-Nuyhat in northern al-Hasakah and Hushanah in northern Raqqah. Another group of government troops deployed near the town of Tell Tamr. According to local sources, the recent Turkish strikes led to no casualties among civilians or military personnel. Nonetheless, regular Turkish attacks on these areas in fact turned a large part of the territory located relatively close to the Turkish-occupied area into a no man’s land. Syrian state media also reported that Turkey set up a new training camp for its proxies northwest of Tell Tamr.

Iraq sets up border posts to try to prevent Turkish advance

 Air defense systems responded to a rocket attack on the US Embassy in Baghdad on Saturday night, according to Al-Arabiya. The eastern entrance of the “Green Zone” in Baghdad where the embassy is located was reportedly closed after the attack. The rocket reportedly fell near a number of protesters near the suspension bridge in the Green Zone. The rocket attack on Saturday took place after a number of rocket attacks near the US Embassy in Baghdad and other US military sites in recent weeks. Meanwhile, Iraqi troops were enforcing positions along the border with Turkey, officials said Friday, to prevent Turkish forces from advancing deeper into Iraqi territory after two weeks of airstrikes as Ankara continues to target Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq. Security officials said Ankara has established at least a dozen posts inside Iraqi territory as part of a military campaign to rout members of the Kurdistan Worker’s Party, or PKK, who Turkey says have safe havens in northern Iraq. The airborne-and-land campaign, dubbed “Operation Claw-Tiger,” began June 17 when Turkey airlifted troops into northern Iraq.

   Iran Reveals Accident at Nuclear Site Caused ‘Significant’ Damage

The incident happened on Thursday at a warehouse under construction at the Natanz complex in central Iran, but caused no casualties or radioactive pollution, according to the Islamic republic’s nuclear body. Security officials called it an accident and said they had determined the cause, without providing any further explanation. “There were no victims… but the damage is significant on a financial level,” Iranian Atomic Energy Organisation spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said in an interview published Sunday by state news agency IRNA. Iran restarted enriching uranium at Natanz last September, despite having agreed under the accord to put such activities there on hold. Tehran has always denied its nuclear programme has any military dimension.

Libya gov’t vows response after base hit by ‘foreign air force’

Libya’s UN-recognized government on Sunday condemned overnight air raids against a recently recaptured airbase in the west of the country saying the attack was carried out by a “foreign air force”. Fighters loyal to the Government of National Accord (GNA) seized back the al-Watiya airbase, 140km (90 miles) southwest of the capital Tripoli, from troops aligned with renegade military commander Khalifa Haftar in May.”The raids last night against Al-Watiya base were carried out by a … foreign air force in support of the war criminal [Haftar] in a miserable and desperate attempt to achieve a morale boosting victory,” GNA Deputy Defence Minister Salah al-Namrush said in a statement. Turkey’s state news agency Anadolu, quoting an unnamed GNA military official, said the raid against al-Watiya was carried out by “unidentified planes” and there were no casualties.

  Baltimore protesters toppled a Christopher Columbus statue and threw it in a harbor

While much of the country celebrated Independence Day Saturday, protesters in Baltimore toppled a statue of Christopher Columbus and threw it into the Inner Harbor, CNN affiliate WBAL reported. The statue has stood by Little Italy for more than 30 years and is the latest to come down in recent weeks amid protests. Both crowds of demonstrators and local orders have removed other tributes to Columbus, Confederate leaders and other controversial figures representing racist parts of America’s history. On Wednesday, the mayor of Richmond, Virginia, invoked his emergency powers to remove multiple Confederate monuments throughout the city, including a statue honoring Confederate Gen. Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson. Last month, a judge ordered the removal of a Confederate monument in an Atlanta suburb. In other parts of the country, controversial symbols were toppled by protesters, including a group in Portland, Oregon, who pulled down a statue of George Washington last month and set its head on fire.    Goldman Sachs cuts US GDP estimate, now sees economy shrinking 4.6% in 2020

Revived state restrictions and continued stay-at-home activity will drag on the US economy more than previously expected, Goldman Sachs economists said Saturday. The bank sees gross domestic product growing 25% in the third quarter, down from its previous expectation of a 33% increase. 67 Shot, 13 Fatally, Over Fourth of July Weekend In Chicago

Armed Peaceful Protesters in Atlanta Kill Eight Year Old Girl

At least 67 people were shot, including 13 fatally, over the Independence Day weekend in Chicago, according to authorities.  Nine of the weekend’s victims were minors, and two children died, officials told Fox32. That includes 14-year-old boy who was among four people who were killed in the South Side neighborhood Englewood on Saturday evening. The victims were at a large gathering on the street at around 11:35 p.m. on South Carpenter Street. Four males then approached the group and began shooting, police said, adding that the 14-year-old boy was shot in the back before he was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The three other males, who were not identified, were pronounced dead at the scene and at the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.

While you can still attend in-person church services in California, you can’t sing. The state, to curb a rapidly worsening pandemic, has temporarily banned singing and chanting in places of worship. “Practices and performances present an increased likelihood for transmission of COVID-19 through contaminated exhaled droplets and should occur through alternative methods like internet streaming,” the state’s Department of Public Health announced in an order Wednesday. Singing at services has proven to be one way to spread a virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency studied how coronavirus spread from one member to 87% of the singers at a Washington choir practice and said in a report: “The act of singing, itself, might have contributed to transmission through emission of aerosols, which is affected by loudness of vocalization.”

COVID-19 is close to losing its epidemic status in the U.S., according to the CDC

The percentage of coronavirus deaths in the country has been declining for ten straight weeks. Coronavirus deaths in the country have nearly reached a level where the virus will cease to qualify as an epidemic under Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rules, the federal agency reported on Friday. The CDC qualifies a disease outbreak as an “epidemic” if the number of deaths attributable to the disease exceeds a certain percentage of total deaths per week. The latest data show that the percentage of deaths in the country attributable to those factors had as of the last week in June reached its lowest point since the end of last year, becoming “equal to the [current] epidemic threshold of 5.9%,” the CDC said. Though infections are significantly up in some places, deaths throughout the country have remained flat, due likely to several factors including a younger cohort of infections as well as improved treatment methods.

Bunny Ebola’ killing thousands of pet rabbits in Southwestern U.S.

A deadly virus is killing thousands of domestic rabbits throughout the Southwestern United States. The highly contagious illness, rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV2), which affects rabbits, hares, and pikas, has been dubbed “bunny Ebola” by some, Dr. Amanda Jones, a veterinarian in Texas, told The Cut earlier this week. Though the quick-moving virus is “not related in any way, shape, or form” to Ebola, the ways in which it damages the body — including system-wide inflammation and in many cases, hemorrhaging — appear similar. In addition to destroying liver cells and causing hepatitis, the virus leads to lesions on organs like the heart or lungs which result in internal bleeding. The USDA notes that between 50 and 70% of animals who get RHDV2 will die. About 1,100 rabbits succumbed to the disease between March and June of this year.
