   What makes my prophecy site different from the rest? If you visit other prophecy sites you will find news headlines with current events from around the world. The problem with these sites is most of them do not take the time to actually link bible prophecy scripture with the events they posted to their site. If you are a non-believer or, young in the Lord Jesus and hit one of these sites how are you going to understand the significance of what the news you are reading about? How are you going to be able to make the connection between what Jesus has warned us for these last days if you don’t know what He said?  That will never happen at my site.  When you come to my site you will first see what Christ has warned us and where it is found in the Bible.  For example, when you see the flashing prophecy signs below it will point to the place the warning is found in the bible. Then right after you read the prophecy sign you will notice the word news spinning as also seen below. Right next to the the spinning word news you will see the headline of the news report and the link to that report. Most of the time I won’t have to explain the connection between the prophecy and current news report because, the connection will be obvious.

For example, below you will see a prophecy about pestilences. If you have been watching the news you should have seen reports about massive locusts swarms taking place right now in many nations around the world. The locust swarms are in the billions and are eating massive amounts of food. Right now these locust swarms are in the process of moving from one nation to another and in the news today we see Argentina has now under a massive locust swarm.

Matthew 24:⁷For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

‘Plague’ of Locusts goes Global Hitting Argentina: ‘An End of Days Prophecy’ says Rabbi

Locusts are currently swarming on three continents as an outbreak of the vermin has now spread from Paraguay into Argentina. The National Service of Agri-Food Health and Quality (SENASA) said the swarm, estimated at 40 million creatures, was passing through the province of Chaco in northern Argentina on Tuesday. SENASA reported that the swarms are composed of the Schistocerca Cancellata species of locust in the subfamily Cyrtacanthacridinae which is different than the desert locust currently devastating Africa and southwest Asia. The South American species has an insatiable appetite for crops of wheat, corn, and oats. These are mostly grown as feed for cattle, a  major agriproduct of Argentina. The voracious short-horned grasshoppers are devouring enough crops to feed 2,500 people every day. High temperatures and wind are causing the swarm to move up to 100 kilometers a day. Now that you see how I teach and warn about the last days let me show you how another prophecy site looks.  I am not going to give the name of the site that has posted all the news below today. What I will do is ask you how in the world are you going to know how any of the below reports are connected to Bible prophecy?  Not one of the reports you will read below has made a single connection to prophecy scripture nor is there any explanation making any connection.  We are much to close to the Lord’s second coming to just post news without showing how that news relates to what Jesus stated about the last days.  If you are one of the people who really loves the Lord and has been reading the Bible and keeping on the watch as He instructed us to do than you should be able to see the connection between the news below and Christ’s warnings.

Israel-US defense tech cooperation may soon get a big congressional boost
A bipartisan effort is making its way through the US Congress that could see new support for Israel-US defense cooperation. It is a unique effort that now includes both a bill in the Senate called the United States-Israel Military Capability Act of 2020 and H.R. 7148 in the House of Representatives “to establish a US-Israel Operations-Technology Working Group.”

Honestly, I am not sure how many people reading this post today will believe anything Jesus Christ tells them? The reason why I have stated this is because our generation is living in the last Church age. This is the Church age that Jesus told us would be taken to Him when He blows the trumpet. In other words, because we are witnessing all of the last day birth pains signs as Christ showed us in Matthew chapter 24 we know that the trumpet sound can not be that far off. Never before have all of these last days signs happen all at the same time and that is the special sign we have be looking for. Not only that but Israel was born a nation for the second time and that is the key that opened up all the last days birth pain signs. If you don’t know anything about bible prophecy you will find in Matthew chapter 24 Jesus said ^{34 “}Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.”  So, if you are one of the people who are questioning what generation will see the Lord’s second coming as He promised your question was just answered! You are in that last days generation and that is the reason why you are seeing so many weird things taking place around the world right now. The birth pains are getting more intense just as they are suppose to. 

 One of the many last day signs has to do with many earthquakes that will be seen in that last generation. There will be many quakes and also major earthquakes which Jesus called “Great earthquakes”.  

“There will be…earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth pains” (Matthew 24:7b-8).  “The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again” (Isaiah 24:20).Luke 21: ¹¹There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. 

As I warned a few days ago you will see more of these Great earthquakes. Today I am just showing you the earthquakes that have taken place so far in 2020. Keep in mind, these are just the quakes with a magnitude 6.0 and greater. These are the very strong quakes!  Notice at the end of today’s list is a huge 7.4 earthquake that hit today in New Zealand.

There is also another major last day sign that those of us who have already taken Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior have been looking for that would provide proof behind measure that we are going to meet the Lord in the air soon.  That sign I am taking about had to do with of course the nation of Israel being born again first.  Since the rebirth of Israel the prophecy below has been fulfilled and is continuing to be fulfilled.

“‘The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their forefathers to possess,’ says the Lord” (Jeremiah 30:3).  “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.  I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’  Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made” (Isaiah 43:5-7).

In case you don’t understand, what we are told in the above prophecies is Israel would live again as a nation and, when that happened God would call Jews from around the world to go back to the Motherland Israel.  Since the rebirth of the nation Israel millions of Jews from the North, South, East, and West have left the nations they were living in and went back to Israel. 

I sure hope and pray that the people ready my post today will believe the following headline from Breaking Israel News is no coincidence. “Jews Worldwide Now Moving to Israel in Unprecedented Droves as Prophesied in Jeremiah”. I quote, from the report. “The latest forecast from Jerusalem says that Israel is expecting 90,000 Jews from the diaspora to emigrate to Israel by the end of 2021. The process of Jewish people worldwide naturalizing in Israel is called ‘Aliyah’. Aliyah Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata said on Wednesday that the latest estimates reveal that 90,000 Jews worldwide (Olim) will move to Israel from around the world in the next 18 months reports the JPost.Meanwhile, Nefesh b’ Nefesh, a non-profit organization that facilitates the Aliyah process, reported that more American Jews applied to immigrate to Israel or inquired about it in May than in any single month over the last two decades.The organization experienced nearly double the amount of Aliyah applications in May 2020 than in the same month last year. More than 800 households applied to make Aliyah online, compared to just 424 in May 2019.”

If you read my free prophecy book as seen at the top of my post and read the section on A Nation Reborn from chapter 9 of my book you will see all the facts concerning the number of Jews over the years who have returned to Israel.  One reason why Jews are leaving the places where they live is because antisemitism is increasing around the world.”  Of course the rise in Jewish antisemitism is not a coincidence as the Prophet Zechariah warned in the last days everyone would attack Israel. Zechariah 12:² Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. ³ And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Let me give you an example of what I am talking about.  On May 12, 2020 the New York Times ran the following headline: “Anti-Semitic Incidents Surged in 2019, Report Says” I quote, “The Anti-Defamation League reported more than 2,100 anti-Semitic incidents in the United States, a 12 percent jump and the most in any year since it began tracking them four decades ago.” https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/12/us/antisemitic-report-incidents.html

The rise in antisemitism isn’t confined just to the U.S. as seen in a U.S. News and World Report on April 20, 2020. The headline: Coronavirus Crisis Stoking Anti-Semitism Worldwide: Report”   “The coronavirus crisis is stirring anti-Semitism around the world, fuelled by centuries-old lies that Jews are spreading infection, researchers in Israel said on Monday. The findings, in the annual report on Anti-Semitism Worldwide by the Kantor Center at Tel Aviv University, showed an 18% rise in anti-Semitic incidents in 2019 over the previous year.In the first few months of 2020, far-right politicians in the United States and Europe and ultra-conservative pastors have seized upon the health crisis and its resulting economic hardship to foster hatred against Jews, the researchers said.” https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2020-04-20/coronavirus-crisis-stoking-anti-semitism-worldwide-report

Keep in mind the battle between Satan and Jesus Christ is waging on and will not stop until Jesus locks up Satan in those chains as seen in the book of Revelation.  One thing we know for sure is Satan is using his unrighteous people around the world to attack Jews.  Hence, Satan is currently using a virus to attack the Jews.  Of course Satan’s armies of the unrighteous are getting stronger and they have no fear these days of coming out for everyone to see them. “And there shall be signs in the sun” (Luke 21:25a).  “The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire.  They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him…Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done” (Revelation 16:8-11).  What we know from Jesus is our planet will heat up in the last days which year after year heat records around the world are in fact being broken.  Major droughts due to the intense heat is drying up drinking water.  My book is loaded with proof of how the birth pains of the prophecies above have been taking place and will get much worse the closer we get to the rapture of the the Lord’s Church.  Below are a few example of the drought problems.

One or more irrigation districts could be limited this year, said Jeremy Giffin, the Deschutes Basin watermaster, due to drought conditions that have afflicted Central Oregon for several years. Limitations could result in having to curtail or shut down a district’s diversion until more natural flow becomes available, he said. Drought has kept reservoir levels in the area at or near historic lows.

Gaza terrorists launch rocket, Israeli Air Force retaliates

After a relatively calm period brought on by the corona pandemic, Gaza terrorists again struck, launching a rocket into Israeli territory just before 9:00 p.m. on Monday, the IDF reported. A red alert was sounded through a smartphone application of the Home Front Command. In response, IDF aircraft targeted a Hamas infrastructure used for underground activity in the southern Gaza Strip. IDF tanks also targeted Hamas military posts. Ironically, the attack comes on the heels of reports Monday that Israel approved the transfer of $50 million from Qatar to the Gaza Strip. Qatar has been sending millions to the Hamas terror group with Israeli approval for ostensibly humanitarian services. The money is slated to arrive this week or next. Israel’s willingness to allow these huge cash infusions has not led Hamas to renounce violence.

Israeli Annexation is About Building Third Temple, Claim Palestinians

Palestinian Authority (PA) Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki (pictured) recently appeared to instigate a religious war between the Muslim world and Israel when he claimed that Israel plans “to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged Temple” after it declares sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria. “Israel’s annexation will place the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque… under full Israeli control, in order to execute their plan to promote their false narrative in order to destroy it and build their alleged Temple. This will turn the conflict from a political conflict into a religious conflict whose end will be bad and bitter, will undermine the stability, and will destroy the security and peace in the region and the world,” Al-Malki told the Arab officials. It should be noted that eastern Jerusalem and the Temple Mount were already annexed by Israel with the application of Israeli civil law there in 1967 and the passing of the Jerusalem Law in 1980. It is not part of the current annexation plan, and Al-Malki’s decision to invoke Al-Aqsa is a transparent effort to incite conflict.

  Trump’s Deal of the Century Leaves Many Israeli Heritage Sites in PA Hands

President Donald Trump’s Deal of the Century peace plan leaves hundreds of Israeli heritage and archeology sites under the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) jurisdiction, possibly endangering their existence. Hundreds of Israeli and Jewish heritage and archeology sites in Judea and Samaria would be removed from Israeli control and transferred to the PA, according to a map released by the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot on Tuesday delineating Israel’s borders as planned by Trump’s plan. Organizations campaigning for Israeli control of these sites have voiced concerns that Trump’s pending plan will “accelerate the already-rampant takeover, the re-interpretation and misappropriation of historic sites by the PA, and the already-tragic pattern of purposeful neglect by the PA that will facilitate even further looting and destruction of these priceless sites and artifacts.”

Netanyahu mulls staged annexation plan as pressure builds

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering a two-stage approach to annexation over parts of Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley, Hebrew media report on Wednesday. The presumed advantage of breaking annexation into two stages is that it will signal that Israel is paying attention to international concerns. The plan, which is in its initial stages, calls for Israel to extend sovereignty over smaller, more isolated settlements first. Those settlements would exist in bubbles or enclaves surrounded by areas with large Arab populations according to the Trump map. The purpose of focusing on these settlements is to take off the table the possibility that they’ll be uprooted in the future, as happened to the settlements in the Gaza Strip in 2005, in which some 8,000 Jewish residents were booted from their homes. Israel will then wait a period and invite the Palestinians back to the negotiating table. If the Palestinians continue to refuse – the Palestinian Authority has cut off all formal ties with Israel and the U.S. – then Israel will implement stage two and extend sovereignty over the rest of the areas permitted by the Trump plan.

    Jordan’s king tells US Congress Israeli annexation will put regional stability at risk

Jordan’s King Abdulllah has warned that Israel’s planned move to annex parts of the Israeli-occupied West Bank next month would threaten stability in the Middle East. In a video conference with US congressional leaders and committees, the king “warned that any unilateral Israeli measure to annex lands in the West Bank… undermines the prospects of achieving peace and stability in the region,” a royal palace statement said late on Tuesday. Abdullah said that peace would only come with the creation of an “independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state” with East Jerusalem as its capital. Israel had to withdraw from territory it seized during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, Reuters quoted the monarch as saying.

Five rocket attacks in a week target US in Iraq

Almost every day since June 8, there have been rocket attacks in Iraq targeting US forces, the US embassy in the Green Zone or the airport in Baghdad. The constant trickle of rockets is a message to the US during the period of US-Iraq strategic dialogue that is designed to show that pro-Iranian groups control Iraq and can do as they please. The recent salvos began with reports of a rocket attack near Baghdad airport on June 8. Then came a June 10 rocket attack near the Green Zone. On June 13, a 107mm katyusha rocket was fired at Camp Taji, where US forces are located. It was fired from near the base. The next night on June 14 more rockets were fired and a Bongo truck was found. This is the same model truck that Kataib Hezbollah has often used to mount the tubes necessary for firing the rockets.

Greek PM Visits Israel for Help with Military Confrontation Against Turkey

Turkey developed a plan for a possible invasion of Greece named after an 11th century Turkish military commander, Nordic Monitor reported citing secret documents. The documents were part of a PowerPoint presentation that was supposedly planned by the Turkish general staff for internal planning review. Titled “TSK Çakabey Harekât Planlama Direktifi” (Turkish Armed Forces Çakabey Operation Planning Directive), the presentation was dated June 13, 2014. According to the Nordic Monitor report, this suggests the plan was likely updated and finalized after a review of some earlier draft, and that the plan could still be active. Also included in the same document were plans to invade Armenia, the operation in this case being titled “TSK Altay Harekât Planlama Direktifi,” which was dated August 15, 2000. The documents were exchanged by top general staff commanders via a secure internal email system, the news portal reported. They appear to have been accidentally leaked in a court case file in Ankara that prosecutor Serdar Coşkun submitted to the court as part of an investigation into the failed military coup against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in July 2016.

Iran pounds “anti-revolutionary” positions in Iraq’s Kurdistan region

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has shelled the positions of “anti-revolutionary” groups near Iran’s western border in Iraq’s Kurdistan autonomous region, Khabaronline reported. The artillery shellings have pounded the area of Alana and Haji Omeran district bordering Iran, according to the report. The report said that the area has been used as the hideouts for the “anti-revolutionary” armed groups. The IRGC shelled the area for second consecutive day on Wednesday. Iran has said that border regions of Iraqi Kurdistan have been used for cross-border “terrorism.”

‘It’s the intifada in France’: Muslim gangs clash in streets of Dijon

Heavily armed Chechen and North African gangs clashed in the streets of the French city of Dijon over the past few days. “Weapons of war! Kalashnikov assault rifles, fire! Shouts of ‘Allah Akbar’ on both sides! It’s the intifada in the heart of a provincial town. All this with complete impunity,” said Meyer Habib, a member of the French parliament, in a Facebook post on Tuesday. In addition to the “four days of urban guerrilla warfare between Maghreb and Chechen community militias,” Habib pointed out the June 16 health care riots in Paris, and the June 15 anti-racism rally in which protesters shouted “dirty Jews.” “What do we do? Nothing!” Habib said. “The icing on the cake is that the far left wants to disarm the police! Instead of suspending our police forces ‘suspected of proven racism,’ it would be better to give them the means to enforce order!” He said, “It’s the world upside down, the Republic flouted. I’m in pain in my France! And afraid it’s too late…” According to a report by The Daily Mail, a Dijon police source said on Monday, “Unrest has been going on for the past three nights. Chechen gangs linked to the drug trade and other criminal activity have mobilized to take part in battles with other gangs.”

 North Korea demolishes liaison office as tensions rise

North Korea admitted Tuesday to bombing an inter-Korean liaison office building just north of the border with South Korea as tensions continue to escalate on the Korean peninsula. South Korea’s Unification Ministry, which handles relations with North Korea, confirmed to NBC News that the liaison office in the North Korean border town of Kaesong was demolished “by bombing” on Tuesday afternoon local time. “We confirm that NK demolished the inter-Korean liaison office in Gaesong Industrial Complex by bombing at 14:49 KST (01:49 ET),” a spokesperson said. North Korean state news agency, KCNA, also reported Tuesday that the joint liaison office was “completely ruined.” South Korea’s national security council has convened a meeting in the wake of the office’s destruction, a spokesperson for the country’s presidential office told NBC News.

    Fed chair warns of ‘significant uncertainty’ around US recovery

Despite some recent positive signs, “significant uncertainty” remains about the recovery of the US economy from the coronavirus pandemic, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said Tuesday. And unless consumers feel confident COVID-19 has been defeated, “a full recovery is unlikely,” Powell warned in his semi-annual testimony before the Senate Banking Committee. The pandemic has inflicted its worst consequences on low-income and minority groups, and the contraction of GDP in the April-June quarter “is likely to be the most severe on record,” said the central bank chief, who was testifying via video link.

On June 11th, a Congressional Task Force on Financial Technology held a hearing to discuss a number of bills about stimulus money and how it can be better delivered to the people who need it. The hearing discussed the possibilities of both a digital dollar and central bank digital currency (CBDC) in order to provide financial relief in a way that is faster and more reliable than the current method. The hearing featured the proposed CBDC, the Digital Dollar Project (DDP), a project backed by the Digital Dollar Foundation and Accenture. The DDP released their white paper for a US token-based digital dollar, a digital bearer instrument, in May. In the US, it appears that a CBDC would be based on the design of a cryptocurrency, but would be centralized in creation and control. Because it would be legal tender, it would not be deemed a cryptocurrency. It’s unlikely that a digital currency sponsored by a central bank would be able to solve some of the fundamental issues in the current system that we’re hoping crypto can help solve. These issues include the separation of money and state, removal of costly and inefficient intermediaries, and a financial store of value accessible to all.

8.5 million people affected, 63 killed as intense downpours continue to pound southern China

Intense downpours continue to batter southern China, leaving at least 63 people dead or missing and almost 8.5 million affected. Worsening floods have also displaced nearly 500 000 and caused direct economic losses of about 4 billion dollars or 21 billion yuan. The Ministry of Emergency Management confirmed the figures as heavy rains continue to batter 24 southern provincial regions. In Guizhou, officials said 700 000 have been affected, including about 30 000 who have been forced to flee their homes. Earlier storms in the previous week have killed 13 in nearby Hunan province and Guangxi region. Authorities in Zunyi city reported over the weekend that five people died while eight others were missing. At least 13 000 have been evacuated and more than 2 000 homes were damaged in the city. Some 152 mm (6 inches) of rain fell in one hour on Friday, June 12.

Senior Turkish Official Calls on Muslim ‘Umma’ to Free Jerusalem

Israel’s plan to extend its sovereignty to the Jordan Valley, and parts of Judea and Samaria, will “destroy all hopes” for lasting peace in the Middle East, Turkey’s top diplomat said on Wednesday. “If the occupying power [Israel] crosses the red line, we [Muslim countries] must show that this will have consequences,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said during a special meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Executive Committee, according to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency. The virtual ministerial meeting, initiated by Turkey at the request of the Palestinian Authority, was dedicated to the issue of Israel’s planned sovereignty move. Cavusoglu went on to say that “the annexation of the Jordan Valley by Israel and illegal settlements would be a violation of international law,” and warned that this would end the two-state solution and replace it with a one-state solution that would turn Israel into a “racist” state.

Balloon units threaten to turn Gaza envelope into ‘hell’

Israeli annexation of portions of the West Bank could destroy its normalization efforts with the Arab world, the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to the US, Yousef Al Otaiba said on Friday in an unusual appeal to the Israeli public. In an effort to directly reach out to Israelis, he published an opinion piece in the largest Hebrew daily, Yediot Aharonot. Al Otaiba followed that with a video message in the English language news service The National. “We wanted to speak directly to the Israelis. The message was all the progress that you have seen, and the attitudes that have been changing toward Israel, people becoming more accepting of Israel, and less hostile to Israel, all of that could be undermined by a decision to annex,” Al Otaiba said. “All the progress that you have seen, and exchanges and openings, could be undermined, by one simple step,” he continued. “I wanted to make sure people understood, how we saw this possibility and the risks associated with it,” he said. “There is opportunity for sure, that has potential in the coming years, as attitudes shirt toward Israel. But this could be a set back for all of those things, and especially for Israelis who are so keen on opening relationships with new Arab countries, that they don’t currently have relationships with,” Al Otaiba said. “So I wanted to make sure people understood the risks associated with this decision, beyond the immediate consequences of what happens on the Israeli-Palestinian track. Meanwhile, the Descendants of Nasser (Ahfad Al-Nasser) balloon unit in the Gaza Strip threatened Israel with renewed incendiary and explosive balloon launches on Thursday, warning that the coming days would be the “beginning of hell” for Israelis who live near the Strip.

Billionaire Haim Saban advised UAE ambassador on Israeli annexation op-ed

Israeli-American billionaire Haim Saban advised UAE ambassador Yousef Al-Otaiba regarding his op-ed against Israeli annexation in the West Bank and assisted in publishing it in the Israeli press, Israeli sources told me. Why it matters: Saban was one of Hillary Clinton’s main political backers and donors. He also has communication channels with President Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner. Saban and Al-Otaiba have known each other for many years and became friends. Israeli sources told me Al-Otaiba spoke to Saban 10 days ago and asked for his advice on the best way to reach Israeli public opinion and deliver a message against the Israeli government’s West Bank annexation plans. Saban told Al-Otaiba that any such message must be conveyed in Hebrew and through a big mainstream media outlet.

• Saban brought in his communications adviser Moshe Debi who heads one of Israel’s biggest PR firms. Debi worked with the Emiratis in the choreography and timing of this move. He recommended that the op-ed would be published in Yediot Ahronot due to its wide circulation and the fact it is read by a center right audience.
• The whole move was kept secret and other than the editor in chief very few people inside the Israeli newspaper knew of the upcoming op-ed.
• Al-Otaiba gave the White House a heads up the day before the op-ed ran. Most of the arguments in the op-ed were already conveyed to the White House in the weeks before as part of the private conversation between the UAE and the Trump administration on the annexation issue.

What’s next: The UAE public push against Israeli annexation is expected to continue next week.

• UAE minister of state for foreign affairs Dr. Anwar Gargash will speak at the American Jewish Committee virtual conference next Tuesday.
• He will be the most senior Arab official to speak at a public conference of a U.S Jewish organization.
• He is expected to continue UAE’s call for Israel not to annex the West Bank.

Sanhedrin Decision Pertaining to Trump’s Deal of the Century

The Sanhedrin released a statement on the soon-to-be enacted peace plan proposed by President Trump, which The Palestinian Authority rejected outright.  As the Sanhedrin of Israel, we will gladly consider any program that a world leader suggests if it is in accordance with the Torah. Therefore, in the program as proposed by the President of the US, we only accept the application of Jewish sovereignty insofar as it does not oblige us to abandon our rights and obligations pertaining to the land of Israel according to the borders set out in the divine promise recorded in the Torah. Therefore, the government of Israel is obligated to accept sovereignty over all the territories of Israel within the borders described in the Torah.

Jordanian King Abdullah II is refusing to communicate with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his government’s plan to annex parts of the West Bank, Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported Monday. Lebanon protests: Hundreds take to streets for second night

Hundreds of people have protested in cities across Lebanon for a second night over the handling of the country’s economic crisis. The Lebanese pound has fallen to record lows, having lost 70% of its value since October when protests began.The financial crisis has worsened during the coronavirus pandemic. Many Lebanese citizens who rely on hard currency savings have fallen into poverty due to capital controls, as banks restrict dollar withdrawals. More than a third of the population is unemployed. Protesters in the capital, Beirut, and in the northern city of Tripoli, threw stones and fireworks at police who used tear gas and rubber bullets. In Tripoli, protesters damaged the outside of several banks and shops, throwing petrol bombs at soldiers who responded with tear gas. Banks have been blamed for the country’s financial troubles.

Five days of protests have shaken Syria’s usually peaceful Druze enclave of Suweida, as rising prices and a falling domestic currency have pushed ordinary Syrians hurt by the crisis to vent their anger. Amateur video has shown scores of people demonstrating and chanting against the government. In Damascus, many shops and businesses reportedly have closed as exchange rates fluctuated wildly. Factories that produce pharmaceutical goods also have closed because of shortages of raw materials, while fuel shortages have forced the government to buy gasoline from Lebanon. Atop these developments, new U.S. economic sanctions on people and businesses trading with the Syrian government are set to take effect June 17.

   Turkish fighter jets attack PKK sites in northern Iraq

Turkish warplanes struck more than 80 Kurdish targets in northern Iraq in response to an increase in attacks on Turkish army bases, the defence ministry said on Monday. Iraq’s Joint Operations Command condemned the cross-border raid as a “provocative action” and accused Turkish forces of hitting a refugee camp. The operation, codenamed Operation Claw-Eagle, hit suspected PKK targets in several regions in Iraq’s north, including Sinjar, according to a tweet from Turkey’s military, which claimed 81 PKK targets were targeted, including shelters and caves.

A CNN reporter and her camera crew were attacked late Saturday as they covered escalating protests in Atlanta after police shot and killed Rayshard Brooks in a Wendy’s parking lot. CNN correspondent Natasha Chen and her camera crew were videoing protesters as they broke windows and set fire to the Wendy’s where Brooks was gunned down by police on Friday night. But the rioters apparently did not want their criminal actions to be caught on video. Tensions boiled over Saturday after video of Brooks death circulated on social media. The police officer who shot and killed Brooks has already been fired. Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields has also resigned. Meanwhile, Authorities in Washington state are reportedly set to take a stand against thousands of armed protesters, who have turned six blocks of Seattle’s Capitol Hill into an “autonomous zone.” On Friday, officials told reporters there are plans to take back “CHAZ,” an area formerly known as “12th and Pine.”

After resuming its 43rd session that was interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic three months ago, the United Nations Human Rights Council on Monday agreed to an unscheduled debate on racial inequality in the United States. The council agreed to the unscheduled debate after receiving a letter last week from several African nations. Burkina Faso diplomat Dieudonne Desire Sougouri, coordinator of the African Group, formally made the request Monday. “The death of George Floyd is unfortunately not an isolated incident,” the letter read. “The numbers of previous cases of unarmed people of African descent who met the same fate because of uncontrolled police violence are legion.” Wednesday and Thursday, the council will hold discussions on a U.N. plan of action to combat racism, discrimination, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance worldwide.

  Korea’s Central Bank Forms Legal Panel to Advise on Possible Digital Currency Launch

The Bank of Korea (BOK) said Monday it had launched a legal advisory panel to review possible regulatory hurdles in issuing a central bank digital currency (CBDC). The panel consists of six experts in the finance and IT sectors ― including professors of commercial law and lawyers specializing in fintech. One of them is from the BOK’s legal policy office. Starting Monday, the panel will be in operation at least until the end of May 2021, the central bank said. “We established the advisory group to discuss legal issues surrounding a CBDC and figure out which laws need to be revised or enacted for smooth progress in the BOK’s possible issuance of digital currency,” an official from the bank said. The launch of the panel is part of an initial step for the BOK’s 22-month-long plan to develop its own CBDC.

Federal civil rights law protects gay, lesbian and transgender workers, the Supreme Court ruled Monday. The landmark ruling will extend protections to millions of workers nationwide and is a defeat for the Trump administration, which argued that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act that bars discrimination based on sex did not extend to claims of gender identity and sexual orientation. The 6-3 opinion was written by Justice Neil Gorsuch and joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and the court’s four liberal justices. “Ours is a society of written laws. Judges are not free to overlook plain statutory commands on the strength of nothing more than suppositions about intentions or guesswork about expectations,” Gorsuch, one of the court’s conservatives, wrote in the majority opinion. “In Title VII, Congress adopted broad language making it illegal for an employer to rely on an employee’s sex when deciding to fire that employee.”

Record Breaking Interest in Aliyah from North America

Israel welcomed 51 Olim (new immigrants) who made Aliyah on Tuesday as part of a Nefesh B’Nefesh Group Aliyah Flight. Tuesday’s group was the first out of several which are expected to arrive in Israel this summer. The Olim included an 87-yeas-old and a one-year-old baby. The new arrivals came from New York, Florida, New Jersey, Texas, Wisconsin, California, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island and South Carolina. This flight follows a month showing a 100% increase in North American interest in Aliyah in comparison to numbers from May 2019, the highest recorded month of Aliyah applications that Nefesh B’Nefesh has experienced in the past 18 years, since its founding. April showed a 50% increase in Jews who applied for Aliyah from April 2019.

  High Court nixes Settlements Law as annexation approaches

The High Court of Justice on Tuesday night struck down the 2017 Settlements Law as unconstitutional as the country nears a major decision about annexation in the West Bank. The law, opposed by Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit, would have retroactively legalized over 4,000 unauthorized settler units in the West Bank. Allowing the law to stand would have been a sea change, which critics had called creeping annexation – though many unauthorized outposts would still not be legalized and there would not have been formal annexation. The 8-1 decision – with only Justice Noam Sohlberg in dissent – is sure to bring down a new wave of condemnations from the country’s right-wing which viewed the law as a singular achievement. However, at the same time, the ruling could bolster the High Court’s independence before the International Criminal Court which is currently deciding whether to dive deeper into the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

It will also include protests at intersections and in major cities. “In any future plan, we will not support the establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of the State of Israel,” said Yesha Council Chairman David Elhayani, who has been a vocal critic of what Trump calls “the deal of the century.” “We demand that the prime minister listen to the needs of the settlement movement and change the map to suit their needs. The map as it is presented today is the road map to a Palestinian state,” Elhayani says.

  Rocket hits Baghdad airport in another attack on US forces

A rocket has struck within the grounds of Baghdad International Airport – where US forces are deployed – in yet another attack against American interests in Iraq. Security officials said the rocket caused no casualties or damage. While a wave of similar attacks that began in October has since eased, the latest comes three days before US-Iraqi talks as part of a “strategic dialogue” including on future military cooperation. Security forces initiated a search operation to uncover the perpetrators, a US-led coalition statement said. An Iraqi security official said the rocket struck close to the coalition’s headquarters. The attack was the first to target the airport since May 6 when three Katyusha rockets struck near its military sector. That attack did not cause any casualties. Monday’s rocket fire was the 29th such attack against American troops or diplomats since October.

A new route has been charted on the map of patrols conducted by Russian and Turkish service personnel in Syria, according to Aleksandr Shcherbitsky, chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria. “For the first time, a joint Russian-Turkish patrol reached the village of Jennakra in Idlib province, with an itinerary of 40 kilometers,” he said. “Two BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and a Tigr armored vehicle took part in the joint patrol from the Russian side,” TASS quoted him as saying. He said that, on Wednesday, the 16th joint Russian-Turkish mission had patrolled the area along the M4 highway in the Idlib de-escalation zone. The highway lies between the cities of Aleppo and Latakia. The joint Russian-Turkish convoy was backed by unmanned aerial vehicles of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

 The Middle East now has three authoritarian alliance systems – analysis

Turkey is increasing its role in Libya while the Iranian-backed Syrian regime of Bashar Assad struggles to deal with a major economic crisis at home. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia continues to face off against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The Middle East today is divided along different lines than in the past, but it primarily boils down to three alliance systems. These systems are rooted in Tehran, Ankara and Riyadh, and they all seek different authoritarian agendas. TO SOME extent the new authoritarianism was a reaction to the rise and fall of ISIS. But it has now become a more active proxy war across the region. In Libya, Turkey has poured in money, drones and weapons to fight the Libyan opposition of Khalifa Haftar, who is backed by Egypt and the UAE. In Syria, a three-sided conflict takes place. Turkey opposes the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces, which it alleges are Kurdish leftists. The Syrian regime is backed by Iran, which wants a land bridge via Iraq to Lebanon. In Yemen, the Iranians send weapons to the Houthi rebels, who fight the Saudis. The region has rarely had these kinds of clear proxy conflicts in the past.

The era of the U.S. dollar’s “exorbitant privilege” as the world’s primary reserve currency is coming to an end. Then French Finance Minister Valery Giscard d’Estaing coined that phrase in the 1960s largely out of frustration, bemoaning a U.S. that drew freely on the rest of the world to support its over-extended standard of living. For almost 60 years, the world complained but did nothing about it. Those days are over. Already stressed by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, U.S. living standards are about to be squeezed as never before. At the same time, the world is having serious doubts about the once widely accepted presumption of American exceptionalism. Currencies set the equilibrium between these two forces — domestic economic fundamentals and foreign perceptions of a nation’s strength or weakness. The balance is shifting, and a crash in the dollar could well be in the offing. The seeds of this problem were sown by a profound shortfall in domestic U.S. savings that was glaringly apparent before the pandemic. In the first quarter of 2020, net national saving, which includes depreciation-adjusted saving of households, businesses and the government sector, fell to 1.4% of national income. This was the lowest reading since late 2011 and one-fifth the average of 7% from 1960 to 2005.

More than 500 people have succumbed to cholera and acute diarrhoea and left tens of thousands of others sick in Somalia since January, the United Nations said Thursday. The UN’s health agency said the epidemic had left more than 25,000 people sick, warning that number was likely to double by the end of June. WHO put the number of deaths since the beginning of the year from the epidemic at 524, while the UN humanitarian agency OCHA said 533 people had died. The case fatality rate, which measures the severity of an epidemic by defining the proportion of fatal cases within a specific timeframe, is currently 2.1 per cent — more than double the emergency threshold of one per cent.

Ecuador volcano eruption leaves several cities covered in ash

The eruption of a volcano in Ecuador’s Amazon region left several cities covered in ash on Tuesday, fueling concerns of a potential health impact as the South American nation slowly emerges from a brutal coronavirus outbreak. The Sangay volcano has had moderate eruptions for over a year that have had little impact because of its remote location, but a recent change in wind patterns has pushed ash toward the coast and affected areas including the largest city, Guayaquil. The institute said it expects minor volcanic eruptions to continue in the coming days but does not expect a major eruption.

Veteran journalist Elijah Magnier wrote on the website Medium about whether the “great Middle Eastern war will begin in the Levant” and cited Syria as a potential flashpoint. Magnier’s report is interesting because he asserts that according to “private” sources, Iran is evacuating “sites of the gatherings of its advisers, not for withdrawal or for redeployment, but to find bases within the Syrian Army barracks. Hezbollah has taken over the vacated Iranian buildings. Russia has been informed of the change so that the information would reach Israel.”

The Palestinian delegation to the United Nations (UN) has been advancing a resolution in recent days which condemns Israel’s intent to annex the Jordan Valley and key regions in the West Bank, Israel’s delegation to the UN revealed on Sunday morning. The Palestinian delegation intends to bring the resolution to the table of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) because the US has veto powers in the Security Council which will ultimately block any decision against Israel.

Following criticism that the Palestinians have not been organizing protests against Israel’s intention to extend its sovereignty to parts of the West Bank, the Palestinian ruling Fatah faction on Monday organized a demonstration in Ramallah against the Israeli plan. The protest came two days after thousands of Jews and Arabs gathered in Tel Aviv to demonstrate against the annexation plan. Palestinian Authority and Fatah officials have called for “mass protests” in the West Bank to foil the Israeli plan. However, in the past few weeks only a small number of Palestinians have taken to the streets to voice their opposition to the plan.

Dozens wounded in clashes as hundreds of protesters flood Beirut

Protesters poured into the streets of the Lebanese capital Saturday to decry the collapse of the economy, as clashes erupted between supporters and opponents of the Iran-backed Shiite group Hezbollah. Hundreds filled the streets in and around the protest hub of Martyrs Square in the center of Beirut, with skirmishes also between protesters and security forces, who fired tear gas. Forty-eight were wounded in the violence, 11 of whom were hospitalized, while the rest were treated at the scene, the Lebanese Red Cross said. It was the first major anti-government rally attracting demonstrators from across the country since authorities relaxed a lockdown imposed in mid-March to fight the spread of the coronavirus. But Saturday’s protest turned violent as supporters of Hezbollah clashed with some demonstrators calling on the group to disarm.

12 said killed in airstrikes, attributed to Israel, on Iranian sites in Syria

Twelve people were killed overnight Saturday in drone airstrikes targeting pro-Iranian militia in the Deir Ezzor region in eastern Syria, according to a Syrian watchdog group. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based watchdog, the Iranian positions were hit with eight airstrikes just before midnight. It said the sites had been refortified and restocked three days earlier, and munitions and vehicles were destroyed in the strike. The 12 killed were said to be Afghan and Iraqi members of pro-Iranian militia. The Observatory did not identify the aircraft responsible, but its head, Rami Abdul Rahman, told AFP that Israel was likely responsible. The airstrikes came after Israeli strikes targeted a weapons facility in the area of Masyaf in northern Syria on Thursday night, killing nine people and causing massive damage, according to reports from Syria. According to the Syrian state media outlet SANA, the country’s air defenses were activated by the attack.

2 Killed, 8 More Wounded in Terrorist Attack in Turkey’s Van Province 

According to media reports, the attack was conducted by members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which the Turkish authorities have designated as a terrorist group. At least two workers have been killed and eight more have been wounded in a terrorist attack in Catak, Van province, Governor Mehmet Emin Bilmez said on late Monday. According to the authorities, criminals targeted a civil service vehicle with handmade explosives at around 6 pm local time. According to Anadolu Agency, citing the local authorities, the attack was committed by the PKK, banned as a terrorist group by Ankara. The PKK has been seeking to establish autonomy in the country, and Turkey has been fighting the group since the 1980s.

Tripoli forces push on to take Sirte, despite Egypt’s offer for truce in Libya

Libyan fighters allied with the UN-supported, Tripoli-based government pressed on with their advance on Monday, boosted by recent battlefield gains and their rivals’ withdrawal from around the capital, AP reported, citing the warring sides. The push came despite a ceasefire proposal over the weekend by Egypt, a backer of the rival Libyan forces commanded by Khalifa Haftar, which have waged a year-long campaign to capture Tripoli. The Tripoli-based forces, backed by Turkey, gained the upper hand last week after retaking the capital’s airport, all main entrance and exit points to the city and a string of key towns near Tripoli. Militias fighting to defend Tripoli rejected Egypt’s proposal, instead pushing eastward to take the coastal city of Sirte. Taking Sirte would open the gate for Tripoli to press even farther eastward, to potentially seize control of vital oil installations, terminals and oil fields.

What is the only way our world can treat people of color as if there was no color to see? There is truly only one way that this can be done. When Jesus looks at a person, He sees no color. What he sees according to the bible is the hearts and minds of men. If we receive Christ and take up His image, then as followers of Christ we too will see no color of any man- only the person. Inspired by riots across America that have led politicians to repudiate law enforcement, violent protesters are now attacking police around the globe. Protests reached a horrifying apex of violence Thursday in Mexico when, during a protest in Guadalajara, a police officer who took his eyes off demonstrators was set on fire in an incident caught on video. Watching as a variety of people attempt to tear the United States apart at the seams one thinks about the intifada, the Palestinian “uprising” against or “shaking off” of Israel. The “protests” (riots?) in America have taken on some peculiarly Palestinian qualities. While most Americans recoil in horror from the images they have been seeing, others are looking for ways to capitalize on the situation and win adherents to their side. While everyone shares outrage about the death of George Floyd, no good can come of romanticizing and mimicking Palestinian “resistance.”

And African-American suspects were significantly more likely to have a deadly weapon than white suspects, yet more white suspects were killed.

  Russia can now use nukes if attacked with non-nuclear weapons

Russian President Vladimir Putin endorsed a policy on Tuesday that would allow the country to use nuclear weapons in response to a non-nuclear attack on it or its allies. The nuclear deterrent policy allows Russia to use nuclear weapons in response to aggression involving conventional weapons that “threatens the very existence of the state.” It also reaffirms the nation’s right to respond with nuclear weapons if it attacked with one, the Associated Press reported. Additionally, Russia could use its nuclear arsenals if it gets “reliable information” that it or an ally is the target of a ballistic missile attack. The policy also allows Russia to use nuclear weapons in the case of “enemy impact on critically important government or military facilities of the Russian Federation, the incapacitation of which could result in the failure of retaliatory action of nuclear forces.” Russia has also been developing a nuclear-equipped submarine for the past few years, and was expected to be commissioned by September. Additionally, Iran, Russia, and China participated in a joint war-game to send a “message to the world.”

US Bankruptcies Soar 48% In May, Most Since Financial Crisis

One month ago, when showing the uncanny correlation between defaults and the unemployment rates, we predicted that the number of Chapter 11 filings that is about to flood the US will be nothing short of biblical. All that was missing was a catalyst, one which according to Bloomberg arrived in late May as retail landlords started sending out thousands of default notices to tenants, who in turn experienced a collapse in foot traffic, sales and cash flow due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and were simply unable to pay their debt obligations. According to Bloomberg, restaurants, department stores, apparel merchants and specialty chains have been receiving notices from landlords – some of whom have gone as long as three months without receiving rent. An estimated $7.4 billion in rent for April hasn’t been paid (May numbers have yet to be released), or about 45% of what’s owed, according to a recent analysis by CoStar Group, which also found that just a quarter of of expected rent payments have been received by landlords.

 Northern Ireland under worst drought since 1976

Farmers in Northern Ireland are facing the worst drought since 1976. It came after an unusually dry spell and the sunniest spring ever, with records dating back to 1929. Allan Chambers, a member of the UFU’s Seeds and Cereals Committee, said the lack of rainfall placed farmers under a dire situation. According to Met Office, this year’s spring, which spans from March to May, was the sunniest on record for the region. The season recorded an average of 564.4 hours of sunshine across the area’s weather stations– the average for a Northern Irish spring is 428.78. The Met Office also recorded an average of 125.3 mm of rain, which is only 52% of the spring average. The average spring 2020 temperature for Northern Ireland was at 13.04 °C (55.47 °F), which was 1.25 °C (2.25 °F) higher than normal.

 American Jews on edge as rioters attack synagogues, Jewish stores

The riots in the United States following the killing of George Floyd have spread, with Jewish areas and synagogues being targeted and raising concerns in Jewish communities, the Forward reported. A Jewish-community activist told Yeshiva World News that as many as 75 percent of the Jewish-owned businesses on they city’s La Brea Avenue were vandalized during rioting over the weekend. The Jewish community has been torn as rioting spread. On the one hand, community members want to mobilize for the cause of justice for the black community, but in many cases they feel like they have become the target of the rioters. At least four synagogues were desecrated and vandalized in Los Angeles over the past days, with rioters taking advantage of the turmoil to spray open anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli inscriptions against them. The Beth Israel synagogue was spray-painted with “Free Palestine” and curses against Israel.

Gantz orders IDF to prepare for annexation at once

Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Monday instructed Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi to accelerate preparations for the possibility that Israel will apply its laws to parts of the West Bank after he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Trump administration officials. US President Donald Trump’s peace plan would allow for Israel to apply its laws to 30% of the West Bank. The coalition agreement between Gantz’s Blue and White and Netanyahu’s Likud says the prime minister can bring annexation to a vote in the cabinet or Knesset on July 1 at the earliest. The IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) plan to hold war games simulating possible responses to annexation, ranging from an increase in terrorism to a broad wave of violence, Channel 13 reported.

  IDF tanks face off against Lebanese soldiers armed with rocket-propelled grenades

IDF tankists and Lebanese soldiers armed with rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launchers aimed their weapons at each other in a face-off on the Israel-Lebanese border on Tuesday in an event described as “unusual” by Israel’s Channel 12. What makes the incident outside of the ordinary was the fact that the Lebanese soldiers were carrying weapons. Their presence in the area is routine, but they are typically unarmed. The IDF normally operates in the area as well. The two IDF tanks involved in the incident had crossed a border fence, Channel 11 reports. They were still  in Israeli territory, however, despite being on the border line. The northern border has been the site of several incidents recently.

First Russian Strikes in 3 Months Hit NW Syria

Russian air strikes have hit Syria’s last major rebel bastion for the first time since a March ceasefire came into force, a war monitor said on Wednesday. The Russian strikes on Tuesday evening and at dawn on Wednesday hit an area of the northwest where the boundaries of Hama, Idlib and Latakia provinces meet, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. The Observatory said the latest strikes were intended to push jihadists away from the key M4 highway in northern Syria, where Turkish and Russian forces often conduct joint patrols as part of the truce agreement. They were also intended to push HTS and its allies further away from the Sahl al-Ghab area in the north of Hama province, where government and Russian forces are present, it added.

Daytime clashes between police and the public on Tuesday were largely peaceful, as a second week of protests over George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis police custody began. Major cities continued with widespread curfews, and the National Guard attempted to prevent another night of violence and chaos. In interviews and posts on social media in recent days, current and former U.S. intelligence officials have expressed dismay at the similarity between events at home and the signs of decline or democratic regression they were trained to detect in other nations. “This is what happens in countries before a collapse. It really does unnerve me,” said Gail Helt, a former CIA analyst.

  Researchers discover unique, manmade viral manipulations of the COVID-19 strain

The Wuhan Institute of Virology in China is under worldwide scrutiny after a highly infectious strain of coronavirus began rapidly infecting Wuhan citizens late in 2019, before rapidly infecting people throughout the world. Now a new Australian study finds that the precise RNA sequence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus contains man-made manipulations that could have only been created in a laboratory. Australian scientists concur that the SARS-CoV-2 virus behind the COVID-19 pandemic contains unique, lab-invented properties that allow it to readily infect humans. The research, currently in the peer-review process, used computer modeling to understand how the virus infects various animals, including humans. Lead researcher Nikolai Petroysky found evidence to suggest that the coronavirus had been manipulated by the lab in Wuhan because it contains an unusual protruding spike that allows it to readily infect human cells. When in contact with human cells, the manipulated coronavirus strain contains binding strength that “far exceeds” attachment capabilities observed in other animal cells.

The magnitude 6.5 Monte Cristo Earthquake near Tonopah is still rolling. Two weeks after it woke Nevadans, the Nevada Seismological Lab has tracked a phenomenal 6,500 aftershocks — four at magnitude 5.0 and greater, from the earthquake sequence. The USGS, who is partnering with the Nevada Seismological Lab to monitor the earthquake sequence, estimates that for the week through June 6, there is a 99 percent chance of a magnitude 3 or higher earthquake with as many as 22-49 such events

 Severe Cyclonic Storm “Nisarga” makes historic landfall close to Mumbai, India

Severe Cyclonic Storm “Nisarga” made historic landfall over Maharashtra, India just south of Alibagh at 07:30 UTC on June 3, 2020, with maximum sustained wind speeds up to 110 km/h (70 mph) and gusts to 120 km/h (75 mph). The landfall process will be completed during the next three hours. After the landfall, Nisarga is very likely to maintain its Cyclonic Storm intensity for about 6 hours, while moving north-northeastwards across north Madhya Maharashtra. Storm surge of about 1 – 2 m (3.3 – 6.6 feet) above astronomical tide is very likely to inundate low lying areas of Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts and 0.5 – 1 m (1.6 – 3.3 feet) above the astronomical tide likely to inundate low lying areas of Ratnagiri district during the time of landfall. Nisarga’s center passed very close to Mumbai, a megacity and India’s commercial center with a population of 18 million, rarely impacted by tropical cyclones. In addition, this is its first time in recorded history to be struck by a tropical cyclone during the month of June.
