Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:7 Pestilence.  Droughts, locusts and floods-now a mouse plague threatens to cripple winter crops."  "With an estimated 8000 mice per hectare, farmers are fighting a losing war against the pint-sized enemy, which eats seedlings as quickly as they can be planted and chews through new crops.  Describing the vermin as "intelligent and crafty", NSW Riverina farmer John Pattison said their natural predators had disappeared after recent weather events, allowing them to multiply at a fast rate.  Not seen in such numbers for 15 years, they hide underground and grab the seed as it germinates. Primary Industries Minister Katrina Hodgkinson said she would move swiftly to increase the production of poison to meet demand. The worst affected areas are Hillston, Wentworth, Warren, Parkes and Griffith, with mouse activity and damage also reported in other areas across the Central West, Darling, Lachlan, Hume and Riverina."

 Prophecy Sign: Matthew 24:7 is the sign of many earthquakes.

“A magnitude 5.3 earthquake has toppled several buildings in southern Spain, near the town of Lorca, killing at least seven people, officials say. The quake struck at a depth of just 1km (0.6 miles), some 120km south-west of Alicante, at 1850 (1650 GMT), the US Geological Survey reported. TV shots showed rescue workers rushing through debris-littered streets. Old buildings were badly damaged by the quake, which followed a smaller 4.4-magnitude one about two hours earlier.  Spanish TV captured dramatic images of a church bell tower crashing to the ground, landing just metres from the cameraman.

Prophecy Sign: In Mark 13:8 Jesus tells us the last days signs will be as birth pains. I quote, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth-pains.”

“The global impact of natural disasters took a turn for the worse in 2010 with an uptick in fatalities and economic damage, according to a report released Tuesday.

Victoria Hernandez cries on March 1, 2010, outside the home of her parents who were missing after the earthquake in Dichato, Chile, a natural disaster that caused the worst economic damage last year.

There were 385 natural disasters worldwide last year that killed more than 297,000 people, affected over 217 million others and caused $ 123.9 billion in economic damages, according to the Annual Disaster Statistical Review 2010.

The number of victims increased from 198.7 million in 2009 to 217.3 million in 2010, while economic damages from natural disasters in 2009 were $47.6 billion.

"Two mega-disasters made 2010 the deadliest year in at least two decades," said the report.

Prophecy Sign: In Daniel chapters 2 and 7, and Revelation chapter 17 we are warned that the old Roman Empire would rise again in the last days.  What does this tell us?  It tells us that the US will play no major role in the last days because they were taken out as a major force at the time of the end.  The Book of Daniel doesn’t give one sentence to America as a world empire and the absence of information speaks volumes to us.  Our generation is actually witnessing the decline of America as a world power and one of the main signs of her decline can be seen in the dying US dollar.

“In reality, the US currency is currently plagued by an acute bout of weakness. Its exchange rate has stabilized at around $1.50 to the euro, which is not far from the low point that it reached before the outbreak of the financial crisis. Since the beginning of the year, the dollar has lost 13 percent against the euro.

The decline in the value of the dollar on the currency markets, however, is merely an indication of a profound global development. The dollar is in danger of losing its role as the global reserve currency and the world's benchmark unit for exports.

Not only is the euro gaining in importance — despite the debt crises in Greece, Portugal and Ireland — but the currencies of emerging nations like China, India and Brazil will likely play a larger role in the near future, both in global trade and in the investment practices of central banks. The dollar no longer has a monopoly, according to US economist Barry Eichengreen, a professor at the University of California, Berkeley.

There are many reasons, both short-term and long-term, for the decline of the greenback, a currency once coveted around the world. The fiscal policies of US President Barack Obama and his predecessors cast doubt over whether the US will ever be able to repay its debts. The rating agency Standard & Poor's has already threatened to downgrade the credit rating of the only remaining superpower.

Euro’s Rising Popularity

“These changes are being felt only gradually, but there is no mistaking them. The dollar is still used in twice as many foreign exchange transactions as the euro, but its share has steadily declined over the past 10 years, while the popularity of the euro has risen.

It's a similar story when it comes to currency reserves. Last year, the world's central banks kept 61 percent of their holdings in dollars. In 2000, this figure was nearly 10 percent higher.

The vacant space that this leaves in the banks' vaults is primarily filled by the euro. Its share rose from 18 percent in 2000 to around 26 percent 10 years later.

The euro is also gaining ground in its role as a pegged currency. In mid 2009, 54 countries had tied their currencies to the dollar, and already half as many had been pegged to the euro.”

As you can see from this gas sign the prices of gas will help to bring down what recovery the US was hoping for.  The higher gas prices will cause more lay offs in the coming months.

 Prophecy Sign: Psalm 83 war signs

“Egypt's military rulers promised Hamas' political leader Khaled Meshaal to let him transfer his base, command center and residence from troubled Damascus to a new haven in the Gaza Strip as an inducement for signing the Palestinian unity agreement with Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah on May 4. This is disclosed for the first time by debkafile's intelligence sources.  In Damascus, Bashar Assad's close confidante Rami Makhlouf threatened that Syria would go to war against Israel in reprisal for US and Europe backing for the uprising.

Makhlouf, an international business tycoon, is on the US and EU sanctions lists. In an interview with the New York Times Wednesday, May 11, he said: "If there is no stability here, there's no way there will be stability in Israel. No way, and nobody can guarantee what will happen after, God forbid, anything happens to this regime."
He advised the US and Europe not to "put a lot of pressure on the president, don't push Syria to do anything it is not happy to do."
The Syrian president is examining two strategic options, he said: "Going to war against Israel, and/or sending weapons shipments to the West Bank and to Israeli Arabs for use in terrorist attacks against Israel.

While Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak were putting their heads together on tactics for grappling with the explosive new situation Egypt is helping to put in place in the Gaza Strip, Makhlouf put a message from his masters up front: The real danger to Israel of a military flare-up lies in Damascus which continues to call the Palestinian shots.”

As you can see from this second report, “Hamas would be willing to accept a Palestinian state within 1967 borders, a leader of the militant group, Mahmoud Zahar, told the Palestinian news agency Ma'an on Wednesday, adding, however, that Hamas would never recognize Israel since such a move would counter the group's aim to "liberate" all of Palestine”.  How in the world does the leadership of any nation think their will be peace in the Middle East if Hamas who hates Israel will never recognize Israel?  Again, this news can only point to another war.

Hamas co-founder Mahmoud Zahar on Wednesday told the Maan news agency Hamas would never recognize Israel. Saying Hamas would accept a PA state based on the "1967 borders," Zahar made it clear a peace accord would only serve as a prelude to Israel's destruction.

“EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – At least two MEPs plan to put their personal safety at risk by going on boats in a new flotilla to break Israel's maritime blockade on Gaza. Flotilla organizer Manuel Tapial told press at the EU parliament in Strasbourg on Tuesday (10 May) that Willy Meyer, a left-wing Spanish euro-deputy, and Paul Murphy, a left-wing Irish member, will be on two of the around 15 boats that plan to sail from various European locations in June.  Speaking in a rival press briefing in Strasbourg on Tuesday, Israel's ambassador to the EU, Ran Curiel, said Israel has to control access to Gaza because militants continue to shoot rockets from the strip. "I cannot say hypothetically that they [flotilla participants] will endanger their lives. What I can say is that Israel will do everything in order to protect its citizens and we will do it within international law," he said.”

Prophecy Sign: Luke 21:25 the roaring of the seas and waves.

Violent thunderstorms tore through the upper Ohio Valley and Carolinas on Tuesday, leaving two people dead and a trail of damage.

The deaths and damage Tuesday afternoon and night were not at the hands of devastating tornadoes. Severe thunderstorms, mainly within one cluster, were instead responsible.

The deaths occurred during a singular incident in Ellenboro, N.C. The two people were killed by a tree, which was brought down by strong thunderstorm winds.

Another person sustained injuries near Salyersville, Ky., after thunderstorm winds dropped a tree onto a vehicle.

Numerous other trees are reportedly down from far southern Ohio to central South Carolina in the wake of the fierce thunderstorms.

Widespread power outages resulted. Duke Energy reported more than 72,000 outages in the Carolinas as of 6:15 a.m., according to WSOC-TV.

Rock Hill, S.C., recorded a peak wind gust of 62 mph from one of these intense thunderstorms. The winds in Rock Hill brought two trees down onto parked cars.

The strength of the winds within another thunderstorm twisted high-tension towers 12 miles south of Rutherfordton, N.C.

Additional damage was created by the large hail that accompanied the thunderstorms.

I received my first emails from Pastor Titus today since he and his team left to witness in Sudan.  Titus sent many pictures which shows many in Sudan did come to Christ for salvation.  However, as you can see from the Morobo Clinic slip in the second photo Titus got sick on the trip.  The only thing he wrote me about the trip was he is still sick and can't write now. As soon as he feels better he will write and tell us what happened on the trip.
