While many nations are facing extreme heat and drought in 2012, the nations are also witnessing the price of food continue to rise. April 25, 2012 Reuters reported “Global food prices are rising again, pushed higher by costlier oil, strong demand from Asia and bad weather in parts of Europe, South America and the United States, the World Bank said on Wednesday. The latest World Bank food price index showed the cost of food rose 8 percent between December and March.” “The price indices of grains, fats and oils, and other foods all increased in each month since January 2012," the World Bank said. The international rice price declined, however, due to abundant supplies of the grain and strong competition among exporters, the poverty-fighting institution said. If current food production forecast for 2012/2013 do not materialize, global food prices could reach higher levels and required close monitoring, the World Bank cautioned” (Ibid).
The 2012, heat records continued to be broken. The Washington Post gave us information on what heat records were broken in their report entitled: “U.S. completes warmest 12-month period in 117 years”. “As far back as records go (1895), never has the U.S. strung together 12 straight months warmer than May 2011 to April 2012 according to new data released today by NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) . The record-setting 12-month period edged out November 1999-October 2000, the 2nd warmest 12-month period, by 0.1°F. The average temperature was 2.8 degrees F above the 20th century average” (May 8, 2012). As you can see from the photo below the United States is headed for a massive drought. The NOAA on July 5, 2012 stated, “Drought conditions are present in 56 percent of the continental U.S., according to the weekly Drought Monitor. That's the most in the 12 years that the data have been compiled, topping the previous record of 55 percent set on Aug. 26, 2003. It's also up five percentage points from the previous
week.”

*As U.N.Finalizes Arms Trade Treaty, Opponents Warn of Global Gun Grab
*Obama toldto back off U.N. gun treaty
Amidenergetic lobbying from both sides, the Obama administration is taking part inmonth-long negotiations at United Nations headquarters aimed at finalizing aconventional arms trade treaty, which supporters say will save millions oflives but opponents fear threatens to restrict Second Amendment rights at homeand U.S. arms sales policies abroad. U.N. bureaucrats insist that the U.N.Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) will have no impact on civilian gunownership, saying that it will deal only with the arms trade across borders. They also stress that its outcome will not be imposed on any country, noting itwill only be binding on countries that ratify it. Over 100 members of Congressappear to share the concerns of a former Army general who has sounded the alarmover efforts by the Obama Administration to push through the United NationsArms Trade Treaty, or ATT. 130 members of the House, however, are not convincedthe treaty does not pose a threat to the Second Amendment. On June 29, they sent a letter to Obama and Secretary of State Clintonexpressing concerns about the treaty. The letter states that the treatyinfringes on the “fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms” and saysthe United States government does not have the right to support a treaty thatviolates the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Greece will not receive its next tranche of bailout aid unless it continues the implementation of economic reforms demanded by its international creditors, a European Union official warned Friday. "There will be no disbursement until the Eurogroup (of finance ministers) has determined that the programme is back on track," said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.Eurozone and European Union finance ministers meet Monday to follow up on a summit last week that was presented as a breakthrough in tackling the debt crisis. *Japan to go broke by October? Standoffthreatens to 'collapse' budget
A powerful politician and dozens of his followers quit Japan’s ruling party July 2nd andare likely to form their own rival bloc, dealing a blow to Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda. Ichiro Ozawa and 49 other law makers submitted their resignations to the Democratic Party of Japan, and others could follow later, party officials said. Thirty-eight are members of the lower house of Parliament, where a loss of 11 more seats would end the ruling party’s majority and could force Noda to call new elections. Meanwhile, Japan's government couldrun out of money by the end of October, halting all state spending including salaries, pensions and unemployment benefits, because of a stand off in parliament that has blocked a bill to finance the deficit. The deficit financing bill, which would allow the government to sell bonds needed to fund almost half ofthe budget, has languished in parliament as the ruling Democratic Party tussleswith opposition parties that can use their control of the upper house to rejectlegislation. "Without this bill, the budget will collapse," Finance Minister Jun Azumi said on Friday, pleading for cooperation from the two largest opposition parties.

China, the euro zone and Britain loosened monetary policy in the space of less than an hour on Thursday, signaling a growing level of alarm about the world economy, although suggestions of coordinated action were played down. Of the three, the surprise move was from Beijing which lowered its lending rate by 31 basis points to 6 percent following an interest rate cut just a month ago that also came out of the blue. The European Central Bank cut rates to a record low 0.75 percent following a dire run of economic data. But it steered clear of bolder moves such as reviving its government bond-buying program or flooding banks with more long-term liquidity.

Comment: As we enter the three week period of reflection
over the destruction of the Holy Temple, things are heating up on the Temple
Mount:
*The fast days of 17 Tammuz and 9 Av, and the time between them,
commemorate the tragic process of the destruction of the two Holy Temples in
Jerusalem. The fast of the 17th of Tammuz, the day of the breaching of the walls
of Jerusalem, marks the beginning of the “Three Weeks". The fast of the 9th of
Av, commemorates the day of the actual destruction by fire of the Holy Temple,
and is the last day of the Three Weeks.

*RABBI YISRAEL ARIEL, HEAD OF TEMPLE INSTITUTE BANNED FROM TEMPLE
MOUNT!
We have just learned that Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, the founder and head of the
Temple Institute has been informed by the police that he is banned from
ascending the Temple Mount. The police have likewise banned all those who
participated in the recent Jerusalem Day prayer on the Temple Mount. The
celebratory prayer took place with the participation of several members of the
Israel Knesset, and was covered extensively by the Israeli media. As according
to prior arrangement the police allowed the prayer and made no attempt to thwart
the prayer and songs. Rabbi Ariel, who was one of the paratroopers who liberated
the Temple Mount in 1967, was able to recite, on the Mount for the first time,
the Kel Malei Rachmanim memorial prayer for his fallen comrades. The
Rabbi was informed by police of his ban as he arrived at the Rambam Gate on his
way to ascend the Mount.

*Jewish Visitor to Temple Mount Told to Remove Kippah
MK Aryeh Eldad (Ichud Leumi) called Thursday to end Muslim control over
visits to the Temple Mount. “The time has come to end the occupation,” he
declared in a letter to Minister of the Interior Yitzchak Aharonovitch. “The
Muslim occupation that occurred 1,300 years ago, and is still in effect on the
Temple Mount, of course.” Eldad was angered by the arrest of a Jewish visitor to
the Temple Mount on Thursday morning, and the police’s decision to ban Rabbi
Yisrael Ariel, who heads the Temple Mount institute, from visiting the holy
site. Rabbi Ariel had been refused entrance to the Temple Mount on Wednesday as
he attempted to ascend in honor of Rosh Chodesh, the beginning of the next
Jewish month. Police told Rabbi Ariel that he was permanently banned, and would
not say why, Rabbi Glick said. Also, during a visit to the Temple Mount in
Jerusalem on Wednesday morning, a Jewish student was told by Islamic Waqf
officials to take off his kippah. The 20-year-old from London, England, was in
Israel as part of a student mission. He said he was told by three separate Waqf
monitors to take off the Jewish head-covering because it was offensive to them.

Israel’s 2009 offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, will pale in comparison to what will happen to Lebanon in a future war with Hezbollah, a senior IDF officer in the Northern Command said on Thursday. Given the assessments that Israel is likely to attack Iranian nuclear facilities in the coming months ¬ and the possibility that the ramifications of the civil war underway in Syria (for instance, the possible transfer of chemical weapons from the Assad regime to Hezbollah) could
lead to an escalation in Lebanon, Israel is sending a clear signal to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The Arab Spring in Prophecy
(Perilous Times Luke 21:9 & Nation against Nation, Kingdom against Kingdom Matt.24:7)(Revelation 6:3-4 Revelation 6:8)
Luke 21:9 and Matthew 24:7 speak of nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom in the end times. Revelation 6:3-4 speaks of the fiery red horse given power to make men slay one another and Revelation 6:8 speaks again of this red horse in conjunction with the pale horse of
Death and Hades, as the one that has the power to kill by sword.
I like to call this “The Arab Spring in Prophecy” because for us it is easy to identify- that’s what the world calls it.
Luke 21:9: wars & commotions; the Greek word here is
Akatastasia, meaning instability, a state of disorder, disturbance,
confusion (revolutions)
Matthew 24:7:the Greek word for nation is Ethnos
& refers to various ethnic groups fighting among themselves, where the next
sentence in the verse refers to kingdoms (basileiva) fighting one
another (not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or
authority to rule over a kingdom)
Countries highlighted in blue (see chart above) are only those listed
in the upcoming prophetical wars. I have tried to separate it into areas that

government of President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, in power for 23 years, to resign.
The demonstrations have yet to attract the large numbers seen in Egypt, Libya
and Yemen, but they pose another challenge to a government trying to deal with
multiple rebellions and an economic crisis. Online activists, some inspired by
the Arab Spring uprisings last year, have been using social media to call for
larger demonstrations, but Sudanese police and security forces have routinely
and swiftly crushed any sign of dissent.

*ECOWAS Seeks Broad-based Malian Interim Government
Several regional leaders, who are part of the Economic Community of
West African States (ECOWAS) mediation effort on Mali, meet Saturday in the
Burkina Faso capital, Ouagadougou, to review the crisis in Mali. Abdel Fatau
Musah, ECOWAS director for external relations, said one purpose of the
Ouagadougou meeting is to explore how best to broaden the transitional
government and chart a road map for elections.“There was a summit of ECOWAS
heads of state just a few days ago in Yamoussoukro and that summit took a number
of decisions. One of them was to ensure that the transitional government in Mali
was broad-based enough to push through a consensual transition leading to the
presidential election,” he said.

*Swaziland police fire tear gas on protesters
Swaziland police fired tear gas and beat stone-throwing protesters,
chasing some down into a hospital, after a demonstration held Friday in support
of teachers demanding higher wages. An Associated Press reporter saw the turmoil
at the end of the march, in which about 2,000 parents and teachers wound their
way from a park and bus station in Mbabane, the capital, to a labor court where
judges were considering a demand by the government that leaders of a teachers'
strike be arrested for contempt of court and disrupting education. It was
unclear when the judges would rule. The protesters were dispersing after the
teacher's union president addressed them outside the court room, but police
nonetheless fired tear gas. Some protesters responded by throwing rocks. Police
then began beating protesters, chasing some into the corridors of a nearby
hospital. Police were also seen beating bystanders. At the start of the march,
police had fired tear gas to try to keep about 500 protesters from joining other
marchers.

*Lebanese gunmen block roads to protest court ruling
Gunmen and protesters burned tires and blocked roads in northern Lebanon
for a second day on Friday in protest at a military court releasing eight
soldiers detained over the killing of a cleric. Soldiers shot the Sunni Muslim
sheikh, Ahmed Abdul Wahid, and a companion in May as they drove through an army
check point. The court on Thursday freed eight soldiers arrested after the
killing. Five others were kept in detention but the releases enraged Sunni areas
near the sheikh's hometown. Tensions have been high for months in northern
Lebanon, partly due to the revolt in neighboring Syria. Conflicting pro- and
anti-uprising sympathies has reignited local tensions and has sparked several
bouts of deadly fighting in the port city of Tripoli, which the army has
struggled to stamp out.

*Jordanians rally against government economic policies
Thousands of Jordanians took to the streets in the second largest city of
Irbid on Friday to protest against the increase in prices of electricity, fuel
and other commodities to tackle the country’s huge budget deficit while there
has been no raise in salaries and wages. The demonstrators urged the government
to return the prices to what they were before and find other ways to tackle the
budget deficit instead of putting the entire burden on the nation. Jordan's
budget deficit is expected to reach about USD 3 billion by the end of 2012. The
demonstrators also demanded sweeping reforms and an end to
corruption.

*Bahrain undergoing “unannounced state of emergency”
In a statement released today, 5 Bahraini opposition societies described
the current situations as an “unannounced state of emergency”. The statement
that included leading opposition party Al Wefaq said that the escalation in the
security crackdown is the product of a “political decision” and therefore not
the act of individual security officers. They went on to cite 5 previous recent
demonstrations that had been banned by the Ministry of Interior, as proof of the
ongoing crackdown. Previously, the government had been willing to allow the
demonstrations called by the mainstream parties but all of the recent requests
have been denied. The banning of protests has gone in tandem with increased
force being used by the security forces in order to suppress “those who dare to
express their opinions”.

*Romania president accuses government of power grab
*Romania: Lawmakers vote to impeach president
Romania’s president accused the government on Thursday of using an attempt
to impeach him as a way of grabbing control of the judiciary and other state
institutions. The leftist Social-Liberal Union (USL) government is set to use
its parliamentary majority to vote on Friday to suspend right-winger Traian
Basescu. A referendum would then be held on his impeachment within a month. The
impeachment threat is part of a wider political clash that has paralyzed
lawmaking and raised doubts over Romania’s ability to keep to a 5 billion euro
International Monetary Fund-led aid deal – hurting the currency and increasing
debt costs.

*China's Xinjiang a 'Police State' 3 Years After Riots
An exiled Uighur group says Chinese authorities have turned the
northwestern region of Xinjiang into a "police state," three years after the
outbreak of deadly riots between ethnic Uighurs and settlers of China's Han
majority. A Washington-based spokesman for the World Uyghur Congress, Alim
Seytoff, Thursday said Xinjiang security forces have intensified street patrols
of Uighur neighborhoods in recent days, making residents feel like they are
living in a "war zone." He made the comments on the third anniversary of the
start of the riots that the Chinese government said killed about 200 people,
both Uighurs and Han Chinese.
