Prophecy Signs: In Matthew 24:7 the Lord told us we would see wars and also hear rumors of war. If you have watched any news coming out of the Middle East you would know two things. First, the rumors of war between Israel and Iran has increased over the past few years and especially the past month. Second, we are watching a build up of forces from the US, Israel, the UK, and Iran. Is war in the near future? If you believe Christ’s warning from Matthew 24:7, and from Ezekiel chapter 38 you know that soon the rumors of war will become another major conflict in the Middle East. By now I am sure you have heard the news Israel has warned they will attack Iran to stop them from getting a nuclear bomb that will no doubt be used against Israel. Could today’s news bring the Middle East one step closer to a full blown war? Iran’s President has been looking for a way to bring on chaos in the Middle East, because as he has stated many times, he believes by bringing on chaos his hidden Islamic savior will come out of hiding and wipe out not only Israel but all people who do not follow his Islamic god. I am sure after you read today’s report you will understand the tensions between Israel and Iran just went up another notch.

“Two assailants on a motorcycle attached a magnetic bomb to the car of an Iranian university professor working at a key nuclear facility, killing him and wounding two people on Wednesday, a semiofficial news agency reported. The attack in Tehran bore a strong resemblance to earlier killings of scientists working on the Iranian nuclear program. It is certain to reinforce authorities' claims of widening clandestine operations by Western powers and allies to try to cripple nuclear advancements. The bomb killed Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, a chemistry expert and a director of the Natanz uranium enrichment facility in central Iran, the semiofficial Fars news agency reported. Natanz is Iran's main enrichment site, but officials claimed earlier this week that they are expanding some operations to an underground site south of Tehran with more advanced equipment. Witnesses told Reuters they had seen two people on the motorcycle fix a bomb to the car. "The bomb was a magnetic one and the same as the ones previously used for the assassination of the scientists, and is the work of the (Israelis),"

It appears Iran’s President just may get his wish concerning bringing on the chaos. What is currently happening near the Strait of Hormuz will either turn out to be a major birth pain, see Mark 13:8, or it will turn out to be as I said, a major conflict which would also fulfill Bible prophecy. Once again I have to tell you, if you read Ezekiel chapter 38 you will see that the ships and troops making their way to the Strait of Hormuz are the same nations that Ezekiel talked about in the Ezekiel 38 war. Is this nothing but another one of those coincidences? Since all the other prophecies Jesus warned of and specifically pointed out in Matthew chapter 24, are coming to pass at the same time in the same generation, I see no reason why we shouldn’t believe what Christ warned us and, what Christ told Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4. “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”

Any real Christian who has studied the Lord’s Word and has taken to heart the Lord’s warnings about events to take place in the last days knows full well that the times and seasons Paul spoke about are upon us. We can recognize them for the world is at the place where everyone is calling for peace and safety but we know what is coming next, the sudden destruction.

Now for today’s news:

“Iran's threat to close the narrow Strait of Hormuz has drawn the attention of military forces around the world and ignited a buildup that could endanger the region. While the U.S. and her major allies regularly maintain a naval presence in the Persian Gulf, other countries have dispatched warships to send a clear message to Tehran. UPI reported the Russian, French, British and Canadian forces are already on station in the Gulf, with additional forces in route. The U.S. Fifth Fleet is based in Bahrain and the USS John C. Stennis CVN-74 is currently patrolling the Gulf of Oman just outside the Strait. The Stennis carrier group is quite capable of handling anything Iran might choose to muster in a show of force. With more than 70 attack aircraft, plus a screening vessels of various capabilities, the U.S. Navy would easily dominate any encounter. But it's nice to know that other countries care enough to ensure the waterway stays open for commerce. The Russians have deployed the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, which is anchored at Syria's Tartus port on the Mediterranean. That action caused France to assign an air defense destroyer to the region as well. The Canadian Royal Navy announced Sunday the HMCS Charlottetown also departed for the Gulf.”

“The first exclusive rundown on US, Saudi and Israeli war preparations against Iran is offered in the coming DEBKA-Net-Weekly out next Friday. This issue also studies the points of consensus and dispute among the three on goals and priorities: The US and Saudi Arabia are set to unblock the Strait of Hormuz, whereas the US and Israel focus on curtailing Iran's work on a nuclear bomb. Military coordination is marred by mistrust. So Riyadh and Jerusalem are capable of going it alone.”

To drive my point home let’s look at Ezekiel 38:13: “Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?”

Ezekiel Chapter 38:13 tells us that Great Britain, which is Tarshish in the Old Testament and is known as the lion, the United States, Canada, and Australia, which are the young lions a break off from the main lion Tarshish are in the area of Saudi Arabia which is known as Sheba, and Dedan at the time the attack against Israel breaks out. When we read the Ezekiel prophecy we see these nations will do nothing to help Israel except to give their formal protest to the massive invasion.

Here is more proof that Saudi Arabia and the young lion, the United States, are on the same side as indicated in the Ezekiel prophecy. I quote: “Tuesday, President Barack Obama received the Saudi foreign minister Saud al-Faisal. Their conversation was shrouded in secrecy, although no one doubts it focused on the conflict with Iran and the urgency of keeping open the main export outlet for the world's biggest oil suppliers, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, through the Strait of Hormuz.” This report is long but it is worth the read if you really want to see what the Lord has shown us in the Ezekiel prophecy.

“BRUSSELS – US senators have warned EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton that Iran's alleged nuclear weapons programme risks igniting a military confrontation. "Iran's nuclear progamme is moving forward – sharply increasing the risks of either a military confrontation or other countries in the Middle East pursuing their own nuclear arsenals," eight cross-party senators said in a letter sent to the EU's top diplomat on Tuesday (10 January). They urged Europe to press ahead with sanctions on Iran's most valuable export – oil, with EU foreign ministers set to decide on a possible embargo at a meeting on 23 January.”

There have been many books written on how World War III will start. Many of the authors point out that the next war will start over oil! Could this be the case because of what Iran is doing? According to this report, Iran swiftly countered planed US sanctions against its Central Bank yesterday by announcing that it will no longer accept the US Dollar as payment for its oil shipments to India, Japan and China, and further announced that bilateral trade between itself and Russia will, also, break from the US Dollar for settlement in favor of the Iranian Rial and Russian Rubles. Sure to enrage the Obama regime, this report continues, was that the proposal to switch to the Ruble and the Rial was raised by President Medvedev at a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in Astana, Kazakhstan, of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Though Iran had previously announced in 2008 that it had stopped trading its oil for US Dollars (Ahmadinejad called the depreciating US Dollar a “worthless piece of paper”) India, Japan and China were made exempt due to their large holdings of American currency and fears of wreaking further chaos on the global economic collapse that had just begun. Important to note, this report reminds us, is that a similar move by Iraq’s former leader Saddam Hussein in not accepting US Dollars for oil in 2000 brought about the invasion of his country by the Americans and their European allies resulting in his eventual execution and causing the vast wealth of Iraqi oil and gas fields to be turned over to the Western oil giants. Likewise, this report says, former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi earned the same fate as Hussein after he, in the months leading up to the US-NATO military attack on his country, called on African and Muslim nations to join together to create a new currency that would rival the US Dollar and Euro and saying that Libya would only sell oil and other resources around the world only for gold dinars.”

‘US builds hospitals in Georgia, readies for war with Iran’

“The United States is sponsoring the construction of facilities in Georgia on the threshold of a military conflict in Iran, a member of Georgian opposition movement Public Assembly, Elizbar Javelidze has stated. According to the academician, that explains why President Mikhail Saakashvili is roaming the republic opening new hospitals in its regions. “These are 20-bed hospitals…It’s an American project. A big war between the US and Iran is beginning in the Persian Gulf. $5 billion was allocated for the construction of these 20-bed military hospitals,” Javelidze said in an interview with Georgian paper Kviris Kronika (News of the Week), as cited by Newsgeorgia website. The opposition member stated that the construction is mainly paid from the American pocket. In addition, airports are being briskly built in Georgia and there are talks of constructing a port for underwater vessels in Kulevi on the eastern Black Sea coast in Georgia.”
