Prophecy sign: Rev. 16:8-9, Matthew 24:7, Luke 21:11, and Mark 13:8. These bible verses tell us in the last days the sun would scorch the earth and both the earth and man would be affected as result of the intense heat. Matthew, Luke, and Mark point out famines will come prior to the Lord’s return. Mark also points out when we see these signs “these are the beginning of birth pains”. Contained in these same verses we also see that nation will rise against nation. Mark also stated “And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled for such things must needs be: but the end shall not be yet” (Mark 13:7). Ezekiel shows us one of these major wars in Ezekiel 38-39 and tells us Russia, Iran, Turkey, Iraq, and other Arabs nations will attack Israel. All of these prophecies signs are in the news today.
Relief Web news had the following headline published on Aug. 15, 2008. “Severe drought and food price increases cause malnutrition and disease” According the RW report “Afghanistan is experiencing its most severe drought in eight years, with farming communities in the northern provinces being the hardest hit. In these areas where crops and livestock are dependent on rainfall rather than irrigation, an Afghan minister reported that 1.5 million people are in need of urgent humanitarian relief.” Not only is the drought affecting so many people but Afghanistan has been a war since 2001.

Revelation talks about droughts, intense heat and the lack of fresh water. Mark, Luke, and Matthew also speak of famines and droughts in the last days. Look at what 2,500 experts are talking about at the Stockholm, Sweden summit. “While global attention has recently focused on energy and food, a global summit this week in Stockholm, Sweden, will tackle the key issue of water. The World Water Week meeting starts on Sunday and will hear renewed calls to solve growing challenges of sanitation, climate change and drinkable supplies. Sanitation in particular is one of the most important global issues.” Christ warned of complex problems that would show up prior to His second coming. Right now this planet is facing major droughts, water shortage, and major changes in the weather. China is running out of clean drinking water. The report from the UK stated “By 2025, 1.8bn people will be living in regions with absolute water scarcity”. Let’s review what Mark said would occur during the last generation. Mark pointed out when we see these signs “these are the beginning of birth pains”. This generation is in the midst of these birth pains right now! We are witnessing the birth pains of war, rumors of wars, famine, drought, weird weather changes, and intense heat.

News from Israel today gives us a glimpse of rumors of war and the nations involved in the report are the same nations Ezekiel warned us about in chapter 38. For months both Israel and Iran have been exchanging rumors they are going to attack each other. Last month we saw Israel practice for a bombing raid on Iran. A week after that news broke Iran in June launched dozens of missiles to demonstrate to Israel they could now hit Israel with their weapons. Once again today we see pictures of Iranian planes ready and able to strike at the heart of Israel. The Jerusalem Post today ran a report, which they entitled, “Iran says its warplanes are capable of reaching Israel. ”Iran claimed Sunday it has increased the range of its warplanes, allowing them to fly as far as Israel and back without refueling.” Right now we are seeing part of the prophecy being fulfilled. So far we are only hearing rumors these two nations are going to war soon, however in the near future both these nations will in fact fight each other and, that is where Ezekiel’s prophecy will be fulfilled.

For months I have been writing posts to show you America is losing her power as the top ranked superpower. Turkey, which is named in Ezekiel 38 as one of the nations that will attack Israel in the end times, made it in the news twice today. If you know prophecy you know these news reports reflect future events in prophecy. Today the Turkish government recognizes the US has lost her power in world affairs. In Chapter 1 of my book I explain the ‘New World Order’ that is coming and will be headed by the Antichrist. I found it interesting that the report on Turkey was entitled, “Turkish Prez says US must share power in New World Order’. I will let the report explain this for you. “Days after Russia scored a stunning geopolitical victory in the Caucasus, President Abdullah Gül of Turkey said he saw a new multipolar world emerging from the wreckage of war. The conflict in Georgia, Gül asserted, showed that the United States could no longer shape global politics on its own, and should begin sharing power with other countries. "I don't think you can control all the world from one centre," Gül told the Guardian. "There are big nations. There are huge populations. There is unbelievable economic development in some parts of the world. So what we have to do is, instead of unilateral actions, act all together, make common decisions and have consultations with the world. A new world order, if I can say it, should emerge."

What the Turkish Preident said was all true. America has lost much of her influence on the world stage. Case and point, Russia invaded Georgia this week. What has the most powerful nation in the world done about it? Nothing. The US can’t do anything about it because we are no match any longer against Russia unless America drops a nuclear bomb on the Russian troops and we know that is not going to take place. You must understand what this is all about. Russia is the main supplier of gas and oil to Turkey. When Russia invaded Georgia this week Turkey’s gas and oil flow from Russia was cut off. What has no happened is “The geopolitical turmoil in the Caucusus — a region between Europe and Asia that includes the nations of Georgia and Turkey — has placed Turkey in a difficult position between pleasing its neighbor Russia and not hurting its relationship with the US.” Since Ezekiel told us Turkey would invade Israel with Russia in the end times, we know that Turkey will choose Russia over the US, mainly because Russia has all the oil in the world and the US is dependant on foreign oil. America has become a weak nation in part because US. Liberals in our government will not let us remove oil
that is just sitting there ready to be extracted. Everything we now see in the news is driving us to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39. This section of the report sums it up best. “Russia's message in the five-day clashes in the Caucasus was clear: The region is still the backyard of Moscow, which is the main actor that would ensure the energy supply security for Europe. In other words the sudden spark in the conflict that brought Georgia to its heels, reasserted Russia's claim as the dominant force in the region, and dealt a blow to the U.S. prestige. News in the headlines today also read as follows: “Ahmadinejad: Iran, Turkey, Syrian and Iraq hold talks continuously”. I quote, “We are four neighboring countries, with shared cultures and civilizations and very broad beliefs. We think there are enough issues to necessitate for ontinuous' holding of continuous four-sided talks-the economic, cultural, political, security, joint investment, campaign against terrorism and organized crime are among the issues that make it necessary for the four countries to hold talks continuously, and to act harmoniously with one another." Notice the words economic and security is in red. Do you find it strange that Ezekiel said Turkey, Iran, and Iraq would form an alliance in the last days with Russia and they would all invade Israel? Syria who was mentioned in the above report is also mentioned in Isaiah 17:1. If Israel bombs Iran’s nuclear power plant in the near future as they say they are, then the economic and security of all these nations will be threatened. Iran is a major oil producer in the region, if Israel through their bombing of the nuclear plant stops the flow of oil, it would upset the whole region. Since Russia is a major ally of these nations they would be forced take sides with their partners. As a result we could see these nations turn on Israel. It is very possible this is how the Ezekiel war may start.

Syria who is mentioned in Isaiah 17:1 has just announced that Lebanon expects full diplomatic ties with Syria within 2 months
”Lebanon's foreign minister said Saturday he expects diplomatic ties with Syria to be fully established and ambassadors to be exchanged within two months”. This is important to prophecy as well because Ezekiel told us the coming attack against Israel would come from the north parts. I quote Ezekiel 38:15. “And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with three”. Syria has allies in Lebanon who also hate Israel, they are called Hezbullah. Notice Syria would only form full diplomatic ties if Hezbullah played an important role. “Syria agreed to the diplomatic steps only after a Lebanese unity government was formed Tuesday that gives the Syrian-allied militant Hezbullah group a strong say in Lebanon's decision-making”. Last summer Syria and Hezbullah based in Lebanon went to war with Israel. It was a short-lived battle. At the current time Syria and the Hezbullah have been rearming themselves for the next war against Israel.

Rumors of war between Hezbullah groups and their Syrian allies are spreading throughout the Middle East. Israel at the current time is beefing up their military to their north. I can only tell you what the prophecies say about the coming future, I can’t make you believe it. I do know this, everything Jesus warned us about is taking place right now. Every sign the Lord warned us about is in our face! It would be wise to believe the Word of God, because soon you will see the Syrian’s attack Israel again. Not only will Syria engage in a war with Israel but the rest of the nations listed in the Ezekiel prophecy will come down from the north as well. God told us that He would defeat the armies, which come against Israel. We are running out of time before these battles take place. Christians watch the news because our redemption is very close. I pray you who still don’t believe in the Word of God would open your hearts to Christ before it is to late. You do not want to be left behind on this planet to face the Antichrist, but that is what will happen. Anyone who has not taken Christ as their Savior will be left behind.
