Hello Mr. Di Mora,
We've never communicated before, but the Lord has impressed upon my heart to email this to you. Thank you for your work in the Lord Jesus Christ. This email is not only encouragement for us to remain (abide) in Him, but also an exhortation to be holy, for the time is near! It is my hope you will share this email with all that follow and listen to this ministry.
I've been IN Christ since 1991, the year when I truly got saved. I say truly saved because I was brought up in the evangelical church since birth, having accepted Him into my life at age 12, but I was still giving into sins of the flesh the Bible says, "they that do these things will not inherit the kingdom of God" (Gal. 5: 19-21). I was brought up in the teaching that Jesus Christ died for my sins, and that upon confession of my sins and turning (repenting) from them that He would forgive and cleanse me of all unrighteousness (which He does), but at the same time I didn't have the expectation to not sin anymore, for my unstanding was that we all have a sin nature and have sinned, and will continue to sin.
The mindset in most of Christendom today believe it's impossible to cease from sin for this is what has been taught in the churches for many years. Students of the Bible quickly refer to 1 John 1: 8 that say, "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." But is this what this verse really communicates, that we cannot be without sin? Interestingly the very next verse says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (vs. 9).
The belief, that it is impossible to cease from sin, has pervaded and now dominates the minds of most in the churches today because they either do not want to stop sinning or they have been under the influence of incorrect doctrine that conditions the mind to believe a lie. The true gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news telling us that we no longer have to be enslaved to sin anymore; that we can actually be free from sin, if only we would believe. Free indeed!
The true gospel (Good News) tells us that Jesus Christ came to set us free from sin. The doctrine of Jesus Christ teaches us how to live sin-free (2 John vs. 9). But many will say we have a sin nature, and that He didn't die to take away the sin nature! This is true, He did not die to take away the sin nature, but He DID die that we could have POWER over our sin nature, so that through the Holy Spirit, WE can now die to our sin nature, therefore proving that we love Him (John 14: 15).
As we know, the time is very short. The reason I am sharing this email with you is so you in-turn will share this truth with all you know, informing them of His great expectation of all who name the name of Christ to truly repent of their sins (2 Tim. 2: 19), and to be holy, for He is holy (1 Pet. 1: 16).
Sadly, for most of Christendom, because they still sin and are unwilling to repent from sin, including to believe it's possible to cease from sin, their understanding of the word of God has been darkened, teaching and believing after commandments the doctrines of men. God's word, as you know, is spiritually discerned, and most understand His word only through their natural man/woman.
I have been convicted by Him to go and share His truth to all who have ears to hear!
Here is the true doctrine that all need to understand. This is the truth and is no lie:
Scripture tells us there is sin that leads to death and sin that leads not to death, and also, that all unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not to death (1 Jn. 5: 16-17). Here is the meaning that has brought much confusion to the churches:
Sin not to death, is this: Before sin entered into the world Adam and Eve were created perfect, clothed with light, as the angels. When sin entered in, their bodies became mortal, made of flesh and blood (skin and bones), which is now subject to entropy (decay).
Along with their mortal bodies also came questioning, concerns, worry, forgetfulness, impairment of communication (giving and receiving), bad attitudes, etc. These type of imperfections when compared to perfection in heaven are considered corruptible (sinful), therefore our earthly bodies compared to that which is perfect in heaven is sinful (corruptible), which will not be changed in the here and now, and is why the Apostle Paul said, "Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect.." (Phil. 3: 12), but those who are IN Christ will receive immortal bodies, and will be as the angels, clothed in white, perfect.
Sin to death, is this: Because of Adam and Eve disobeying God's command to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, their inner man and inner woman changed, desiring the things that come of the devil, therefore sins that lead to death are these things: refer to 1 Cor. 6: 9-10; Gal. 5: 19-21; Eph. 4: 17-31; Col. 3: 5-9; 1 Thess. 4: 3; Rev. 21: 8; etc., and whoever (those claiming to be Christians or not) that does these things will not inherit the kingdom of God!
All unrighteousness is sin, is this: Compared to that which is perfect in heaven anything that comes short of perfection is sin, therefore both above categories fall short of perfection, which is why it says, all unrighteousness is sin.
The sin that leads not to death are understood and not counted against us, but the sin that leads to death are expected of Him that we repent from, for these are things we can exercise self-control via His Holy Spirit.
Because we live in a corruptible body (tent) we are subject to imperfections, which will remain until that which is imperfect passes away, but because of Jesus Christ and the work of the cross, we now have power to put away the sin that leads to death because of His Spirit. By this we know if we have His Spirit or not.
Anyone who says that we cannot be sin-free blasphemes the Holy Spirit, for He was given to empower us to be free from sin.
Our barometer of knowing if we are truly saved or not is if we have ceased from committing sin that leads to death. It is only through the Holy Spirit, which we receive when we confess and repent of sin, asking the Lord Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior, that we can be free, because it is Him that empowers the believer to not sin, which is in agreement with His holy word of truth, and is our reasonable service (Rom. 12: 1-2).
*The falling away spoken of in 2 Thess. 2: 3 is the forsaking of the gospel truth! This has been going on for a long while. It's only now that the end is near because belief in the false gospel, that we cannot cease from sin, within the churches prevail, for they refuse (repudiate) to believe that it's possible to cease from sin. This is why the Apostle Peter says that "the time is come that judgment begins at the house of God…" (1 Pet. 4: 17).
If anyone is still doing sin that leads to death, they will receive the wrath of God: "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience" (Eph. 5: 6).
Confess your sins, repent, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and abide (continue to remain) IN Him.
"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give ev
ery man according as his work shall be" (Rev. 22: 12).
