A strong and shallow earthquake registered by the USGS as M6.0 hit Hindu Kush region, Afghanistan at 19:17 UTC on August 31, 2025. The agency is reporting a depth of 8 km (5 miles). EMSC is reporting M6.0 at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles).

Iran’s looming collapse: Dangers of civil war, regional instability
There is a danger that the collapse of the Iranian regime could lead to a vacuum of governance and subsequent civil war, a report released on Wednesday by the Henry Jackson Society. The report comes in light of various setbacks to the Iranian regime: Israel’s targeted strikes in April 2024 and June 2025 resulted in the weakening of its air defense capabilities; Israel’s decapitation of Iran’s proxies Hamas and Hezbollah have detracted from its regional influence; and the overthrow of the regime of former Syrian president Bashar
Only four Houthi ministers remain alive
Reports indicated that among those killed in the Thursday operation were Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi and the Ministers of Economy, Industry and Investment; the Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security; the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration; and the Deputy Interior Minister. The strike also killed the Houthi Prime Minister’s office director, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, the Justice Minister Majahad, and the Minister of Youth and Sports. According to additional reports, the Transportation Minister was also killed.

A senior Houthi official, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, said on Sunday that Israel’s assassination of the group’s prime minister, along with a number of senior ministers, represents the crossing of a red line, and said the group has no choice but to take revenge. “We remind Israel that in the end they will pay the price for all the crimes they commit, whether in Yemen or Palestine or Lebanon or Syria, al-Bukhaiti said.
You would think A government official, i.e. Chicago’s may would want to protect his constituents, this is not the case in Chicago! The only thing this Democratic Chicago mayor has done is reinforced crime by not standing against it.

Chicago police will not collaborate with any National Guard troops or federal agents if U.S. President Donald Trump deploys them to the city in coming days as threatened, Mayor Brandon Johnson said on Saturday. The Democratic mayor, surrounded by other city leaders, signed an executive order aimed at preparing Chicago for any U.S. enforcement operation as Trump has done in Los Angeles and Washington, and urged the Republican president to reverse course.

Florida Probe Uncovers Migrant CDL Test Cheating With Hidden Cameras
applicants used tiny cameras to transmit test questions outside DMV facilities, where an accomplice provided answers through an earpiece. Police in Jacksonville recently arrested several migrants in the scheme. One man was sentenced to eight months in prison, another was turned over to ICE, and others had cases dismissed after court-ordered conditions. Officials describe the cheating operation as “highly organized” and likely active nationwide. It comes amid a rise in fatal crashes involving non-English-speaking truckers.

What did Jesus mean when He gave this warning in 2 Thessalonians 2:11?
“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.”
This verse is set in the context of those who refuse to believe the truth of the Gospel and instead choose to embrace falsehoods and deception. It reveals that God allows—or permits—a powerful delusion to overtake those who reject the truth, leading them even deeper into lies. This is understood as a form of divine judgment, a consequence for their willful rejection of God’s truth.
Could it be possible that when the Church of Christ is raptured and taken to heaven, the “strong delusion” will be the lie that those missing were taken by aliens—and that those left behind are actually the “good” people? When, in reality, the opposite is true?
