Each one of us is going to die, its only a matter of time. Knowing this it would be a good idea for a self examination right now before you step before Christ. Since we are living in the last days this self examination of where we truly stand in Christ Jesus becomes most important. Are you really a true Christian because, if you are you must bear fruit. A true Christian will be known by their fruits!

The Bible repeatedly emphasizes that those who belong to Christ will produce “fruit” in their lives—observable actions, attitudes, and character traits that reflect God’s Spirit within them. “You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit… Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.”
Here, Jesus warns about false prophets, but the principle applies to all who claim to follow Him. A true disciple cannot remain fruitless; the nature of the tree determines the fruit it produces.
John 15:5, 8
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit… By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”
Fruit-bearing is not optional—it is proof of authentic discipleship. Without abiding in Christ, there is no real spiritual life or evidence.
Paul’s Writings
Paul echoes this principle when he describes the fruit of the Spirit:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”
These qualities reveal the presence of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life. In contrast, Paul lists the “works of the flesh” (Galatians 5:19–21), warning that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
What is “Fruit”?

Warning Against False Profession
Jesus made it clear that not everyone who claims to follow Him is truly His disciple:

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
Outward confession without inward transformation leads to spiritual deception. Genuine Christians are not identified by mere words, rituals, or religious affiliation but by consistent fruit in their lives.
Practical Implications for Believers
Self-Examination – Paul instructs: “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Growth in Christ – Bearing fruit is progressive; it increases as believers abide in Christ and submit to the Spirit.
Discernment – Christians are called to discern truth from falsehood by observing fruit in the lives of teachers and leaders.
Witness to the World – A fruitful life draws others to Christ (Matthew 5:16).

The Bible makes it clear: true Christians are known by their fruits.
