The superflu that never was
Once again, as Christmas approaches, we are told the NHS is on the brink. Headlines warn of a “superflu” season threatening to overwhelm hospitals, with language that feels uncomfortably familiar. The sense of déjà vu is striking. In 2020, the public was told that extraordinary interventions were justified because the situation was exceptional. There is nothing exceptional about the current circumstances, yet across Europe, the same crisis framing has returned.
Paul warned two things would have to happen before the rapture of the church took place. Christians are Disappearing from the Middle East – And the West Is Doing Nothing About It
For nearly two millennia, Christianity has been woven into the fabric of the Middle East. Long before Europe adopted the religion, ancient churches flourished from Jerusalem to Damascus, Antioch, Mosul and Alexandria. Today, those communities are disappearing at an alarming pace, and not only is it going unreported, but it’s more impactful than most realize. In country after country, populations of Christians have collapsed catastrophically thanks to war, Islamist extremism, economic pressure, and quiet discrimination emptying lands where Christianity was once native. The result is the erasure of a moderating, pluralistic presence from one of the world’s most volatile regions. And what’s even more concerning is the West’s seemingly total indifference to it.
Jesus warned that the final generation would resemble the days of Noah and Lot. Our generation has become a reflection of exactly what Christ cautioned against. In Luke chapter 17, Jesus gave a very specific sign so that that generation would recognize His return was drawing near. Satan has been working to push people into the same kinds of behaviors that existed in the days of Noah and Lot, with the goal of corrupting and destroying them. One of Satan’s tools in this effort has been unholy Hollywood. I have put together a partial list of examples to illustrate this. Hollywood isn’t the only place Satan has been using, the gay movement has spread around the world.
