A strong earthquake registered by the USGS as M6.3 struck 84 km (52 miles) SSW of Nikolski, Alaska, on September 3, 2026. The agency is reporting a depth of 35 km (21.7 miles). EMSC is reporting the same magnitude and depth. A tsunami is not expected from this earthquake.
